#1 of The story of shadow the Arctic Wolf

This is the first chapter of the story. Ive been writing this story for a while and decided to upload it. Hope you guys and girls like it.

I never knew my family too well. My mother died when giving birth to me and my father was killed during a home intrusion. It hurt me to see him die, but he was a tyrant and never cared for anyone after my mother's death because of this, my elder brother left. He left when I was 9 years old. The break-in indecent happened when I was 14. A few weeks after the break in, a mage of high caliber took me in. Ever since then I have been training with him. The first week he asked for my name but I had no answer as my father only called me " boy " or " you damn kid ". So with no name, I started my studies of the arcane.

The first year was a little boring and slow. All we did was study the laws, physics, and properties of magic. To have me stay in good shape, he would have me run through a series of exercises each morning. Every morning we had the same breakfast, a slice of bread with butter, a fruit, oatmeal, and water. The only time that we had anything different was on my birthday. During this time, I kept busy by reading or teaching myself stealth skills.

As my first year of training was nearing an end, I was told to think of a name based on that year of training. After about five days of deep thinking and remembering what I had learned, I found a name at last! The name I found was Shadow, as that was where I spent most of my time learning self - taught stealth skills. My master approved of this name and with that, my second year of training began.

The second year brought Many challenges. Instead of only studying from a book, I had to practice with hand-to-hand combat weapons, start casting spells, and even start summoning practice. I learned early on that I had a strong affinity for lightning elemental spells, but Master said that I was excellent in all forms of magic. I had but one drawback though, I was the absolute worst when it came to close quarters combat. I couldn't use a sword properly, I was clumsy with axes, had a hard time using staffs, and I almost cut off a few toes with a spear.

Thanks for reading and sorry that the first chapter was so sort.
