Chapter 3 is up and out! Enjoy everyone!

The alarm buzzed on the nightstand beside Nick and Judy, as she reached over to shut it off. It read 6:43 as she groaned and rolled into Nick's chest.

"Don't wanna get up."

"Don't then." Nick mumbled, still quite asleep. He ran his hand between her ears and stroked down her back again and again. "We can be late."

"Mmm, no. I don't want to be late." She dismissed, but found herself cuddling in as tight as possible. "But this is really warm."

"Yeah." Nick whispered, kissing her neck and cheek before finding her lips. The two kissed repeatedly, clasping each other tight as Judy rolled on top of Nick. Much to his surprise he felt her grinding herself on his belly, slowly working her way down as she moved to kissing his neck and chest. "Carrots." He whispered, his breath caught in his throat. Judy's eyes suddenly bloomed, aware of what she was doing and why.

"Oh sweet cheese and crackers! Sorry!" She exclaimed.

"I wasn't complaining." Nick perked up.

"No no. Gimme a sec." She waved off, darting for her bag and feverishly digging through it. Finally she pulled out a small stick and ran for the bathroom, tossing the door closed. Nick just sat in a daze, wondering what in the world she was doing. As she came out, the sound of the toilet flushing behind her she sighed in relief and smiled as she searched for her pants. "Sorry about that, guess it kind of slipped my mind."

"What did?" He asked. Judy sighed as she fit herself into her pants.

"Estrus. I'm going into heat again."

"Oh!" Nick laughed. "Feeling a bit frisky huh?"

"It's embarrassing; rabbits already have a reputation for breeding. It's annoying when I go into heat." She explained. Nick finally dragged himself out of bed and started getting dressed. "So glad I had a few suppressors with me."

"Do I even wanna know?" Nick smiled.

"Yeah, like you don't know how they work?" She chuckled right back. "How many vixens have you brought over huh?"

"None that were in heat, that's for sure." He laughed, heading into the bathroom. Judy began to think about Nick's statement and spoke up.

"So you've brought home a few girls?"

"Not since I've moved into this place. But back when I lived with my grandparents I had a few girlfriends."

"I see." Judy's eyes darted to the ground. After a bit, Nick came out from the bathroom and found his way into his uniform.

"You ok Carrots? Went all quiet there." He noted.

"It's nothing." She dismissed, heading for his bedroom door. Nick took hold of her arm and spun her around, pulling Judy into his chest.

"Don't like hearing about my past relationships, huh?" He questioned wearing his slick little smile.

"Maybe, I guess because I've had such little luck with boys and someone your age must have had at least a few-" She tried to explain but was cut off by a kiss from Nick. Easing her away, he clasped her cheek in his hand.

"Carrots, relax. I don't think I've ever trusted anyone so much in my life, as I trust you." He assured her, offering up another kiss. "I love you, ok?" Judy finally submitted and smiled back.

"I love you too."

"Come on, we should grab a bite before we head in."

"Sure, but first, we gotta make a quick stop at my place."

Judy grabbed a few things from the drawers in her room while Nick watched from the doorway. She took a few extra suppressors that were inside, along with her headphones and fox repellent, stuffing it back into the slot on her belt. Nick cringed and asked.

"Really, again with this?"

"Relax Nick. It was a gift from my mom and dad. Sides, one of the bad guys we're dealing with is a fox, right?" She reminded him, poking his belly as she passed by.

"Still, ugh. That stuff is nasty."

"Been sprayed?" She wondered.

"Course, burns your skin like crazy and smells like melting plastic and hot hippo butt."

"Ugh!" Judy threw out her tongue in disgust. "No wonder you don't like it." Heading down to the landlord's office, Judy rushed in and placed the key on her desk. "Thanks for the room, but I'm moving out."

"But you're paid to the end of month." She stated.

"It's fine. Here's the address to forward my deposit to. Thank you for the room!" Judy exclaimed heading out the door.

Entering the station, Judy and Nick were greeting a few of their fellow officers until Clawhauser eagerly waved them over to the front desk.

"Bunny Buddy! Slick Nick! Over here!"

