#1 of The Calm Before The Storm

This is the first chapter in a story which I am currently working on after having a 4 year break from writing. I had forgotten how much joy and relaxation I gain from writing, and I do hope that it brings you as much enjoyment by reading it as it did for me when I was writing it.

I'll be uploading chapters fairly frequently, perhaps two this week and two the next. It won't be a long running story, with a max of 4 chapters - I'm hoping this will help me get back into writing again.

Please enjoy this and I'd welcome any constructive criticism, I'm aspiring to become a better writer and every bit of advice helps.

-Chapter One-

"..and make sure you hold onto your receipt, it'll cover your new camera for 3 months against manufacturer defects and acts as a warranty" I droned on, the same script which had been drummed into my head for the past 5 years as I handed the Rabbit in front of me her new purchase.

I work in a Camera shop, it's not exactly the most exciting job in the world but it does have its perks. I get to see all the latest photography related paraphernalia before it hits the shelves, I know right, boring? I get to basically laze around all day doing nothing, which most of you might think is awesome - but being a German Shepherd, I like to get as much exercise as I can!

But the best, the absolute most awesome perk of all, is staring out the window at the butt of a cute guy I've had my eye on for a while as he walks past, nearly every day and then fantasizing about him throughout the rest of the day.

"Thank you" the Rabbit glanced down at my name badge "-Tobias, you take care, all right?" I usually hated people calling me Tobias, but that's what my badge said, but mostly people call me Toby. I thanked the Rabbit and wished her a good day as she headed out of the door before slumping over the desk and groaning to myself. "Well that's a new record, first customer of the day at 11:30am!"

The store had been growing quieter and quieter recently and most of the day I would find myself, bored. Mostly spending my time partaking in the online sensation of taking mirror selfies in silly poses, and of course, the odd dick pic. Who can blame me? I'm quite well endowed, meaning... I've never had any complaints in the bedroom department, and I hate to brag but I've always been chubby since I was a cub, so now that I'm in shape I'm damn well gonna flaunt it!

"Maybe I'll take lunch slightly early." I mumbled quietly to myself as I grabbed the keys and flipped the sign on the back of the big wooden door to "closed" before slamming and locking it behind me.

Now back to the cute guy I was telling you about earlier - his name's Jayden, and he works in the grocery store just around the corner from where I work. I'll usually get my lunch there every day just so that I can spy on him, not in a creepy way, just, he's cute! Well - you'll see for yourselves.

The automatic doors to the store hummed open and a blast of cool air hit my face and swept my blonde headfur back as I walked through the store, it was a welcome pleasantry on a hot day like today. The weather had been so freaky recently, one minute it would be boiling hot and then all of a sudden there would be a thunderstorm with torrential rain out of nowhere!

No sooner had I walked into the store I had pretended to look at something in an aisle facing where the checkouts are, and sure enough - he was there. Jayden. His smart, light blue shirt fitting around his slim, Otter figure nicely. A darker blue necktie tied around his neck and then of course, his gorgeous, light sand coloured furred face with his whiskers smoothed back neatly against his cheeks. Smiling at the customer he was serving I watched for a moment as he mouthed some words, those little dimples appearing in his cheeks as he laughed.

Ahh, I've always had a thing for Otters, and this Otter was one heck of a cutie. He had only been working there for a few months, and we sort of; connected a little bit. At least I thought, (hoped) we did. I can never tell if he is just being nice to me as part of his job, but either way it helped cheer up my day when I saw his cheeky face smiling at me, even if it was an act.

I spent a few minutes bumbling around, picking up random pieces of salad and some pasta then throwing it in my basket, not really thinking too much about what I was buying. My mind just goes into "fantasy mode" whenever I see him, and by the time I reach the checkouts I usually have to hide the lump in my shorts with the shopping basket.

Today, this particular fantasy started with every other customer in the store leaving whilst I tore off his tight fitting uniform with my bare paws, and ended with me fucking him over the checkouts before shouting "Clean-up in Aisle 5 please!" then leaving him there like a spent little fucktoy as I strolled back to work, a smug grin plastered across my face.

That was my fantasy, and in my fantasies I'm usually an absolute beast of a top, completely dominating the bottom like a little subby bitch as they look up to me like I'm some sort of god. It's what I'm best at, I've always enjoyed being completely in control, it's in my blood!

But in reality, for some reason I always get nervous and would stumble over my words whenever I went to his checkout.

Jayden liked to make small talk about what I bought for lunch, he'd normally tease me if I strayed from my usual healthy choice of food and make a joke about how it'll go "straight to my hips!" then I'd usually say something completely moronic and make myself look like an ass, like: "Ha, well, umm, Pizza is good in moderation, bye!" In moderation... In mo-der-ation?! Ugh! I'm not sure why I say these things, but I get that lump in the throat feeling whenever I'm around him, yet I always come back for more.

