Ryan has found himself in a nasty situation... He's being held hostage by Devos, a very evil dragon indeed! He's forced to betray some old friends, and of course this involves eating them...

This is a small series, with great ideas provided by PurpleLove, the owner of Ryan! Including a guest appearance from Bashade. Thanks a bunch, you two!

Ryan came to slowly, yawning as he shifted around. He felt a large, warm presence near him; he slowly began to wonder what that was as he woke up. He opened his eyes to find himself inside an unknown cave, slight breeze blowing in from the entrance. Blinking in confusion, he turned his head the other way to see a large grey form still sleeping, pressed into him.

Ryan yelped, his memories swiftly coming back. This dragon next to him had assaulted him! And made him do some... Horrible things! Ryan yelped softly, unable to help himself. He must of collapsed at some point, Ryan thought, because he had no memory of falling asleep in this cave.

With that noise, Ryan could feel Devos shift and snort. Ryan froze as the grey dragon lifted his head and turned it towards him, green eyes looking at him up and down.

"Hmm. You didn't try to run before I woke up." Devos said, smiling. "Good for you."

"N-no! Of course not!" Ryan stammered, not certain what Devos would do if he tried to run.

"Well, even if you tried, I'm sure you'd have had some... Stomach issues." He chuckled.

At those words, Ryan's stomach let out an angry groan. Ryan rubbed it with one foreclaw. It really wasn't in good shape; it felt quite like a severe case of indigestion inside there. Ryan's gut was still expanded to his paws, weighing him down more than he'd ever been before. As he rubbed, he could feel a lot of shapes protruding out of his belly; Ryan shivered at the thought of what those were...

"How was your first meal, hmm?" Devos asked.

Ryan was at a loss for words. "How was it?" He couldn't bear the thought of what his meal was. "It's... Uhh... Not sitting well..." His gut let out a loud gurgle, the odd contents churning.

"Such meals are a learned skill. Let me feel how it's going. Turn over."

Ryan's eyes went wide once more. "I..."

"Either you let me help or you're breakfast."

Ryan whined. He supposed that was a convincing threat... With some straining, he rolled himself into the air, blue belly exposed to Devos. He kept his limbs close, not comfortable at all with this.

Devos raised a foreclaw down into Ryan's still-engorged gut. He flinched hard as he felt the cool claw run up his belly. Devos pressed firmly into his stomach, making him squirm slightly. He could feel the contents, hard and large, shift around inside him. Devos did this a few times; Ryan slowly relaxing more in the larger dragon's shadow.

Eventually, Devos come to a conclusion. "Oh... You can't digest bones, can you?"

"Am I... Supposed to be able to?" Ryan had never swallowed anyone else whole before, so this was quite the odd consideration.

"Not all of us have stomachs so powerful, I suppose." Devos said, grinning. "I suppose you have to get those out, though."

Ryan knew how, and he didn't like the thought of it. "Are you... Sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure. Let me show you how." Devos said, nuzzling Ryan to make him begin to flip back onto his feet. "I've done this before."

Ryan grimaced as he rolled back onto his feet again, the stomach's contents grinding against him as he went. As is, Ryan wasn't totally certain he could walk yet. "Come on, there you go," Devos said, encouraging Ryan onto his feet.

Ryan's stomach let out a long, angry groan as Devos loomed over the blue drake. He grimaced and whined some more, but the grey dragon went on. "All you gotta do is... Brace yourself."

Ryan opened his mouth, about to speak. His words immediately turned into a yelp, however, when he looked back and saw Devos rear into the air, adjusting one huge foreclaw to loom over him. Before he could act, Devos came down hard on his lower back.

His gut was crushed into the ground, forcing the hard contents outwards. Ryan gagged, feeling the stuff in his gut get forced up and out of his stomach. Dazed, he gasped as the crushing weight of Devos fell off of him slightly... Only to come crashing back.

Ryan was forced to feel those bulges come shooting up his throat, making him choke. Ryan, in the haze of pain, heard Devos speak again. "Now just let those come on up..."

He compiled. Retching, he felt those uncomfortable lumps slide up. They were slow going, being so large, making such uncomfortable, huge bulges in his neck. With some more heavy heaves, he felt one lump come up to this mouth... With force, he expelled the thing.

Head close to the ground, the object came out slowly, with a wet, spittle-covered plop. It was a skull. It was Narste's skull. Pulling his head back, even as he felt more coming, he stared at the thing that came out of him. The yellowed skull, lacking lower jaw, was definitely in the former green dragon's shape. A bit or two of green scale still clung to the bone, making Ryan feel even more sick.

