________________________________________________________________________

Please note that this will be a short story, and I apologize in advance if I skimp on the details somewhere along the line. This is due to the fact I am writing this at...11: 55 PM my time. Why? Because this thought actually woke me, and I wanted to write it down before I forgot. Why am I writing about Drones? I have no idea. Why am I even dreaming about Drones? Again, no idea.

(Please forgive any grammar mistakes)

"Hurry, fall back now!" Screamed the radio in Zack's helmet.

"Negative, there's too many!" Screamed an ODST in response.

"Shit! Reinforcements!" One screamed over the radio.

Zack looked behind him, and saw there was a charge of Brutes, Grunts, Jackals and a swarm of Drones. He immediately turned back around to run, and noticed his squad mates were already way ahead of him, running away.

"Damn! Cowards!" He screamed in his mind.

He ran towards the nearest door along the street, trying to open it. He tapped a control at the door, but it didn't budge.

"No!" He whispered.

Suddenly he bashed the controls with his silenced magnum and with a hiss, the door slid open. Overcome with joy, Zack quickly shook his head, and looked around the doorframe into the street.

"Maybe the enemy ranks didn't see him." He thought out loud.

He scanned the area, and saw they indeed didn't notice he was there. In fact, they were now setting up barricades, and putting up energy barriers to block some streets off.

"Shit." He thought. "They're going to trap me in without even knowing it."

He then noticed they broke rank, and started going off in formations of five or more to scout the area. As the rest of the entire force left, a squad of two Brutes, eight grunts, and what looked like ten Drones still remained in this closed off part of the city. Realizing he had adequate cover, he decided to quickly take the opportunity to hop in the building, and seal the door behind him.

Looking around, he noticed some stairs heading upward, and took them cautiously. Upon reaching the top, he found there was an elongated tall slit that served as a window, over looking the place the aliens have set the barricades.

"Well..." He thought, "I'm not stuck with TOO much to face with...maybe by the grace of god and an itchy trigger finger, I can take em'."

Taking advantage of the moment of peace, he walked to the opposite end of the room where there was a phone.

"Yes!" He joyously shouted in his mind. "A phone! Help could be a dial away!"

He picked up the phone and frowned. The phone line was dead. Throwing the useless phone aside, he sat down and contemplated his next move. But all he could think of was, if he was lucky, taking out maybe both Brutes, only to be overcome by the Drones and Grunts. Or take out most, if not all the Drones, only to be over come by what ever remained.

"Damn." He sighed.

Getting back up, he walked over towards the window, and saw the Brute Captain giving orders to some of the force that remained there. He squinted, focusing on something, then activated his visor and zoomed in.

"Whoa...that's new." He said to himself.

Among the Drones, there was a red one. It appeared to be giving orders to all of the other regular green Drones. The Brute Captain pointed at the first large energy barrier, then at the second. Then he pointed at the ground where he stood. Giving a nod, the other Brute quickly shoved five Grunts out the barrier, quickly following them to scout ahead. The Brute Captain did the same with the remainder of Grunts, except he took the other way. After everything was done moving around, Zack noticed there was only the ten Drones to deal with.

"Dear god...thank you." He said while looking up.

He only had to take out ten Drones to get out of there. He readied his silenced SMG and began to unload on the group of Drones who of which were silently sitting there listening to a holographic image of the Prophet of Truth talk about the "Great Journey". Zack's rounds impacted the first unlucky Drone in the side of the head, causing it's head to nearly explode. Seeing this, the other's quickly took flight and scattered. However, the red one managed to reorganize them, and locate where the fire came from.

The red Drone pointed a claw at the window where Zack stood astonished. "They rally themselves now?" He questioned aloud.

Suddenly a hail of pink needles shattered the remaining window glass, and impacted the wall behind him. Quickly, Zack returned fire, and shot down another three Drones while they attempted to fly right in the window. The red one let out a loud squeal sound and the others formed a protective body shield around it. Suddenly they all charged the window. Zack seeing this, quickly reloaded his SMG and shot at the oncoming flight of Drones, quickly killing four more in the front of the formation. Zack again reloaded, but didn't noticed the low ammo indicator flashing red on his HUD.

