Hello there! I have been typing up chapter's non-stop. Lately however, there has been something on my mind. It is a little distracting and at times makes it hard to type up my chapter the way I would like it to be. Some one who I care deeply for has picked up smoking and has stopped. I do not know what to do. All I know is that I want this person to stop before it's too late, which this person has, but the addition is overwhelming. That is the fear that is in my heart. Even when I walk home from work and find my moments of peace, that fear keeps reappearing time and time again. If anyone can give some advice to help me rid this fear and put a stop to the addition... I would be more then grateful. Please enjoy...

"So what about this Aisu guy?" Lazz asked.
"He is a Half dragon breed that was captured when he was young by BLACKFANG so they could use him as a test subject to see if the G.O.N. of a half dragon could match that of other species. BLACKFANG put Aisu in Tiger Wanghu's battle arena located somewhere on the island and forced him to fight opponents endlessly. Until one day he reached his limit and died in combat. Shortly after that BLACKFANG revived him and fitted him with a cyber heart and kept him drugged for four years while they experimented on him like some plaything." Kilala explained.
"That's the sickest thing I ever heard of." Quicksilver said.
"Kilala why didn't you tell us about this sooner? " Lazz asked as he proceeded to cooler in the Rio picture down to the very last pixel.
" Because it's confidential information." Kilala said.
"Is that the only reason?" Lazz asked.
"................" Kilala remained silent.
"Kilala?" Quicksilver asked.
"I almost forgot, my daughter Tia says there is a real bad thunder storm headed your way, do be careful. Now if you can excuse me I have to get back to work." Kilala said.
"Lazz keep up the good work. I'll go ask more on the matter and find out what I can from Kilala." Quicksilver said.
" Ok." Lazz said and got off his codec and finished coloring in the picture of Rio and logged on to YiffStar to submit it. Once he was done with that he logged off and looked over to see Rio destroying the vending machine. It was tipped over and candy bars littered the floor. Rio and Carl Kurotsuchi were stuffing their face. Lazz got up and laughed. You two are something else. With that said Lazz joined in the chocolate fest.

CHAPTER 15: Two emotions, War Wolf's Trap!
After all the candy bars were eaten they all looked at one another and laughed. There weren't a lot of candy bars to begin with and they weren't even hungry thanks to the nanomachines in their blood stream. They just ate them just because they wanted to and they took the time to enjoy the small things in life.
"Life doesn't always have to be about fighting." Lazz said.
"I don't mind. Besides if you can't handle this mission I'll just kill you. Just ask and you will get a bullet to the head." Rio said.
"Whoa, okay... I know you have been sarcastic lately, but that was overdoing it. I thought you said earlier you wanted to protect me." Lazz said.
".........Never mind forget I said that." Rio said with a smirk.
"It will be hard for me to since you already did." Lazz said.
"Then pretend I never said it!" Rio said.
" Whatever." Lazz said.
" Anyway, more importantly, Carl Kurotsuchi we need to talk!" Rio said.
" Yes. You're the Pseudo-Chimera Adult project's chief engineer, Carl Kurotsuchi, right?" Lazz asked.
"You know me?" Carl Kurotsuchi asked.
" I heard about you from May. I want to ask you about the Pseudo-Chimera Adult. What is it really designed for?" Lazz asked.
It's a mobile T.M.D. (theater missile defense). It's designed to shoot down nuclear missiles... only for defensive purposes of course." Carl Kurotsuchi explained.
Suddenly Rio got up and grabbed Carl Kurotsuchi's neck and picked him into the air.
"Liar! I already know that Pseudo-Chimera Adult is nothing, but a nuclear equipped walking death mobile!" Rio screamed.
"N-Nuclear? What...are you talking... about?" Carl Kurotsuchi asked and used his G.O.N. to shock Rio as to force him to let go which he did just that.
"The terrorists are planning to use the Pseudo-Chimera Adult to launch a nuclear missile! You telling me you didn't know?" Rio shook his hand to rid the numbness and glared at him.