With another lurch, a long leg bone plopped out, followed by a rib... Tearing up, Ryan kept retching, getting all the irritants out of his gut. He felt Devos pressed up against his side, keeping him from falling over. It went on for minutes, Ryan slowly managing to get more out of him and onto the ground. More ribs, leg bones, and even the lower jaw plopped onto the ground...

Soon, Ryan finally felt like his belly wasn't full. With one last heave, barfing out a handful of green scales onto the ground, Ryan collapsed, moaning softly. Before him lied a pile of bones nearly as large as he was, sitting in a puddle of drool and acids. From the bottom of the pile, the skull's eye holes stared at him.

Ryan groaned. "My belly... Feels a little better now..." It was true that he wasn't uncomfortable anymore, but he still felt... Very sick. Devos ran a claw over the fuzz on Ryan's back, making him flinch.

"Just as I thought. Couldn't digest them. Good thing I got them out of you."

Ryan coughed. "I kinda... Wish you didn't now..."

Devos huffed impatiently, making Ryan meep. "Well," Devos said, "I don't think you could walk far with that gut of yours, so I needed to."

"Why...?"

"Because I'm hungry... So I have a job for you." Devos grinned and nuzzled hard into Ryan's side, making him weakly get to his feet.

Ryan whined, huffing and puffing, as he padded along through the forest. Devos had kept up a breakneck pace, the dragon being larger than him! Ryan had no choice but to keep up, with Devos keeping a close eye on him.

"Where are we... Huff... Going?" Ryan said as he trailed behind.

"We need to go to the outskirts of the forest." Devos said softly, smiling. "Because, you see, one dragon wasn't enough. I'm hungry."

Ryan winced. How glutinous was this cannibalistic dragon? "Well... I said... Huff... I was going to help you..."

"And you're going to. Whether in the form of help... Or a meal, if you perform badly."

Ryan whimpered. "Yessir..."

As they walked, Ryan slowly came to notice that the thick trees of the Dark Path were thinning out. More light shone through the gloomy place... Until before them, the trees dispersed almost entirely. Ryan realized something... This was where he had entered this place! His exit was at hand!

Devos stopped, looking back at Ryan. The blue dragon's heart rose into his chest... His escape could be at hand! Ryan continued forwards... But was stopped dead in his tracks by a thick grey tail blocking him.

"Now. I think it's time you went back home. Don't you think?"

Ryan was suddenly so confused. He was letting him go? This wasn't right; something wasn't right.

"You're... Letting me go?"

"Of course not. I'm hungry. So you're going back home... To grab some snacks for me."

Ryan's head spun. "Snacks?... My friends aren't snacks!"

"Oh, they will be snacks. Just run home, tell them I have poor Narste hostage... Of course, you were the one to kill her, weren't you?"

Ryan whimpered some more, memory of seeing Narste's skull fresh in his mind. "Yes..."

"Only you know where I am, of course, so you have to bring back your village's finest defenders. You'll be bringing them right into my jaws."

"But... But... I'll run away! How will you get fed if I never return?"

Devos laughed, and drew his head close to Ryan, breathing heavily on him, making him squirm. "If you don't return, I'll find you. Every last one of your friends will end up in my gut instead. All of them getting digested because of you. So choose wisely."

Ryan couldn't say no. It was either lure a handful of fellows into a horrible trap... Or his whole clan. He bowed his head low and spoke. "... Yessir."

"That's a good little dragon... Now go." Devos lifted his tail, showing the path ahead... That Ryan was suddenly very hesitant to go down.

With a second's thought, he bounded down the path as fast as he could. He wanted to get away from Devos, and all of this...

* * *

The path home was long... It felt even longer with Ryan's knowledge. Much to his chagrin, his belly began to rumble as he walked down the long path, indicating that it was hungry! It was almost as if eating a whole dragon had sped up his appetite. It was already harder than usual to walk, with new pudge weighting him down and making him wobble ever so slightly with each step. But on top of it... He was hungry after eating a dragon larger than he was? Ryan tried his best to ignore the hunger pangs, and approached his dragon village.

Standing watch outside the gates was the same dragon as usual. Bashade was quite dedicated to his post, here at the village's edge. The black dragon, sporting a red underbelly, craned his neck when he saw Ryan in the distance.

Ryan picked up his pace when he saw Bashade. He had to be convincing, or else... Ryan gulped as he ran towards Bashade, panting and yelping.

Bashade recognized the face of the fluffy blue dragon... His eyes went wide. "Ryan! Where are your escorts?"

