Alright so welcome to the first story to kind of establish Dewby's house. In this story I'm working to set up Cassie and Dewby's room together, their relationship and Dewby's older brother and sister as well.

Also surprise! Dewby's mom and dad make an appearance briefly. Not that Sean and Katie are likely to be drawn or fully fleshed out any time soon.

But yeah~ Hope you enjoy one of my longest clean stories to date! and DAMN did I have a lot of opportunities to make it dirty >.> just saying.

Dewby sat up in his bed panting hard, eyes wide with a look of terror plastered across his face. The cool midnight air braced against him, sending a momentary shiver down the boy's spine. He looked around his room briefly, eyes catching faint outlines of the desk his computer sat on, the closet door and finally settling on the door leading out into the hallway - cracked open ever so slightly. He pushed the covers away, hoisting himself out of bed shakily as he shuffled out into the hallway. Once in the hallway bunny made his way into the bathroom, relieving one tension while outlining another as he passed the mirror.

In truth the last few nights had been hell for the boy, unable to sleep with nerves wracked by a near continuous string of nightmares, he looked horrific. His eyes had sunken in slightly, ears drooping as he slipped back out of the bathroom and into his for a moment. He briefly eyed his bed and rubbed his eyes a little before sighing heavily into the cool air. The rabbit's ears pivoted backward at the sounds of shuffling feet on the carpeting in the hallway.

"Dewby?"

The call had come from his older sister, the girl having stopped in the hall when met with the sight of her little brother standing in the middle of his room with the light on at such a late hour. She slipped into the bedroom behind the boy and gently laid her hand on his shoulder. "You okay lil guy?" she asked softly. Her brother's response was a brief shake of his head as he turned a bit and looked up at her. "Can't sleep?" another shake of the bunny's head. "Alright. Go hop in my bed, I'll be in there in a minute." she said quietly, leaning in to nuzzle his cheek before heading to the bathroom herself. Dewby shuffled out of the room again, turning the lights off as he turned the corner and made his way into Melissa's room. Her lights were still on, computer monitor showing a conversation with their neighbor, Toasty. He disregarded it and made his way over to her bed. The bed in question was larger than his own, a queen sized mattress.

The boy climbed under the covers and made himself comfortable for the time being, his mind still trying to process what he remembered of the dream that he'd awoken from. It was a weird one to be sure, what few images he could remember were filled with larger than possible spiders. He'd woken from it after being caught in webbing and being wrapped up, twitching faintly in Melissa's bed as he remembered the feeling of legs touching and rolling him. The truly frightening moment for the boy was when one of the spiders had drawn close and prepared to bite him. He jumped a bit, the memory of the dream's bite corresponding with Mel's return. His eyes took a moment to refocus on her. She stepped over to the bed and reached down, gently running her hand against his cheek to reassure him.

"Gimme a minute to say g'night to Toast," she said softly, getting a nod from the boy before she stepped away and flicked the overhead lights off, dimming the room to all but the lamp she had on her desk. Dewby nuzzled into the pillow briefly, a yawn escaping him as he tried to close his eyes, lulled to a slightly more relaxed state by the soft clicking of her sister typing. She finished her conversation a moment later, clicking her monitor off before turning her lamp off as well. She shuffled across her room and disrobed, tugging off most of her clothing with the exception of her panties. The cabbit climbed into bed and pulled the blankets over her body before slipping one arm under her brother's head, draping the other over him to snuggle him closer.

Dewby nuzzled forward, met with the warm fur of his older sibling and drew closer to her. Mels smirked a little and nuzzled between the bunny's ears a bit, purring softly as she rubbed his back gently. "Comfy?" she asked, receiving a faint nod from the boy. "Good."

"M-Mels?"

"Hmm?"

"S-spiders don't get real big right?" the boy asked meekly.

Melissa tried to keep herself from giggling at the question, understanding her brother's fear of the little eight legged bastards well enough to know he was serious. "No hun, they're lil bitty things. Don't worry about 'em okay?" she said quietly, nibbling one of the bunny's ears gently.