"When did Rio figure that out? I never told him." Lazz thought.
" They're going to put a dismantled warhead into Pseudo-Chimera Adult's T.M.D. missile module?" Carl Kurotsuchi asked.
"Wrong! From the beginning, the purpose of this exercise was to test Pseudo-Chimera Adult's nuclear launch capability, using a dummy nuclear warhead. The terrorist are just continuing the work YOU STARTED!!" Rio screamed again.
" No, your wrong-" Carl Kurotsuchi said, but then was interrupted by Lazz.
"No... your wrong! I heard it directly from your boss, Takeshi Obata." Lazz said.
"No way..." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"So you really didn't know?" Rio said.
"No. All the armament was built by a separate department and the president personally supervised the final assembly of the main unit. I was never told exactly what the Pseudo-Chimera Adult was armed with, I-I only know it's equipped with a Vulcan cannon, a laser and a rail gun." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
" A Rail gun?" Lazz asked.
"Yeah. It uses magnets to fire bullets at extremely high velocities. The technology was originally developed for the S.D.I. (Strategic Defense Initiative) system and later scrapped. We were successful in miniaturizing it in a joint venture between Dragon's tech and Dragon tails national labs." Carl Kurotsuchi explained.
"Pseudo-Chimera Adult's main function is to launch nuclear missiles, you sure you're not forgetting something." Lazz asked.
"It's true that Pseudo-Chimera Adult has a missile module on it's back that can carry up to eight missiles, but are you saying it was originally meant to carry nuclear missiles?" Carl Kurotsuchi asked.
"Yeah, but that's not all I think. If Pseudo-Chimera Adult fired only standard nuclear missiles, then they should already have all the practical data they need." Lazz said.
" No... Could it be...?" Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"What, spit it out!" Rio said.
"Pseudo-Chimera Adult's co-developer... Dragon Tails National Labs, was working on a new type of nuclear weapon. They were using NOVA and N.I.F. (National Ignition Facility) laser nuclear fusion testing equipment and supercomputers." Carl Kurotsuchi explained.
"So they developed a new type of nuclear weapon in a VR testing lab, huh?" Lazz said.
"Yes. But you can't use virtual data on a battlefield. They would need actual launch data." Rio said.
"If the terrorists launch that thing..." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"It would be the end of everything." Rio said.
"Damn! I'm such a fool! The truth is... my grandfather was part of the Manhattan project. He suffered from the guilt for the rest of his life. And my father... he was born on August 6, 1945..." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
" The day of the Hiroshima bomb, Nuker's got a sense of humor alright. The Hiroshima bombing was the second artificial nuclear explosion in history, after the trinity test, and the first uranium-based detonation. Approximately 600 milligrams of mass were converted into energy. It exploded with a destructive power equivalent to between 13 and 18 kilotons of TNT and killed approximately 140,000 Dragons alone." Lazz said.
"Three generations of Kurotsuchi men. We must have a curse of nuclear weapons written in our DNA. I used to think I could use science to help mankind, but the one that wound up being used was me." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"That's enough talk! Where are they keeping it? Where on this island?" Rio asked.
"Pseudo-Chimera Adult is in the underground maintenance base." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"Where is that? " Lazz asked.
" North of the communications tower, but it's a long way there." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"The emergency override system for the detonation code is there too?" Lazz asked.
"Yeah. In the maintenance base's control room. You should hurry if they were planning a launch from the start then their ballistic program is probably finished." Carl Kurotsuchi said.
"May has the detonation override keys. " Lazz said.
"Okay. Let's go! We have to meet up with May and protect Carl Kurotsuchi until he can dismantle the Pseudo-Chimera Adult!" Rio said firmly.
"I will stay here. Thanks to that ghost Aisu, this place is completely abandoned. Here is my codec's frequency, good luck... I'll contact you later to see how you are doing." Carl Kurotsuchi said and left the room.
