Chapter 15: S. O. S.! Virus Evolution.

First off I don't own any chars in Digimon series, but I do own Alphonse aka Al. I apologize first hand if there are any spelling and grammar errors because English is my second language. I also thank you for those woh fave all the series so far. Anything else, please enjoy.
Chapter 15: S. O. S.! Virus Evolution.
"SHADOW...NOOO!!!" Al tried to warn again but it was too late. When ShadowWolf made an impact with the infected Tokomon, a strong shockwave burst out from it and push ShadowWolf and Al quite far from it.
Al regained his balance and looked for ShadowWolf and he was not far from him. Al approach ShadowWolf and tried to analyze him. He looked at his health meter and it was cut by half, "Shadow... ShadowWolf, are you okay? Answer me if you were still there."
ShadowWolf regain his conscious. "Yeah, I'm fine. But what the heck was that just now?"
Al looked at the infected Tokomon that slowly began to dismantle into millions of data. "It is not the time to explain everything. We need to hide from it right now."
ShadowWolf looked confuse by Al's reaction. "Wha... What are you talking about?" Al tried to run ahead first then looked back again to ShadowWolf.
"LET'S MOVE OR THE VIRUS WILL SEE US WHERE WE ARE!" Al shouted at ShadowWolf trying to make him understand a bit but failed. "Alright, I'll explain while we run so let's run away from it."
ShadowWolf began to follow him. "Okay what the heck is that thing?"
Al began to explain while running and looking for a place to hide. "What you saw back then is a virus. I don't know what kind of virus is that but somehow I can see it when anybody can't. This virus can altered our status, skills even our life; and I hope that is all. Hide in the bushes, quick!" ShadowWolf and Al jumped to the nearest bushes and stay low.
Al peeked around a bit then return to his hiding. "Alright, I'm going to call for help, you keep an eye on things."
"Can we just log out or call the admin to report for this?"
Al began to remove his goggles and reach for his D-Terminal and quickly search for the letters to use. "We can't call out. No voice or howl can reach out from this place. We are completely sealed off until this place was fixed or that thing is killed. And another thing, don't let that virus hit you."
"What about those who enter this place by accident or coincidence?" ShadowWolf asked while keep an eye for the virus.
"That I do not know." ‘Come on... Come on...' he thought while typing three specific letters numerous time and then send it to Takato. "There. I hope he knows what it meant." Al put back his goggles. "Did you find it?"
"No. As a matter of fact I don't know what to look for since only you can see it."
"Alright I'll take a peek." Al looked around to see the virus and he saw one of it flew around but in a different form. "Ooo... crap. ShadowWolf, you've been here before right?"
"Yeah, why did you ask?"
"What kind of Digimons that wandering around this mountain?"
"Well as far as I remember, there are Tokomon, Veemon, Patamon, Hawkmon, Monodramon and Gotsumon. At least that is what I see so far."
"Then what kind of Digimon that had six wings, white and blue and wear a helmet?"
ShadowWolf looked confuse with Al's description and slowly looked at the direction where Al saw that Digimon. "Alright, that Digimon shouldn't be here in the first place. That Digimon is called Angemon, a champion type Digimon and like I said it shouldn't be here because this place only for beginners like us so it is swarms with rookies and in-trains form."
Al looked around more while listen his explanation then he looked up. "Right and if there are a champion form in this place, how many are they?"
"Not many say around five or six. Why did you ask?"
"Because I saw two more and they spotted us. RUN!" Al warned and then ran away from the bushes and ShadowWolf followed. A moment later two Angemon approach from above, both of them ready their fist and lunge toward them. Both of them saw it and try to distract the Angemons. ShadowWolf unleashed a strong black fire from his mouth and howled "BLACK BUSTER!" while Al use his "PEPPER BREATH!" Both of them used their skills numerous times before the Angemons reach them, thinking at least one of the projectiles hit it and get distracted but alas the Angemons dodge all the projectiles and keep on charging. One of the Angemons lunges his attack toward ShadowWolf and it is a direct hit. ShadowWolf was shock and remember about Al's warning, but somehow he felt nothing and it was pure luck. The second Angemon charge toward ShadowWolf again and Al move between them to protect ShadowWolf from anymore damage. Al got a critical hit from the Angemon and altered all of his status, levels and skills; he didn't realize it because he was knocked out.
ShadowWolf looked at fear and horror seeing that Al had been hit real hard by a virus which may alter everything. He began to tremble and intend to ran away leaving Al behind but his heart tell the opposite. ShadowWolf slowly approach the motionless Al and kneel down to grab him. Al's body felt like dead and slowly degenerating into data, that makes him more afraid. "Al, can you hear me? Speak to me."
"I'm fine." Al said in typing whisper.
ShadowWolf read it and felt his heart have been lifted. "What happened?"
"I got hit by the virus and right now it altered my PC. Somehow I can't move my PC as if I'm dead in that place. Please tell me what happened?"
"Yo-your body started to turn into data like that Tokomon before but the strange is the data is still gathering around your body."
