Tomo Kray begins(a requested short story, may become series later)
Tomo Kray , the white Tiger General of Safron 7 , was cast out of not only his world but his universe all together. His story is a tragic one. He came from the gravel of the lowest point of society and became a member of the high guard army . He fought wars and won many lands for his king , king James the third. It wasn't until Tomo became a general that he realized his king was not like the last. King James was a tyrant seeking only to conquer and rule the world so that he may set it a blaze. But this was not enough for Tomo to leave his king . It took the death of his wife and child.
Tomo didn't know who was to blame until he approached the king one dark day . He asked for permission to find and kill the one responsible for the death of his family and with a smile king James told him it was Tomo's own fault for allowing such a hor to speak poorly of the majesty.
Tomo was destroyed, in a shocked and uncontrollable rage he drew his sword and held it to the kings throat. Of course it wasn't more than a second later Tomo was knocked unconscious.
He awoke chained to a wall and before him stood a figure chanting words unknown into the shadows. Tomo strained to get free as the figure turned and approached him. The figure spoke briefly whispering into Tomos ear so that only he could hear.
Majid- I am here to send you away , to a place far from here so that you may never return
Tomo- why not simply kill me , is the king so weak he can not offer me a noble end
Majid- your death would surely send the land into revolt , this way takes you out of the picture, or so the king thinks
Tomo- and by this you mean to say what
Majid- I am a member of the revolutionaries, where I send you to is unknown to even myself but I have already given you the tools to find your way back to us
Tomo's snarling face simmered down.
Majid - I dont have long , the guards will be back any moment to confirm that I have done away with you , all that you must know is that your sword and shield are the way home and with them you may return and lead us to salvation
Tomo- explain yourself further, how are they the key
Majid said nothing more . He toched the wall behind Tomo and walked away. There was a breeze that seemed to come from a crack in the wall and Tomo could feel it getting stronger. The bricks began to fling left and right. Before long the wall behind him was no more. Even the stones binding his arms and legs were free. Tomo began to run for the door which Majid stood in front of. Just as Tomo was about to grasp Majids cloak the breeze that blew the wall to nothing turned to suction pulling Tomo back.
He fought and tried to use his weight to hold himself to the ground but it was too much , he was pulled through the hole in the wall. He flew fast traveling through a vortex that had no end. There was no light no dark ,no black no white , only grey and time. He floated on and on until finally he gave up hope of ever seeing any end. So he shut his eyes and went to sleep.
When Tomo opened his eyes he was laying in what seemed to be a barn. He got to his feet quicky and ran outside, it was day , but where was this day. The sun was moving to the north and there were two moons in the sky.
Tomo- where am I
Tomo walked looking for whomever might own the barn he awoke in. It was then that he saw something laying on the ground before him. It was glowing red. He got closer and closer until finally it was clear that It was his shield.
He picked it up and beyond what he could fathom there was great magic hidden within the grip of his shield. There was a tingling in his bones that turned into a fire. He screamed aloud as his entire self crumbled but as it turned to ashes it regained shape , just not the original.
Tomo felt shorter smaller less heavy but he didn't know why. The shiled that was in his hand somehow became a gauntlet around his hand that he could not release. He ran back into the barn frantically searching for something with a reflection. Tomo found a shard of broken glass. He looked at himself and could not recognize his own face.
He had become an otter, short and dare he say cute for the male that he is.
Tomo- this is the sorcery that witch spoke of
Titus- who are you
Tomo turned around and there stood another male otter, clearly older, holding a shot gun to his head.
Tomo- my name is Tomo Kray , and I am a general of Safron 7
Titus- general of what now
Tomo- Safron 7, the seventh planet of the Safron star system
Titus- well I dont know about any place called Safron, but you are in my barn and youed be best to leave it Mr. General
Tomo was puzzled , clearly he must have been further from home than he initially thought if Safron 7 was not a commonly known place.
Tomo- my apologies, Sir but mightyou direct me to your nearest comand station so that I may speak with your leader
Titus-look here sony boy , Im gonna give you till the count of three to get off my property before i blow your head into a hay stack
Tomo- that would not be wise
Titus- one
Tomo- Sir I do not wish to hurt you
Titus- two
Tomo started to walk towards the old otter slowly.
Tomo- dont do this
Titus- three
The old otter fired. Tomo held his arm infront if his face and out of the gauntlet came the shiled to block the shot before it then returned back inside the gauntlet. Tomo griped the old man by his neck lifting him off the ground. His strength somehow was still with him even though he now occupied a much smaller body. He came close to snapping the old farmers neck but dropped him back to his feat instead.
Titus coughed as he caught his breath.
Titus- what the hell are you
Tomo- I will ask you once again Sir, take me to your leader
Titus drove Tomo into town in an old pick up truck. It was Tomo's first time in a motorized vehicle. Titus was reluctant to speak or even muter the slightest sound but being the old man that he was he felt to proud to be scared in his own truck.
Titus- your not from around here are you
Tomo- no
Titus- how are you so strong
Tomo- it is like you have already asked , I am not from here
Titus kept his eyes on the road as he prepared to speak again.
