Pt. 6 Grand Entrance

After entering the double doors Curragh wished to leave the company of the foxes. They were in a nice lobby area. A bar was to the side and couches and chairs were about for werebeast to lounge in. Direct across the entrance were three doors. A large pair of double doors sat at the top of some stairs. Two doors flanked the central door at ground level. All were entrances to the main part of the club. Music was playing loudly and Curragh couldn't help but bob to the beat.

"Oh please just stay with us for a few more minutes Curragh." Caroline pleaded, "At least for us to make an entrance."

"It will be fun!" Lisa assured.

"An entrance?" Curragh asked, "Must be something new. What ever happened to just walking in?"

Caroline answered, "Reputation is important here Curragh. My sister and I always have always used the central door and made a grand entrance. People love it! And we get respect for it to. We are the alpha females of this joint!" she laughed at the end, "It's all for fun really, and there are a few other perks too. Like free drinks!"

"Plus." Lisa said caressing the wolfs chest, "Males never make a grand entrance. Cade is the alpha here and no one dares challenge him. You will be the first in years to do such a thing. You will certainly get his attention that way. Since that is who you are here to meet."

Curragh growled to himself a paced about the room. Occasionally looking at the two foxes who really wanted him to join in the fun.

"So Caroline. Let me guess. For you two to stroll in with the white wolf. That would increase the rep you have with this place won't it?"

"Precisely and what better way for a former patron to came back. A grand entrance! I'm sure you'll be remembered Curragh. Being the clubs only white furred attendee. Plus, you and Kiara would sing the best together. People remember it well. Come on. It'll be fun" Caroline said.

The wolf rubbed his temples, "Ok I'll do it."

"Great!" Caroline yipped, "Lisa go make the final preparations. We are walking in with the White Wolf!"

Caroline bought some drinks as Lisa made the preparations. Plenty of other werebeast went in and out the club. Curragh took the beverage hoping it will loosen his nerves. Caroline talking about past entrances. He sighed not believing what he was about to do. Curragh did notice that all males took the regular side doors into the club. Not really listening to what Caroline was saying. Until Lisa returned. She gave Curragh the cutest look she could muster. And it was working.

"Curragh would you be willing to sing?" she asked.

"Like by myself or with someone?"

"You would be by yourself. The club is getting excited. Word has spread the white wolf has returned. The people have their expectations of you." Lisa replied, "You don't want to ruin their expectations do you? It's been so long since you last sang here. It would be great if you did. Also Cade would be certain to notice."

His ears dropped and he downed the rest of his drink, "I don't know. It's been a while since I did some serious singing like this."

Caroline laughed, "Serious? Hun this is just all for fun. You finished your drink, loosened up, and now you're ready to have some fun. Come on." She playfully shook his paw, "This is the last thing we'll ask of you."

"Alright I'll do it. What will I be singing?"

"Oh. It's a good one. Everyone will be up and dancing as you sing. The song will be Uptown Funk. You know that song? Say what you want about humans, but make some great music."

The wolf smiled. His ears perked up. That one was one of his new favorite songs. He was relieved it was a song he knew as well.

"I am familiar with the song. I know the words." He replied downplaying his excitement, "What's the plan of action Lisa?"

"Ok, so first the songs going to start playing. The announcer will introduce us and we walk in. Once we walk in there will be a mic set up and the top of the stairs we will walk down. When the first line of the song is ready to be sung you pick up the mic, bless our ears with your voice, and we walk down the stairs to the mist of the club, dance, and have fun!"

"Alright I believe I can do this. After that I'm free to meet Cade right? No more cute fox favors?" He smiled.

Both giggled again holding their tails, "Yes you will be free to leave us."

"Alright let's do this!"

A few minutes later the three were lined up at the central door. A grand entrance was to be made. Curragh couldn't help but feel excited. His heart pounded in his chest. He normally didn't like attention, but he was glad the foxes talked him into doing this. Especially if it got him an audience with Cade.

The funky beginning of Uptown Funk began to play. Curragh already moving his head to the beat. Mouthing the words of the song. Caroline whispering to the wolf a final set of instructions. They heard the jazzy voice of the announcer.

"Ladies and gentlebeast of the club! Direct yourself to the central entrance because we are in for a treat tonight! I and happy to introduce our reigning alpha females. Caroline and Lisa!"

The two walked in dancing to the intro of the song to an applause.

"Now out your paws together for the one and only white wolf of Youngens. Currrrrrragh!"

