Tate was the owner of a record shop that had recently started picking up business after a few years of being down. The reinvigoration of Vinyl had greatly improved traffic and sales, along with the usual CD and DVD/Blu Ray fare. Business stayed rather booming since then, and he had remained in a rather stable financial situation. Considering how long he's been in the neighborhood, he was relieved to find out he could remain there. Tate prepared to open for another day as he thought about some recent happenings.

Being in the same building for so long he saw a lot of businesses come and go. The longest one was a coffee shop, but the rise of Starbucks made that go not long afterwards. There had been a flower store, a lawyer's office, insurance agent, a perfume shop, a cell phone carrier store, and now...well now he wasn't quite sure.

The new tenant had been there for a decent while now, so the owner seemed to know what they were doing. The two have never met or crossed paths (as far as Tate knew anyways) so the tenant's identity had always been a mystery. Was it a man or woman? Anthro like himself or a human? It always smelled pretty good, and the aroma coming from it usually found it's way into his store. Luckily it was a pleasant smell, so patrons of the record shop (and even Tate himself) didn't mind it at all.

Tate, while opening noticed that the shop was already emitting it's smell, oddly earlier then usual. He was going to ignore it originally, but his curiosity got the better of him and decided to finally introduce himself to the owner of the shop he was neighbors with for quite some time. He looked through the window and noticed no one inside. Was it even open? He pushed the door and it did open, so it had to of been. He walked inside and couldn't spot anyone, from the employees to any customer.

Tate looked around and saw a bunch of various colored liquids in beakers and bottles lying around. What was it exactly? Some kind of smoothie? Juice maybe? He looked around to see if anyone popped out and since no one did, he opened the cap and smelled it. Tate heard footsteps coming from the other room and quickly put the cap back on and the bottle back on the shelf. For a brief moment he thought that he should show himself out in case the shop was really still closed. He shook the thought away and decided it would be better to ask whoever was there what exactly this place was. Tate walked around, his hooves clacking on the wooden floor and finally spoke.

"Hello?"

"Just a moment!" a woman's voice called out to him. "Just...gotta...put the thingy in the other thingy...and wait. No, that's not supposed to go in the other thingy it goes in the third thingy."

"Uh...okay..." Tate said scratching the back of his head. "Did you need help with...whatever you're doing back there?"

"No no no, I got it! And by got it I mean I'm about 90 percent sure I broke it. Ah well." she said as from the back emerged a pink weasel woman, who looked over Tate. "That'a s first. Never had a bull before. Or any animal actually. They're always human."

"Guess I'm the first one then?" he laughed a bit. "Going to take my picture?"

"Nah, I have a photographic memory, I just don't know where to store them so they usually end up getting lost." the woman replied.

"Alright then." Tate said back with a laugh. "My name's Tate." he said holding out his hand.

The weasel woman examined his hand as if she was a palm reader. "My name's Patricia, I dunno why I did that to be honest." she giggled before officially shaking his hand.

"Okay..." Tate said with a small smile, the woman was a character that's for sure.

"Anyways, what brings you here? Liked my smell? Thought this was a spa? A new age yogurt shop?"

"Actually I thought this was some kind of smoothie or juice shop." Tate responded with a chuckle. "Is that not what it is?"

"No, it's a potion shop. I sell potions of the tranformative nature!"

"Right then, I own the record store right next to you. Been there for years."

"I've never heard of it. I don't get out much." Patricia said with a shrug. "Put congrats on the records! I'm sure the accomplishments are good ones!"

"No no no, like music records." Tate responded with a laugh. "Anyways, how about I try one of these potions? How much do they cost."

"They range from $10-$50, each time duration $10 more, time durations being an hour, a day, a week, a month, and finally permanent."

Tate's mind didn't really keep up with everything and since this was a small business he wanted to help in the best way possible. "Give me the $50 one." he said taking a $50 bill out of his wallet and handed it to her.

"Thank you." she said taking the $50 and tucking it into a pocket on her apron. She also pulled out a folded paper from the same pocket. "You just have to sign the waivers, saying that you knew it was permanent and willingly accepted the potion. Really just to avoid annoying legal stuff down the road. Bleh. Legal stuff. I hate lawyers, they think they're so fancy with their suits and pant suits and suit suits."

"Alright then." he said taking the pen Patricia had given him and sign the appropriate spots, still not quite realizing what he was about to go through. "And done!"

"Thank you." Patricia said grabbing the paper, tucking it away in her bra. "I'll be right back with the potion!" she said with a smiling, going behind the curtain labeled "employee's only." Tate was a bit taken back by the weasel's behavior. She certainly was a character, that's for sure. Oddly energetic but also somewhat unprofessional. Before he could continue his thoughts, Patricia emerged with a cup with the potion in it.

"I just realized a completely forgot what you wanted to be, I just went on autopilot. What did you want to be? I can just re-make it. Everything is getting re-made nowadays anyways."

"No, I insist of drinking what you made. If it was your first instinct it's got to be good!" and with that Tate took the drink and found himself chugging the whole thing down. He gave it an approving nod. "Pretty solid! That's tasty!" he said with a smile, however his smile turned more into a more concerned look as his body started to tingle all over.

Tate's green fur darkened until it was black with brown fur on his arms legs, chest, and belly. His horns retreated into his belly while his beard and hair shrunk back into his body, leaving only fur behind. His ears moved from the side of his head to the top as they became pointed and triangular. His head shrank vastly in size along with the rest of his body, becoming much more dainty and feminine than before. His pink nose became smaller and black and wet while his face formed into a much more canine muzzle.

His shoulders became narrow while his arms were slenderized, his black nails turning into canine dulled claws. His figure contorted itself into an hourglass shape, his hips flared out, back in an arch, and waist caved inward. Tate's legs became thin and shapely while his hooves became padded paws and took on a digitigrade posture. He looked down and saw two mounds forming on his chest, forming a set of breasts while his manhood faded away. Tate's tail became much shorter, more like a small nub and became the same brown as her fur, now a full Doberman anthro.

Tate looked down at her body in awe, feeling it with a smile on her face. She had to admit, despite the sudden sex change this body felt quite nice! "Thank you! I don't know how you did something like this but it's amazing!"

"I try, well not try I do. Well, I do try so I guess I do try." Patricia responded with a wave of her hand.

Tate looked down at her watch and noticed she was supposed to open 10 minutes ago. "Oh dang! I'm late! I gotta go open my shop, but once I close I'll stop on by to get to know you better, I love to know my neighbors!"

"If that's what you want to do, the door's always open." she paused for a moment. "I should probably lock it up when I close."

"Either way, I'll be back later Patricia!"