"It looks like I won't make it. You have to leave me here and save yourself until helps arrive."
"But I can't leave you... What will happen to you? You said it yourself that it can alter everything even with our life and if you were killed in this game, I don't want to know afterward. I don't want you to die because if you die it will be my fault." He said it with a sobbing guilt.
"Hmph... this is the first time I heard those words in my entire life even though it is just a game. But still you have to run so you won't get infected by the virus completely. Now GO!"
ShadowWolf began to stand up still sobbing and looked at the Angemons that slowly moving towards them with their staff ready. ShadowWolf began to aimed one of them and shoot his Black Buster on them.
Al was completely surprise by his action then whisper type him again. "What the hell are you DOING?! I told you to RUN, not to protect me!"
Al didn't hear any respond and ShadowWolf keep yelling Black Buster toward the herd of Angemons. Al received ShadowWolf's reply with whisper type. "Sorry. It is my old habit." Al's eyes widen as if he know that ShadowWolf will sacrifice his life for him. ‘No... No, no, no, NO! You shouldn't let yourself killed because of me.' Al's will to protect is burning up and somehow the Digivice detect it and channel it to his PC. Since the PC is still infected and the body is still a gathered data, it started to analyze and scan. Al saw his PC body slowly growing bigger and bigger. Its arms, legs and tail grew longer; its index claw grew a strong finger claw and its head and muzzle is covered by helmet with three horns on it. Al is completely surprise by its new appearance. He looked at the status and the name of the race has change into GeoGreymon. Al looked at the skills and saw a new list of skills.
Al was simply amazed by the skills, form and status when this PC changed. ‘This is so cool. The statuses were greater than rookies, there are more skills than the rookies and it is huge. I've got to remember the name and how to make my PC change into this form.' His trains of thought were crashed again when he heard an explosion and remember that ShadowWolf was fighting with a pact of Angemons alone. He quickly set all the skills in the quick buttons, closed all the menus and ready for action.
ShadowWolf is still battling against the pact of Angemons, using all of his energy to unleash numerous time of Black Buster. Most of the blast was a direct hit but it didn't have any effect as if their energy were recovered instantly. The only way to defeat all of them is to kill it with one blow but ShadowWolf didn't have that kind of strength and to make it worst, he is almost out of energy. ShadowWolf can see that the Angemons gave him a small snicker. ‘That's it for me, I'm all out. Man I should follow his advice in the first place, but me and my stupid old habit. Guess this is goodbye; it is nice knowing you Albino, too bad that I didn't get the chance to know your real name.'
ShadowWolf slowly closed his eyes counting down his lifespan before the Angemons finish him off. He keeps on waiting and counting, thinking all the good times he spent while still alive. Al intends to try one of his new skills but he didn't want to hit ShadowWolf so he yelled with a soared voice, "GET OUT OF THE WAY, SHADOW!" ShadowWolf was surprise by that warning and yet he oblige. He moved to his left quickly giving Al the opening he needed. Al aimed at the Angemons and unleashed his new skill called "MEGA BURST!" Energy formed in its muzzle and then unleashed it in form of a ray. The ray hit at least two or three Angemons and shattered into millions of data.
ShadowWolf was amaze by the ray because it killed the Angemons in an instant. But what make him curious is who is using it and who warned him before. He turned around to see the user and there stood a huge orange dinosaur with blue stripes, wearing a horned helmet and white wristband. He didn't recognize the user at first then he looked for Al and saw nothing. He remembered that where the dinosaur stood is where Al collapse; so just to make sure he looked at the dinosaur's eyes and it was pure white like Al. ShadowWolf was stunned by Al's appearance, "Albino, is that you?"
All Al did is to reply with his new soared voice, "Yes it is me." Al was very glad to see that ShadowWolf is safe and uninfected by the virus but ShadowWolf is still amazed by Al's new appearance. Al felt uneasy and awkward when ShadowWolf looked at him, "I think you should find a safe place to hide."
ShadowWolf was snapped from his trance and replied Al with a nod. ShadowWolf ran passes Al and hide behind one of the boulder. Al saw that one or two Angemons intend to chase ShadowWolf and unleash the second new skill called "MEGA FLAME!" A large flame burst out from its muzzle and headed toward the Angemons. Al didn't stop there. He continued to use the Mega Flame to create a fire wall. After the fire wall is created, he unleashed another Mega Burst from left to right. Al saw most of the Angemons were killed while some flew away avoiding the blast. After finishing his shot, he lunges toward the Angemons that flew low. He grabbed one of the Angemons and throws it to the mountain wall. Al saw another Angemon began its assault. He turned around quickly to avoid and counter the Angemon with the tail. The Angemon got hit and flew toward the mountain wall and collide with the Angemon that has been thrown. Al did not waste his time so he charge toward the two Angemons on the wall using his third skill called "HORN IMPULSE!" The helmet glow dimly after saying the skill's name. Al keeps on charging forward without doubts smashing the Angemons with his helmet making a slight indent at the wall. The Angemons got a critical hit and killed in an instant.