"O-okay..." he mumbled softly. He shivered lightly against his sister, the feeling of her nibbling one of his ears was a bit much for the overly sensitive auditory organ. He relaxed almost immediately from it, eyes drifting closed as he tried to sleep again. Melissa noted the slight slump of the bunny's weight and smirked around the tip of his ear. She released it after another moment or two, leaning down to nuzzle between his ears again, a steady purr vibrating through her chest as she closed her eyes as well. Dewby sank into the warmth and comfort of his sister's bed, coaxed back to sleep by her soft embrace and the steady rumbling of her purring.

His dreams were calm and smooth as he slept, no troublesome spiders and no reasons for the prickling chills of nightmarish content. He gave a quiet sigh in his sleep, shifting ever so slightly against Mels. She settled in beside him and drifted off to sleep herself, the purring quieting slowly until the pair had both drifted off into slumber. It wasn't long though before Dewby's dreams began to sour again, the return of crawling things edging in as he began to squirm against his sister. She stirred from her sleep when the boy gave a quiet whine, her eyes opening in the darkness of the room. She looked down to see the bunny's face contorted with fear, eyes clenched shut.

"Dewby... Shhhhh you're alright." she said quietly, running her hand down his back gently. He calmed a bit, no longer shifting and squirming against her. She began to purr once again, hugging the slumbering boy to herself a bit tighter. The bunny's dreams balanced out once again, leveling off as he settled against her. "That's it." she said softly, planting a kiss between his ears. The girl nuzzled into her pillows again and gave a quiet sigh as she tried to drift back to sleep herself, hopeful that the boy would be able to get at least some sleep tonight. She'd have to have a chat with him in the morning for sure but for now a bit of rest would do both of them some good. One thought did occur before she managed to doze off though. Moving Cassie into his room might help a bit for both of them. The sheppit had been having trouble sleeping recently as well so maybe having someone to sleep with would solve both issues.

The next morning saw Dewby waking up in bed alone due to a clatter in one of the other rooms. "Dammit that hurt!" his father's voice rumbled as the boy slid out into the hall, rubbing sleep from his eyes. Rounding the corner into his room he came nose to belly with his dad, an older german shepherd, busy nursing on his hand where it had apparently become pinched in the bedframe he was installing. "Er..Hey Dew, y'alright?" he asked, kneeling down to eye level with the bunny. He rested his uninjured hand on the boy's shoulder and looked him over, frowning a little.

"Y-yeah...what are you and Peppy doing?" he inquired, ears perking up a little as he peeked over his father at his older brother.

"Well Mels came and talked with me and your mom and wanted to know if we could put this in here for you." he explained, picking the boy up and balancing him against his hip while walking to the bedframe. It was a bunkbed set up with a folding futon frame below that would lay flat as a bed or sit upright as a couch if that was desired. "She thought you could use the bigger bed if you wanted Cassie to sleep up here with you. You know, in case you can't sleep again." he said quietly, nuzzling his son's cheek gently. "Don't worry too much about it, for now how bout you get dressed and go eat, your mom's making pancakes." he explained, whispering the last part so only the bunny could hear.

"Dad, I could use a hand over here." the older canine mumbled around a wrench in his muzzle while trying to line up the top bunk's frame. The bunny's father set him down and grinned as he spun in place and started clapping, drawing a giggle from the rabbit and a frustrated growl from the older boy.

"You said you could use a hand!" Sean exclaimed, continuing to applaud as he chuckled and stepped in to help. Dewby quickly got dressed while they worked and darted down the stairs into the kitchen. He made short work of the food before poking his mom relentlessly until she finally bapped him on the head and grinned.

"What do you need brat?" she asked, smiling down at him as he rubbed his head.

"Where's Melissa?" he asked, ears perking back up.

"I think she ran next door to get ready with Max." his mother explained, looking over the sink and through the window. "You better hurry though, looks like she's loading up the car with him."

Dewby thanked his mother and darted out the front door and over the lawn. Melissa barely caught sight of the bunny in time to brace herself. The boy leaped forward and almost tackled his sister with a hug. "What's up lil guy?" she asked, a little winded from catching the boy. "Sleep better last night?" she asked with a smile.

