#2 of Tale Of The Lonesome Prankster

Im finally back. Writing this chapter took me about two days to three days worth of freetime.

But it was effort well invested. I used the comments that I recived to it`s fullest and tried to put a lot more emphasis in plot than I had originally planned to, but I think that the result came out rather well.

I would love to write a little faster, but considering that I need to use a dictionary, as well as a thesaurus to write properly with a quality I can be content with is really restricting my speed.

Synopsis:

As our injured companions try to find a way out of their misery, Reid finally meets someone willing to take 'care' of him.

Feedback is, as always, much appreciated. I tend to take a lot of inspiration out it was well.

As always, stay tuned. ;)

Tale Of The Lonesome Prankstar Part 2: Victorious, Yet Broken

Reid couldn't remember how long he had cried on Swipe's fur, nor how long it took him to scrape the taste of foreign blood free from his tongue. His mind simply went blank at some point between those actions, his body seemed to have developed an autonomy, turning the spent Zoroark into a spectator of his own actions. His inner eye calmly watched Swipe's swishing tail as Reid's body followed the chubby Floatzel mindlessly as they marched alongside the riverbed, heading upstream. Their pace was as fast as the two injured Pokemon could mange.

In Reid's opinion, dreadfully slow.

The small Houndour was with them as well, calmly trotting beside them and occasionally supporting Swipe when his knees looked about to buckle. Reid recalled that the Mightyena had dubbed the pup Zeal. He couldn't quite explain himself why the pup was still with them, despite what had happened, but did he didn`t dare to ask.

Reid flinched as one of his paws suddenly stepped on a sharp pebble, making him aware again of his own actions. And of the fact that he had absolutely no clue where the heck Swipe was leading him. The trees grew thinner and thinner on their trail, much like their final reserves of stamina at this point. Reid doubted that he had ever been to this sparse and remote part of his forest. It honestly surprised him for a moment that there was still a place in his home which he hadn't explored yet. On the other hand, the rather lifeless and boring landscape offered little to his explorational needs.

"Where... where are we heading anyway?"

His sudden question broke the eerie silence like a falling tree, startling his companions. The poor mustelid suddenly lost his balance and tumbled against Zeal, burying the poor pup under a mass of mattered yet soft orange fur. The smaller dog Pokemon tried to push him way, but he could as well be trying to move a boulder. It was a futile effort.

"Hgmmf... gefft of mef.! I caff`t breffth!"

Reid couldn't suppress a chuckle at the sight he had so unwittingly managed to create. There was a painful sting as he inhaled a little more sharply, making him quickly forget the humour and reminding him again of their dreadful situation. By sheer luck, he had managed to stop some of those ruthless invaders.

But what about the rest?

What about his friends?

How many more of those Pokemon did he have to bring down in order to restore peace to the forest?

What made matters worse was the fact that he wasn't in any condition to fight. His left flank seemed to be injured a lot worse than he thought. The only other Pokemon that would stand a chance against those brutes was Boss, but the beaten Zoroark had no clue where to find him at this point. Time was working against him. Every second he wasted brought more ruin and chaos to his home. Not to mention that all of his friends were in danger as well. This was not the time for Reid's usual tricks, jinxes and pranks. No, this was a time that called for immediate action. His face hardened as he swiftly untangled Zeal and Swipe. Swipe was roughly half his size, while the Houndour reminded him somehow of Coal.

"We don't have time to fool around Swipe, where are we heading to?" Reid's voice nearly broke into a growl as he glared at Swipe. The flabbergasted weasel Pokemon in turn looked startled by Reid's sudden outburst. For the Floatzel who had known Reid since he was a little Zorua, this Zoroark in front of him could as well have been an entirely different Pokemon. He flinched, even trough he knew that Reid wasn't able to hurt a Caterpie. Or at least, he thought so until he saw him tearing those Mightyena apart.

"C...Calm down Reid!" His answer sounded calm and smooth. Even though it was forced.

"Were... wounded. As we are at the moment, there is no chance that we... ,I-I mean..., t-that you can stand against them." Swipe sighed, he knew the Zoroark wouldnt like his idea of a sorry retreat.

For the beaten Floatzel, there was only one place he could return to.

Reid flinched as he carefully scraped his claw over the now swollen wound on his left thigh. The stinging was starting to turn into a continual burn-like ache. "If we follow the river upstream, we will probably reach the source...that's where your little water mistress lives, isn`t it? What makes you think that someone like her could help us?"