"What's up?" Judy asked, bounding to the top of his desk while Nick let his head rest on his arms.

"What's happening bud?"

"You might wanna head over to the chiefs office, right away. You have a visitor." He suggested, while Nick and Judy both glanced up. Opening the door, Judy and Nick caught sight of a giant polar bear, one which Nick immediately recognized.

"Raymond!?" Nick exclaimed. Raymond huffed and looked down to Frufru who was sitting on the desk in tears with her baby.

"Frufru!" Judy cried out, rushing over. "Oh Frufru, what happened!?"

"It's..It's." She whimpered a few times. "Daddies been moidered!"

"What?!" Judy gasped, while Nick's jaw nearly found the floor.

"It seems it's true." Bogo stated. "Montador Big is dead. Frufru, Raymond and I have been talking for a bit, but they won't say much unless we can guarantee her some amnesty."

"Oh Frufru, you poor thing! Is the baby ok?" She said, cuddling Frufru into her cheek.

"Yeah, my little Judy's shaken but she's ok."

"You really named her after me." Judy smiled, a tear nearly breaking from her eye. "Oh I love her little dress!"

"Thank you! Judy, please, ya gautta help us. Frankie is trying to get things settled with the family but, I'd die if anything happened to my baby." Judy gave her a much more reassuring hug.

"Of course, the ZPD will protect you, right chief?"

"Frufru Big is a valuable asset so yes, of course. Assuming we'll have cooperation from the family in regards to our investigation." Bogo stated, glancing to Raymond.

"We ain't sayin nothing till we get guaranteed protection." He refuted.

"Well Raymond, time is a factor in these cases and the longer it takes us to strike a deal, the longer it will take to deal with the threat to Mrs. Big." He countered.

"Anything we can do in the meantime?" Nick offered.

"Yes, actually." Bogo acknowledged, handing folder over to Nick. "An old friend of yours I assume." Nick opened up to see a picture of Flash.

"Oh boy."

"After finding out about Oshu, I tried to get in contact with Wolford but I haven't had any luck. Flash is an incredibly competitive street racer, and since the two of you are friends, I'd like you to enlist his help in finding out where any races may be happening."

"Well, this should be fun." Nick half smiled, licking his teeth.

"We're on it Chief." Judy stood upright and saluted.

"No, you're not." Bogo dismissed. "This kind of thing is more Nick's element and the presence of an officer of note such as yourself in an illegal street race would raise far too many alarms."

"Hmm." Nick pondered for a moment. "I may have a solution for that." He smiled up to Bogo.

Nick and Judy were set across from Flash at a patio table near a cafe. They had both changed out of uniform, dressed casual with Nick back in his usual green shirt and tie and Judy in a pink plaid shirt and blue jeans.

"So....Nick...What..Favor..Did...You...Need." Flash questioned ever so slowly.

"Relax buddy, it's just nice to catch up for a bit too. Oh and Judy hun?" Nick turned to her. "Grab us three double espressos, please." He offered with a couple of twenties in his hand. Judy rolled her eyes and snatched them up, heading to the counter. Nick leaned in a little closer to Flash and whispered. "That trick work for ya?"

"Yeah...They...Let...me...off...with-a...minor....driving...offense...but...I...will....lose my...licence....next...time."

"Huh, I'll see if I can't soften Bogo up a bit, get the demerits off your record." Nick offered. Flash slowly smiled.

"That....would...be...great....Nick...Thanks...bud."

"Here ya go." Judy announced, placing the trey before them. Nick pushed all three toward Flash and smiled.

"I think you know what I want ya to do now." Nick smiled. Flash's face slowly sagged at the sight before him.

"Pricilla...will...kill...me....if....I....do...this....again."

"Flash ol buddy, you know I wouldn't push ya for it if it wasn't important." Nick insisted. Taking a very long slow sigh, he gradually picked up each little glass bringing it close to his mouth for a sip. Judy watched impatiently tapping her fingers on the table.

"Relax Carrots, all things in good time." He smiled. Judy threw up her brow, wondering what Nick and Flash were really up to. Finally finishing up the third cup, Flash gradually placed it down and slowly blinked. "Perfect, good job bud. Let's let that simmer for a sec while we get some food." He explained getting up from his chair.

