It had been just over an hour since Mariah Kasi had locked down Sahara Square and the news was spreading like wildfire. Finnick was on the couch, eating a popsicle and watching TV; while Nick was asleep in his room, konked out by the pain killers.

"This is a breaking news bulletin, Sahara Square has been put on immediate lockdown after gunshots were heard and two officers went missing." The Jaguar reporter stated. The Caribou turned to the camera and spoke.

"Indeed, chief Bogo along with fellow officer Judy Hopps have gone missing after conducting surveillance on the area to search for the notorious criminals Psych and Oshu. Details from the ground right now are still coming in; we promise to keep you updated as this story develops. As of right now, no one is being allowed in or out of Sahara Square, causing massive delays in traffic and train services."

"Uh oh." Finnick breathed. Peeking inside his room, he could see Nick still fast asleep in his bed. He knew his friend had been through a lot already and tried to remain optimistic instead of waking him up just to worry him. Shutting the door most of the way, he aimed for the couch and pulled out Judy's laptop from the coffee table and plugged it in. "Maybe I can find out more on here."

He browsed for any news regarding the incident, including a few cellphone videos that were taken of the blockades. After some time, Finnick found something much more disturbing. It was a video showing Psych and Oshu holding Judy and Bogo. He clicked on it and waited for it to load.

"Recognize anyone ZPD?" Oshu introduced showing the two on a concrete floor, unconscious. "This is real simple. 48hrs of no cops near us. We see you, we'll blow you sky high and leave their bodies in every corner for you to find! Cooperate, and we'll drop them off when we've finished what we need to do. Don't test us!"

"Oh damn." Finnick gasped. Looking around the room he decided to continue searching for any more news.

Finnick glanced at the clock, it was 7:54PM. He had been watching all day for updates on Judy and Chief Bogo but the news wasn't good. Nick finally awoke, slowly strolling out from his room as Finnick shut the TV off. Nick glanced briefly to him, throwing up a brow as he headed into the kitchen to grab a glass of water for the pills. He took two more and flushed them down with the entire glass and sighed with relief. Until he looked up at the time and saw it was almost eight and Judy wasn't home.

"Hey, where's Judy!?" Nick asked urgently. Finnick folded his ears back, closing the laptop and replied.

"She's... Not here."

"Uh huh. Yeah I gathered that much." Nick strolled over to the couch. "Did she call? Working late or something?"

"Could say that." Finnick agreed. Nick blinked a few times, staring at him rather unimpressed and sighed.

"You, are lousy at lying." Nick stated, turning the TV on. The screen was showing Sahara Square with multiple cruisers out and around the area along with the message on the bottom. (Police in search of missing officers.) "What?"

"Nick." Finnick tried to say, but was cut off by Nick looking at his phone to see seven missed calls. It started buzzing in his hands once again, Nick briefly scolding himself for leaving it on vibrate and answered.

"Hello?"

"Nick! Jeez finally!" Matt Grizzoli exclaimed. "You had me worried sick!"

"What's going on, I just woke up." Nick replied, rubbing his eyes.

"Nick, it's Judy. She and Chief Bogo have been kidnapped."

"What!?" Nick shouted, leaping up from the chair.

"There was gunfire in Sahara Square; they have the whole place under lockdown. No one's getting in or out."

"How the hell did she go missing?" He panicked, walking the room. "She's. She's not that. I mean, she was with Bogo."

"Nick, calm down. I'm coming over alright? I offered to come back on to help, but they refused me again. I'll be down there ASAP. Just sit tight, we'll figure this out." He insisted.

"Ok, come on. Hurry."

Back in the basement of the mansion, Judy was beginning to stir awake. Groaning, she could feel the swelling on the side of her face and the soreness in her chest from where the dart hit.

"Well now." Psych announced, rising out of his swivel chair. "You're awake Miss Hopps." He chuckled strolling over and picking up her chin to meet her face to face. "How do you like your accommodations?" Tossing it back down. Her feet were shackled to the ground, along with her arms. The basement was quite large, concrete walls surrounded it with a small gym to the left and a desk in the corner near the doorway leading upstairs. The floor was concrete too, save for the more tile like designed floor she was tethered to. Bogo and Wolford were close by, less than six feet away from her. Bogo was still unconscious, chained to the floor just like she was, but Wolford was lying on the floor, barely able to keep his eyes open.