Lazz watched as Carl Kurotsuchi left the room. Lazz also saved the frequency to his codec and then looked at Rio. He saw that Rio was bleeding on his right and left shoulders from Aisu's ice shard attacks.
"I have a first aid kit... you should treat-" Lazz said, but was interrupted.
"I don't need it... follow me." Rio said.
"Don't be stupid!" Lazz said.
"No. You should hold on to it in case you get hurt!" Rio said.
"That's kind of you, but...hey!" Lazz said and realized that Rio left the room.
Lazz caught up to Rio down the hall and walked for a ways before they stopped. When they did they noticed that they were surrounded by nuclear warheads. This is where they kept most of them... it was a nuclear storage building after all. Just then someone turns the corner and shocks them both.
"May!" Lazz said.
"So we meet again!" May said.
"You look more beautiful then I remember." Lazz said.
"This is no time to hit on me, Lazz. I used my G.O.N. to heal everyone, back in the restroom thanks to Rio's little diversion." May said.
"Hmph. I would have killed them if I didn't have to worry about Lazz." Rio said.
"Whatever. I tried to hit on you to see if I like you, but I don't oh well." Lazz said.
"It's a waste of time anyway, when I joined up they gave me psychotherapy to destroy my interest in males." May said.
"Ok. So you're a lesbian big deal." Rio said.
"Anyway, do you still have the card keys from Takeshi Obata?" Lazz asked.
"Yes. Look here." May said.
" Huh!? Where are the others there should be three." Lazz said.
"This is all I have." May said.
"Where could the other two be?" Lazz said.
"I have next to no idea." May said.
"I see you have a new firearm now. Tell me, is that FAMAS functional!?" Lazz asked.
"Sorry, it's out of ammo." May said.
"Really. And where did you get that Desert eagle you got there?" Lazz said.
"I got it from a friend who is misunderstood. It's a 50 caliber action express!" May said.
"Trade me right now!" Rio demanded.
"No way! I've been using guns like this since I was eight years old. I'm more comfortable with it then I am with a bra!" May snapped back at Rio.
"Whatever." Rio said.
"Here. It's my codec's frequency, try to contact me later ok? I have to go before my father finds out where I am at." May said.
" Ok thanks, see you around." Lazz said.
"Bye." May said and waved goodbye and then left the room.
"This way Lazz." Rio said as he entered an elevator and waited for Lazz.
Lazz followed Rio and took the elevator up. It rose up to the next floor very slowly. Lazz looked over to see if Rio was doing ok, but he returned a deadly glare back at him. Lazz did not understand why Rio was so mean now. He was not like his old self. Lazz pondered this as the elevator came to a stop. The doors opened and revealed a fancy hallway.
"It looks like the commander's room is up ahead." Rio said.
"How do you know where everything is Rio?" Lazz asked.
"Huh?" Rio said then fell to the floor in massive pain.
"RIO!! What's wrong!?" Lazz asked.
"My head!! Oooh... it hurts!!" Rio yelled.
"What is going on RIO!?" Lazz asked.
"Don't come here Lazz, it's-it's..." Rio said as he was on one knee.
"Are you okay, Rio?" Lazz asked.
"I'm fine...okay... let's go..." Rio said in a completely different voice.
"Your voice...it changed Rio." Lazz said.
"Piss off Lazz you're a burden to me." Rio said in a different voice and walked into the next room.
"Wait up! Rio, don't go ahead without me it could be dangerous." Lazz said and followed Rio.
The next room was abandoned also and was even more fancy. It had marble tiled floors and nicely polished wooden desks and emerald green wallpaper with fancy smoked class lights lined on the walls. Lazz pulled out a picture and got an idea.
"Hey Rio! Look at this!" Lazz said.
"Huh? What's that?" Rio asked in a different voice.
"It's my picture of you, the one I drew before remember?" Lazz asked.
"...................." Rio said nothing and walked off.