Al turned around to see the rest of the Angemons, "Alright, who will be next?" Al counted the remaining of the Angemons and there are six left. The Angemons nodded to each other and then form pairing groups. When the Angemons touch each hand, the pairs were merging and transforming into a new form. Its helmet grew taller like arch bishop, on his right hand hold a light-purple crystal sword, on its left hold a light purple crystal shield that as long as its arm. The wings grew one more pair and its torso is wrapped up with golden scarf with several insignia seal.
ShadowWolf saw the transformation and warned Al, "Be careful. That is MagnaAngemon, an ultimate form from Patamon. Its weapon can deflect even mega attacks and to make it worst is the Gate of Destiny that can sucks and shoot a beam from it."
Al nodded in response and keeps an eye on the MagnaAngemons. Two of them began its assault by lunging toward Al. Al readied himself with Mega Burst and aim toward the MagnaAngemons. By the time he was ready the two MagnaAngemons were gone from sight. "WHAT!" Al was completely distracted by their disappearance and then he felt a sharp pain at his left arm. He looked at it and saw a cut wound. "What the... they were fast!" by the time he knew the reason of their disappearance more cut wounds appeared in random places. Al keeps on defending from the high speed attacker increasing more damages to his body. ‘If this keeps up, I might not have the strength to fight back. I've got to think a way to stop their movements.' Al looked around to find something that can stop their movements but all he saw is nothing more than just boulders and rocks. ‘Of course!' Al thought then began to use Horn Impulse on the boulders and smack it to the sky with tail. The MagnaAngemons were caught in surprise and hold up their shield to block the upcoming boulders.
Al found the chances and prepared the Mega Burst. Al focused at one of the MagnaAngemons and shot three Mega Burst. The first one hit on the right shoulder, the second one is on the left hip and the last one is the center of the chest. The MagnaAngemon is dead and shattered into data like others. The other one flew back to its last companion. Both of them nodded almost simultaneously and raised their sword. Both of them form a large circle with their sword and a large golden shield appears.
Al didn't know what kind of shield is that until the shield slowly open as if it was a gate. Slowly he felt like something drag him closer to the gate. "What the... it's a black hole!" Al began to turn around and run toward anything that sturdy enough to hold him. Al tried to use Mega Burst to the gate but every time he aimed at the frame of the gate the line of fire has been curved into the gate. The suction become stronger and stronger by time and Al began to struggle to hold on. ‘If this keeps up I will be sucked in and not just me, ShadowWolf as well. Where are they?' Al beginning to lose hope since there is no sign of the rescue team all what's left is to dig his claw more deeper to the boulder and closed his eyes. Then he heard two voices from afar and afterwards an explosion can be heard. Al slowly opened his eyes and saw a familiar form. It was Angewomon using her Light Blessing to protect him. "Gatomon, is that you?" He asked in a soar voice. The Angewomon simply nodded without looking at Al since she is focusing her barrier. Al looked at the sky looking for MagnaAngemons, but it was substitute by a blue Digimon with white wing; and also a red armor Digimon with blades on each arm.
Both of them slowly descending after the situation are clear. Angewomon saw them coming and she lowered her barrier. Al saw clearly the two new faces. The blue one is tall and had white parts on his lower muzzle, torso and abdomen. It had an X marking on its chest and on its upper muzzle lies a blade-like horn with V marking in yellow. The red one had its muzzle covered with a metallic mask. Its torso was covered in a heavy armor and its arms had a large side blade like an axe. It also had a strange marking which quite familiar to Al. Al looked at the red armor Digimon remembering the marking that he saw before and ask, "Guil...mon, is that you?"
The red armor Digimon replied, "Yes, it is me, Al. Right now, I'm MetalGrowlmon."
"So, is this the new guy that I heard of?" asked the blue Digimon.
"Yes he is, Ex." Angewomon replied while holding Al's weak body.
"Who is this, Angewomon?" Al asked with a weak tone.
"Al, allow me to introduced one of your partners," said Angewomon. "Right now, his name is ExVeemon. He's Davis's partner and my ex-boyfriend." Al was completely in shock when he heard ex-boyfriend. Speaking of boy-‘friend' Al remembered ShadowWolf.
He looked around to saw ShadowWolf. "Shadow... Angewomon, did you see a BlackGabumon around here? He is here with me before this incident happened."
"Do not worry because I found him." Al heard another familiar voice then looked at the owner of this timid voice and it was Antylamon. Al looked around him and saw ShadowWolf on his left side. Al smiled that he is untouched and unharmed by the virus.
"Hey there, ShadowWolf, feeling alright; you're not hurt, are you?"
ShadowWolf shook his head and replied, "No, I'm okay thanks to you."
"I'm glad that you are okay. Now I can relax a little bit." Al slowly loose conscious and loose Angewomon's grip. Angewomon try to hold him up but to no avail and fell. MetalGrowlmon and ShadowWolf are in state of panic seeing Al slump on the ground unconscious.
"ALBINO!" "ALPHONSE!"