"What, is this?" She tried to say with her voice rasping.

"Mmm, yes. Seems the previous owner had a strange fetish and used this place for, recreation." Psych noted, pointing up toward the four showerheads. "We removed the glass and other assorted goodies but, kept the chains because as you can see. They have their uses aside from the erotic." Psych looked her over, her head hanging low until Psych pushed it back into the wall with the chains tensing up, stuffing the barrel of his gun to her neck.

"Judy." Wolford whimpered.

"Shut up, traitor." Psych snapped back to him. "Now rabbit, before I serve you to Oshu on a platter, I want a few questions answered." Judy whined and whimpered, the chains cutting off circulation to her arms and legs until Psych let her go. "Apparently you're not quite up to the task yet."

"He was right, you're a monster." She whispered.

"Yes well, I am what you pigs in blue and that useless fucking rodent made me. I'll take being called a monster by you as a compliment." Psych fired right back, rising up to his feet to holster his gun. "You and your precious ZPD."

"We, protect people." Judy tried to argue, starting to pull herself together.

"No, you serve the city to issue tickets and make money." Psych corrected. "But perhaps I shouldn't be so harsh; the concept is likely beyond the grasp of a naive little rabbit."

"Well then what are you waiting for?" Judy sniffled.

"Like I said, I want answers." Psych replied, wiping his hands with a tissue from his pocket and stuffing it back in. "Like how you found out my name."

"Maybe you're not as clever as you thought you were." Wolford spoke up.

"One more word out of you, traitor and they'll be putting you to rest as Miss Wolford." Psych quipped, throwing up his brow. The look reminded Judy of Nick right away. Shaking her head she sniffled once more. "Now, how did you find out my name?"

"It was in the archives. You deleted everything off our servers, but Bogo found the physical case files." Judy explained.

"Ah, well. That must have been quite the search. I'll have to applaud the bastard's tenacity there." Psych smiled to Bogo before turning back to Judy. "And that's how you found Nick's file, didn't you?" Judy shook her head and sniffled once more. "I have to give you credit as well, I knew going up against you would prove more challenging than Oshu thought. Quite creative using Nicky's name to throw me off my game. Would have worked if not for Aiden." Psych nodded along.

"You don't know." She stammered.

"Oh, is there more little one?" He leaned in closer. Judy rattled the chains, trying to headbutt Psych but he was just out of range. "Come now, when I want you dead you'll be dead. Might as well get whatever it is off your chest now." He insisted. Judy fell back and started to feel the tears well up.

"Fine, you want the truth? Nick and I are together. I'm his mate and his partner on the force. He joined half a year ago after we solved the nighthowler case." She cried out. Psych simply shook his head, laughing as he stepped back.

"Quite the passionate performance my dear, but I'm simply not buying." He stated, folding his arms. "Nicky's a popsicle hustler. He couldn't join the force if he wanted to with his record. His tax felonies alone-"

"Were scrubbed in exchange for his service to the city and agreeing to join the ZPD." She fired back. Psych threw up a brow and started listening more intently. "He helped save fourteen missing mammals along with helping to stop the corrupt mayor Bellweather and saving my life. The ZPD was honored to take him in. We asked to work with each other because we were friends, but that grew to something more." Psych nodded, pulling out and tapping the barrel of his gun for a moment.

"I downloaded the police databank. He's not in it."

"But you didn't get it all, didja Psychy?" Wolford laughed and coughed on the floor. "Judy, he didn't get it all. He- He was missing the last couple years."

"We were attacked in our bunker before the download could complete." Psych confessed. "Yes that is true. But I still don't believe my son to be some, bunny humping cop."

"Where's my phone?" Judy whimpered. Psych turned behind him to the desk near the workout equipment.

"Back there."

"I'll give you the password, see for yourself." Judy insisted. Psych grabbed the phone from the desk and brought it back to Judy. "051516"

"Oddly simplistic." Psych noted.

"Was the day I met him." She stated. Psych opened up the phone and went into photos. The gallery was full of pictures of Judy and Nick. Opening up one, he started scrolling through. Pictures of them kissing, eating at cafes, Nick with coffee spilt on his shirt, a few of them cuddling in bed. The one that caught his eye though, was Nick on graduation day. Judy had a clear shot of his badge as he zoomed in to see the name on the bottom, it was a bit fuzzy, but he could somewhat make it out. "Wilde."