Lazz quickly put the picture away and reached for his KM200 combat knife and sliced Rio across the back. Rio fell to the ground in pain and began to bleed. He turned around and looked at Lazz in confusion.
"I think it's obvious that your not really Rio, but the question is who are you?" Lazz asked.
"When did.......... You........ figure.......... It......... out?" Rio said.
" A while ago actually... I just wanted to ultimately make sure of it." Lazz said.
"When?" Rio asked.
"Let's just say you left some clues behind." Lazz said.
(Flashback: Earlier events.)
"Where should we go now Lazz, quickly!" Rio asked.
"Umm ..... The Nuclear warhead storage building. That's where they are keeping him!" Lazz said bluntly.
"Who?" Rio asked.
"Carl Kurotsuchi, He is the team leader of the Pseudo-chimera "Adult" Project!" Lazz exclaimed.
"Ok. Rio said and quickly pressed a button and the elevator door opened revealing three griffin soldiers.
"Rio look out!!" Lazz could not believe what he just saw.
Rio just took aim and fired three perfect headshots at them. They fell to the ground instantly one by one. Lazz's jaw dropped and his eyes widen. Lazz could not grasped how much Rio had improved in just a few hours.

As the elevator slowly descended downward to the first floor Rio examined the dead bodies for ammo and any useful gear. Lazz watched and pondered.
"Listen, you're my friend ok! That is all there is to it! I just don't want to see you die. Now here take these, they should come in handy." Rio said and gave Lazz some grenades he got from the griffins dead bodies.
"Thanks, some of these grenades are Chaff grenades." Lazz said.
"That's right. It's an electronic jamming device. It can be very useful if you use it right you know?" Rio asked.
Before Lazz could reply to what Rio said the elevator doors opened up and they made their way past all the soldiers silently and with out being detected.

"Come on based on the information we received from my dad it should be this way." Rio stated and lead the way.
"You never want to lead the way Rio... you are feeling rather confident now." Lazz said and chuckled a little.

"WAIT, STOP DON"T MOVE!!! " Rio yelled at Lazz.
"Huh? What is it Rio?" Lazz asked.
"Landmines. You would have seen them if you didn't avoid looking down every now and then." Rio remarked.
Lazz looked down and saw half covered landmines in snow. He didn't know what to say. This just adds to the increasing confusion in his head. He almost just lost his life a second time and for a second time Rio saved him.

"Why do you think this place is abandoned?" Rio asked.
"Most likely they all are else where at the moment due to General Andal's defeat." Lazz said.
"Because without their leader they don't know what to do?" Rio implied.
"That's right." Lazz said.
"No. That's wrong." Rio stated.
"Huh?" Lazz asked.
"This place is not abandoned because of the fall of their General, Lazz. This place is abandoned because no one is left." Rio said.
"What do you mean?" Lazz asked.
"They all died." Rio said just before the elevator doors opened up and revealed a bloody hallway and dead griffin soldiers all over the floor.
"What the hell..." Lazz whispered.

(Flash forward: Griffin stronghold, Commander's room)
"First, there was no way you could have known three griffin soldiers were behind those elevator doors. Next, Rio did not know anything about Chaff grenades so I found it weird that he knew so much, even though I told him about them, knowing Rio he would have most likely forgotten. Then there was when you lead the way while we were outside. Rio is still immature and I make him take the rear. He is not suited to be point man yet. He agreed to that before we made it to the island. So I found that funny. Also you said you knew where we needed to go because of what your dad told you, well... it can't be true, because he never said anything like that. If he did then I too would have known where to go. Oh and those landmines... I did see them. I was seeing if you would stop me...and you did. That was just a test to see where your level of awareness was... and it is too high to be Rio's. Lastly, there is no way you could have known about there being a ghost on a island you never even been to, seen, or heard about before. Unless you were here on this island for a while and had time to hear about Aisu's movements. You have also been acting meaner then you normally would and didn't get mad at me for drawing you ugly in my picture. Now your voice is changing and dose not match Rio's voice at all so that was a dead give away. Now tell me who you really are!!" Lazz demanded.