Zack shot again and killed the remaining two Drones, but the final red one managed to clear the window, and land in the little room where he was. Zack spun around and shot at the red Drone, and managed to hit it dead on with three rounds, until his SMG clicked empty. The two rounds impacted the Drone, causing it's shield to flicker in response, then fail. The third round managed to skid the back armor plating on the Drone's back as it turned away, leaving a shredded groove.

"Shit!" Zack yelled under his breath. "Even these bugs have freakin' shields!"

He dropped the SMG and immediately went for his side arm. The Drone, now recovered from the attack, grabbed a red plasma rifle and aimed at Zack. Zack's eyes widened, then as the red bolts of plasma streaked past his head, he dove to the right, and landed behind a small table. He got up, and kicked the end of the table so that it stood up and then grabbed and threw it at the shooting Drone. Seeing the table, the Drone managed to sidestep it, but it still caught it's left arm which held the rifle.

The Drone then dropped it's rifle and grabbed it's left wrist. It then suddenly looked up to see Zack raise his hand to strike it's head. Quickly, the Drone used it's right hand and slashed with it's claws at the pistol, knocking it free of Zack's hand. Then it used it's left hand and slashed the right side of Zack's helmet, leaving three slash marks along side it. Zack stumbled backwards as he grabbed his head. All he saw was static, then he would catch a glimpse of the room, then static again.

"Shit! It fucked up the optics!" He yelled.

Stumbling back, he hit the wall, and slumped down. He looked up to see the Drone, leaning along side the other wall, holding it's left wrist again. Zack then glanced at the center of the room, and saw it's plasma rifle lying there, alongside his pistol. Both he and the Drone were equally spaced apart from the weapons lying there.

"Just a matter of speed." He mumbled.

Yet no one moved. The Drone slipped down to a crouch and watched him, and he did the same. It felt like hours as they sat there, waiting for each other to make the first move. The light outside faded to night as the duo waited in the small room. Zack noticed he must have really hurt the Drone, as during this whole time, it held it's wrist.

"Ha...hope I broke it." He mumbled.

Nemea watched this creature with extreme caution. It badly injured her wrist, and she was sure she would make it pay.

"You will die heretic!" She hissed.

"Yea?" Zack responded not knowing what she said. "Well, hissy right back at ya..."

She squinted her eyes. "All she had to do, was hold out, until the others came back." She thought.

Suddenly they both heard startled snorts from Brutes from the ground below. Nemea quickly moved to the window to try to get their attention by squealing and making as much noise as she could. Zack seeing this, quickly got up and ignoring the weapons in the middle of the room, grabbed the Drone, and threw her to the floor. Zack looked out the window, just in time to catch a red hot plasma bolt in the face plate of his helmet.

"Shit!" He yelled as he tried to get off his damaged helmet off. He stumbled backwards, and hit the wall opposite the window. Seeing the Human distracted, Nemea quickly got to the window and spread her wings to fly out. But as soon as she was about to leap out, she was hit in her right shoulder by a red plasma bolt. Being hit, only burnt a little, but it caught her off guard.

"Perhaps a misidentification?" She thought as she looked down.

But that question was soon answered as they pointed at her, and continued shooting.

"No! You idiots!" She hissed as she backed away from the hail of red plasma bolts and pink needles. "It's me!"

She took a few more steps back and hit the wall. She quickly looked at the Human, and noticed he managed to get his helmet off, but was still sitting there. She also noticed he was closer to the weapons in the middle of the room than her. She squinted her eyes in anger, and sat down.

"Betrayed...and trapped with the enemy." She thought. She looked at the Human and hissed, "Do it, now. Take my life, and send me along the path!"