"There's a point to all this I hope." Judy questioned.

"You'll see." Nick stated. Nick approached the counter and ordered two blueberry muffins and a tuna sandwich while Judy ordered a garden salad and tall Ice tea. After getting their food together and settling back at the table, Nick smiled and pushed the muffin to Flash. "Treats on me."

"Thanks Nick." He swiftly replied, Judy let a lettuce leaf fall from her lips in awe at the speed of his reply.

"Alright Flash, here's the thing. We need to know the location of any street races coming up."

"Nick, come on. You know I'm out of that. One more race and I don't have a car anymore." He protested at a rather normal speaking speed. Judy still locked in her spellbound demeanor while Nick carried on.

"Look, we aren't going dressed as cops obviously, I just need a location. We're trying to get in contact with someone in particular."

"How are you going to hide her? She's famous around town." Flash warned.

"I think I got that covered. You know the body art place?" Nick suggested.

"Not a bad idea, but you'll need a bit more than that to convince them." Flash advised. Nick smiled in his coy little manner and replied.

"Trust me, I got it. Just tell me where we can find a race tonight. I know you know." Nick insisted leaning in a bit closer. Flash sighed and looked around.

"They're usually on Wednesday's Fridays and Saturdays. The location changes but on nights like tonight, it's usually in Sahara Square. Drag style. Got a feeling the drift races on Saturday are cancelled though until they fix up Tundratown." Flash explained.

"Got it. I know it's a lot to ask but, think you could get us in?" Nick pleaded.

"Well. Ok, but you owe me one, Nick. I mean it this time." Flash insisted.

"Remember, I'll talk with Bogo."

"Alright I'm in. Meet back here, 10:00. Don't be late." Flash warned.

"Got it. Thanks bud, I love ya, I owe ya!"

Nick scooped up his sandwich and muffin while Judy cleared out the last of her salad, tossing the bowl into the garbage as they walked away. Punching his arm she fumed walking by his side.

"You knew how to get him to speed up that whole time we were at the DMV!" She shouted. Nick coolly played it off and smiled down.

"Hun, I didn't even know you by name, let alone about to share that little secret." Judy tried to interject but Nick cut her off. "And, not like I was carrying around espresso with me."

"We could have stopped. We could have stopped at every single coffee shop in the city at that point." Judy countered.

"I had other motives, what can I say." Nick brushed off with a smile.

Nick and Judy soon found themselves in the backroom of a rather peculiar salon. Inside animals were getting their bodies sprayed in different shades and colors; on the wall they could spot displays of patterns, images, logos and hairstyles they offered. In the back though was the changing area, preceded by a large room built much like a shower where they did most of the spraying. Judy was behind the shudders of a changing room while Nick was parked outside, watching the clothes flip over the door.

"Do I have to be naked for this?" She whined from behind the door.

"It's an undercover job, Carrots. It's gotta look authentic so yes, you be naked." He smiled.

"Promise you won't look?" She bashfully requested, peeking from the door. Nick glanced over, keeping his usual calm smile.

"If there's anyone you should be comfortable being naked around, it's me." He suggested.

"Not exactly how I imagined you seeing me naked though." She chuckled. Nick gracefully pushed himself off the wall and headed toward Judy's changing room. "Nick, no no no!" She silently protested as he walked through the door. Judy covered up her more delicate areas while Nick fixed his warm little smile on her. Taking hold of her arm, he gently placed it on his side and pulled her in for a hug.

"Carrots, you look beautiful. I mean that." Judy just giggled into his chest and ground her head on him.

"Aww, Nick."She cooed, as Nick slid his hands down her thighs.

"Sheesh, feel those things. No wonder you bunnies can jump." He playfully commented. Judy giggled helplessly while lightly pushing him away.

"Nick stop! You silly fox."

"Could clear a building if we had a trampoline." Judy just kept giggling away while Nick felt up her thighs.

"Hopps, Judy!" A voice called from the spray room.

"That's my cue." She sighed, pushing the doors open and cautiously heading in. Inside the room, a coyote girl with multiple piercings in her left ear and covered in a clear smock was waiting. She strapped on goggles and smiled, the gum in her mouth nearly spitting out as she spoke.