"Mhmm!" Dewby nodded, nuzzling into the girl's shirt with a soft churr. "Wha's dad moving that bed in my room for though?"

"Well me and Toasty are gonna be gone tonight and tomorrow." she explained, setting the bunny down. "His parents are paying for him to go skiing for the weekend and he asked me to come along."

"S-so you're not gonna be home tonight?" he asked, looking a little upset by the news.

"Nope. So I figured dad can have Peppy move that bed in there and if you and Cass need to you can curl up together on the bottom bunk."

"Oh...o-okay." Dewby said softly, ears laid back as he thought about it.

"Well well well. What's up lil guy?"

"Mirp! H-hey Toasty!"

"Hey. Taylor's gonna be staying over at your house tonight. Think you can keep him entertained?" he asked, tail flicking back and forth lightly. Dewby's ears perked up a bit and he nodded quickly. "Good. He's getting some stuff together out of his room right now and I gotta take off soon if we wanna make it up there before noon." the cheetah said, ruffling the boy's hair a bit. "You bout ready to go babe?" he asked over his shoulder before squeaking as Melissa squeezed his tailtip in her hand. "That's a yes, and I'm in trouble." he grinned at the bunny before trying to slip out of her grip. He retreated into the house as Melissa knelt in front of the bunny and kissed his nose.

"We'll be back on Monday. K lil bro?" she asked, purring softly as she hugged the boy tight.

"M'kay." Dewby mumbled into her fur as he hugged her back.

Later in the evening Peppy had retreated into his room, his hatch of a door locked to keep others out. The three other cubs had piled into the entertainment room in the basement, keeping occupied by arguing over video games. Eventually it was time for bed, Taylor fell asleep sprawled out across the basement sofa, Dewby wandered up the stairs followed by Cassie, the pair yawning as they trudged through the kitchen. The bunny made his way up the stairs in the front room, stopping as he heard the pup behind him start up the steps behind him.

"Wh-why are you coming upstairs?"

"Goin to bed." Cassie mumbled sleepily.

"Uh...your bed room's down here Cass..."

"Mels told me to sleep up here with you." the pup said softly before pushing the bunny forward.

"O-okay..." he stammered a little, urged along by the sheppy behind him. Dewby made a mental note to whap his sister when she got back. He made his way down the hallway and into his room, wiggling out of his shorts as he looked over his new bed. It was laid flat at the moment and he wondered if it really folded up into a couch like his sis had said it did when she had it in her room. Cassie shuffled in behind him and smirked a little at the Iron Man briefs the boy had on before knocking on the door.

"I'm gonna brush my teeth, can you fold that up?" she said before disappearing again. Dewby sighed softly and set about forcing the frame into its secondary position. After a second or two the bed propped itself up into a couch and the bunny tossed the pillows into place at one end. Cassie re-entered the room about the same time as the boy had stepped up onto the ladder to climb onto the top bunk. She slipped her finger into the waistband of the boy's underwear and smirked as his next step up almost peeled them off. "You're sleeping down here with me." the sheppit said softly in response to the squeak and glare the boy gave her.

"Wh-why?"

"Cus I said so."

Dewby sighed and relented, climbing down off the ladder to tug his undies back up. He flopped across the bed and sighed softly as he looked up just in time to see the pup pulling her pjs off. A small blush crossed his muzzle as he took notice of her peeling her panties off as well. "U-uh Cass? Why are you..."

"I always sleep naked, duh." the sheppy mumbled before flopping into the bed with him. She pulled her blanket over them, ignoring her bunny's soft muttering and fidgeting. She reached up and tapped the switch on the lamp and flicked it off. "Night Dewby..." she said softly, wiggling back against him. Dewby grumbled a bit more before hugging her back against his chest with a quiet sigh. The sheppy smiled faintly in the dark and nuzzled into the pillows a bit, getting comfortable as the bunny snuggled up behind her.

"Night brat..." the bun said quietly as he drifted off to sleep himself, comfy and warm snuggled up with his younger sis.