Ryan felt tears well up (fake or not, he couldn't tell). "They... They're trapped! By a big mean monster!"

Bashade cocked his head. "What? You mean in the Dark Path?"

"Y... Yeah! He caught us... I escaped... "

"Huh? Are the others okay?"

"Yes... But we gotta... Get them out of there!"

"Oh no... This is terrible! We have to go at once!" Bashade began to trot right down the path Ryan took to get here. "Follow me!"

Devos wouldn't be happy with Bashade alone! Ryan yelped. "Hey... Wait! This monster's big. We need... Uhh... More!"

Bashade stopped. "Humph. I can take him!" And he continued.

"No!" Ryan shouted nervously, making Bashade stop and growl. "He's... REALLY big."

"Huff." Bashade rumbled. "We shall gather the other defenders."

Soon, Ryan and Bashade were quickly padding over to the village center. Many dragon-made huts lined the center, housing many of Ryan's kind. The town hall was largest, quite the construction!

"Wait in the town hall. I'll gather the others." Ryan nodded, and parted ways with the black dragon.

"Be quick!" Ryan said, voice nervous. He padded into the spacious town hall, and waited. After what seemed like forever, three dragons walked into the building- Bashade, along with the village's other two defenders, Gregon and Auram. The former was a chubby dragon with red scales, and the latter was an orange-furred, very stocky dragon.

"Hey, what's the deal?" Gregon said as he walked in. "I was napping, and- Oh, Ryan!"

Bashade stopped. "Gregon. Auram. We have a bit of a situation."

Auram blinked. He looked like he just woke up, as well as Gregon. "What is it?"

Ryan spoke up. "Eostre and Narste are trapped in the woods by a big monster. You gotta help them!"

Auram gasped, but Gregon cocked his head. "But you escaped?" the red dragon said.

"Y... Yes."

"You look like you had a few meals along the way. Didja eat a whole horse?"

Ryan looked down and blushed. He was bigger! Before he could reply, Bashade spoke.

"Now is not the time to joke! Lives are on the line."

Gregon snickered. "Fine. Let's stop talking and go, then!"

"Yes... Right away, please!!" Ryan said, a bit too enthusiastic.

The four of them walked out, pace rushed. As they left the town gates, Ryan's stomach grumbled loudly.

"What was that?" Bashade look around him.

"Sorry... I'm a bit hungry."

* * *

By the time the team of dragons found their way into the forest, night was approaching. They had made a fast pace, tiring Ryan out even more, but Bashade insisted. Eventually, the trees, thickened, making it harder to see further...

Bashade spoke. "Where are we going?"

"Trust me... They're being held... Uhh, over here..." Ryan was nervous. Where was Devos? What was going on?

"Hrrf." Gregon snorted. "Where is this monster?"

At his words, an odd rustling noise emanated from the forest, making them freeze in their tracks. A second later, a low voice came from places unseen.

"Right here."

Without warning, Ryan scrambled out of the way. With a WHUMPF noise, Devos appeared, coming from the treetops to smash into the other 3 dragons. Reeling, Bashade and crew stood no chance against the huge dragon.

Devos quickly had them pinned. Gregon was under Devos's rump, head and foreclaws sticking out. The other two had places stuck right in his meaty claws. The wriggled all they could, but Bashade and Auram were held tight by Devos's weight.

"Get off of me, beast!" Auram shouted, struggling to no avail. Ryan backed away slowly, eyes wide. This was really happening, he thought...

"Get off of you? Sure." Devos grinned... And threw the orange dragon up into the air. Auram screamed as he came close to the grey dragon's snout... And then he was caught right in those jaws, Devos bearing down on him.

With powerful gulps, Auram began to go down, head-first. Ryan could hear muffled screaming as the bulge in Devos's neck grew. Ryan could see his long tongue wrap around the orange dragon as he sunk into that maw. Soon, with a few more gulps, Devos was left slurping down a tail, Auram nothing but a huge bulge rapidly going down Devos's throat.

Basade shouted. "Ryan! Do something!"

Ryan stammered and fell onto his haunches. "I'm sorry, Bashade... I..."

With a gulp, Auram was gone. Devos licked his lips and looked down at the black dragon at his feet. "What, you think your friend here is going to do anything for you?" he grinned.

"What...? Why not?"

Ryan looked away as Devos reached his neck close to Bashade. "I'm afraid your friend here wanted this."

Ryan was so angry. He didn't want this! But... As he looked up, he couldn't help but feel the hunger inside of him.

Bashade looked over at Ryan in pure horror. "No! You... Betrayed us?"