"Hey there! Well, going all in huh girl?"

"Yeah, first time too." Judy replied, still keeping herself covered. The girl waved it off with a psh sound and laughed.

"Well first, my names Candice, I'm the artist who'll be doing your body paint today." She greeted, reaching for Judy's hand to shake it. "So we're doing to do a base along with basic soft color coating first, then the full spray and then detailing ok?" Candace was gesturing with her hands, as she explained. "Now, you want all the grey gone, right?"

"Yeah."

"Ok, and then we'll give it some depth along the back here, make it a little darker, we can even get crazy if you want, give it a little tiger striping, huh?" Candace suggested playfully.

"Totally go for the striping." Nick suggested from behind.

"Nick!" Judy glanced back.

"Hey buddy, boyfriends wait up front, ok? This is girl time, vamoose!" Candace shooed away.

"You're the boss." Nick consented, fleeing the scene.

"Does this stuff wash out?" Judy wondered.

"Oh totally! You guys requested washable, right?" Candace assured her.

"Nick did most of it; I've never really done this kind of thing."

"Washes out with shampoo and hot water. That's why we do the base coating first, the stuff we use for that prevents it from seeping into the fur. If we did no base and just straight up color, it wouldn't come out for weeks." She explained.

"Ok neat." Judy smiled, feeling a little more bold.

"Alright, well lets set to it hunny bunny."

After about an hour, Judy came out from the back of the salon, bouncing her way to the front desk alongside Candace with a smile. Judy's fur looked light brown now, along with her natural white fur. Near the back of her head it seemed to get darker, even showing hints of a few stripes.

"Thank you so much, that was actually fun!" Judy exclaimed.

"Told ya! He's gonna love the color, some of my best work if I say so myself." Candace complimented. Judy paid for the spray job, all the while Nick smiling in his seat near the window. Judy came bounding over and spun around in front of him.

"So, what do you think?"

"Well look at you, a sweet chocolate bunny!" He chuckled.

"Haha, very funny."

"Come on, we got one more stop to make." Nick stated, taking her hand and heading out the door. They walked down the street a ways and entered into Felinity Secret; Inside were quite a few pieces that were rather revealing. Judy looked around and was not impressed by what she was seeing.

"Nick, why did you bring me here?" She glared up to him.

"Time to be honest?" He glanced down with a shy smile.

"Now's a good time, yeah."

"Look, I'll level with ya." He swung around and kneeled in close to Judy. "There's only three types of girls that show up to street races." He indicated with his fingers raised. "Racers, pit crew or eye candy."

"You're bringing me as eye candy!?" She nearly shouted, stomping the ground.

"Ah da-da-da, easy. Look, I'm being serious here. Judy Hopps showing up as a racer in disguise, somewhat predictable. Judy showing up as eye candy with Flash and me, impossible. That's kind of the point of going undercover and trust me this is one cover you don't want to blow. Odds are if we meet up with Wolford there, he's going to be with Oshu and his crew. Everything has to be spot on, authentic." Judy grumbled, but she had to admit he was right. Judy was something of a clean icon for the city, so for her to show up as eye candy would be way out of character.

"Fine, I'll go along with this little plan of yours, but something tells me you're enjoying this just a little too much." She pointed out, pressing on his chest.

"Ow, sprain Carrots."

"Oh shoot, sorry." She silently apologised, folding her ears back.

"But yeah, it is kind of fun."

"Ah ha."

"Hey, you pushed me from hustler to cop; we can at least pretend it's going the other way." He replied. Judy started walking alongside him in the store and smiled.

"Right, so you want me to be a hustler?" She asked, glancing over the clothes on the racks.

"Just the attitude."

"Attitude." Judy pondered, looking around. With a grin she spotted something she felt covered that quite well. "Got it."

