Each year, ConFuzzled holds a Flash Fiction contest, with entries limited to five sentences. Here're some entries of mine from 2013 to 2016, all bundled up together. (Tags therefore a bit random...)

Tricky fox is quickly running.

Sleepy dog is idly sunning.

Fox in henhouse, feathers fly.

Bird in mouth and gleam in eye.

Dog left staring, jaws agape, as hungry fox makes his escape

About half a second after I decided to kill the bastard, the Nanites lit up my nervous system. Had to be something in my biometrics tipped them off. Subjective time slowed to a crawl as my vision faded to institutional grey, then brought up rehab video after rehab video, lecture after condescending lecture, until, finally, it spooled out the message: sentence complete. Time served: 175 milliseconds.

I clenched my teeth and took another step towards the knife.

I came across the end of a rainbow last week. It looked a lot grubbier than I would have expected.

"You can have all me gold," said the leprechaun, holding up a single, tarnished coin, "if you can answer this riddle: why did they not take me with them?"

I told him I was sorry, but I didn't think I could help him with that.

"Please, if you ever see them," he began, but the rain had stopped and he faded away before he could finish.

Roll up, roll up, come one, come all!

Forget your troubles, join the throng.

Come see the freaks, come find your stall.

It's like you've been here all along.

Come all, come one, and stay the night: the pact is sealed at dawn's first light.