"D...don't you dare mock her!" Swipe almost snarled back at Reid, trying to sound a little sterner, maybe sounding a little too proud instead. "She is the Guardian of our holy water source located in the heart of our home. And as it happens, I am one of her proud servants. It`s my duty to serve her and to make sure that her domain stays clean and pure!" Swipe was now looking like someone had literally stuffed his chest with pride.

Reid simply looked at him in bewilderment. "You? A duty?" He laughed, then flinched at the spike of pain in his thigh. "And here I thought that all you do each and every day was just to laze around all day, bathing in your stream and letting your meals swim straight into your mouth!"

The Floatzel just hmphed. "I kinda should have expected an assumption like that. For your information, this river is the very vein that keeps the forest alive. And it actually takes a lot of work, effort and devotion to keep it that way. The trees, the flowers... even the Pokemon. Without this river and all of the smaller streams and ponds that nurture the soil, everything would start to wither away."

"But.., it's just water right?" The Houndour suddenly spoke up, catching both Swipe and Reid by surprise. "I mean, lots and lots of water. But it's still, just water, right?" His eyes got wide as he finished his statement, looking like he had said something inappropriate, or maybe he thought that it was inappropriate for him to speak without permission at all. Swipe just chuckled as they continued their march.

Now that the Houndour had finally gotten talking, Reid finally took the initiative and asked him the question that was still haunting his mind.

"Z... Zeal, was it?"

The Houndour in question looked back, slightly trembling. "Y.. Yes..., I mean.. Yes! Hunter Reid!" He almost sounded formal.

Reid just ignored his posture and continued. "Can you tell me just why the heck you are you still with us? No one is forcing you to come with us." He paused for a moment to avoid Zeal's gaze. "I mean.. I... and your... friends... things didn`t worked out very well between us." ?He facepalmed mentally.

"Of course," replied Zeal. His voice carried a certain tone of respect, a tone which the fox Pokemon didn't like in the least. "You killed them off, Hunter Reid. Rather splendid, if I might add."

Both Reid and Swipe looked dumbfoundedly at the pup. For a moment, the Zoroark wasn't sure if he had heard him right. "Stop praising me! I... killed them. I...ended their lives... and you're saying... that it was... splendid?"

The Houndour looked back at Reid with a look of uneasiness. "But... That what's Hunters do, right? They either kill or c...capture the prey."

The Zoroark now looked at him in disgust. Did the pup serious believe that he had been trying to 'hunt' those Mightyena down, that they were HIS prey? "Hunters? Splendid killing? What's wrong with you outsiders? Is that what you think you are now, Zeal? Some captured prey?!"

Zeal gulped, slowly nodding his head. The very idea filled Reid with new rage - once a rare emotion from him, now arising all too often for his liking. His massive stature, combined with his long, crimson claws only aided in further intimidating the already terrified-looking Houndour.

Swipe noticed as well. "Reid, you fool, stop it! You're scaring him!"

Zeal suddenly turned to Swipe, snarling slightly at him, surprising even Reid with his sudden action. "W..Who gives you the right to insult a Hunter? Like me.. y... you are just some lowly prey he spared! You shou...aAgh!

Reid roughly lifted the smaller Pokemon by the scruff on his neck, bringing him rather close to his predatory muzzle. "I don't know what is wrong with you people, but nobody is eating anyone here, nor is anyone someone's pray. Stop that nonsense!" Zeal just nodded quickly, too afraid to say anything in front of Reid's withering gaze.

"Say Swipe," asked Reid as he sat the Houndour down again. "Your so-called mistress, what can she do for us?"

Swipe smiled proudly. "Hopefully, she can give us the answers we need to put an end to all of this. One way or another."

Reid nodded. "Just... how long does it take until we reach her?"

Swipe chuckled. "If you two blockheads wouldn't have argued about who is prey and who isn't, we would have already reached her domain. It`s only a few steps further, just one or two slopes left."

Blushing, Reid looked back at Zeal, who had quickly scurried back behind Swipe. The Floatzel just chuckled, "Now hiding behind Reid`s prey, are you?"

Zeal just whimpered "Sh...shut up..." while fortifying himself behind the chubby Floatzel. As they continued onwards, Swipe could swear he heard a muffled "Sorry." coming from the pup. Chuckling, he pushed onward.

As the group finally conquered the last slope in their way, they found themselves in front of the most gorgeous looking lake Reid had ever laid his eyes on.