Flash pulled up to the restaurant they had met at before. He was right on time, 10:00 on the dot. But when he rolled down the window, the sight before him surprised him as his jaw slowly slacked open wide. Judy stood there in a black lace short skirt that rode up on an angle to her left hip, clasped with a silver ring. Along her chest a black lace top, lined with a thin silver chain, pieces of which dangled at the center of her chest. She also wore a pair of dark sunglasses, her ears draped back and sucking on a lollipop. Nick was even dressed differently, he was wearing a white shirt, no buttons that draped a bit over his tan cargo pants. He kept a pair of work gloves in his pocket as well that were sticking out and looked pretty well groomed.

"Wow.... Now....this....should...be....fun." Flash smiled.

"You got this, Carrots?" Nick questioned softly. Judy gave a quick hum and walked toward the car door.

"Hello? Could at least get the door for me!" She complained. Nick just smiled; quite pleased with the fact she was sticking to character.

"My bad." Nick rushed over and opened the door, pushing the seat back and helped her in.

"It's Candy by the way, call me Carrots again and I'll show you where to stick em." She smiled.

"Yes ma'am." Nick chuckled getting in. "Alright Flash, do your thing."

"Buckle....up...Candy...this is... going...to...be...fast." Flash advised and with that he was flying through the streets and headed toward Sahara Square. "Is...that...really....Judy?" He asked.

"The hell's Judy?" She retorted, spitting out her lollipop.

"She's been like this since we left the apartment. She warned me that her years of drama classes taught her it helps to stay in character as long as you're in costume. So she's staying in character." Nick explained.

"Good...idea." Flash complimented. Pulling out onto the Beach Promenade, the trio were treated to a boatful of eye candy. The area was laid out with cars and stands strewn in a massive circle, surrounding the roadway. Some selling clothes and accessories while others were rigged up as bars, mini fridges with drinks inside with a few bottles for mixing. Girls of all breeds were dancing on the circular center stage in the middle while music from the DJ booth and several cars were blasting. The smell of sea water seemed mixed with burning rubber along with a barrage of perfumes and colognes. The road was being sprayed for a starting line as Flash parked beside a pure black car. Nick cracked his knuckles and opened the door, pushing the seat back to let Judy out, guiding her by holding her hand. She stepped out, swaying her hip to the right and looking the place over. She couldn't get a good sighting on Wolford so decided to play along a bit more. Strutting over to Flash she leaned on the car.

"Hey Flash!" A young buck called out, rushing over with a doe on his arm. "What's up slow-bro."

"Hey...Tyler."

"Who's this hot little thing?" Tyler nodded toward Judy.

"Candy." She briefly greeted. Judy was still somewhat busy surveying the area and saw the elevated dance floor up ahead that would make a solid look out. "Hey Flashy baby."

"Yeah?"

"I wanna go dance, have some fun." She playfully requested, running a finger down his chest. Nick didn't look all too pleased, but did his best to keep in mind she was just playing up her role.

"By...all-means." He agreed.

"Hey Kayla, why don't you make yourself useful, show the girl to the stage." Tyler insisted, slapping Kayla's backside.

"You got it baby. Come on, Candy let's go party."

"Hey boss, need me to fix up anything?" Nick requested.

"No... It's-fine.... grab...a...drink.." Flash suggested. Nick found his way over to a stand and picked up a beer from the bar and popped the top. Turning to the stage he watched as Judy was up there, dancing away with Kayla. Guys from all around hollering and offering up cat calls, shouting take it off and shake that ass. Judy seemed to be loving it until her eyes turned to Nick. She kept her focused locked on him and swung back to back with Kayla, grinding down and back up, running her hands sensually over her ears. With a giggle she turned away and cut across the stage. Judy scoured the area and caught her breath in her throat. It was Wolford alright, and right beside him was Oshu, leaning on a red and white muscle car. Judy found her way back to Kayla and grabbed her leg.

"I'ma grab a drink, you want anything?"

"If you're buying!" Kayla laughed, still dancing away. Judy leapt from the stage, a few passersby smiling and ogling her. She approached the bar and leaned with her elbows resting on the counter.

"You gonna buy me a drink, or what?" Judy scolded Nick.

"What'll you have?" He asked.

"Don't care. You're payin for it." She laughed, looking back toward the stage. "By the way get something sweet for my friend up there." Nick threw up his brow as he turned to the Impala bartender.