"Hurts, doesn't it?" Judy asked, stealing away his attention. "Kind of like the bullet you fired through his chest?"

"What?" Psych breathed, folding his ears back.

"When you shot at me, Nick pushed me out of the way, remember? Through the ribs, punctured his lung, bruised the heart and out through his back. I stayed by his side, watching as he almost died in that hospital bed because I love him! He pulled through and Bogo showed us both the case file, Parker. He knows it was you. So ask yourself, who's the monster now?" Judy fired out angrily.

"No, no this can't be." Psych whispered.

"See for yourself." Judy insisted, fussing with the chains a little, she managed to reach into her pocket and produced Nick's badge and name tag and showed it to him. Psych leaned down and read the name printed in gold. "Nicholas P Wilde." Rising to his feet, Psych stared blankly down at the glittering badge; before turning and walking toward the desk. He placed the phone down; exiting the basement he walked vacantly down the hall and out into the living room, up the stairs and down the next hall to his bedroom.

It was beautifully laid out, white walls with a flat screen TV mounted at the foot of the bed. Two night stands on either side, each with their own lamp. An alarm clock with a picture in a black oak frame. The wooden dresser leaned up near the window with a few tools sitting on top.

Looking over the room, the two duffle bags on the bed; one filled with his cut of the money, the other with his medications and weapons. He walked over to the nightstand and picked up the picture. It was a photo of him, Rachel and Nick. She was smiling holding the happy little kit in her arms with Parker making a silly face to get Nick to laugh. His finger ran the length of the photo, his paws starting to shake as the tears began to well up in his eyes. Slamming it on the ground he turned his frustration to the bag of money.

"It's worthless now, isn't it?" He spoke to himself, even giving a quick laugh. "Nicky can't even take it if he wanted, it's all stolen." Psych nodded, opening the bag and tossing the bills on the bed. "It's worthless. All of it. All my hard work, all these years and now it's absolutely useless. I can't even do one thing right by my own son!" In a fit of rage he tossed the bag of money at the wall and dove into his weapons bag. "There's no point to this, not anymore!" He shouted. Grabbing his stun gloves, he fastened them to his arm and whipped out the blades. Jamming them into the TV, he ripped it from the wall and slammed it on the ground. Lost in an absolute fit of rage, he cleaved through the lamp at his bedside, tossed the dresser to the ground and shredded the sheets and pillows on the bed. Aiden and Bryan overheard the chaos and rushed upstairs. Aiden even pulled out a stun gun, fearing someone had broken into Psych's room.

Crashing through the door, he was shocked at the sight before him. Psych smashing everything in sight, the money scattered throughout the room, some of it torn up in the process.

"What the!?" Bryan exclaimed, as Aiden charged in and took hold of Psych's arms.

"Psych! Get a hold of yourself! Stop it!" He barked. "Knock it off!"

"No! There's no fucking point to this shit anymore!"

"Parker! Look at me!" Aiden bellowed, pulling his mentor's hands together. "It's me, for god's sake, calm down! Tell me what happened!" Psych threw his ears back and went wide eyed looking up to meet Aiden's. Caving in, he fell onto Aiden's chest and started crying.

"He'll never forgive me. It's over. I can't do this anymore." Psych cried. Aiden kept a fast grip on his mentor while shooing away Bryan. The stunned racoon complied and closed the door, leaving Aiden to tend to Psych alone. He withdrew the blades and dropped the weapon to the floor.

"Shh, it's alright Parker. I'm here for you. I got ya."Aiden held on fast for a good while, doing the best he could to comfort his broken mentor.

Mariah returned to her room at the Oasis luxury hotel. Exhausted from spending the day searching for Bogo and Hopps. She spoke with a few of her fellow officers in the lobby, including Delgato.

"You don't mind taking over the evening shift do you?" She requested.

"No, not at all. If it's to help find Bogo and Hopps I'm on it." He insisted.

"Ok." She submitted, heading toward the elevator.

"I'll call you if I find anything. We're going to have to release the lockdown though and just screen the vehicles coming back into town."

"I wish they would extend it." Mariah lightly protested.

"Mayor Lionheart has been inundated with calls for people wanting to get back to their homes. Besides, I think you're right and he's likely hiding out here in Sahara Square." Delgato countered politely, placing his paws on his hip.