The now smaller cedar trees formed a distant, yet dense ring of underwood around it, as if to respect the integrity of the sparkling domain himself. Even the air felt fresh and clean. The surprisingly deep-looking lake was, to Reid's utter surprise, devoid of any life. There was no plant life at all, nor a single Pokemon which Reid could see or smell. The water itself was still and crystal clear. Small ripples on the surface could be seen as the wind swirled and danced on his surface, as if it had grown sentient in order to protect the beauty and stillness of the landscape. To the Zoroark, this truly looked like a place that deserved the name Heart of the Forest.

His eyes were practically glued on the landscape.

Swipe just chuckled as he took a sip from the crystal clear water. Even though all of his instincts screamed to finally dive into the lake, he held himself back. He was not allowed to swim here. No one was allowed to disturb his mistress.

A loud sounding splash, followed by a spray of cool and clean water in Swipe's face jolted him awake, making him nearly moan out in pleasure as his most beloved element caressed his dried-out face. He had nearly been a day without a dive...

...What?

Reid had jumped in the lake without any shame or respect, diving deeply into the lake. The Zoroark was in a haze, for it almost felt like he had finally found something new he could explore, even though it was just the dark bottom of a quiet lake. His strong arms propelled him forward and made him spin as he enjoyed the feeling of weightlessness. The pain of his injury was fading, now that the pressure was off the injured limb. He felt better than he had in a while.

Zeal had scurried away as best as he could. The water had managed to touch him. Never in his life had he felt something so cold, something so wrong. There wasn't much water where he came from, and by now, he felt glad for it.

Swipe, on the other hand, felt like someone had just slapped him in the face. Hard. Using an electric type move. For a moment, he wanted to go after Reid and scold him for the sacrilege he had just committed without even a hint of remorse. But there was something else...the utmost jealously in his heart. For countless seasons had he wanted to enter the holy lake by himself, to swim and dance in its waters, to feel its nearly primordial essence. He had even dreamed about it in one occasion. But that was all he could ever have, just his dreams. He hated Reid for what he did...but at the same time, he wanted nothing more than to trade places with him, even if just for a second.

Not that he would ever tell that to anyone else.

Especially Reid.

Or his mistress.

The lake itself was crystal clear, except one dark spot at the bottom, where the light of the noon sun was too weak to completely penetrate. Reid was a pretty good diver, something he had found out by necessity. He had nearly gotten himself killed in his past, by falling into a flooded stream in the Swamplands of the south. His lungs were large, and he could hold his breath fairly well...

If not for his injury, which decided to announce itself at the worst of times. His hip suddenly jolted up, cramping his legs. The searing pain brought Reid on the verge of letting out all of his remaining air, but he managed to conserve at least a fraction of it.

Then he saw it.

A pair of shining red, eyes starting at him with a predatory gaze from the abyssal bottom of the lake. It was too dark do make out the form surrounding them, making them look as if they were floating on their own. What made matters worse was the fact that those eyes were growing larger by the second. The beast had started to close in on him!

Reid was having trouble thinking, the lack of oxygen made it hard for him to concentrate. Neither could he move his left leg properly.

Up!

Upwards!

Was all his instincts screamed at him. So he swam. His claws were tearing trough the water, as if trying to find something to propel him faster, but it was no use. His vision began to darken as he felt something smooth and cold embracing him in around his midsection. This was it, he thought, as he used his final moments to stare into those large glowing eyes, just before his vision went dark...

Swipe stared anxiously at the rising bubbles coming from the lake's surface. Maybe...if Reid was in danger, then he would have a reason to dive in...even though that idiot was probably just fine. He was just about to give in to temptation and jump into the lake, carrying an almost yearning smile on his face, when something suddenly pulled one of his tails, forcefully yanking him back.

As he turned around, he saw something, or rather, someone he had hoped to avoid for the rest of his remaining life. Swipe gulped, even though the sun behind his attacker transformed most of its features into a shady silhouette, it was nevertheless a silhouette he knew all too well. It was a large, yet lithe body made of white fur, a crescent bone blade adorning its forehead. "S...hani?"

The Absol's piercing red eyes regarded his beaten body. "You have grown even fatter than last time we saw each other... typical."

Swipe tried to think of something he could say to her, but she averted his gaze as soon as he had managed to collect himself. She would never allow anyone into the lake, especially him. Sighing, he gave up on his plan.