"Mwhahaha... Lazz... Lazz? Do you like me?" Rio said and slowly got up and walked toward him like a zombie.
"What... the?" Lazz said and stepped away.
"Do you like me Lazz?" Rio asked and stepped toward him.
"Rio?" Lazz questioned.
"Hold me, Lazz!" Rio demanded and pointed his S&W 9mm semiautomatic handgun at Lazz.
"Umm...a-are you...." Lazz stuttered.
"Ahh... hurry, hurry! Make love to me Lazz!" Rio demanded.
"You couldn't have done this when we were in the rest room earlier huh? What's wrong with you? Get a hold of yourself!!" Lazz shouted.
"Lazz, I WANT YOU!!" Rio yelled.
Just then Rio dashed at Lazz and choked him by grabbing his neck with his tail. Lazz gasped for air and then kicked off Rio only to find Rio was already behind him. Lazz was now at point blank up against a speed demon.
"I didn't think I would have to use this... " Lazz said.
Lazz quickly dashed toward Rio and took Rio's shot to the torso and let his bulletproof vest block the shot while he retrained Rio and put him in a full nelson. Rio tried to escape Lazz's grip, but it was no use Lazz was stronger then him. Rio let out fire from his mouth as he was roaring in rage. Lazz then jumped into the air while holding Rio and performed a suplex on Rio, breaking the marble floor and landing Rio's headfirst. Rio laid there motionlessly and Lazz disarmed Rio of his handgun then jumped back.
"Huh?" Lazz said as he watched Rio get up from that attack.
"Argghghgunngh......." Rio moaned.
"That's the first time I've used my BK suplex on someone and they were able to move afterward." Lazz stated.
".......ughaun....." Rio said.
"I hope that's not all you got Rio or should I say War Wolf!" Lazz said.
Just then War Wolf walked from behind the bookshelf and hovered off the ground and floated beside Rio.
"It's about time you figured me out Lazz, we used to work together for Nuker's sake." War Wolf said.
" It finally hit me. You have the power to use telepathy, that's your G.O.N. huh?" Lazz asked.
"Take a guess. Listen, Rio likes it here with me so back off. We get along better then you two do. Every time you are with him it just makes me so mad. I like working beside him more so then with anyone else! That's right! I took over his mind using my G.O.N. and forced him to join BLACKFANG!!!" War Wolf said.
"No!! RIO!! I should have known from the beginning that it was too easy, the way we meet back up. Rio doesn't like you, let him go!" Lazz said.
"Really? Let's ask him!" War Wolf said.
"......I will cover you War Wolf.... You are someone who I want to protect." Rio said and stood in front of War Wolf to protect him from Lazz.
"I hope that's not all you can do War Wolf because I'm going to kill you!" Lazz said.
" You doubt my power? Why, I am the most powerful practitioner of psycho kinesis and telepathy in the world. No, there's no need for words Lazz, I am War Wolf!!" War Wolf said.
Lazz quickly pulled out Rio's handgun and took aim. It was different for him. He was not used to holding something so light. Rio liked handguns because of this so Lazz felt as though a part of Rio was still with him.
"I told you it's useless Lazz. I can read your every thought!" War Wolf said and when he finished that sentence Rio stepped closer to Lazz to block his shot and protect War Wolf.
"Great. How I'm I supposed to beat someone who can read my every thought? Even more so will I have to kill Rio in order to save the world and stop millions from dying? The mission is first priority! I will do what I have to do in order to fight for a better republic!" Lazz thought.
" It's impossible. You can't save the world. You have no idea what Rio is capable of! So say good bye to that republic you value to much!!" War Wolf said.
"........." Lazz sighed as there was nothing he wanted to do in fear of War Wolf reading his mind.

Dose Lazz have a backup plan that will help him or will War Wolf just use Rio as a counter measure toward Lazz's attempts?
