#2 of Dream A Little Dream

Shear and E'lan met up with Jax in the village; the Inn in the center of town was still intact, unscathed despite the fire that consumed most of the surrounding township. The elderly innkeeper was so grateful that Shear had returned to help them; he offered free food and rooms.

The Tiger and the wolf took the larger of the rooms. Jax settled for the other.

They walked about the village giving aide and medical attention to the wounded. As the sun began to set in the west, E'lan became increasingly frightened. Shear's heart was full of dread.

"I think we've done all we can for now." Shear stated. "We should get something to eat and talk about a plan"

The three of them returned to the Inn. They seated themselves at one of the large wooden tables. Shear ordered strong tea for all. There would be no port or ale tonight, they needed to remain alert, and more importantly, awake. After they ate their light meal, the Warrior discussed Her plan.

Addressing E'lan, "If we can prevent you from falling asleep tonight, maybe I can scout the area again and find Veronika's stronghold."

"Shear, I don't want You to leave me alone tonight. I'm really scared. Suppose I fall asleep? You won't be here to help me." whined the young wolf, with fright and pleading in her eyes.

"Alright, alright; I won't leave you tonight. I'll go out first thing in the morning, but we've got to keep you from falling asleep." Shear agreed.

Her mind was moving fast, trying to decide on a plan of action. "Jax, go get some sleep. You'll need to be fully alert tomorrow. I'll be heading out at sunrise and I'm depending on you to keep E'lan awake while I'm not here." Shear directed. "Meanwhile we'll go to our room and try to pass the time."

Jax followed the women up the stairs, knowing full well he would not be able to sleep a wink. The thought of them in the next room would keep him awake. He knew he could not compete for E'lan's love. Not against Shear. As he lay on the bed, he resigned himself to accept that fact. Besides, if it had to be anyone else, Shear was the best choice. At least he knew his El would be happy and safe. Well maybe not that safe. But he still couldn't help wondering what they did together. Visions of their lovemaking crept into his mind as he fell fast asleep.

E'lan splashed cold water in her face to fain away her sleepiness. She began pacing the floor.

Not wanting to get too comfortable, Shear sat on a hard, stiff backed wooden chair as She reviewed a map of the surrounding territory, planning Her next move.

"E'lan, will you stop pacing." the Warrior pleaded. "You're making Me nervous."

"What am I supposed to do? I can't lie down, I'll fall asleep" answered the girl.

"Why don't you tell Me some stories?" suggested the Tiger.

E'lan was always ready, willing, and able to tell her tales. She began with stories of Aphrodite and ended with ones of Zeus. But there was still two more hours before sunrise.

"Shear, I've run out of stories" the wolf whined as she yawned. "We still have time to kill. No pun intended."

"Well, make something up. Something that will keep us both awake" The Warrior urged.

The wolf thought a minute and began to tell a story; A story of love, The story of two women who loved each other but were afraid to let the other know, The story of their first time together, The greatest love story ever told, Their story.

E'lan moved to sit on Shear's lap as she repeated, in detail, the events of their first night together. She told of their first kiss and first touches. She put her arms around the Tiger's neck, whispering the intimate details in Shear's ear.

Shear smiled as She relived the event. She began kissing the wolf's neck, moving downward to her breasts.

The wolf kept telling the story "She entered the young wolf with her fingers, probing into her wetness."

Shear became aroused. She couldn't help becoming wet hearing their experiences being told out loud. Her hand moved to the young girl's outer thigh, caressing it, running Her paws through the soft black fur, moving higher and higher, reaching under the wolf's skirt.

E'lan felt the Tiger struggling to get her hand between her thighs. She separated her knees a bit to allow for more movement.

She continued her story "The Warrior's tongue probed the soft wet flesh of the wolf's treasure."

