Steve was only eighteen and had just finished moving into his own apartment. He started working at sixteen and saved money from every paycheck to keep him safe financially for a good while. He had furnished everything and had it ready to go, furniture, utensils, entertainment, you name it. His parents were against the idea and thought he was way over his head, and well...he was.

He opted to not move in with anyone so it was only up to him to pay for all finances and working for only minimum wage, it wasn't a condition he could really afford to live in. However, Steve was stubborn and despite both friends and family warning him, he refused to listen. He thought that it would be easy to live on his own, and there wasn't anything to worry about.

The first month seemed fine, the second month while he cut it close was able to be managed. However, by the time the third month came away was when things went south. Steve went through a phase where he constantly left electronics on. He didn't think much of it at the time, and would come to regret it when the electric bill came. It was almost triple from what he payed and couldn't find any way to get the money. His landlord gave him five days to get the money or get out. Steve couldn't build up the courage to ask for help from the people who told him this would happen.

A bit defeated, he went to the park to try and clear his mind from everything, maybe even find some kind of solution. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, many parents taking their kids out, people walking their dogs, joggers, the usual park scene. We greeted a few patrons of the park but no conversations really led anywhere. He ended up at a wishing well of all places.

Steve eyed it for a moment, and as dumb as it may of sounded; it seemed only magic could fix his current situation. And even if he didn't help him, which was likely considering how far fetched it was, what was the harm in it? He was essentially broke anyways. Steve reached into his wallet and pulled out a quarter, rolling it with his fingers. He took a deep breath before flipping it into the well.

"I wish for an easy life. One that's filled with love."

There was a small plopping sound and Steve nodded his head and walked away. All he really ever wanted was a nice simple life and hey, if this thing is somehow magic why not have it with tons of love? He soon made his way out of the park on his route back home. Steve felt a bit silly about what happened at the park but what was done is done. It wasn't like anyone was watching.

Steve entered into his apartment and turned to lock the door, but when he turned back he saw something that he probably shouldn't see...because he wasn't in his apartment. As his back was turned it had changed completely. Gone were the un-vacuumed food on the floor, the dirty dishes in the sink, and the random clothes lying around. It was much better kept and looked fancier, complete with lots of white. One thing was for sure and that was Steve's apartment didn't look like one that someone was about to be evicted for.

Before Steve could explore the odd transformation of the apartment further, he fell over onto all fours in pain, his body about to go through its own transformation. His body was rapidly growing snow white fur all over his body, from head to toe. Steve's face began pushing out, jaw extending with it into a cute little muzzle. His nose became more circular while becoming black and wet. His eyes became much larger, becoming a pretty blue while his eyelashes multiplied to give them a feminine look. Steve's ears became triangular as they moved to the top of his head. The new fluffball's thick and fluffy coat covered most of them, just a bit of her ears actually showing.

After Steve's head was done changing, the rest of his body was next. The biggest change was a very great shrinkage. Steve's legs and arms both took on a digitigrade bone structure, and not strong enough to stand on just his hind legs, forced to a life of quadrupedalism. Not only that, both his hands and feet lost two digits and became paws, forced onto the "toes" walking on them now. Underneath paw pads formed for maximum walking comfort. Behind Steve, a big fluffy white tail formed behind him that had a mind of it's own but when focused on, could move it on his own whim. However, more often than not it was in control when it came to wagging. The last change came from between his legs, as his male parts were replaced by the canine equivalents, though belonging to a female. The physical transformation over.

However, it wasn't done yet. A pink bow formed on Steve's head, inbetween her ears that caused her mind to become fuzzy. She found it hard to remember really anything. Her financial situation, worries and woes, even anything that had transpired really during her entire life. As this happened new memories and thoughts found their way into her mind. Gone was the in over his head eighteen year old Steve, replaced with the excitable canine Gidget who just wanted love in her life. She would watch soap operas frequently to try and figure out how to get the attention of the canine that passed by her window every day.

Once everything was done, she blinked a few times, shaking her whole body knocking herself out of that trance. What was that dream? Gidget was glad it was only a dream! She didn't want to be a human, especially in "Steve's" situation. She briefly wondered why she was day-dreaming about that but it was quickly cut short when she heard dogs outside barking and talking. Max was passing by! All her worries left immediately as she rushed to her window.