Ryan looked up just as Devos grabbed Bashade by the tail and drew him in with his tongue. Devos slurped Bashade up to his sides, making Devos stretch his jaws to fit the feral dragon.

Ryan could only whine, unable to speak, being forced to watch his friend slowly disappear into Devos.

Bashade growled as his shoulders slipped into Devos's mouth with a wet schlorp, leaving only his head in the outside world. "No. No!"

Ryan tried to stammer out anything at all. "I... I'm sorry..."

Bashade found it hard to speak his last words as Devos slurped down his snout. "This... Can't... Be..."

And then Bashade was gone, just another bulge joining Devos's stomach. Devos reared his head and let out an enormous belch, shaking the trees and making Ryan flinch.

"BWWWRRRAAAP! Thank you so much for the meal..." Devos said teasingly. "Your fellow dragons are delicious. Now for dessert..."

Devos lifted his rump, Gregon still pinned under there. Suddenly free of the weight, the red-scaled dragon yelped and shakily got up, instantly attempting to run. However, his larger build could only take him a few steps before Devos whipped around and smashed him into the ground with his foreclaws.

Devos yanked Gregon by his tail, bringing him closer to the cowering Ryan. Ryan watched as Devos swallowed that tail, dragging him across the ground.

Ryan's stomach grumbled loudly. Suddenly, Ryan realized he was... Salivating? He was watching this horrible thing, and he was... Drooling.

Gregon screamed as he felt the pull of the dragon upon his body. "Ryan... I knew it! You monster!" he flailed, to no use.

Ryan thought to himself. He never liked Gregon much, anyways...

Suddenly, before thinking, Ryan spoke, making Devos stop.

"You know... I'm kind of hungry."

Devos's green eyes lit up at those words. His jaws, closed tight around the red dragon, grew into a warped smile. Gregon looked at Ryan, mouth open.

"You... You cannibal!" was the last thing Gregon said. As he said those words, Devos's mouth began to open wide, tiling his head towards the ground. Gregon slid out to his waist, slick with drool.

Ryan thought he was spitting him out... But he wasn't. With immense force, Devos chomped down on the prey in his mouth. A sickening crunch rang out at sharp fangs sank right through the hard red scales. Gregon screamed incoherently.

Devos opened his jaws again. Ryan could see blood trickle down the dragon's sides. With another crunch, Devos chewed once more, nearly breaking Gregon apart.

The red dragon gurgled, eyes wide, as Devos bit down again and again. With sickeningly wet tearing noises, Gregon was divided in two. His upper half tumbled out of Devos's blood-stained mouth, hitting the ground with a wet thud.

Ryan was directly in front of the gory display, staring at the front half of the dying dragon. Guts trailed out behind Gregon, whose screams were quickly growing weaker. He was chewed through at the waist, leaving him immobile.

Ryan's stomach let out another rumble. The display... Was too much. As if he was possessed, he practically leaped at the bloody mess in front of him. He heard a low moan of a dying dragon as he shoved Gregon's snout into his waiting jaws. He used his foreclaws to push on the mass of dragon in front of him, slowly parting his jaws to get the meal in his gullet.

Ryan felt his throat bulge obscenely as he slowly gulped down the head and neck. No resistance was provided as Ryan got to the shoulders; he ravenously pushed and shoved into himself, choking down the huge meal.

Only glrrrking and gllullping noises could be heard as Ryan worked his way down Devos's gift. The red dragon's legs were pinned to his sides as they got gulped together. After a while, Ryan got to the beginning of where the divided dragon ended, now tasting blood and guts.

Ryan was in a haze, thinking only of the flavor. The flavor! With a low, long sluuuurrrrping noise, Gregon's trailing guts slipped into Ryan's maw. With one more hard gulp, the last of the dragon met his fate. Ryan huffed and collapsed, hugging his huge belly. It was only half a dragon, but Gregon was much larger than Narste, by far!

Ryan moaned, feeling the hard shapes under his gut. He was beached, for sure; his meal being so big. His stomach churned the meal, making the shapes slowly move. With a small belch, Ryan had finished off Gregon.

Devos simply sat there, grinning and watching the spectacle. He spoke slowly. "He's right, you know. You're a cannibal now. I didn't even force you."

Ryan groaned, slowly realizing what he had done. "What... What's happening to me?"

Devos curled up around Ryan. He could feel Devos's gut pressed up against his own, snugly. He could even feel the shape of Bashade on the gut of Devos... He didn't even wince any more. Devos looked into Ryan's eyes and smiled.

"You're only going down the dark path, my friend."
