"Self-sufficiency." Curragh mumbled to himself. He walked down a busy street toward the monorail terminal. Since its beginning thousands of years ago the city has always been a self-sufficient city. The initial reason was for in times of siege the city would be able to hold out for many years if necessary. A theme that as it grew stuck with it.

Everything the city needed it provided itself. Food, water, power, utilities, roads, waste disposal, health care, you name it the city took care of it. No help from the outside human world. The city was able to achieve this because of werebeast. The werebeast, over the centuries, often turned humans who had power, wealth, influence, knowledge, and great minds. And pooled these people together to create advance technologies over the years and have built advance capital cities for their people. Despite being a large city on two mountains, it was completely undetectable by any human means or technology.

Curragh couldn't help but marvel at the city. Even the Great Chiefs palace that rested at the top of the mountain. Wide stone roads that rarely needed maintained, a fast and efficient electric monorail system, electric cars and charging stations littered the city. Buildings with their own charm. Some stone and very old to the newer more modern structures that graced the city's skyline. The Canine werebeast city had its own natural look and feel contrary to the werebeast feline city which had a very modern feel. It was refreshing to live here and breath the clean air, unlike in human cities.

Many shops and markets were open. All with neon and LED signs advertising their goods. He walked past many taverns and inns. Hearing the chatting and laughter of werebeast inside. Everyone had their taste in places to drink and be merry. Curragh was always noticed wherever he went. His white fur gave him away. Not only that, but white furred werebeast were quite rare. Curragh being young, handsome, and having the true Moon Stone; all this together brought him much unwanted attention. He didn't like all of it. She-wolfs always gave him playful smiles and flirts when he went out without Kiara. Even some male canines as well. However, much more reserved about their actions.

Curragh climbed up the steps of the terminal. He needed to ride to the other side of the city where the night club was. He stood at the terminal arms crossed waiting for the train. The wolf was a few minutes early. The trains were very prompt and always ran on schedule. Another thing he loved about living in the capital city. His dad had a saying, "If you're early you're on time and if you're on time you're late." He looked around the clean terminal. Painted in the canine werebeast colors of blue, grey, and white. He heard two she-foxes giggling behind him, and whispering rather loudly. He stretched, turning to see the foxes. Both playfully adverted their eyes as he looked. Curragh could tell they were interested. He turned back around. He didn't like the attention but when approached he was always polite. A southern trait he grew up with.

The giggling continued and one of the foxes approached the larger wolf.

"Excuse me. Your name is Curragh right. The white wolf?" The foxed shyly asked.

The white wolf turned, quickly assessing the fox. She was small and had long hair dyed a hot pink. Thin physique and a large tail. Her fur the red of the setting sun with milk white on her body and tip of tail. A cute fox Curragh had the admit. He smirked at the fox showing just enough white teeth. She took a shy step back.

"That is correct my vulpine friend." He slightly bowed taking the foxes paw and giving it a light kiss, "I am Curragh, to whom do I have the pleasure of speaking to this fine evening."

The foxes face went hot. Her tail wagging bit. She took it in her paws trying to hide herself, "My...name is Caroline. You're so polite."

"I must be polite when speaking to a pretty young fox like yourself lady Caroline. It would be improper to treat you any other way. Now I may I help you." Curragh replied. He heard the monorail approaching in the distance.

"My friend over there..."

"Hey this is all you!" the other fox yelled from the bench.

"Well we were heading to the night club Youngens. I heard you use the frequent the place. We don't quite know how many stations down the line the club is. Could you perhaps guide us there?" The fox asked. Her voice barely louder than a squeak.

"Why of course. More than happy to. I'm heading there now actually. In fact, here comes our train now." Curragh replied. The fox's ears perked up. Pleased with the answer. He motioned for the other fox come over.

The blue and grey monorail pulled into the station. It was sleek looking train that reminded Curragh of the ones in Disney World. It silently came to a halt and the doors opened with a ding. Werebeast of all sorts exited the train. Some carrying bags, others on cell phones, and a few hand in hand. Once clear Curragh locked arms with both foxes, the two murred, and lead them onto the monorail. Caroline placing her paw close to the wolfs tail and butt. Both giggling the whole time. He sat both down as he stood holding onto the rail.

The doors closed and the train smoothly left. Curragh saw a wolf attempt to chase the train down. He stomped his foot paw in frustration. Arriving just a bit too late. The two foxes couldn't keep their eyes off the white wolf and continued to giggle to each other. To Curragh's annoyance. Kiara fitted the wolf with a shirt just tight enough to show his physic.