Reid was seeing his life flash before his eyes...and he felt somehow sad at how lonesome and boring most of these scenes felt. He remembered the lands he had traversed, the Pokemon he had met. Every encounter he had made held something special to him, something he couldn't put in words. Then he remembered Coal...his old friend, which he had lost to that damn Leafeon Ivy. He couldn't hate her, though. They seemed to love each other.

There was no place for the likes of him in their perfect little lives.

Reid's eyes suddenly wrenched themselves open. He could breath again! Or rather someone was forcing fresh air into his limp body. He was levitating somehow...neither sinking nor rising. He should have been scared, or at least concerned at his situation... but somehow, he felt himself at ease, for the first time in many seasons. Reid even believed for a second that he never wanted to leave this place. He was floating without pain, without wants or needs.

Dark, forgotten, alone.

Alone?

No, he wasn`t alone at all. Something large and smooth had coiled itself around him, and the muzzle of said something was currently pressed airtight against his own, forcefully feeding him with much-needed air. He began struggle, but the coils around him squeezed him tightly. The abyssal beast had made him his prisoner.

And Reid couldn't even put up a fight.

Suddenly, the beast pressed something else in his mouth, making him struggle a little bit more as he felt it. A foreign tongue was invading his mouth. It felt thin and long as it danced around his fangs, as if to make a mockery out of them. Then it ventured even further, even deeper inside of him. If Reid had known a word to describe the taste, it would have been 'icy'. He thought about biting it off, but he was sure that would only anger his capturer. So he held still, waiting for the beast to finish exploring his insides.

He wondered for a moment if his mouth still tasted like Mightyena blood.

The Zoroark adjusted his eyes upwards, he could see shimmering rays of sun breaking through the inverted surface. Slowly, the beast was carrying him upwards.

His sensitive ears hurt as they crashed trough the surface. He thanked Arceus and everything else in this world as he took his first own breath in a long time. Something was still coiled around him. Reid saw and felt the smooth scales, coloured in a light yellow hue. It had no limbs, but Reid doubted the beast had any need for them. It´s tail looked like a myriad of colours, and the fanned end affectionately caressed his belly.

The Milotic wickedly smiled as she looked at him. As she turned away Reid simply followed her gaze by craning his neck as wide as he could. He noticed Swipe and Zeal on the edge of the Lake. With them was an Absol he had never seen in this Forest.

"Shani my dear," she called out in a loud, yet gentle and melodic voice. "Why didn't you tell me we have guests?" The Milotic swished her serpentine tongue along Reid's cheek, making him shudder from the sudden coldness on his cheek. It didn't look like she was expecting an answer.

"His taste is... strange." It looked like she took a deep breath. Then her gaze suddenly hardened, shifting from a motherly warmth gesture into something otherworldly, as if someone had hit a switch on her. He gasped in surprise as her coils tightened painfully around his midsection.

"Now, child. Who in Arceus' damn name allowed you to take a dip into MY lake?"

The Zoroark was speechless for once. Some Pokemon here tended to be possessive about their territories, but to claim a whole lake for herself, let alone the Heart of the Forest was something Reid neither expected nor approved. Yet, he stood no chance against her. And that watery snake had also saved his life. Reid tried to look sincere, apologetic even. "If it was your lake, you could have just told me. It's not that there isn't enough space for ten of your siZAAAGH." Her coils cut deeper into him. She may had her large body coiled only once around him, but she was squeezing him right where it hurt!

"Foolish, child. I`m Laya! Keeper of the spring, goddess of the Forest!" She now looked like she was about so squash Reid like an overripe oran berry. As she managed to squeeze even the last bit of air out of his battered body until the Zoroark had passed out.

Swipe and Zeal never saw what had happened on the surface, they were too preoccupied with telling Shani the reason for their unheralded intrusion. Swipe knew Shani like a sister. There had never been a lot of water Pokemon in this forest, which meant that even someone like him had to take on a scared duty. Shani was never soft on him. And he would never forgive her for the things she did to him. But these events happened seasons ago. Way before he had met Reid, or even Boss.

Shani wasn't impressed at first. What that chubby Floatzel told her sounded more like something out of a fairytale. But the more he had told her of the bloody battle between Reid and those Mightyena, the more her face took on a look of utmost concern.

"Your friend, this Reid..." the Absol suddenly interrupted. "Where is he now? Did he made it back alive?"

Swipe sighed and waved a paw in the direction of the lake, where an anxious looking Milotic was frantically shaking the unconscious body of a Zoroark. "Took a dip into the lake. Doesn`t look fine though."

