Pongo didn't know what to say. What _was_there to say? Following his wife's scent he managed to emerge from the forest just in time to hear Perdita whimper, "Do it, you dirty Dobie. Pump my pussy full of pups!"

He darted behind the bushes, eyes wide as he saw Dex, the nature reserve's Doberman tour guide, lower his fat, red cock and jam it inside his wife's needy spade. He'd have loved an excuse - any excuse - but after what Perdie said, she knew exactly_what was going on, and her heat was certainly no excuse. Pongo had given her dozens of opportunities to slake her thirst with _him, and she'd evaded every attempt. He'd hoped this romantic getaway might end with his _own_pups inside his wife.

It still could. He was old, but he could still take the upstart Doberman! Send him yelping into the woods with his stub between his legs, and take Perdie then and there, whether she wanted it or not. He'd turned down Dex's sister, Meg, not moments before, only to find that Perdie didn't feel quite the same way. Maybe their marriage really _was_hopeless.

Watching the Doberman fucking his wife's swollen cunt and listening to their grunts and moans, Pongo instead tucked his _own_tail between his legs. Even if he _could_beat Dex in a fight, what would be the point? Perdie had clearly made her choice. Perhaps she'd loved him, once, and she'd given her first litter to the Dalmatian, but her second to Thunderbolt and her third to this random dog she'd just met.

"Dex!" she yelped, bucking her hips.

It was too much. He turned and fled the scene, leaving his wife to the lucky Doberman.

He didn't stop running until he could only barely hear the two barking and groaning, their eager voices echoing through the forest. There he sat, ears and tail drooping. It's not like he didn't deserve it. He'd cheated with Thunderbolt's mate, and even left her waddling fat with his own pups. But he'd hoped things might go back to normal once the truth came out for both of them. How could she hold that against him, when _she_herself gave birth to little shepherd mutts?

Or maybe she'd cheated then, and now, because she just didn't have feelings for him anymore. Well, he didn't need her! There was a bitch in heat just waiting for him in the mess hall. He could get back at Perdie _and_at Dex in one swoop. Pongo stood with a newfound purpose.

He didn't take three steps before it all came crashing down.

"Daddy?"

He turned to see Penny, the girl pup cocking her head. She must have seen him laying there so dejected and wondered what could have happened. "Dear..."

"Is somethin' wrong?"

He shook his head. "No, honey."

"Patch left, and then I was all alone and I couldn' fin' anyone and Roger and Anita's cabin is locked and you looked really upset..." she said in a rush.

"It's okay. Come here," he said, and she tumbled into his paws. "I didn't mean to scare you. It's just that...your mother and I are...working through some issues."

"Didja have a fight? I thought I hea'd her barking..."

"Sort of. But it's okay, now, I think we know where we stand."

"But you seem so sad," she protested, squirming in his grasp. She stared up at him, adding, "Can I make you feel betta?"

Pongo just grinned. "You already have done." Just holding his loving daughter in his arms had his tail wagging again. At least one good thing had come from his marriage. Fifteen, really. Sighing, he cocked his head. He smelled something on the air, and at first he wondered if Perdita had shown up. It smelled like heat, but...no...no, it was coming from Penny.

She really _had_grown. He still thought of her as a puppy, but she was almost a year old and, like the rest of the puppies, was going into her first heat. What a disaster that would be on the farm. At least most of the puppies could find _someone_they weren't related to.

"You smell'd it, innit?"

"What?" he asked, startled.

"My heat. Mum said we're all almost inna it and we should be careful not to let any of our brothers around."

"Is that what she said? Just your brothers?" Pongo had been quite clear with the boys that they were to stay away from_all_ the girls until marriage - it wouldn't work, of course, but it might slow some of them down.

"She said to pick a boy we liked the most and only to do what we felt comfortable with."

That was news to Pongo. If it were up to him, none of the pups would do anything with each other until he was dead and gone! Perdie had different ideas about how the girls should act. Yet another area of disagreement, and further evidence that Perdie wasn't especially keen on the bond of marriage.

"She din't say nofin' about fathers..." Penny added.