"Hey pal, I'll have margarita, tall for the doe on the stage and uh, give this sweet little thing a shot of rainforest harmony." Nick ordered handing him some cash. The bartender mixed the two drinks and put them on down. Nick pushed the little glass to Judy and smiled. "Enjoy honey."

"What's in this?"

"Rainforest harmony? Where's the fun in telling you, it should taste like soda with a good kick." He explained.

"Huh." Judy pondered, drinking the shot in one gulp. Her face contorted as she gasped and coughed a bit.

"Aww come on now baby, it's a strong one I know." Nick smiled stroking her back.

"Strong." She agreed, suddenly pushing him up against the bar, she put a leg up over his waist. "And good enough to get you dance, fox." Leaning in for a kiss, she dodged it and grabbed hold of the other drink and smiled while Nick was stuck there puckered. "First things first." Judy pushed his muzzle away and took his hand, rushing toward the stage. "Kayla baby!"

"Candy! Oh sweet! I love margaritas! Thanks honey bunny!"

"I'm gonna go dance with this chump for a while, you good?" Judy asked.

"I'm good hun, go have fun!" Judy pulled Nick around the stage and held him close, grinding on his belly and thighs she played up the role well. Swinging around she whispered.

"Just behind us, see him?" Nick glanced over and spotted Wolford and Oshu chatting.

"Give it a minute, we'll see if they split up." He whispered back. They carried on dancing for a bit longer before finally Oshu was pulled away. He dove into his car and headed toward the starting line with a small crowd following along. Flash it seemed was joining in as well, along with two other racers. Wolford had popped the hood of his car and was taking a look inside. "Now."

"Alright, you had your fun." Judy said aloud. "You want more, you get me something nice."

"You got it, sexy." He smiled, slapping her backside. Nick casually strolled over to Wolford's car and spoke up. "Having some engine trouble?" Nick took out his gloves and parked his hands on the bumper.

"What are you doing here?" Wolford whispered.

"We haven't seen ya around for a while. Just getting a little worried." Nick tried to play off, keeping his voice down.

"No ears here, relax." Wolford whispered, putting his hands in his pocket and turning toward the crowd. "So if you're here, that means you were probably stupid enough to bring her."

"Why don't you try picking her out of the crowd?" Nick suggested casually, taking the same pose as Wolford. He scoured the crowd but wasn't having any luck. There were a few rabbits in the mix, but no grey haired ones at all.

"Left her at home, smart."

"Guess again hot shot." He corrected. "But we need a check in."

"Well I've been having some trouble with this stupid cool air intake. It's been fucking up lately pretty bad, can you take a look?" Wolford said a little louder.

"Let's see." Nick agreed, pulling out his gloves and checking under the hood.

"See the fittings over here? I think something messed up in them, feels loose." He explained, dropping a small flash drive on the intake. Nick scooped it up and slid it into his glove.

"Yeah, it's not quite flush with the engine, you gotta tighten this up or it's gonna be a serious problem." Nick explained.

"Huh, I think you're right."

"Howitzer!" A racoon shouted from behind. "Boss is lookin for you, the fuck is this guy?"

"Relax Baxter he's a friend." Wolford replied.

"Names Andrew." Nick greeted, extending his left hand. "I'm a mechanic friend of Flash's."

"Well beat it, we didn't ask for your help." He bellowed, smacking Nick's hand away.

"Whateves, Flash is already off to the races so I'm gonna grab a drink. Have fun Howitzer."

"Later Andrew." He nodded.

Psych and a black panther pulled up outside of an apartment building, just a few blocks away from city hall. Like many of Oshu's crew, he was driving a dark blue sports car, finned spoiler and jet black rims. Psych was clad in a black hoodie and pants, his face once again veiled with a bandana, while his partner simply wore a black t-shirt and jeans.

"You good?" The panther whispered as Psych sighed in dismay.

"Aiden for the last time, I'm fine."

"Just making sure, you've been on edge ever since the Mr. Big job." He noted, patting Psych's shoulder.

"I'll be fine." Psych assured him. Aiden threw up a brow and locked the door, preventing Psych from getting out. Throwing his head back on the headrest he huffed and turned to Aiden.