Shani's eyes widened. "Shit!" was all the response she could muster before she dashed off.

The Milotic was also swimming towards the same location. Never loosing sight of Shani. She couldn't swim very fast, considering that she was carrying a rather large, badly injured Zoroark in her coil. The look of panic still hadn't left her face. "Shani! I screwed up again! Shani! Help!"

The Absol stopped as she couldn't get any deeper into the water without loosing her footing. "Bring him over, quick!"

But the Milotic stopped just a few inches on front of the shore. "I... you...you know I... I can't..."

Snarling, the Absol turned to Reid's companions. "Swipe! Go! Get the skins and scales." Swipe nodded while Zeal beside him simply looked dumbfounded. Shani wasted no time waiting for an answer, as she threw himself into the water. It wasn't like it was the first time...

She grabbed Reid's unconscious body and started pulling with all her might. It was draining, exhausting, he was so much heavier than anyone else she'd had to retrieve...at least, anyone who was alive or in one piece. But she persisted, and with the last bit of her strength, she managed to Reid ashore. Panting, she immediately collapsed beside his form. The Milotic looked on with an expression of concern towards Reid and Shani. Still, she made not even the slightest motion to leave her lake.

Thankfully, Swipe and Zeal returned quickly, each carrying pieces of shed skin and scales in various sizes. Swipe immediately got to work, practically mummifying the Zoroark's body with the material, while ordering Zeal to go back and get more. In the end, it was almost as if Reid had a second skin, and his breathing had normalized. Relieved and fatigued, Swipe let himself fall onto his back, panting Hard.

Zeal, young as he was, seemed to be much less affected by the exercise. He sniffed at the strange looking skin; to his nose, it smelled as wrong as the whole lake, maybe even worse. "What is that stuff?" he asked as he poked Reid with one of his paws.

Shani finally rose to her feet, inspecting Swipe's bandaging. "These are shredded skins of Lay...ah, my mistress. They have exceptional healing properties. I believe your friend should be fine by tonight."

Reid had never been aware of how close he'd come to death. He simply dreamed of floating again, not through the clear waters of the lake, but through the blackness of a star filled sky. He had always wondered how it felt to fly freely through the air, not that he had any intention of grabbing some poor bird Pokemon to make that happen...

As he slowly opened his eyes, he was amazed to see the very same star filled night sky he had dreamed about. The full moon was standing high, illuminating the lake bright enough to make it look like a giant, sparkling mirror, one that was able reflect every star of the night in its own perfect brilliance.

He was alive!

And he never felt better!

It took him a while until he noticed that he had been wrapped in something that looked like dried autumn leaves, but smelled like water. As he rose up, the old pieces of snakeskin began to crumble, until they were nothing more than dust. He noticed his companions snoring not very far from him. The Absol was with them as well, lying beside them like they had all been lifelong friends. For a moment, he thought of going for a dip in the lake again, just to free his soiled black fur from the remaining dust. But he soon recalled that this very action had nearly killed him in the first place. Two near-death experiences in a single day was more than enough, even for him. He had managed to find out what had dwelled in the bottom of the lake and decided that he didn't like it in the least.

Then his heart skipped a beat as he saw those very eyes again. The Milotic`s head was just slightly poking out from the water, just a small speck amidst the otherwise ripple free mirror of reflected stars. It looked like she was looking in a different direction. Maybe it thought Reid couldn't see it, or maybe it was giving Reid simply no attention at all. Either way, he now held the advantage of the night, as well as firm ground between his legs. He knew couldn't get to her, neither could she get to him without giving him the advantage. Reid thought for a moment, then smirked...

His paws reached for the flattest and smoothest stone he could find within arm's reach. He found one that fit the bill, and with one single, fluid motion, he whipped it across the lake's surface.

One skip.

Two skips.

Three skips.

Crunch!

The stone collided with something else then the lake's surface. And the Milotic yelped in pain, then dived down in shock.

Reid chuckled. That would teach her.

Content, he laid himself back on the ground, watching the beautiful night sky. Somehow, he felt that the stars here looked brighter than usual. The smirk of satisfaction never left his face as he gazed upwards. True, she had saved him, but then she'd nearly choked him to death. In return, he had smashed a rock right into her pretty scaly face. In Reid's opinion, they were on even ground now.

He was about slip back into the lands of slumber, when he heard her head resurface yet again. This time however, it seemed closer. A lot closer...the Zoroark tried to remain calm, but his senses were on full alert. He didn't know if she was able to hit him with something more painful than a pebble from this distance.