Shear moaned; the feel of the wolf's breath on her ear and the visual remembrances were driving her insane. She continued moving her hand until she could finally feel E'lan's mound through the wolf's britches; grabbing at it as if she found a great fortune. Kneading at the soft flesh underneath; applying pressure with the ball of her hand.

E'lan began to falter at Shear's manipulation as she continued with the story. "Um...the young girl...Ohmm...stood on her knees before the beautiful Tiger....Oh yessss!" she had to bite her lower lip as she felt herself giving in to the Warrior's touch.

"E'lan. E'lan!" Shear whispered, pleading for more without having to ask. Shear tugged at the wolf's britches trying to remove them while the wolf still sat on her lap.

The wolf lifted herself to permit Shear to pull them off. Shear didn't miss a beat as Her hand dove into the girl's soft wetness. E'lan moaned at Her touch.

The bard shifted her position so that she was now straddling the Warrior's lap. Her legs spread out before the Warrior. "Do You want to hear more?" she asked seductively.

"Yes......yes" gasped the Warrior as she nipped at her lover's lips; her paw still inside the wolf's valley.

The wolf continued to whisper her story "The Warrior could feel the young girl's tongue enter Her causing Her knees to weaken"

Shear couldn't hold out any longer. She stood up lifting the wolf; the girl's legs wrapped tightly around the Tiger's waist. Their lips meeting with urgent need; Shear pushed the wolf back onto the small table, knocking aside the maps She had been studying.

Jax's eyes opened with a start. He lay there listening. He was hearing muffled sounds coming from the next room. Creeping out of bed, he placed his ear against the thin wall that separated them. The only thing he could hear clearly was E'lan calling, or rather groaning Shear's name.

Shear was the one on her knees this time. Her face buried in the wolf's love nest. The wolf flung her legs over the Tiger's shoulders, crossing her feet behind Shear's head, pulling Her mouth deeper inside her. The Warrior's tongue plunged into her opening, causing the wolf to quiver.

Jax left his room, carefully closing his door as not to make any noise. He moved to the women's door and knelt to peep through the key hole. What he saw answered all his questions.

"Shear. Shear..." she moaned as the Warrior moved her tongue between her folds. The Tiger stood up, pulling the wolf's legs and body with Her. The wolf's body moved upward, until almost standing on her head, finally resting the wolf's weight on the table at her shoulders. The Warrior did not disconnect her mouth from the wolf's treasure. She continued to lap at the girl.

Shear's nerve endings were about to explode. The taste of the wolf was too much for Her. She reached Her hand into Her own britches, searching for Her hard throbbing clit. Feeling Her own wetness; She rubbed Her fingers harshly within Herself.

The bard shuttered, tightening her legs around the Warrior's neck. Shear quickened Her own friction. Both of them released at the same time, once again.

Jax stood pop eyed and open mouthed as he watched the women's lovemaking. He knew he could never satisfy his El the way Shear did.

After the waves of pleasure subsided, Shear and E'lan held onto each other where they stood; afraid to lie down for fear of falling asleep. The sun was beginning to rise. The bard held tight to her lover, not wanting Shear to leave her. But she knew She had to. Veronika needed to be stopped. Her life depended on it.

Jax timidly knocked on their door. Shear opened it to let him in.

"O.K. Jax, it's now your job to keep E'lan from falling asleep. Do whatever it takes even if it means throwing her in the water fountain, or smacking her face. Just Don't Let Her Sleep. GOT THAT?" Shear ordered.

"I got it, whatever it takes. You can depend on me" he said reassuringly.

The Warrior bent to whisper in his ear "And if something should happen and she does sleep, Do Not Wake Her. Understand?"

Jax nodded his head, his face reflecting his determination to complete his assignment.

Shear gazed at E'lan. Her blue eyes told of her torture.

"Go on." the wolf said "Finish this, I'll be all right."

Shear left the Inn. She was almost certain of Veronika's whereabouts. Judging from the territory maps, she could only be holding up in the caverns to the south. She worried, for if She was wrong, E'lan could be lost forever. She kicked at the horse's sides forcing a fast gallop.