"Thank you, Diego. Have you gotten a hold of Nick Wilde?" She asked, with the elevator door opening.

"No, he's not answering my calls. Likewise with Grizzoli."

"Do not let them into town. Nick has just as big a target on his back as Judy, I greatly fear for his safety. He might be the only one we can use to negotiate an exchange for our friends."

"Agreed." Delgato nodded. "Night Mariah."

"Night." With a heavy sigh, she fell back into the elevator and gazed up at the lights. "What are we going to do?" She said to herself. "Think Kasi, think. Is Alex stupid enough to seize a nice place, or has Psych convinced him to stay underground." The elevator bell rang, opening the door she walked to her room and slid the key inside. Shutting the door behind her, she took one good long breath and swung for the bathroom. Something caught her eye before she could walk in, and glanced over at the bed to see a cheetah in a black muscle shirt sitting on her bed. Withdrawing her gun she growled. "Give me a reason not to shoot you where you sit."

"Is that anyway to greet your big brother?" Oshu rose up to his feet and turned to meet his sister face to face. "Can't say I like the color, but it's good to see you sis." Mariah stormed up to him and shoved him up against the wall with the gun pointed at his chin. Alex just smiled, knowing she wouldn't actually shoot.

"Where is Bogo and Hopps!? What have you done with them!?" Mariah demanded.

"Relax." Alex insisted, placing his hands on her shoulders. "They're still alive. Like we said in the video. You leave us alone; we'll drop them off when we're done with them."

"I know what that means, Alex! You're going to drop off the remains!" She fired right back.

"If you really believe that, then shoot me." He said softly.

"Why do you do this!? You're just making this worse for us, for your family!"

"I've got the money to take care of our entire family."

"It's not your money, damn it Alex! Why couldn't you listen to papa?" She angrily tossed his arms down.

"And what, work in a fishery my whole life!?"

"You were a respected circuit racer! If you needed money for a while you could have just come home, done a few shifts with papa and mama and waited for better sponsors. I can't understand why you went to crime instead."

"They pay a bit more than a fishery."

"But it was HONEST work, Alex. That's all you're afraid of, isn't it? Having to put real effort into something."

"And get nothing out of it, like mother and father!? How many times has father just made it by? How many of those notices kept showing up at our door, threatening to kick us out. Hours they spent, negotiating deals to get off the hook with debt collectors? You call that a fucking life!?" He argued.

"And we are old enough to help them. Father has no more money troubles thanks to me. But what would you know about that? You're too busy running around stealing and killing innocent animals." Mariah argued.

"Beats coming home and stinking of fish guts every day." Alex retorted. Mariah took a good swing at Alex's chest, but he deflected it and spun her around, putting her in an upright head lock. "I'm the only one in our family who has any sense, Mariah. You should listen to your big brother." Growling she leaned forward and kicked off the ground, slamming Alex into the wall and dropping her from the headlock. Taking him by the throat, she shoved him through the balcony door and out onto the rail. Alex snatched hold of it, preventing the fall as she pushed again and again, taking the gun up to his throat once more.

"I'm not going to give you another chance. Surrender it all, the money, the hostages, the weapons all of it!" She shouted in a mix of growls and snarls. "Or I'll bring you down myself!"

"That's how you want to play this?"

"I'm through playing games, Alex." Mariah snarled, pushing on him harder as he started to teeter over the edge. "Turn, yourself, in." Alex was struggling to hold on. In a leap he shoved Mariah back inside and shoulder checked her into the bed. She rolled over and sprung back to her feet and fired at Alex as he fired back at her. The bullet winged her shoulder while her shot sliced open his left cheek. Gasping she clutched her shoulder as he slowly revealed the gash on his face to her. Stammering, she aimed high on him again. Not taking the chance, he fled the room, another shot missing his head as he ducked out the door and out to the stair well. Mariah snatched up her radio and called it in. "All units, all units. Oshu has been spotted, heading down the stairwell at the Oasis Hotel. Scramble and intercept!"

Alex leapt down from stairwell to stairwell until he found his footing at the bottom floor and burst out the door. Police were arriving by the door and rushed inside, raising tasers to fire at him.