But Zack still sat there looking at her. He was utterly puzzled. Tactically, his mind was completely thrashed.

"Why would they attack their own teammate?" He thought while looking at her. "Was it because she failed to kill him?"

She stared back, then lowered her gaze to the floor. Shaking, she covered her front by crossing her arms around her. She ached, and hurt, and was very cold.

"Why gods? Why?" She thought while looking up. "I believe in the Great Journey, it's my very religion!"

She looked down, and saw the Human wasn't there. She immediately grew nervous, and quickly glanced around the room. She then looked to her right, and saw the Human sitting there beside her. She immediately ruffled her wings and glared at him while hissing in a low tone.

"Listen, don't get your feathers ruffled there buggy, I'm in the same boat." He sighed.

She continued glaring at him and noticed he held no weapon. She then looked, and saw that both weapons were still lying in the middle of the floor, untouched. She looked back at the Human thinking, "Does it trust me?"

She didn't know much about Humans, other than they were the enemy, they were considered heretics, and that they, along with any other species of life had a male and female. She didn't know whether it was male or female, but she remembered that this Human had a low voice. In her culture, and in her species, the one with the low voice was usually a male. Plus the fact that all the males in the Covenant had low voices too.

Suddenly, she smelt something. She lifted her head and looked at the Human. She then saw the Human was looking at her as well. She thought the smell came from him, then she saw the Human look down at her legs. She was puzzled, and looked down for herself, and realized the musky sent she smelled was herself aroused. She also noticed she had some liquid discharge leaking on the floor.

She immediately put both her hands down between her legs embarrassed. Suddenly a sharp pain jolted up her left arm. She yelped, retracting her left arm and putting it on her right shoulder. She sat here shaking, holding herself wondering what was happening when she felt something touch her left hand. She looked to her right and saw the Human touching her left hand.

She immediately jolted back, and fell. She was lying in the prone position, still holding her nether region and her right shoulder.

"No..." She thought. "I'm being aroused by a Human...I'm going to hell for this..."

Zack got up and walked slowly over to the shaking Drone, and grabbed her left hand. She tried to struggle, but that only made the pain worse.

"Hmmm, did a number on it didn't I?" He said to her.

She understood him perfectly because of the small translator chip on the right side of her head and replied in a hiss, "Yea, only because of your..."

She didn't get to finish hissing at Zack, as she felt some comfort. She noticed he was gently massaging her left wrist, and studying it.

"Yea, shattered." Zack said aloud.

"Great." Nemea thought. "Thanks for telling me what you did to me..."

Zack then disconnected his backpack off his armor, and rummaged through it until he found some gauze. He then took her hand and tightly wrapped it in the gauze, and laid it beside her. She laid her head back, and let the Human wrap her wrist, and didn't say a word, until he started toughing the hand between her legs. Her head shot up and she quickly showed resistance.

Zack lifted his hands saying, "Whoa, I was checking if you were shot down there! Geez! Bite my head off wontcha!"

"Well, that is typically what my species does to a mate if he doesn't follow the female without question..." She thought.

"What?!" She screamed in her mind. "Why am I thinking about mates while I'm with this Human!"

As she was thinking, Zack removed her right hand from between her legs and saw her pussy was actually so wet, it was dripping. Nemea's eyes shot open. She quickly raised her head to see the Human looking at her.

"Ooops...sorry." Zack said embarrassed.

"How could I be so dumb?" He muttered. "Then again, I didn't know she was...a she."

Nemea sat up, and grabbed Zack around the neck pulling him down on her. Immediately, Zack thought she was attacking him, so he sat back up. But he noticed she was still lying there. Then he felt a tug at his belt. He looked down and realized the Drone was trying to lazily pry his belt off.

"What?! Is she doing what I think she's doing?" He thought aloud.

Hearing this, she figured he knew what she was doing, and continued working at his clothes. She tried every angle, but didn't manage to get any article of clothing off him. Seeing this happening to him, brought Zack to arousal. He looked down, and saw the female had already noticed the bulge in his pants and was stroking it. He let out a low gasp as she redoubled her efforts to stoke it.