'Not this time' I thought to myself, today I'm gonna keep it together, stay calm and stay cool. It's not like I haven't talked to a cute guy before!? I let out a slow exhale as I approached the checkout and placed my very healthy choice of cucumber, lettuce and tomato salad with chicken and wholegrain pasta, onto the till belt. I quickly glanced over at him and tried to act calm.

He noticed me straight away, looking up and smiling happily at me as he started scanning my items. I know it's probably his job to smile and look happy to see people but I always imagined he was doing it just for me. I liked to imagine that Otter tail of his wagging happily like an excited puppy underneath his desk as he scanned...

"Good afternoon, sir, will you be needing a bag today?" He went through the usual greeting routine that all staff have to do, and I loved it when he called me Sir. After he noticed my name badge for the first time he started to sometimes call me Tobias, probably just to annoy me, he's cheeky like that. But I let him get away with it because for a start, it's cute to hear him say it and also it's just more fuel for my lust filled fantasies where he screams out my name as I'm ploughing into him.

"No thank you, Jayden. I'm sure I'll be able to manage without a bag today." I looked him in the eyes and flashed a smile, hoping he'd respond to me saying his name.

"Oh, you're so strong! Carrying all these heavy items without a bag!" He was so cocky, but in an adorable way, the little Otter continued laughing as he scanned the last of my items. "-and what a healthy choice once again today!" Jayden continued. I wanted to say something incredibly witty, smart and impressive, or even just one of those things. But the best I could come up with was - "Well, pasta is long lasting energy and I've gotta work late tonight, sooo..."

That was my actual reply. That awful, monstrosity of a line. This is the moment to facepalm at me, I am so ridiculously bad at flirting. I'm good at the 'fucking' part, but the flirting part beforehand, not my forte.

He chuckled, clearly feeling slightly awkward about my reply and said something else, but my brain was too flustered to even concentrate on the words that were coming out of that sweet mouth of his. Finally, after a few seconds the cogs in my brain started turning again.

"Cash or card?" He said, smiling up at me with his gorgeous sea-blue eyes. I tried to hide the fact I was blushing slightly by scratching my cheek. "Uuh, Apple pay." I said as I tapped my phone against the card reader and it made a beep. Absolutely love Apple pay, by the way, just saying.

Anyway, now all I had to do was pick my items up and carry them out of there, and maybe next time I wouldn't act like such an ass. I grabbed the salad and pasta in one paw, and my drink in the other and with a nervous smile I gave him a nod and said goodbye. Before I could get a few feet away I heard him call out after me, "Hey!".

I turned around and looked back - "Try and have a good day, huh?!" the Otter continued, still with that charming smile of his plastered across his muzzle. I couldn't figure out if he knew how awkward I felt and was just trying to make me feel better, or if he was just being his usual sarcastic, cocky self. My response was "You too!" I hurried out of the store, my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

The short walk to the park where I usually sat and ate lunch was filled with me mainly cursing at myself for being so awkward. I arrived at my favourite spot to sit and eat, a bench underneath a large and very old oak tree. Sitting back to enjoy the shade, I took a moment to laugh at myself for once again acting like such a dork, and it made me feel slightly better.

Sighing deeply, I pondered over why I found it so hard to act calm around Jayden. I had never been in a long term relationship before, but I had had the occasional hookup using a dating app called Growlrr. I'd find it easy to talk to guys I met on there because there was no feeling, no intimacy, no connection. I guess the only reason I got all flustered when I saw him was because I genuinely, really liked him. No, not just because he's cute, don't get me wrong that's a bonus. But believe me, this may sound cliché but I've never felt nervous around anyone before, never felt flustered or stuttered my words before, until I met Jayden.

With a few minutes left on my lunch break I scanned through Growlrr on my cell phone, looking at some of the nude pictures I had of me in my profile. Surely an attractive Shepherd like myself should be confident all the time!? Naturally, being a good photographer I could take great shots, but they didn't really do any justice for my slender and slightly muscular form.

I pondered over one picture in particular, my favourite one of me - I was backed up against a door frame, the dusky sunlight shone through the window behind me and picked out the flecks of golden tan amongst the brown fur across my naked body. The silhouette that my figure cast across the floor accentuated the massive boner I was sporting, my right paw cupped around my heavy cream coloured balls, thumb squeezing slightly around my sizable deep red knot as I looked into the camera with a lustful look.

Others were just straight up dick pics, and just as artistic. I'd even managed to capture a cumshot in mid motion as it erupted from my hard length, catching the milky white globules in mid-flight before they were about to splatter against my chest, my six pack tensed in blissful orgasm ready to be smothered with my seed.

Yeah, you probably get it by now, I'm into photography and I like taking photos of myself naked. It was all well and good having a great body and brilliant dick pics online and all that, but all I ever really wanted to do was find someone special, someone cute and funny and settle down with them. "Someone like Jayden." I thought to myself as I finished my lunch and made my way back to the store to reopen.
