_ I woke up to the sky _ being as purple as ever...wait, did I just say purple? I looked up and, there to confirm my answer, was the purple sky. My eyes didn't catch some things at first, but when I stared for a good minute at what seemed to be a dream, I noticed them. Both the sun and moon were completely absent, so I thought 'Maybe it's a new moon tonight' and pulled out my phone.

"The hell?!" I said as I noticed several missed calls from both friends and family and ten texts messages from an unknown number. My purpose for taking out my phone was not because it was ringing like a vibrator, but for the time. The current time was two o'clock in the afternoon.

After seeing the time, I looked back at the purple sky and dropped my phone.

"T-That's not possible," my voice shaky from fear. "How did this happen?"

What I saw, the thing that would change everything, left me running home without my phone. What I saw was a planet covering almost half of the sky.

Excuse me while I introduce myself. My name is, um... it's Tirrance. I am, what you would call, a Lio-nuki. Basically, I am a mutation of both a lion and a tanuki, also called a Japanese raccoon dog. How did this happen? Well it was when love, and the entire world, decided to play a joke and mate together Kal, a male tanuki, and Lyda, a lioness. I know it sounds crazy, and it is, but I am here...kahooting on. I am light brown with a golden mane, albino-white ears, orange eyes, and retractable, yellowish claws. I stand around 5'6", slightly overweight with a red and white, fluffy, humongous tail.

Back to now, I reached my house in a matter of minutes (did I mention that I slept outside a mile away?) and burst inside from the back door.

"Did you see it?" My mom, Lyda, questioned.

"Be blind not to. When did it appear?"

"Everyone has been saying around midnight." I looked at my mom. She was wearing a sunflower-yellow skirt and a black shirt. Me on the other hand, I was wearing just some orange worn out shorts and no shirt.

My mom noticed and without hesitation asked, "Where is your shirt?"

I decided to ignore her and turn on the news to see their explanation for the planet in the sky.

"...still are no specific details on the mystery planet in the---" The newscaster stopped talking and put a finger to her ear. "We just received intel that..."

The screen went static. I cursed and reached for the remote. As I was about to grab it, an image flashed on the screen, but quickly vanished.

"Hello?" I heard, but no one was in the room with me.

"Hello?" It asked again.

"Hell...o." I replied quizzically. As I did, the image reappeared, but, just like the screen, was too static-y to identify.

"You...mus...n't...hesita...uch the scr..."

I couldn't make out what the voice was saying.

"I can't---" Just as I said that, a clip of a paw was reaching for a TV screen directly in front of it. The TV, too, was filled with static and the same image.

"Hurr...before it clos..."

"Before what?" Just then a sharp tone pierced my ears and I fell to my knees covering them. I yelled from the pain but nobody came to investigate. With the tone still sounding, I reached toward the screen and touched it. The tone vanished.

"Thank God it stopp---" A paw covered my mouth. I tried to yell, but was muffled by the paw.

"Hush boy." I froze.

{That voice!} I turned my head and saw a female wolf. She had eyes and a nose that were purple and fur the color of a rose quartz. She started to remove her paw from my mouth. When she returned it to her side, I quickly got to my feet and ran a few feet away from her.

"Who the hell are you and where the fuck am I?!" I interrogated.

"No need to yell, and you are on Trinity." She answered, avoiding my first question and tilted her head at me. "May I, now, ask you some questions?"

Puzzled as to why she would ask such a question, I replied by shaking my head.

"You never told me who the hell you were and why I am here."

"All in due time, for now you mustn't know. "With that she disappeared.

"WAIT!" I looked around, looking for a way out.

{I must be dreaming.} I thought to myself.

"That you are. HA! Just kidding." A male's voice said from behind me. I turned around quickly, seeing no one there. Fear started to rise in me.

"Who are you and how'd you know what I was thinking?!"

"I can hear thoughts." Again, my first question was ignored.

{Maybe this is some kind of joke from Aor. He loved doing that.} I smiled.

"Damn it! How did you know? HA! Just kidding. Who is Aor?" This time the voice was directly in my ear, and I jumped hugging my tail.

"Wow that was unexpected, just kidding. I saw it coming." He said as I turned toward the voice's direction. This time, instead of seeing nothing, I saw what appeared to be a red panda. He, too, had purple eyes and nose and the fur the color of a rose quartz. The other thing I noticed was what seemed to be a green star stamped to his forehead. He also wore the damned grin of a jokester.

Still hugging my tail, I took two steps backwards and bumped into something.

"Hello again." The female from before had returned.

I quickly turned to look at her. Immediately I looked at her forehead, but saw nothing. She tilted her head and so did I.

"Where did you come from?" I asked.

"Are you looking for something?"

{She fucking did it again!} I thought to myself

"Did what again?" I turned to the red (pink?) panda.

"Stop that! You two are starting to freak me the hell out!" The pink panda and wolf looked at each other. I studied both of their faces as they did so.

"What the hell is going on?!" I yelled starting to tear up. "Can I go home please?!"

"Not unless you want to lose without ever playing." The panda answered smiling that smile again.

"Ignore that baboon..." The wolf attempted.

"HEY! I'm no baboon! Jeric is, you dumb---" The panda was cut off by the appearance of an actual baboon, who I assumed was "Jeric".

"Yes? Somebody rang?" He had a deep voice. Almost as if he was what you'd sound like if helium had an opposite effect to your voice. Unlike the other two, he was completely green; eyes, fur, teeth, which was weird, all green. I also noticed that he wore a bow tie, which was black.

"Go back to HIM. Nobody called for you."

{'HIM'? Who's 'HIM'?} I thought.

"'HIM' is none of your concerns." The pink panda, who I decided to call Joker, glared at Jeric as if he hated him.

Jeric sighed and disappeared.

"Who was he?" I asked the wolf, who I am calling Mystery.

"Come on Kelta. We need to get him prepped for the event."

"What event?" Before I could even finish, Joker disappeared.

"Damn the event. Every new planet we come across this happens." Mystery sighed. "By the way, his name is Darz." She walked up to me and whispered something into my ear. What she said made me go wide eyed from surprise.

"The one you love most is coming."