The white wolf flipped between the foxes and snatched the mic on cue. He began to sing. A roar of applause, howls, and bellows erupted from the clubbers as Curragh entered and sang. He took his time down the stairs singing and dancing with the foxes to either side of him. Each step lit a different color as they were stepped on. A multi-colored spot light focused him. Changing the werebest different colors as they made their way to the crowed. At the foot of the stairs the three stopped. Because the line of the song was 'Stop wait a minute'.

The club room was a large atrium. The werebeast partied past a bar and food place to the right. Many their drinking and cheering Curragh on. On the left want was a large game room separate from the club area. Dozens of werebeast were in there playing various video and board games. But a few did notice the white wolf. They went up a center walkway to the dance floor.

A DJ was up on stage below as large viewing screen. That was currently focused on the singing white wolf and his fox company.

Curragh was having a blast. He and the foxes merged into the dancing crowd of werebeast. All parted giving the white wolf and his foxes plenty of room and dance and sing around. Curragh caught eye of the blue wolf Cade. He stood motionless on a third floor balcony that overlooked the dance floor. His arms crossed and ears flat against his head. Knowing he was being challenged. Curragh continued to dance and sing until the song finally ended. He was well received and the crowd loved him.

The DJ played on different music. Keeping up the surge of energy the white wolf had created. Curragh remained on the dance floor for a while more having a good time with the foxes. He decided to grab a drink and headed to the restaurant bar on one side of the club. The foxes followed him. He had to admit the club had changed a bit. He sat down at a table an asked a server for water. The foxes ordered other alcoholic drinks. It was not long being they were served.

"We are certain to be remembered for that one! That was amazing!" Caroline shouted She was panting a bit.

Lisa went on, "I know! Curragh your voice is as beautiful as it's always been. We will always be alpha females here now because of you. Also did you see Cade on the third floor?"

"Ohh I did! He's still up there too." Caroline said pointing to the blue wolf, "He finally has a worthy challenger! He looks ticked off."

"Well thank you for all of this Caroline and Lisa. I better be off to see Cade. Since it appears I got his attention."

"No thank you Curragh. This was fun! Told you it would be fun! We won't forget this moment. And please don't forget us. You will have our support and loyalty no matter what the outcome of your mission to the Great Chief is. Good luck with Cade." Both foxes gave Curragh a kiss and headed back into the dancing crowd before he could question them.

He looked up to Cade and gave the blue wolf a nod. He left balcony and went in a room attached to it. Curragh made his way through the club. Walking past an indoor pool. He went up a few flights of stairs to the third floor. He thought about what Caroline had said. He wasn't surprised they knew of his mission the Great Chief wanted of him, being Tyler Landy's daughters, but was confused on their words to him.

"Why would they give their support and loyalty to me? I've never met the two before."

Curragh enter the third floor. It was a large room filled with pool tables. Werebeast at each once. And a single blue furred wolf at a table closest to the balcony. The pool table appeared to be made of glass. Curragh couldn't see the wolf in detail because of the lights in the club shinning in from the balcony windows. On the wall he did see a large crest he knew quite well.

It was the crest of the Great Chiefs family. The crest was a variant of the Great Chiefs. Meaning it belonged to a sibling of the Chief. This one belonged to the Chiefs younger brother. Curragh knew Chiefs brother was not present in the club. As well most of his brothers offspring were grown and had no reason to be at Youngens. Except for one. Curragh concluded the blue wolf Cade was Cade Avalon, youngest nephew to the Great Chief himself.

"Great more politics." Curragh growled to himself, "How is the nephew of the Great Chief going to help me?"

Curragh walked toward the blue wolf. Getting looks and stares as he past the other werebeast playing pool. Cade was, for now, focused on the game he was playing. He didn't acknowledge Curragh when the white wolf stood across the pool table from him. Curragh didn't speak. His thoughts going back to the last time they were together. He couldn't tell if Cade was mad or not. He made sure to stay on the opposite side of the table from the blue wolf.

Cade wore a vest that left his strong arms exposed to see and a pair of jeans. His eyes were golden that went well to Curragh's silver. On his chest the fur was lighter than his deep ocean blue fur. It was a waterfall mist white on color. His body was neatly separated in blue and white fur even his tail. Cade on his right shoulder wore a tribal tattoo that was the emblem of the Kingdom of Wolvos.

"I need to talk with you." Curragh said breaking the silence.

Cade growled as he hit the ball in the wrong direction. He stood up tall. Eye to eye with the white wolf.

"I want everyone out of this room right now!" he snarled slamming a paw on the table.

As ordered the other werebeast stopped what they were doing and scrambled out of the room. Leaving only Curragh and Cade.

Cade placed the stick on the table. He approached the white wolf and gazed into his eyes. Cade pulled Curragh into a hug and locked his muzzle with the white wolf. Kissing him.
