Things to know about Portumel
Gotta add a bit of detail about the world that the Gods inhabit. I'm gonna write about some of these stories when I get the time. Especially the ones about the heroes. So yeah. The worlds people.
The World of Mysteria: All Races.
Human Race
(A category of fur less beings. They were the hardest for the Gods to make as it took all of them and therefore they are very highly valued.)
Human: The most treasured of the races made by the Gods and also to last. The youngest of the Gods creations, Humans are different from the other races as they are the most malleable of them all, capable of being a powerful warrior, skilled thief and master wizard all at the same time. Almost all of the most famous warriors in the world are Humans. The greatest warrior for both the Humans and Hyreans is Freiis, a woman who has the blood of both races in her and used her power to end the hatred between the two and fought by the side of the God of War. She is the greatest female fighter in the world.
Hyrean: A second to last creation of creatures that preceded the Humans. They believe themselves better than Humans and see Humans as imperfect clones and therefore are weak. They have interesting markings on their bodies, truly making them stand out amongst humans. It is because of these markings that they believed themselves better as they believe it is the mark of the Gods. They are a very proud and arrogant race.
Cavaldi: People who live in the cold regions of the northern mountains. They revel in the idea of hunting and love the cold. While they can survive in the heat, it is very uncomfortable for them as they were not built for it. They were made from the merging of Cloud, Snow and Ice so things like the sun and heat are not too good for them. They worship the Goddess of the Moon Saula as they believe she made them. Their greatest warrior was Tyrus, the only known mortal who captured a Vaudi and managed to make it a pet companion. He is the only mortal known to actually overpower one of the Vaudi.
Argemites: Creatures who spend their time in caves and hidden in the dark, surrounded and even made out of precious stone and metal. Not much is known or spoken of them but It is said that the first Argemite was the son of the Earth, named Bor. The Argemites are the greatest blacksmiths in Portumel and they are completely immune to fire.
Feraci Race
(A race of Humanoid animals made by Jama, Goddess of forest life.)
Jerrik: Named after the first Man of their kind, Jerrik, they are A race of humanoid Jackals that respect the dead heavily and are the richest of all the races. They are respected by most but feared by them as well as they have a lot of power and can get more with the money they have. They love, worship and respect the Goddess Nefaria. Their greatest warrior is Symdas, the prince who went to the darkest parts of the Underground and defeated the mighty Dragon Noxous.
Aeros: A race of humanoid Avians that inhabit mountains and are a constantly migrating race. They are not the strongest but are some of the swiftest beings in Portumel as well as the best archers due to their amazing sight. Their greatest warrior was Thuus, A thief turned hero who saved the God of the Sun from the clutches of the Vaudi.
Kron: A race of humanoid Lions who are incredibly strong and very proud. They believe in Men being the zenith of everything great in the world while Women without a Mans aid are chaotic and bring disorder. They have wonderful golden or bronze pelts and strive for absolute physical strength. Their greatest warrior is Moras, a Man who was strong enough to literally hold the world when the great Pillar broke.
Redstone: Draconic like creatures with one King known as Dracul. They are primarily called Redstones because the majority of Dragons have red scales. Few do not but there are some with other colors like blue, green or black. The Dragon Noxous, who watches the Underground, was originally King of that race but was ambushed and had the throne taken from him. Left to die, he was found by the Goddess of the Underground Nefaria who saved him and as thanks he became her servant and did her bidding.
The Weslanders: A race of primitive Fareci who worship the Gods of Agriculture, Forest life, Nature, Magic and Healing. These people are different as they are a hybrid of multiple creatures. Some of which are even Vaudi. They aren't a violent race but can certainly defend themselves. They practice more on Magic and ancient curses and voodoo. Their greatest warrior is Weichan who used the ancient and powerful spells of The Fallen to fight off the legendary being of Death itself and prevent the genocide of his people.
Unknown Race
(As the name implies, these beings are not Human nor Fareci. They are without a true description as they constantly change their forms to what ever suits them.
Vaudi: A race of powerful ancient beings who were created by the original Creator of everything, Vaud, whose name meant "Void". Their name means "Vaud's kin" and they were made after the new Gods though they inherited creation first. They were over thrown by the New Gods and tossed to the Underground however some escaped and eventually mated and had children, making the count of Vaudi rise even more. They are the monsters of the world and constantly cause trouble for the Mortals and the Gods. Legends say that one day they will rise from the caves of the Earth and kill the New Gods, taking their place amongst the heavens.
The New Gods: The high and mighty rulers of the land of Portumel ruled over by the Goddess of the Sky and Lightning Zara. The Gods took their power by stealing it from their parents who foolishly fought each other and died, leaving the world in the care of their terrible children. The New Gods are proud and violent and prone to war but some are more caring then others.
The Fallen: They say that the Fallen are escaped dead souls. They also say that The Fallen were old Gods who gave up their immortality to help guide the Mortals. They say The Fallen are children of Vaud itself. No one truly knows who they are or where they come from but all that's is known is that they are the strongest magical being in the world. They are ageless and can only die from magical means.
Land Of Portumel:Names of the Days
Moras: Monday. Color:Red. Named after the legendary Kron who was strong enough to literally hold the world when the great Pillar broke.
Tyrus: Tuesday. Color:Blue. Origin: Named after the only known mortal who captured a Vaudi and managed to make it a pet companion. He is the only mortal known to actually defeat one of the Vaudi.
Weichan:Wednesday. Color:Grey. Origin: Named after the fortune teller who traveled the world and learned the forbidden spells of The Fallen to fight off the legendary being of Death itself and prevent the genocide of his people.
Thuus:Thursday. Color:Purple. Origin: Named after the famed archer who went from thief to hero after rescuing the God of the Sun from the clutches of the Vaudi.
Freiis:Friday. Color:Green. Origin: Named after the woman who had the blood of both Human and Hyrean races in her and used her power to end the hatred between the two and fought by the side of the God of War. She is the greatest female fighter in the world.
Symdus:Saturday. Color:Gold. Origin: Named after the prince who went to the darkest parts of the Underground and defeated the mighty Dragon Noxous. He is the only mortal known to actually travel to the Underground and make it out alive.
Sol:Sunday. Color:White. Origin: The only day of the week not named after a warrior but rather the original ruler of the Gods, Sol. The mother of Solaris, she was the greatest ruler that the immortals knew being incredibly fair and honest and the first being to come into creation. When she died in the Second Great War, she exploded in a magnificent ray of light and beauty that Vaud itself cried. The seventh day of the week is named after her in honor of her greatness and no one dares speak ill of her.