"Freeze!" They shouted, but Oshu ducked the first two firing on him and slammed two of the other officers into the doorway, forcing it open. Out on the street he made it to his car and leapt inside. Delgato got eyes on him and followed in hot pursuit. Oshu could see the cruiser in his mirror and decided to lead him away from their hideout. He blazed down the street, bobbing and weaving through traffic all the while with Delgato hot on his tail. Seeing an opening in the left lane he slid over and slammed the breaks, getting in behind Delgato he tried to move in to pit him. But Delgato's car was no slouch, slamming the gas and shifting up, he sped up and out into an empty intersection. He threw down the hand break and drifted out, firing out the window at Oshu's car as it passed. Stopped, he got one good clear shot at his left rear tire and blew it out. Swerving and unstable on the road, Oshu couldn't get his car under control. Delgato revved up again, spinning out he aimed for Oshu as he slid to a stop. Delgato would never give him the chance to escape, aiming his car for Oshu's door, he T-boned him. Oshu was sent spiraling off the road and into the sand dunes nearby.

"Ugh." Delgato groaned, holding his head after the air bag deployed in the collision. Dazed and disoriented, he got out of his car and spotted Oshu, climbing out of the mangled window of his once sleek black car. Delgato pointed the gun high on him and shouted. "You're under arrest, Alexander Kasi!" Grunting and patting his cheek, his fur and shirt stained with blood he took a deep breath.

"Go to hell, cop." Delgato pulled the trigger, but his clip was empty. He fired every round he had at the car. Tossing it aside he reached for his taser but Oshu leapt back at him and pinned him down. Tossing the taser away he took two good swings at Delgato but he caught them both. With a gutful roar, he clasped Oshu's hands together and started climbing to his feet, hoisting him up in the process.

"You couldn't take on Matt, and you think you can stand toe to toe with a tiger!? You worthless scumbag!" He shouted, tossing Oshu like a toy back into the dune near his car.

"Maybe you're right." He confessed, down on all fours. "Tigers are tough and all." He nodded as Delgato approached, cracking his knuckles. "But you have nothing on speed." In a sudden burst, from all fours Oshu began racing through the sands. Using his tail to balance his turns, he buried his visage in the darkness of the dunes leading up toward his hideout. Delgato couldn't pursue, his cruiser was totalled, but now at least thanks to his efforts, so was Oshu's car.

Nick was on the phone, calling Judy's house in Bunnyburrow. Stu picked up the phone and greeted in his usual jovial manner.

"Hello, Hopps house?"

"Hi Mr. Hopps, it's Nick calling."

"How's it going there, Nick!? Haha, you still coming in three weeks for the holidays?"

"Of course, of course. But could I speak to Ian please?"

"Ian, yeah sure just hang on a sec. Ian! Phone for you!" After a moment, Ian picked up the line downstairs and called back.

"I got it! Hello?"

"Hey Ian, it's Nick. I really need your help in a big way."

"It's Judy, I know." He sighed. "I saw it online. Mom and Dad don't know yet."

"Please bud, can you help me out? The video they posted. Can you trace it somehow?"

"I've been working on that for the last little while. I had a hunch you'd call me. I think I've got it but not 100% sure."

"I'll take anything at this point." Nick stated, looking to his friends in the room. Matt and Finnick were on the couch beside him while Flash sat on the floor across the coffee table.

"Let me see. I've been running a program that traces requests submitted to VPN's back to their sources. It takes a while, but it's been going for about an hour now. Should have something. Oh!"

"What?"

"I got a hit in Sahara Square! Ok, let's see. Ok, five addresses are coming up in that area."

"Psych will likely be hiding in a bunker."

"Uh." Ian trailed off for a while. "No, no bunkers coming up. Oh, but. Ok here. Look. The addresses are 505 Aloe ave. No, that's just a regular house. Um, 502, same thing. 1018 Dry River road. Uh, no that's suite 324 so it's an apartment."

"This place was big."

"Yeah I know. Like a basement or. OH!! 60653 Derecho Drive. It's a mansion!"

"A mansion, 60653 Derecho drive, that sound familiar to anyone else?" Nick asked.

"Yeah." Finnick perked up. "That's where that millionaire went nuts, had some kind of sex scandal happening?"

"Oh yeah, I know the place." Matt agreed waving a finger. "It's been foreclosed for about a year now because the case is still pending trail."

"That's gotta be it." Ian spoke up. "Nick, if I can help in any other way let me know."