Titus- and whats that there on your arm
Tomo- my shiled
Titus- how do you use it , it looks like a glove
Tomo- it has be modified by the mystic arts , I believe it reacts to the comands of my mind directly
Titus- so its magic is what your saying
Tomo- yes
Tomo started to notice all the people of this strang land were small animal species such as cats, dogs, otters racoons, and rats. Safron 7 was a planet inhabited by much larger and more savage species such as tigers dragons wolves and bears. Such a strange land felt unnatural to Tomo.
Titus- so what are you hoping to get out of seeing my leader
Tomo- I believe my sword will be enchanted like that of my shiled and it will alow me to return home
Titus- meaning away from here
Tomo- yes , my people need me , I became a great general so that would never live to see my life pass me by on the underbelly of city streets , but I now know I brought glory to a false king that must answer for his sins not only to my world but I Tomo Kray
Titus- well sony I dont know about all that but we're here
Titus parked infront of a police station . Before Titus could even turn the car off Tomo was entering the front door of the station.
Once inside Tomo walked to the center of the station disregarding the many cops that tried to speak to him as he walked in with much intent on his face. He summoned his voice and spoke so that all could hear.
Tomo- I am here to speak with your superior
Tomo's voice may have been strong but coming from such a small body was almost comical. It was true most of the world he was currently in were rather small and less threatening species but in that police station Tomo was an otter around dogs that could stand with wolves.
Before Tomo could speak again a female husky came from behind and placed her hand on his shoulder.
Melendez- my name is Captain Melendez , if you would follow me I can help you if you need assistance
Tomo looked up to his side at the friendly faced husky.
Tomo- you are the superior officer
Melendez- yes
Tomo- they alow a woman to hold such a dangerous position in this world
Melendez- I can assure you I am the very best at my position, now would you like to follow me to my office mr. ... whats your name
Tomo- I am Tomo Kray general of Safron 7
Melendez- yes well my office is just this way
Melendez helped Tomo to her office shuting the door behind them so no onr could hear them speak
Melendez- so Mr. Kray why dont you tell me what your cause for coming into the station is today
Melendez took a seat behind her desk and Tomo took a seat on the opposite side.
Tomo- I am looking for my sword
Melendez- your sword
Tomo- yes, it as well as my shiled which I was fortunate enough to find on my arrival in this new world were sent here ahead of me
Melendez- so you have a missing package , is that what your saying
Tomo- My sword is much more than any mear package it is my way home
Melendez- and do you have any idea where it may be or how it got separated from , what was it you said , your shiled
Tomo- no I do not
Melendez- where did you pick up your first package
Tomo -on a farm
Melendez- have you considered the possibility that your package simply hasn't arrived yet
Tomo- it must be here somewhere
Melendez- and how are you so sure
Tomo- because they were the first to go through the vortex
There was a break in the conversation as Melendez took a sip of coffee from her coffe mug.
Melendez- did you say "vortex"
Tomo- yes my sword and shiled were the first to be thrown through the virtex and then myself, I awoke in this land where I then found my shiled but I could not find my sword
Melendez- where did you say you were from Mr. Kray
Tomo- Safron 7
Melendez stood up from her seat.
Melendez- Its a slow day at the station today so I'm going to try to make sure I have this right, tell me what kind of sword are we talking about, a collectable, a painting of a sword, a toy sword
Tomo- an enchanted sword that will give me the power to return home
Melendez- home being Safron 7
Tomo - yes , you finally understand
Melendez- oh yes , I understand perfectly, can you wait here Ill be right back
Melendez left the room leaving Tomo alone . He waited for five minutes before standing from his seat, he could see through the glass wall of Melendez's office that she was speaking to a group of officers. He then noticed that Titus was in the center of the group of officers. Every few moments they would look over to Melendez's office, Tomo was sure that something was up. He left the office and the moment he stepped through that door way he was stopped by two officers. Melendez finally returned.
Tomo- what is the meaning of this
Melendez- we are holding you until we can have you looked over by a doctor
Tomo- Tomo Kray needs no doctor
Melendez- its a special doctor, you seem to believe that your from another world and that you need to find this magical sword , Im having a special doctor come to help you see how your story is most likely not real
Tomo- I believe it is time for me to go
Melendez- you are free to go but I really do suggest you stay
Tomo began to walk , he would have left without any real problems being made but just as he nearing the exit an officer placed a hand on his shoulder.
Ryan- hey buddy, i think you should listen to the captain
Tomo stoped .
Tomo- you name me a lier , call me crazy and now you wish to hold me here , this is too much to go without retribution
Ryan- what do you mean by retribution
Tomo shut his eyes and the room seemed to go silent enough to hear a pin drop. With one swift motion Tomo in the small stout otter body he now possessed punched the officer away. He flew into a desk.
Tomo- no one lays a hand in the General
Tomo began to walk once more but his steps were cut short by the officers in the room pulling their weapons.
Melendez- I was willing to let you leave, even after listening to what that old nut had to say about you , but its clear now there is something off about you and its not just your story
Tomo- you do not wish to do this
Melendez- you have just assaulted an officer in my police station, put your hands in the air and do not move
Tomo - this world seems eager to meet me in combat
Tomo put his hands in the air as he slowly turned back around. The entire police station had their guns pointed at him , there was no running. Melendez approached prepared to cuff Tomo's hands.