He waited.

To his surprise and relief, all she did was stare at him. Most of her body was still submerged and the Milotic`s eyes barely breached the reflective surface of the lake. Reid noticed a small red patch on her left temple. Then suddenly, their gazes met.

Silence.

The wound on her face made Reid almost feel some sense of remorse and foolishness for his action. Almost.

Suddenly she spoke up. "Be more careful where you skip your stones, child. Someone could lose an eye."

Reid's smirk grew into a grin. She had humor, a virtue he hadn't expected of her.

"Trying to 'choke' with your humour for once, are you?"

He could swear that he saw her blush under the moonlight as more of her head surfaced "I... I'm sorry... I... didn't really wanted to hurt you. I just wanted to... scare you a little bit, because... I tend to get carried away when someone tries to invade my home without permission."

Thinking back to his own little rant towards some certain Mightyena, Reid felt the urge to answer her with the usual 'I kind of know what you mean' phrase, but decided against it. He saw her inching closer as she spoke, she seemed...frightened somehow.

"R... Reid, that's your name, isn't it? My name is..."

Remembering her onslaught of words, Reid simply groaned.

"I know your damn name by now! Oh unknown Goddess of the lake, sole occupant of the Heart of the Forest... please, even my back still arches from your introduction."

She almost shirked away at Reid's little outburst. His friends should have heard him was well, but the sheer exhaustion of saving Reid's hide with, well, the hide of his attacker, had put them into deep slumber. Still, the Milotic wasn't giving up. "My name... is Laya. And again, I'm sorry for attacking you."

Reid smiled again as he sat himself upright, crossing his legs in an unusual way. "So, you're no goddess then, huh?"

The Milotic cooked hear head for a moment. "I...I don't know. I have lived here for as long as I remember. And I don't know why, but...somehow it has become my duty to make sure that the water here stays clean...and to make sure that you forest dwellers have plenty of it. Does that make me your goddess?"

Her counter-question took Reid by surprise and left him feeling uneasy. "Yes...no... Maybe? I don't know... Look. Swipe brought us here for a reason and I can't afford to waste my time discussing your life, I have to..."

Laya`s melodic voice interrupted him softly.

"I know why you are here, Reid. Your friends have already told me. They used most of the remaining healing skin I managed to amass over the seasons. Countless smaller Pokemon could have been saved with that amount, you should be grateful."

Reid looked at his left side where his wound used to be, not even a mark or a scar was left of it. He knew that he wasn't just feeling better, a closer look made him realise that all of his minor and major injuries had disappeared entirely! "What about Swipe's injuries then?" he asked, already forgetting his own well-being.

Laya let out a sigh. "There was barely enough to fully treat you. I'm afraid he will have to let his wounds heal normally. But do not worry child, all he needs is time and a strong meal. You, on the other hand, had it far worse." For a moment, she thought of telling him that her little move in the lake had given Reid far greater injuries than his battle with the Mightyena, but she decided against it. Goddess or not, a girl want's to have some secrets after all.

"Child." repeated Reid slowly. "Why do keep calling me that? I'm not that young anymore."

The Milotic simply chuckled in response. "To me, everyone that lives a child, for I am older than anyone or anything you know."

"H..how old is that?"

Laya chuckled. "Do you see those Cedar tree's in the distance?" Reid nodded, looking at their majestic, sky-piercing treetops. "In my first memories, these trees were nothing more than small saplings."

The Zoroark regarded her again, this time with a certain sense of wonder. "I didn't even know that there are Pokemon who can live that long."

Laye just giggled. "Me neither, but it kinda makes me more like a goddess, don't you think?"

Reid just smirked back. "Fine. Just one thing though...When you closed in on me in the lake, why did your tongue suddenly go crazy in my mouth? Was that really necessary to save my life?"

Laya's face suddenly gained the shade of a ripe tamato berry as she tried to avoid his gaze. "Ohhh my... I had hoped you wouldn't remember..." If the Zoroark could smile any broader, then the corners of his mouth would surely met his ears. "It was just..." She paused, searching for the right words. "It was...your taste. It was different... exotic and even a little scary. I somehow couldn't help myself."

A foxy grin was now fully plastered across Reid`s face. "So, you tell me that you couldn't stop because it was just to exciting to explore my insides?"