"I'll keep you on speed dial bud, I love ya, I owe ya!" Nick beamed with joy. "Haha, we know where they are. Now how do we make them squeal?"

"Going in guns blazing isn't going to help much." Matt noted.

"Well... Perhaps... We... Should... Sneak...In..." Flash suggested.

"Me and Finnick could pull that off." Nick stated. Finnick waddled over and punched Nick in the chest. "AHHH hahaha, ow!! What the hell is wrong with you!?"

"You're a glass cannon right now Nick." Finnick explained. "One hit and you're down for the count."

"He's right. This is all romantic and brave of you, but not exactly smart. We need to out fox your father here." Matt agreed.

"Simple. We break in when they're all asleep, late at night like around 3:30 or 4:00. We see if Ian can kill the power. That should shutdown their surveillance of the house and leave Psych in the dark. Flash, you take the car and literally drive through the front door, causing a distraction with Matt. Don't get yourselves killed, just draw the attention away. When they chase you, they'll open the garage. I sneak in with Finnick, we get Judy, Bogo and Ryan into his van and by the time they get back." Nick snapped his fingers. "They'll been had."

"We turn over their location afterward to Mariah and Diego." Matt smiled.

"And they go to town and level the place." Nick smiled.

"I like it." Finnick smiled.

"I don't... Know...If...My... car...can...take..all...that."

"We've got time." Finnick pointed out. "It's only 9:30, we could pad the car where we need extra armor."

"Actually, better idea." Matt suggested. "Nick, would one of Judy's bullet proof vests fit him?"

"Yeah, most likely."

"Good, I've got one that might fit Flash here." Matt pointed to him.

"Awe..some." Flash dopily smiled. Nick gave a quick nod and called Ian back.

"Hang on Judy, we're coming."

Parker took a good long swig from a bottle of strong liquor. Aiden sat beside him on the shredded up bed and kept a hand on his back. He had done his best to clean up the room, picking up all the money and stuffing it back in the bag while clearing the debris on the ground to either side of the room.

"So it was him, all this time huh?" He asked in a hushed voice.

"Yeah, it was him." Parker leaned back, sloppily grasping for his bag and pulling it beside him. He cracked open the bottle of pills and took three with another chug from the bottle.

"Easy!" Aiden chastised, setting the bottle down. "Gonna kill yourself at this rate." Parker gave a quick laugh.

"What does it matter? Son hates me, can't give him the money. Might as well be dead."

"Don't say that." Aiden once again scolded. "You know you're the closest thing I have to a father."

"And you a son to me but-" Cutting himself off with a burp. "But the only reason I took this, fucking job. Was to help my boy on the streets before I die. Instead, I almost kill him and he's a fucking cop to top it off." He stammered, wiping his face. "God, Rachel would kill me if she were here."

"Well, what's done is done. All we can do is move forward." Aiden advised.

"Well here." Parker grabbed the other bag and dumped it in his lap. "To your health kido. It's all yours."

"Your cut?" Aiden questioned. Parker just nodded and hung his head low. Climbing off the bed he placed Parker's head on his shoulder and let him get a few more sniffles out. "I'm so sorry, Parker. Is there anything I can do?"

"Just. I don't know, the guys will want to know what the fuck happened here. Just tell them I found out he was dead." Parker said with another sniff, releasing himself from Aiden. "I'm gonna go downstairs, watch the prisoners. Finish off this shit and sleep." Parker stated, gesturing to the bottle.

"Please take it easy." Aiden insisted, grasping his hand.

"I'll try kido, for you. I'll try." Parker nodded along. Aiden lead the way out the door with Parker in tow. They walked down the hall and arrived at the top of the stairs just in time to see Oshu walk through the front door.

"Oshu." Aiden nodded, keeping Parker at his side.

"Hey!" Bryan called out to both of them. "Psych, how you feeling?"

"He looks worse than me." Oshu threw in. Parker didn't answer, just aimed for the hallway leading downstairs as Aiden stepped forward.

"Guys." He huddled them in. "Look he just found out. His son was killed a while back. Judy apparently knew him for a while and let him know."

"Oh fuck." Oshu hung his head. "Oh jeez that poor old bastard."

"Did he tell you?" Aiden asked.

"Yeah. He took this job to give the money to his son." Oshu nodded.

"Why? Doesn't make sense." Bryan spoke up.

