Ok, so there is a couple of things to say here although the first two are the most important.

1) There is next to no sex in this beyond a jerking coyote fantasizing about having sex with a roadrunner. I would love you to still read and leave some feedback but I can understand why you would look elsewhere :p

2) This is a continuation of the (as far as I am aware) unfinished L.U fanfic written by the amazing Kyell Gold. If you hadn't already, forget reading this and go read his work!

3) This little story just a prologue, a proof of concept as it were, as it is meant to quickly set up the status quo and, if it goes down well, I'll continue from here soon.

I don't really consider myself much of a writer but after reading Kyell's work I wanted to where the story would go. I loved the relationship between Tech and Rev, but I also loved the mystery building in that background which is what brought me here. If Kyell has written more, I'd gladly like to know! So, please enjoy and any feedback is more than welcome!

Prologue: Zoom and Bored

Tech E Coyote sat at his workbench; gadgets, gizmos and inventions strewn across it but for once the coyote's paws were not a blur of motion as he put the finishing touches to the latest in the Loonatic's arsenal of weapons, instead he was motionless, his eyes closed. Ever since the meteor hit Acmetropolis if the solution to a problem didn't immediately appear in Tech's head, all he had to do was close his eyes for a couple of seconds and the infinite number of possibilities would appear before him, allowing him to see the connections that were invisible to anyone else. Lately, however, what Tech frequently saw when he closed his eyes, was the roadrunner. Tech opened his eyes with a small sigh and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms behind his head, a small smile spreading across his muzzle, he really should be working but all he can think about is that damn bird!. In the past nothing made him happier than building something, picking up his tools and letting his paws work, he would barely be conscious of what he was doing. He'd start working and before he knew it, a new invention was ready to go but now all he wanted to do was spend his time with Rev. It had been more than three months since that afternoon where they first expressed their mutual attraction for one another. Since then they had had their occasional disagreement, the roadrunner was always quick to tease him (just as he was quick to do anything else really) both in private and around the rest of the team but Tech liked to think he gave as good as he got but otherwise things had been going quite smoothly - ignoring the marauding villains and threat of global annihilation anyway. They had developed an arrangement where they would each spend one night a week, sleeping together in the other's rooms, making it a little easier to have time alone together. While they hadn't officially informed the rest of the team about their relationship, it seemed to the coyote that it was an open secret by now. Of course both Lexi and Duck knew; Lexi's auditory enhancements were something that Tech had to now account for whenever he and Rev wanted some privacy, not that he thought that she would listen in on purpose but an audio dampener made sure she couldn't hear anything she shouldn't. While Tech fully believed that Duck's ability to grate on anyone and everyone around him was another ability granted to him by the meteor impact; as no one could be that irritating naturally, he had to give the duck credit, ever since he found out that Rev and Tech were more than just fuck buddies, he had reduced the number of blackmail attempts on them to just one a week. As for Ace and Slam, he had noticed that the guard and patrol duty rotations the rabbit made up paired the roadrunner and coyote together with a much greater frequency than before and that their downtime coincided much more often as well. Perhaps Lexi told him, perhaps he worked it out on his own or maybe it was just a coincidence, all were equally likely in Tech's mind. Slam, on the other hand, would not care in the least, he was quite sure of that but, at the end of the day, what he and Rev did was their business and their business alone, as long as it did not impact the team. It had taken a little time but Tech was now sure that their relationship wouldn't hurt their dynamic. He trusted Rev completely and Rev's trust in him only made him want to succeed even more. He knew he would always worry about Rev, he couldn't help that, but that just made him even more determined that his inventions would keep the roadrunner and the whole team safe.

Tech uncrossed his arms and looked at the chronometer mounted on the wall, Rev was with Slam on patrol and wasn't due back to debrief for another ten minutes or so. "Right! Ten minutes!" Tech said aloud, interlocking his fingers and cracking the joints. "More than enough time!" Leaning forward to pick up his portable electrostatic analyser with the intent to finish recalibrating the drive thrusters of their Zoomatrix cycles when something caught his eye. His paw stopped halfway to the analyser and changed direction to pick up the neural disruptor dart with his magnetism, the projectile slowly rotating several inches within it's sealed sample tube above his open palm. Leaning back in his chair the coyote closed his eyes once more and the other face that had been haunting him for nearly two months appeared in his mind, the face that the hunter had mistaken him for, that of Ralph Wolf. His "old friend" had been behind the deaths of at least nine people, including the hunter; Zebadiah Fudd and very nearly the deaths of both Duck and Rev, and that was what they knew of; Tech had his suspicions that the wolf was involved in much, much more. After he and Ace reported the circumstances of Fudd's death to Zadavia, she absolved them of any blame but warned not to use the Tell-All again. She also agreed to Tech's request to use her considerable resources to look into Ralph's whereabouts but she only did so with the proviso that she would only pass on information if it was confirmed that the wolf was indeed directly involved with the growing number of villains in Acmetropolis and in the meantime, Tech's focus should remain purely on the team and the direct threats that they respond to. While Tech wasn't completely satisfied with this, he accepted the terms nonetheless but it couldn't remove his worry entirely. Ralph was smart, no denying it, gifted even, but was he really capable of all of this? Tech had been tutoring Ralph when the university began work on the Neural Disruptor project, a weapon designed to quickly and efficiently neutralize targets but the potential for long-term damage and even death was an obstacle that the researchers just could not overcome and so the project was shelved. Ralph had been very interested in joining the research team but was denied, so it really didn't surprise him that Ralph had gotten his paws on it. Only university faculty and the military had full access to the design documents that were produced but Tech rather doubted that would be a hindrance, the wolf was crafty after all. The poly-structural xion matrix of the dart's nano-circuitry though, that would take a genius to design and implement and even that paired in comparison with the DNA Scrambler that the Ringmaster and Otto had used to rather a horrible effect. That was some serious tech that he had to put some serious thought into countering. So had the meteor given Ralph super intelligence just like him? Was he now smarter than Tech? "Gah," he groaned , running his paw over his head, flattening his ears briefly down the back of his neck. He always did then when he started following this train of thought about Ralph, as Ace kept reminding him whenever the subject came up; there was no real evidence to suggest that Ralph was the one who supplying these villains with weapons or had produced a drug that could grant scum like Obadiah Fudd superhuman reflexes. All that Tech could prove was that Ralph had helped him make the Tell All in the first place but still Tech knew, he KNEW that the wolf was behind this.