"So how far down the line do we go?" Caroline asked.

Curragh pointed to the map on the trains upper wall, "We just left Terminal West. Near the western gate of the city. We need ride to the other side of the city to Terminal East. We will pass through Terminal North." He steadied himself as the train picked up speed.

Caroline stood next to the white wolf. Her tail brushing against his leg. She pointed to the map counting, "So it looks from here to there is five stops."

"That's right. We should be there in...I'd say twenty minutes' tops. Once we leave the terminal I will show you to the night club. It's not far at all."

"Wonderful!" she laughed rather loudly.

Over the ride the werebeast exchanged small conversation. The other fox was named Lisa and the two were sisters. Curragh was glad he was polite. The two were born to a rather powerful family of foxes. Their father was Tyler Landy, the Great Chiefs diplomatic advisor, who Curragh met the day before. They were out against their parents' wishes. They did not care and wanted to enjoy the cities night life. Others entered and exited the train at each stop. Even s few in human form which all didn't understand. The city was a safe place for werebeast to be in beast form yet many still clung to their humanity.

Curragh always getting looks of attention. Once even asking to take a picture with a weretiger visiting the city. Word of him seemed to have traveled all the way to Camerix, empire of the felines. He didn't understand why people payed him so much attention. There wasn't anything special about him he believed. Other than having the Moon Stone. He had done a few things of note in the past decade as a werebeast, but all were either of accident or happenstance and ended with the death of many. Curragh wished to stay out of the public eye and just live as he wanted. His biggest wish was to not get entangled in the web of werebeast politics. That too was becoming hard, especially with the mission the Great Chief and Camerix Emperor wanted him to complete. He hoped the wolf he was about to meet would help him and advise him.

The monorail pulled into Terminal East. The doors opened; the wolf and foxes stepped out of the train. They took an escalator down to the ground floor and began the walk to Youngens. Wide sidewalks lined the stone streets. Both always talking and never leaving the white wolfs side. Curragh answered their questions about the club, the city's history, and even the Great Chief. Even though his information on the club was a bit dated. As they walked noticed the foxes were leading more than he was. He would be happy when he left their company. The low thumb of upbeat music was heard. The club was close.

Five blocks from the terminal the werebeast took a left, and crossed over a narrow bridge. A small creek that flowed through a nice public park they crossed. The foxes held Curragh at bay and gazed over the rails of the bridge to the reflections in the water. The moon hanging in the backdrop.

"Isn't this wonderful Curragh?" Caroline chuckled. She was always in groping distance of the white wolf.

"I suppose. I would like to move on however. The place is just across this park. I need to meet someone there." He replied. He continued to walk on. The two foxes quickly catching up to him and locking arms.

"Will you look at that line!" Curragh gasped approaching the building, "We'll never get in."

"Don't worry wolfie we'll take care of this." Caroline chuckled.

A bright blue neon LED sign flashed Youngens on the face of the building. It was three story structure and made of stone. Four tall windows lined the front where lights from the inside danced around the glass. It sat in the middle of a small field across from the park. At each corner was a stone tower. Now used as places to drink and party instead of defense. The foxes strolled with Curragh to the direct front of the club. To many werebeast dismay.

"Hey we and our white furred friend wanted to get end." Caroline spoke to the bouncer.

The large brown werebear wore black jeans, a shirt that formed to is muscled body and a blazer over that. His big arms were crossed. He looked down at the two foxes and to Curragh. He let out a bellow of a laugh.

"Curragh! It's been a while!" He gave the wolf a great hug, "And I see you have fine company. Strolling up in here with not one but two foxes! You thirsty wolf. Two of our most noted patrons too! What brings you back to Youngens?" the bear asked.

The wolf sighed, "Well Ian. I found these two at the terminal and they tagged along. Most noted patrons? I'm here to find and meet someone. A blue and white furred fella, a wolf. Likes to hang out on the third floor and shoot pool I hear."

"You mean Cade!" both foxes gasped, "No one gets to see Cade unrequested."

"Ha!" Ian laughed, "Another wolf played by a few foxes. You gotta which them foxes Curragh. Anyway I won't hold ya'll long. You three head right on in. Maybe we'll get to hear that legendary singing voice of yours Curragh. Ya'll have a good night. The wolf you're looking for is Cade. He'll be happy to see ya. Boy hasn't been the same since you were last here. I'm sure you'll get to see him." The bear said waving the three inside. He took a werecoyote who tried to sneak in with them by the arm and pushed him ten feet back with ease.