"Bryan, he's dying. Psych has cancer."

"What!?" He exclaimed. "No fucking way. Well now that whole bedroom disaster makes sense."

"Psych tore up his room when he found out. He's just- he's a wreck. He's gonna go talk with Judy for a while. He said she told him with more class than he deserved. Think he respects her for it." Aiden carried on explaining.

"Wow." Oshu said quietly. "Yeah, give him some time to talk with her. Find out about his son some more. I can do that for him, easy."

"Right." Aiden agreed.

"I got night watch tonight, I'll let the guys know when they wake up to leave Psych be." Bryan agreed.

"I'll check on him from time to time as well. Make sure he's ok. In the mean time, I'll keep monitoring the jam cams, watch for cops on the approach."

"Good on ya." Oshu praised, patting Aiden's shoulder.

Entering the basement, he could see Judy fussing with her chains a little while Bogo stared daggers at the fox as he entered the room. Parker looked them all over for a while before glancing to his desk. He scooped up Judy's phone and took another drink before typing in the passcode again. With no amount of grace, he stumbled over to Judy's side and sat down, leaning up against the wall as he scrolled through the pictures.

"He looks happy in these." He said, setting the bottle down beside him.

"We're happy together." Judy answered softly. Wiping his nose as he sniffled again, he carried on scrolling through. Finding a video of Nick and Judy at the farm. Nick was bringing out the banner to help set up while Judy filmed him.

"Carrots, would you put that down. Could help me and your dad put this up."

"I got chairs and tables with mom, Nick. This is all you boys."

"Lovely."

"Oh, I almost forgot the ladders!" Her father exclaimed running back to the garage.

"So is this a formal event, should I be in a suit in tie?" He asked the camera.

"Do you even own a real one?" She giggled. Nick perked up his brow and stole the phone away.

"Here's something for you to record." He laughed alongside Judy, as he dipped her down for a good long kiss for the camera. "By the way, I'm keeping the phone."

"No you're not! Give it back!"

"Next time be a bit faster Carrots!" and the clip cut off.

"Hah." Parker laughed, taking another drink. "He's charming isn't he?"

"Yeah. That was just a few days ago." Judy whimpered.

"You love him, don't you?" He asked, leaning his head back against the wall.

"I love him with all my heart." She stammered. "And I'm so scared, I'm never going to see him again and it's all because of you."

"Judy, hang in there." Bogo comforted. "We'll find a way to get out of this mess." Parker shuffled closer to her, taking her cuffed hand and stealing away her attention.

"Relax Judy." He said in a strangely reassuring tone. "You mean that much to my son, I won't let anything happen to you, I promise. Do you know why, I came back to this city?" He asked. Judy shook her head. "Well, I'm dying of cancer. Maybe you knew that already too but, last I heard, my son was on the street hustling popsicles to make a living. Half the time homeless and the other half living in motels."

"He has an apartment now." She corrected.

"That's good." He nodded eagerly. "But I wanted to give him something big before I check out. So, when Oshu was dropped in my lap I saw a chance to give my son, one last gift. No more money problems for the rest of his life." He explained as Judy met his eyes. "I figured, if I could get him off the streets for good. Maybe he would think a little better of his father, you know? I'd get a chance to sit at a cafe with him, catch up. Apologise for leaving and really explain what happened." He sniffled, taking another drink. "But that's all a dream now, isn't it. The dream of a stupid old fox."

"Why did you leave?" Judy questioned softly.

"Because of cock suckers like him!" He pointed angrily to Bogo. "How many complaints did we make against Daryl? Twenty something? Huh?"

"27." Bogo replied.

"Yet he makes one statement to chief Hogkins of the ZPD and suddenly my wife is being investigated as an unfit mother because of her age."

"Her age?" Judy threw up an ear.

"Rachel gave birth to Nick when she was only 18. We stayed with Marcus and Ruth Chase and I worked full time as a networking technician for Zootopia's phone company, but that wasn't enough huh." He scowled to Bogo. "No, you corrupt jackasses had to listen to abusive drunks instead of good honest people." He fumed. "My poor girl. She would wake up in the middle of the night and just, run into Nick's room and hold him. He wasn't making a peep but she'd get up and she'd be so terrified they were coming to take him away. She cried so much, it was a living nightmare." He recalled.

"I'm so sorry." Judy insisted.