Now her head disappeared completely into the lake, her face burning hard enough to raise it's temperature by a whole degree, at least in Laya's imagination). She reappeared just a moment later. "Stop making it sound so... dirty." She paused for a moment. "B... but, if you start going in that direction my child, we might as well go all the way."

Now it was Reid's turn to blush. Before he could say anything, Laya was already on the move to another place of the shore, gesturing to Reid with her fanned tail to follow him on foot.

Even he was unable resist her charm.

They reached a swallow sandbank just a short while after. There were no stones or pebbles anywhere, just fine sand. Laya still kept her distance. "I use this part of the lake take my food from Shani. It should be the perfect location."

Reid just responded her subtle invitation with yet another moronic question. "Wait, someone has to feed you?"

The Milotic just chuckled. "You have seen the lake, haven't you? There is nothing in it but rocks and sand. But don't worry, I don't eat very much."

Reid scratched his chin at her answer. "But... why don't you fend for yourself then? You don't look like the kind of Pokemon that needs to stay in the water at all times."

Laya just blushed again. "I... I don't like to leave the water. It...frightens me even to think about it. Even now in this swallow part of the lake I feel...vulnerable, weak...and a little bit scared too."

Now Reid looked puzzled. "Then... why did you bring me here?"

Laya didn't responded as she slithered across the sandbank, making more of her body visible with each passing second. Reid took a small step back. "Because we need to mend your mind, too, not just your body. I believe you will have to face more conflict for the sake of all of us. Therefore, I have to take my part in your story as well."

His eyes widened as he watched her emerging form grow larger...

and larger...

and larger still.

She was six, maybe seven meters long, with her widest part roughly in the same league as Reid's midsection. It was no wonder she had managed to squash him that easily... when she had finally reached him, Laya was towering above his form by a third. Poor Reid wasn't really used to looking up to meet someone's gaze. It was an entirely new experience for him.

Both Pokemon were visibly trembling, each scared by their own petty fears. But beyond that very fear stood mutual excitement. A sheer cascade of emotions welled inside of them, creating a mesmerising cocktail of fear and need.

Adrenalin pumped trough Reid's veins, making him more awake than he had ever been in his entire live. It was like the whole scenery was compelling to Laya's natural beauty as he noticed tiny droplets of light dancing around her scaly body. To him, they where everywhere. Up in the night sky; down in the reflected, dead-silent water of the lake; and, of course, in Laya's trembling red eyes as well.

Reid steeled himself and stepped forward, blushing. He tried not to tremble in front of her, but their last conflict was still fresh in his mind, and he wanted security, a boundary to keep his mind at ease. "N...No coiling around me then. I'm still feeling sore from last time." A blatant lie, considering his well being, but perhaps would be enough to carry his message across.

Laya blushed, then simply smiled. Her smooth melodic voice sounded even quieter. "S... Sure. But o... only if you promise me to stop skipping stones in my face."

They smiled and watched each other as their trembles slowly subsided. Their fear was now gone...the only thing left was pure excitement.

Slowly and Softly, Reid reached out to caress her soft looking scales. He took his time to admire her texture. As he looked up, he saw her frozen in place, her eyes were glued on Reid's movements as his touch grew a little bit more firm. The Zoroark couldn't decide if he liked her texture...it was different, that much was clear. The small wet scales on her neck felt soft, wet... and almost brittle. For a moment, Reid even wondered if his touch alone was too much for her skin to endure.

He felt a sudden urge to taste it. While caressing her with both of his clawed paws, Reid took his time to let his fox-like tongue dance across her scales. He could feel her shudder as her soft melodic whines pierced the night sky, But she dared not to move.

Reid had expected to taste something similar to fish, since she seemed to solely dwell in her waters, but his taste honestly surprised him. Because she nearly had none. Or rather, she tasted like the water of the lake itself, the very waters that filled his beloved forest with life. For a few seconds, the Zoroark felt as if he had become one with the essence of his home.

Yet, he yearned for more! Blushing, he looked up again. The giant Milotic looked more zoomed out than before. A simple question was all he needed to make her comply.

"C..could you, come down to me, please?"

Without answering him, she moved her head down while softly sliding backwards. Reid saw that she wasn't trying to slither around him, honouring his request for sparing him of her large and intimidating coils.

Softly, she plastered herself on Reid's outstretched paws. It was a symbolic gesture, but the Zoroark wasted no time and immediately started to nuzzle her head without a hint of hesitation. Laya soon joined in with her own cautious movements. Reid couldn't guess at first if her still hesitating attempts originated from her respect of him or simple inexperience. But he would know that soon.