Suddenly, Zack fell backwards, trying to get away from the Drone. Seeing this, Nemea let out a low coo of grief then she raised her head to look at the Human that caught her imagination. She wanted him, she didn't know why, "Perhaps because of the circumstances..." She thought. But she still didn't know exactly why.

Zack hearing her whines of neglect, suddenly felt sorry. "Damn it to hell..." He thought. "I'm gonna catch hell for this, I know it."

He stood up and started stripping he clothes. First starting with his chest plate, and ending with his boots until he wore only his jumpsuit and the clothes beneath it. He then walked over to the shuddering Drone and laid on top of her. He noticed she was shaking, probably because of the cold night air.

She sat up, and gently pushed Zack down, and got on top of him. She looked down, and noticing he wasn't' fully undressed, decided to help him. She looked down between his legs, and saw the familiar bulge from before and caressed it. Then she started using her claws to cut the jumpsuit's crotch.

"Oh no! Those claws will cut me in half!" Zack cried in his mind.

But Nemea showed extreme precision, and managed to carefully cut the crotch of the jumpsuit, and his undergarment, revealing Zack's throbbing manhood. Nemea then pulled herself away from Zack, and laid there on her back next to him.

"Now..." She clicked softly. "Please."

Zack then moved himself on top of the begging Drone, and slowly inserted his erection into her moist depths. Nemea cooed once more from the pleasure, as Zack started slowly thrusting. He grabbed her wrapped claw and moved it to the side of her head and began softly stroking it with his one hand, and did the same to her other claw with his other hand. Her wings lazily opened from the pleasure exhorted on her body, as she continued cooing to his blissful movements.

It wasn't long until she was completely driven by lust, and desire for Zack. They laid there bucking each other, in the spread eagle position, wishing it would never end. Suddenly her hands wrestled themselves free from Zack's gentle grip, and wrapped themselves round his back hugging him.

Suddenly she felt this urge to move, this urge to wrap herself around him. She then wrapped her legs around his thighs and began hugging him with all her might. Feeling this, caused Zack to begin bucking faster and deeper.

"More! More! Please, don't...don't stop!" She clicked.

Zack continued his wonderful onslaught of movements against her as she wiggled from the feeling. Suddenly she felt herself rip the back of his jumpsuit.

"No!" She cried. "My claws..."

Zack stopped, momentarily stunned by this, and wondering if it meant for him to stop.

Looking at the ceiling, Nemea cried, "Curse my body!"

She tried to look for a solution to her devious claw problem, but found none. She wanted to hug him, to hold him tightly. But, because of her claws, she couldn't without cutting his skin wide open. She then realized Zack grabbed his backpack, and had it on, and began to straddle her again.

"There." He said to her with a smile. "Now you can scratch all you want."

He smiled as she wrapped her legs around his waist once more as he began bucking. It wasn't long until she was cooing loudly and ripping his back pack apart, letting the contents fall out. Suddenly she screamed as she felt the extreme warmth of Zack's cum travel through her depths, warming her body instantly.

Zack, now exhausted, laid on his new found lover, and breathed on her neck. Nemea slowly warming, more and more, cooed in his ear in return. She was drunk...drunk with the glowing after pleasure of their actions. She couldn't think strait.

Suddenly a loud blast woke her from her blissful stage. Zack got up and crouched near the window looking out. Outside, he saw an ODST driving a tank, blowing up anything that looked like a Covie threat, accompanied by four marines with rocket launchers, and shotguns.

He turned back to look at Nemea, who exchanged a worried glance between him and the window.

Zack huffed and walked towards the entrance to the room and touched the panel causing the door to slide close.

As he turned to his prone lover lying there, still drunk from him, he said, "Well, looks like we won't be bothered anytime soon."

He then smiled and laid back on her, keeping her warm, falling fast asleep along with her.
