'This must be where Ming fought the warrior of darkness.'

The wolf with the blue bang stood outside the Modern Quester, holding a long case in his paw and wearing black dress pants and a black suit jacket with a white shirt underneath, the top few buttons left undone. Like Ming before him, he could hear the sounds of exertion and the hitting of weapon on weapon. Unlike Ming, however, he was completely fine about it.

He waltzed right in, seeing the warrior of darkness sitting behind the desk, chatting with a red fox kit. The warrior looked his way, curious. He stood up and yelled something into the main training area. The wolf just stood there, just off to the side of the door. Another red fox came out, his fur matted with sweat and about the same height and build of the wolf.

This red fox came up to the lupine. "And you are?" The fox questioned.

"A friend of a certain panda you know." The wolf replied.

The red fox's face suddenly scrunched up. The wolf just stared back, not smirking or anything else.

"Why? To test my son once more?"

"Exactly. And unlike her, your son will know of how to fight someone like me."

"Look, my son is a bit rusty for not training in two weeks."

"His anger got the better of him, I presume."

"How did you know?"

"Our mutual friend picked that up off of him. And we will have to fight with one weapon each."

The red fox groaned and shook his head while the wolf just kept looking at him.

"And yours is....?" The red fox begun to ask.

"Inside this case here." The wolf answered, lifting up the case in his paw.

The red fox turned, looking at the warrior of darkness quickly darting his eyes away from them. The older red fox motioned with his head for the black fox to come over, and so he did.

"Braedon, grab one of your weapons this time. Use this key to fetch 'em." The red fox ordered, handing a lone key into the paw of the darkness-warrior.

The black fox nodded and dashed off, leaving the two elders there. He came back with the key and a shortsword, handing the key back the elder red fox.

"If there's an empty sparring room, take it. If there isn't, fight out in the open. I'm sure that the rest would seriously enjoy the spectacle." The red fox told the black fox.

The wolf and black fox walked off, in search for an empty sparring room. They couldn't find one, so they opted for out in the open rather than shove some anthros out for their own benefit. Braedon held the shortsword in his right hand, ready for anything.

"Weaker paw only." The wolf announced.

"What?" Braedon asked, partially lowering his guard in shock.

The wolf placed his case down and knelt before it. He unlatched the buckles that held it shut and opened it, revealing a shortened rapier inside.

"Usually, I fight with my left paw. However, to make this interesting, let's fight with our non-dominant paw." The wolf explained.

Braedon lowered his guard completely, his face questioning. "But, I'm ambidextrous."

The wolf stopped mid-grab. He sighed, his bang moving away from his eye.

"Which is your favoured paw?"

"My right, barely."

"Then use your left." The wolf then grabbed the hilt of the rapier and carefully lifted it out of the case. He then unceremoniously kicked the case out of the way.

Both pointed the tips of their weapons at the other, getting ready for the match. A few of the anthros looked towards them, wanting to watch the start of the fight. Both combatants began to circle, eyeing each other down and sizing up the other. The spectators were getting anxious, shifting slightly in anticipation.

The wolf then leapt forwards, stabbing forth with the tip. Braedon, although slower than he would've liked, was still quick enough to deflect the rapier's blunted tip away. He slid the blade up along the weapon, slicing towards the wolf's head. The lupine simply leant back, seeing his reflection in the slightly dusty metal.

When the blade was out of the way, the wolf straightened and sliced across with the tip. The black fox jumped backwards, bending his chest and stomach in so that the tip was out of the way. They went back to their blade tips barely brushing each other. This trading and dodging of blows went on for minutes, enough to get a large crowd of other anthros to gather around them.

The wolf peered through the crowd quickly and saw the elder red fox leaning against the wall, watching the fight. He was mumbling something to himself. Unfortunately, the wolf wasn't paying too much attention to the warrior of darkness, and so he felt his feet taken out from underneath him. He felt his rapier being kicked away and a shortsword edge to come close to his throat.

He could smell the terrible stench of sweat.

"I think I win." The black fox stated.

"Yes, you do." The wolf affirmed.

He threw the fox off and stood, brushing off anything that might've gotten onto his suit. The gathered anthros were now silent, waiting for something else to happen. The wolf extended his paw in greeting.

"My name is Destin Yael, a friend of the panda you fought a few weeks ago." The wolf said.

The fox extended his paw, breathing heavily and sweat matting his fur. "Braedon Reischer." The fox replied, breathing out his reply.

They shook paws and the anthros that gathered around cheered, knowing that Braedon had won the fight.

Destin retrieved his shortened rapier, placed it back into his case, and buckled it back up.

"May we meet again, Braedon. And more tests will come." Destin announced, picking up his case.

When he was told to sign the guest ledger, he put down the one thing he always writes.

Destin Y.

With Light:

He was walking through the streets, his sniper rifle case in his paw. Light was on his way to yet another rifle kill. However, he felt sights on his back.

He felt that something was going to happen. And he trusts his instincts enough.

He heard nothing, but a bullet did whizz past his head and collided with the brick beside him, spraying brick debris past him. Light immediately ducked behind the alleyway he was closest to and knelt down. He began to breathe calmly to ease his racing heart. He peeked out from behind the brick, ducking back when another bullet hit the bricks.

He spied down the alley, seeing a door that lead into the tall building. He ran to it, kicked it through, and proceeded to run up the stairs and burst out onto the roof. He immediately ducked into cover, seeing as how whoever was shooting at him wanted him either dead or grievously injured.

He never heard another gunshot after he left the ground.

He suddenly felt yet another presence behind him. He turned, seeing a figure standing there on the same roof he was on. He analysed that it was a bird anthro, he just couldn't tell which species of bird.

Light slowly placed his paws into his hoodie pockets and clasped his paws around the brass knuckles he always keeps in there. He slowly withdrew them, the brass glinting slightly in the sunlight.

Both Light and the figure rushed at each other. Both used common street brawling techniques. Clearly seen punches, rough kicks and underhanded uses of their opponents arms to either throw them away or make them hit themselves.

However, Light couldn't shake the feeling that he has seen this unique type of street fighting before. Only ever used by one other member of the group of assassins he is with.

Light managed to get a good punch into the figure's guts, making them keel over. Using the distraction, Light grabbed the hood and pulled it off, revealing a very familiar eagle.

"Loki." Light growled out.

The eagle lifted his head up and did his best to smile. "Hey, Light. How've you been?" He said, acting as if it never happened.

"That was stupid of you to do all of that, Loki. I could've killed you."

"I was told by the boss to do it. The beginning of another initiation for you."

"An initiation for what, exactly?"

Loki shrugged. "Don't know. Wasn't told. Don't particularly care at the moment."

"Then how were you able to get over here without a sound?"

"I don't know. And I don't think that the readers will know, either."

"Readers?"

"Oh, right. You don't know about the readers. Anyways, I was only over there," Loki pointed to where a lone sniper rifle sits, "and then, one second later, I am over here. And like I said, I doubt that the readers will know how I got over here, either."

"Save your shenanigans for your imaginary friends, Loki. I have a kill to complete."

"Fine, then. See ya next time." Loki said, walking down the stairs that Light took to get up there.

Said albino shook his head. "Crazy eagle." He mumbled, walking back down the stairs to ground level.