There were three breaths, one breath where Melendez griped Tomo's arm , one breath where Tomo griped Melendez's arm , and finally one breath in which Tomo cuffed Melendez and threw her out of the way. The station opened fire on Tomo but he was to quick as he summoned his shiled to protect himself. No bullet could break his Shield but it was clear the officers were moving to attack from the side. Tomo ran and ramed an officer to his left and used the momentum to thrust himself into the air where he made himself come down like a bomd. The ground rumbled and maybe half of the officers were taken down by falling walls and glass. Tomo used his shiled as he ran through the center of the room nocking the remainder of officers out of the way and into the walls behind them. In the midst of his fury Tomo griped Titus by the arm who was hiding behind a desk and made him come as he ran out the building.
Tomo- you betrayed me
Titus- betray you , I dont Know you
Titus tried to get free as Tomo ran down the street almost faster than a vehicle. Melendez followed them out the building just as she freed herself but it was too late , they were gone.
Tomo finally stopped runing as he made it to a street far enough away that he was sure he was no longer being followed. He sat Titus back on his feet.
Tomo- I have gotten no where
Titus- yea being crazy usually does that
Tomo- and your betrayal has only led to this worlds enforcers disbelieving my tale of how I have come to be here
Titus- Im sure you didn't need me for that
Tomo would have barked back at the old otter if not for his shield suddenly glowing bright red.
Titus- does that thing usually do that
Tomo- no , no it does not
Tomoheld his shiled out and it continued to glow for a while and then the light turned blue.
Tomo- what is the cause of this
Tomo walked in one direction and the light turned red once again. He walked in the opposite direction and it turned blue.
Tomo- perhaps it means to lead ne to my sword
Titus- goid for you , i hope you find your sword but I think its time I head home
Tomo griped Titus by the neck and made him follow as he himself followed the glowing lights of his shiled.
Titus- you dont need me
Tomo- not now but your knowledge of this world may prove useful later
They followed the directions of the lights for hours. It seemed they were chasing false hope.
Titus- we have been walk for hours, dont you think its time you give up
Tomo- I cant give up , not without sacrificing the honor of my family's memory, not without sacrificing the fate of ny world
Titus- well sony I dont Know what to tell you
Tomo- you need not concern yourself any further that which I ask of you ,and in this moment we must simply walk
They arrived at a house after trekking through the city out through the woods and finaly coming to a suburb.
Tomo- the light has lead us hear
The lights inside the house were on , there must have been a family inside.Tomo walked up to door and kicked it in.
Titus- what the hell are you doing
There was a family inside the house, a mother cat cooking in the kitchen, a father watching TV in the living room. The father tried to defend his family but Tomo knocked him out with one punch to the face. The mother coward in the corner of the kitchen calling 911 as Tomo continued to follow the lights on his shield up stairs. He came to a room at the end of the hallway upstairs. With one motion he kicked the door through and walked into the room. The lights on his shiled final went off as Tomo starred down the teenage boy who stood before him holding the sword like a toy.
Tomo- you have something that belongs to me
The boy backed away , even though he was taller and Tomo looked much weaker the feat of strength was enough to convince him not to think lightly of the otter.
Tomo- give me the sword
Parker- this thing , take it
The cat threw the sword to the ground quickly and frantically and as Tomo came closer to pick it up he cowerd even more going under his desk.
Tomo had done it , he finally found his sword. He picked it up with his right hand , the hand opposite his shiled hand. Much like his shiled he felt a serge of great power break him down as he held the sword in hand. His body was engulfed in pure energy as the flesh from his arms were ripped away. During Tomos transformation the police had arrived and charged upstairs. But it was t just any police it was Melendez.
She stood in a state of amazement as she watched the show going on the teenagers bedroom. Titus stood in the hallway just outside the room also watching.
Tomo's arms had been destroyed but it was then they were rebuilt stronger. The sword and shiled became his new arms from the top of his shoulders down to his fingers. And as the transformation was finally done Tomo stood in the middle of the now scorched wood floor before all reborn.
Melendez held her gun pointed at Tomo.
Melendez- dont move
Tomo looked into her eyes and it seemed that he flenched moving his arm just slightly. Her gun fell apart from the center, it had been cut in half.
Melendez- what ,what are you
Tomo held out his shield and crosed it with his sword as if he already knew what to do next.
Tomo- it is time to return home and right a most unforgivable wrong
Lightning crashed through the room hiting the center of where his sword and shiled met. They glowed until the light was all consuming blinding all eyes.
Melendez the teenager and Titus all gazed at the sight of Tomo . He had returned to his original form, a white Tiger, but still with arms of metal and steal. But the lighting did not end it surged through him down his body and out through his feet creating a vortex. The contents of the bedroom began to be sucked in, and then the teenaged boy , Melendez , Titus, and finally Tomo. They flew through the vortex together one by one clinging to Tomo as it was clear he knew what he was doing.
They were on there way to his world, and he was finally on his way home.