Lifting her head just little, he got in for a kiss. This time, Laya immediately reacted. Wide eyed, she tried to press her tongue in Reid's awaiting maw, like she had done it the last time. But the fox would going to make her earn it. Passionately, his own tongue fought against hers, pushing her back and denying it the full entry it was yearning for. Laya's oral organ felt long, sharp and thin. And yet, it stood no chance. Moans and sloppy sounds were escaping both of them, indicating that they were very much enjoying their own little perverted bout.

Reid had a confident look on his face as he slowly withdrew from Laya, never breaking with her gaze. Compared to the heavy panting Zoroark, Laya looked as calm as the mirror smooth lake behind her, until her sensitive sense of smell picked up yet another enticing taste coming from below.

In Laya's opinion, it was more of a reek...yet, a pleasant one. She had never tasted a smell so simple, yet so pure and raw. The scents of musk, dirt, salt, life, shame and pride all tingled together, forming something so unique, something so mesmerising that it took all of her attention in a mere instant.

Reid shuddered as her head came down on his already erect canine shaft, he was well equipped for someone his size. Still, the Zoroark wasn't sure if it would be enough for a female of her...proportions.

Reid moaned out again as her firm nuzzling turned into a tongue bath and finally caged his rod entirely. He had never met someone who was able to take his whole shaft in. And yet, there she was taking even his knot into her scaly mouth without any signs of discomfort.

To Laya, the sheer taste of Reid's maleness was a sensory overload of epic proportions. She was only used to clean and pure water, and occasionally s sweet berry as her fill. Her sense of smell and taste had been heightened to notice even the sightliest change in the mineral concentrations of her water. And every drop, every little spread of Reid's shaft made her senses go haywire. Each time, she felt an electric jolt dancing down from her brain right to her neither region. And she still wanted more.

Reid yelped as he felt something strange. He tried to move, but with his knotted end still tightly sealed behind Layas scaly lips, there was only so much he could do. It wasn't a bad feeling trough, just strange. The Milotic suddenly expanded her jaw, widening her muzzle just enough to take a hold of Reid's entire ball sack. Sucking on it like did with the already enclosed dick in her mouth. She tried to swallow as much as possible, tried to drag, suck and lick on everything Reid could possibly offer at once. It was her own tasty heaven.

The Zoroark in return wasn't able to do much more than moan and yelp as her movements made him fall backwards. His hips tried to hump back at her without any use. Even his subconsciousness was overwhelmed by her raw erotic skills. So he just spread his legs, helplessly moaning on his back in ecstasy as the self-proclaimed goddess gave him in what he believed was the ultimate pleasure. Their moans and yelps carried wide, stirring even those who had laid their bodies to rest.

Calling out her name like it was the last piece which held their little world together, Reid howled against the moon as Laya's unforgiving pleasure finally demanded his tribute.

And Reid gave her all he had. Maybe even more.

Laya's eyes got wide as the thought of having tasted everything this able male had to offer was shattered as something utterly stronger suddenly washed around her throat, spiking her appetite for the wonderful wrong taste. Raising her head, she let go of his balls and his delightfully knotted end and started to piston on Reid's red glistening shaft. Milking him dry to the very last drop.

Reid didn't knew if he was still cumming, or if the overeager Milotic had already brought him to the second time. Neither did he care about it. Laya was having the time of her life as well. Her body jerked in the most shameful ways imaginable, as a particularly strong jolt of pleasure made her loose control.

With a slick plopping sound, she let go of his member and craned her body as high as she could. Reid could only see her silhouette in the full moon as she procured a deep melodic cry in the face of the star filled sky. Savouring every bit of his seed. To a human, her cry may have sounded like a diva who had just ended her final performance in one desperate act.

The tired out Zoroark never heard her final prayer trough, for he had already passed out. The water was softly washing around his black fur, carrying away all of the filth and bad things which had plagued him for so long.

The Milotic quietly slithered back to her own resting place. Her intended aim was to soothe his troubled mind, but she had never expected such an endeavour. Her neither regions still felt strange to her, demanding something she couldn't explain. Her tongue darted out and tasted the water.

Faintly, she could taste him, like he was still with her. She would sleep well that night.

Three pair of disbelieving eyes glimpsed at Reid's sleeping form, like they had seen something impossible. Shani was the first one to break the silence. "Arceus' bloody tits! That sight made me too horny to sleep."

A series of nods from the remaining spectators approved her statement.