"What's going on in that head of yours?" Aiden insisted. "If you can't trust me, who can you trust?" Psych groaned wiping his face before replying.

"I suppose I thought wiping out that rodent would give me some form of solace. There's a few loose ends in this city I want to wrap up. But none of it will matter if we don't pull this job off soon." He explained.

"It's getting worse isn't it?" Aiden questioned, fixing his gaze ahead once more.

"I've had to use more and more pain killers, yes." He confessed.

"Oshu still in the dark?"

"He doesn't know, and it's staying that way." Psych affirmed.

"Look, I agreed to come with you to watch your back. But I need you to be real with me if you're getting too weak." Aiden stated, grabbing hold of Psych's shoulder. "Cancer's not a joke, and you know I can handle jobs like this now."

"You are a good student." Psych nodded, patting his paw. "But if there's one thing you should have learned, is that I can be a stubborn old bastard."

"That's day one shit right there." Aiden and Psych laughed, letting him go. "Alright, go ahead. You holler at me though if you run into trouble."

"Will do." Psych agreed. Leaping from the car, Psych found his way toward city hall and aimed toward the back of the building. In behind the building was a parking lot that fed its way into an underground garage that had its shutters closed. The gaps in between were just enough that with a bit of effort and sucking in his belly, Psych squeezed through. He noted the camera bubbles a bit further ahead and hugged the walls, steadily finding his way toward a service door near the main entrance to the building. Using the same strip of malleable metal he slid it into the lock on the handle. A few twists and turns later, he opened the door and slowly closed it behind him.

The room was incredibly dark, cables strewn on the ground and no shortage of cobwebs lingering around. He turned on his phone and set it for night vision and surveyed the room in more detail. It was quite a bit larger than he anticipated, old boxes, likely records were strewn about the floor and warehouse shelving holding a few spare plumbing pieces, damaged mops and buckets and a few hoses. But along the back wall he could see his target. A power box and right in beside it a bundle of networking cables fixed into a grey steel box.

"This is the old lines." He whispered to himself. "These should be the ones running to the shelter, so where are the new ones." Cautiously he walked the room until he found himself at the door leading into the basement of city hall. Carefully peering through, he scanned the ceiling for cameras and much to his relief, spotted nothing there. "Lazy shits; can't even protect your own basement." He eased the door close and crept down the hall into a small room on the right. Inside were more server racks, these ones well lit and in a tangled mess of cables. Nearby he spotted a computer terminal and with a good crack of his knuckles, jumped on and started searching. Opening up the network configuration menu, he looked for anything that matched the hub he was using back at the shelter. Several networks were showing green, with a couple blinking orange and the rest red for disconnected. "TTID-894, SCID-615. Come on, where are you." Taking out his phone again, he double checked the number he needed and scanned the list again. "There." He smiled. "RFDID-910, perfect. Reconnect." Psych waited, watching it as it went from connecting to updating and finally connected. "Perfect." Without wasting any time, he rushed toward the service room and with his phone to guide him, found his way to the garage.

Once outside, he hugged the walls once more, easing his way toward the gate. Within the last few strides however, he felt his side begin to ache. Pushing himself out through the gate, he rushed along the side of the building, the pain getting worse and worse. "Shit, come on. Not much further." He groaned. Clearing city hall it only got worse, shooting pains up alongside his chest and upward into his throat. It was becoming too much to bare, staggering as he finally caught sight of Aiden's car. Panting heavily and grasping the light poles he staggered helplessly down the street, Aiden jumped out of the car and rushed to him.

"Psych! You hit?!"

"No." He groaned. "My bag, in the car. I need the meds, now!" Aiden scooped up Psych and opened the door, dumping the fox in the front seat. Aiden made haste to the driver's side and jumped in, leaning into the back and grabbing the bag, dropping it on Psych's lap. "Thank you." He moaned. Shuffling through it, he opened up a small bottle and took three white tablets with a swig of bottled water.

"You gonna be alright?" He asked, pulling out onto the road.

"Don't mention it."

"I mean it, not just for tonight. For helping me with this last job." Psych restated.

"You're welcome." He replied, patting Psych's shoulder.