"I had nowhere else to turn. I met Montador from a friend of mine who did plumbing for their house regularly. At the time we became good friends."

"That's when you set up the hit." Judy concluded.

"Yeah." Parker wiped his eyes once more and took another drink, the bottle almost empty.

"Still leaves you guilty of conspiracy to commit." Bogo interjected. Parker sharply rose to his feet and stood before him.

"If I'm still guilty of that, then I'll hold you accountable for that pig's defense of my piece of shit, father. You sent my wife into a living hell; I don't see why I shouldn't return the favor!" He growled.

"Parker, please. Calm down." Judy insisted, trying to get him back over to her. "Nick wouldn't want you to hurt him, you know that."

"Maybe." Parker nodded, bringing himself back over to Judy's side he slumped against the wall. "Maybe if he knew what they did."

"Parker. I get it. I understand why you hate the ZPD so much. What you've been through, is horrible. There's no justification for it. But it doesn't excuse what you're doing now." Parker looked away for a moment. "Blowing up the cooling towers, robbing those banks, the station explosion?"

"I didn't blow up the fucking station." He waved off. "That was Oshu's brilliant fucking idea. Let's get some C-4 without telling either of our explosives experts!" He mocked.

"You didn't blow it up?" Judy asked again.

"No!" He scowled back to her. "Why the hell would I do that? I took out the cooling towers to piss off that rodent. But the more bodies you rack up, the more heat you get. I lived my life covering my tracks; I swear that cheetah just wants to show off." He scoffed. "No, I'm guilty of something far worse." He stated, drinking the rest of the bottle and tossing it across the room, watching it shatter on the wall and on the floor. "No, I nearly killed my own son. You're right rabbit, I am a monster."

"Parker, please. You can still make this right by Nick." She pled as she took his hand. "Get us out of here, help us get the money back and come forward for what you've done. Nick and I will vouch for you then. At least if the cancer does take you, you can have a clear conscience."

"I'm sorry Judy, I can't. I just can't."

"Please Parker." She begged. "I love him too, there has got to be a way we can both see him again." Parker hung his head low, wiping his nose again. He took a bit of time, just nestled in his own arms for a while before picking up the phone again. He scrolled through the contacts and found Nick. Clicking on his name with a shuddering breath, he placed the phone next to Judy's ear. Nick was with Finnick, finding a few things he could use to reinforce Flash's car with when he saw her number come up.

"Judy? Is that you!?" He exclaimed.

"Nick, are you ok baby?" She cried.

"Oh Carrots. Where are you? Are you ok? Please, I'll be right there."

"I love you." She said softly.

"Judy, no. I love you too, but please."

"Nicky." Parker said, placing the phone at his ear. "That you boy?"

"Psych. What have you done with her!?" Nick bellowed.

"She's fine Nicky, don't worry. We've had a chance to talk a while. I'm keeping her safe."

"You call that safe?" He fumed. "Kidnapping her and the Chief? Threatening her on the internet for the world to see!?"

"What does she mean to you, Nicky?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"What, does, she mean, to you?" He reinforced. Nick took some time to answer.

"Everything in the world to me. I love her, and if you so much as harm one hair on her head."

"Shush boy." He cut him off. "Whatever you have planned, put it on hold. I'm sure you have some half-cocked scheme to come charging in here to her rescue, you'll never make the door before the RPG's take you out. You'll have one and only one chance to get her out alive. Oh and the fat one. Maybe the wolf." Parker carried on.

"Why should I trust you?" Nick growled.

"Because you have no other choice." He retorted, taking a moment. "Nicky. We'll talk more later. I promise I will call and that I will keep her safe. Please don't do anything foolish in the mean time."

"When?" He submitted.

"Tomorrow, early afternoon." He answered, giving another brief pause. "I love you, Nicky. Take care of yourself."

"Not much choice when it comes to you." He growled, ending the call. Judy reached for his hand but was cut short by the chain. Parker grasped it and smiled.

"Thank you." She whispered. Parker nodded, rising to his feet. He went over to the gym side of the basement and pulled out a few mats and laid them on the floor, taking a few over to the showers he placed one beneath Judy and tossed the other on top of Wolford.

"There you are, looking prettier already." He joked as Wolford snatched it away. "Get some rest, Judy. Or should I say, Carrots? You'll need your strength tomorrow."