The coyote opened a drawer in the workbench, dropping the dart in and closing it with his magnetism. "Focus Tech...Damn," he hissed under his breath as he glanced at the chronometer again, Rev and Slam should be on their way back to the tower so there was really no point attempting a recalibration now. He leaned back in his chair again and this time willed images of the roadrunner into his mind, closing his eyes and picturing the bird's slim physique, the constant windswept look of his topknot and tail, his dry scent, the sleek smooth feel of his length against the coyote's fingers, the taste of his seed...Tech groaned under his breath and arched his back, his sheath swelling already, it had only been a day and a half but he was already eager for some time with the roadrunner. With a swipe of his paw, he closed the door into the lab, locking it and with a flick, turned on the "dangerous experiments" warning sign, so no one would disturb him. He slipped his paw under the waistband of his pants and started to stroke his fingers along the length of his hardening shaft. At times like this, he wished he was able to vibrate his paw like the roadrunner could, his research into creating a device to allow him to move his paw at that kind of speed would cause some considerable damage to his wrist and arm and even with his regenerative abilities, it wasn't worth the effort. Tech leaned back in his chair more, putting his feet up on the workbench so that he was balancing on the back legs of the chair as he pulled himself free from his pants, his paw working around his already slick shaft in earnest. Tech and Rev had spent the best part of the prior two weeks in just each other's company, aside from the occasional world ending threat, partly from the pair sharing duties more often, as well as calling in some favours from the other team members, the downside being that they were each now pulling double shifts; Rev the prior night and today, Tech tonight and tomorrow. Rev had actually seemed quite agitated when Tech had seen him last, he had put it down to the bird having to do such long hours but he would make sure to speak to him if he caught the chance after the team brief. The main reason for getting so much time together had been to the pair retrofitting Optimatus' starship. Even before they began their relationship, Rev was the only member of the team Tech trusted to assist him, with his inventing. He had been surprised at the roadrunner's intelligence, he had enjoyed having someone he didn't have to dumb himself down to and he could trust the bird to carry out his instructions even if he did occasionally act without thinking. Normally while working, Rev's constant talking could prove to be a distraction but while they worked on the retrofit, it had been a particular highlight as they discussed their past and learned more about one another. The best part of the project had been the extended privacy they were able to enjoy, including the fact that they "christened" each of their beds in their quarters on board ship. The coyote groaned as he remembered this, his paw stroking faster, hips rocking, remembering bending the roadrunner over the end of the bed, the bird clutching a pillow while Tech held his feathered tail to his chest as he lined up his saliva slicked length before driving his hips forward, pushing deep into the roadrunners a... "Hey guys we have a problem at Pizza Fest and this seems like something we might want to look into since they do the best sesame seed pizzas in Acmetropolis and I would hate to have to find a new pizza place even if the pizzas are always late and sometimes cold but I really don't mind that since we can just reheat them again..." "Rev!?" Tech's eyes burst open, paw freezing, head leaning back over the chair looking for the source of the roadrunner's voice before it dawns on him that it is coming from the emergency intercom channel. "For those of yous that don't speak roadrunner, we need ta get to Pizza Fest fast! Let's jet Loonatics!" came Ace's voice through the intercom. "Dammit Rev!" Tech thought to himself, as he felt his erection start to wilt in his paw before feeling a sudden sensation of weightlessness. In his surprise he had pushed back against the table and was now falling backwards, the coyote letting out a whimper as he experienced an instant of free falling before being tipped hard onto the back of his head, tumbling backwards out of his chair. "Ow ow ow!" He whines as he gets up to his feet, pushing himself back into his pants with one paw and rubbing the back of his head with the other. "A superhero's work is never done!" He says to himself before sprinting to the door, undoing the lock and throwing it open with his magnetism as heads out to join the rest of the team in combating the newest threat to Acmetropolis.