After watching Shear ride off, E'lan headed for the door. "Jax, I have to get out of this room. Maybe some fresh air will help keep me awake."

Jax and E'lan walked about the village. Most of the villagers were busy making repairs to their dwellings. They both helped here and there, but E'lan was too tired. She could barely keep her eyes open and had trouble walking.

"I'll go get you some strong tea. Wait for me here by the fountain. Why don't you splash some water in your face maybe that will help?" Jax suggested, before he went back to the Inn.

E'lan leaned over the fountain and gathered water in cupped hands. She poured the cool water over her head, hoping it would refresh her, all the while thinking "I've got to stay awake, I've got to stay awake."

Jax took awhile to return. The wet wolf sat on a large chair like rock. Her eyes felt so heavy. Her head was beginning to spin.

"E'lan, here's your t......... E'lan? El? Jax called out as he moved closer to the wolf's face. But E'lan didn't hear him. She was asleep. Jax began to panic.

Shear left Her horse at the end of the trail and made Her way by foot over the mountainous terrain. The mouth of the caverns lay ahead. Cautiously approaching the opening, She could not see any guards protecting the strong hold.

Back in the village, Jax didn't know what to do. He had let Shear down, and more importantly, E'lan. In his panic he was about to shake the girl, and try to wake her. Then he remembered Shear's words "And if something should happen and she does sleep, Do Not Wake Her. Understand?" Instead he lifted the wolf in his arms and slowly carried her back to the Inn.

The Warrior entered the dark cavern. Inside the stone walls she saw the glow of torches at the end of one of the many tunnels. Drawing Her sword, She quietly made Her way to the back. The tunnel opened into a large cavernous room. All along the sides were small cliffs and nooks. She decided it was best to climb up and make Her way toward the cavern's center. This higher vantage point would give Her the edge over anyone positioned in the main area.

Jax tenderly laid the young wolf on the bed, being ever so careful not to wake her. E'lan began to babble in her sleep. He could make out only some words "Shear. No. Please. Shear."

Shear reached the top of the incline. As she looked down into the cavern, Her eyes widened as She saw Veronika sitting atop a throne like bolder. The leathered warrior was staring, trance like, into a small pool of what looked like black oily water. The pool floated in mid-air. In her hooves she held E'lan's staff.

Shear moved Her gaze to the pool. Fright and terror filled Her eyes as She saw E'lan's reflection. She cursed Jax. He had let them down once again and now E'lan was the one who would suffer. Although, Shear at this moment, was suffering too; She felt as if Her heart was being torn from Her chest.

Shear knew She dare not kill or wake Veronika, for if She did, the young girl would be lost forever. Her cool blue eyes darkened as She searched Her mind for ideas.

Looking back into the pool, she saw a small room materialize. E'lan was now lying naked on a bed. Veronika appeared out of the darkness.

"E'lan!!" Shear choked, as the lump in Her throat prevented Her from screaming.

Veronika was wearing a long black cloak. As she approached the wolf she said menacingly "Welcome to My world, my pretty. I was wondering how long it would take until we met again. This may be a dream, but you will feel everything as if it were real. I'm going to teach you some new tricks. Tricks that will make you scream my name"

E'lan couldn't move. It was like she was glued to the bed. All she could see were the glow of Veronika's eyes.

Veronika removed her cloak. She stood naked before the wolf. Shear's heart stopped as Veronika turned. Strapped around her hips, was a large phallic devise; one similar to those used by the Amazons; except this one was wider and much larger.

E'lan weakly cried out "Shear."

The Warrior crashed Her fisted paw into the wall, hoping to dull the pain She felt inside. It didn't work. Making the only decision She could, she started climbing down the embankment. Her decision was to kill Veronika. Stop her in her tracks before she could harm her lover. She would rather loose E'lan forever than see her penetrated by Veronika's evil.
