Prologue

Power is the most dangerous thing a person can possess. It can be used to help build a city to its peak, while also being able to leave it as nothing but dirt and ash.

Power can run good, and it can run evil. Both are equally as dangerous as each other. There is no in-between, only chaos or prosperity.

While some are born into power, and others never able to experience the feeling, there exists a race of people who are known for their power. The Temporis. Their entire existence to be a source of power with an energy known as 'The Flow'.

A flow of energy created by the universe that is in every cell known and unknown to the world.

The flow could only be controlled by these select group of people. They looked normal, just like anybody else looked. Same fur, scales or skin as their species, same nose, same paws, claws or hands, same everything.

Their young life would be normal, their mothers having to look after them every moment of every day, but as they grew into their teenage years their chances of a normal life ending as soon as their abilities became present.

They were forced to live under the impression they were a danger to society. Sometimes it was true, but others not at all. Any normal person could be just as dangerous and that point of concern was always looked over. The race was stronger so different rules seemed to be made up for them, even if they didn't make sense.

But when does falsely shaming a race ever make sense?

When they were first found, they were discovered to have two different kinds. A Mind (born in the winter solstice), Or a body (born in the summer solstice).

Mind's were individuals who got stronger with knowledge. They had to learn and read for their powers to flourish. The more intellectual the being was, or how much of an understanding of the magic they were controlling they had, the better their skill of the Unearthly magic. Illusions, Freeding (Teleportation). Levitating (Telekinesis), Barriers (Psychic blockades), and matter creation.

Where as Body's got stronger through their muscles. The Stronger a body was, the stronger their mastery of Earthly magic. Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Lightning.

Other magic could be used by the Gifted as well. Other spells and other sorcery, but a Mind couldn't use a fire related spell, or a Body couldn't use a spell to create a psychic wall.

The only difference between them and the so called 'natural' people was their eyes.

Along with their natural eye colour, the Temproi's eyes held flecks of what looked like pure gold in their iris. Many believed it was their payment form the gods for holding the heavy burden of so much power, and other believed it was only the universes flow showing through.

These Tempori's could do amazing things. Fire could blaze from their paws, they could summon the undead to aid them in crisis, they could use 'the flow' to heal any wounds, how ever. The more powerful their magic was, the longer amount of time it took to build up enough 'flow'. It made it very hard to use in battle, some had met their demise because they underestimated the time they needed.

Some were able to use it well, and some were even able to build there flow faster, but all (at some point) found it to be a burden at some point in their life.

Wether it be causing them to be a victim to a verbal or physical ambush, or it caused them to lose friends or even family. At some point the Tempori would hate his gift, and wish for it to be gone. Some even went to the full extent and ended their bodily life to begin their spiritual one. Hoping it would be better for them there.

The Religious people knew they were going to the dark afterlife, they knew that Temprah would judge the demons harshly, while for those who believed in the science, they knew that they were just going to rot in the ground as soon as they did. The two sides of religion only agreed together on one thing, the less Minds and Bodys there were in the ground, the better. The less of them there were to worry about the better.

Though there was one more powered being known to this land. A rumour, A myth of a cursed being that was to carry the burden of making sure the earth's balance of good and evil stayed perfectly even. A Mind, and a Body whose power knew no limit. They could live for centuries, only able to move into the promised land when their time came. If they weren't taken down in battle, they continued to be one with the world until true peace was with the world.

They were born in the yearly solstice where the night and day was perfectly in balance. No others are born with them, only the one perfectly even child was brought into the world, and once that happened. True harmony was promised to the world.

He's power starts off small, but they grow over time, being able to become strong through knowledge or strength. Being helped in times of need when they were frightened, in danger or deep levels or rage.

The Tempori's were a powerful and feared race, so the normal Furs (or Naturals as they were known) did to them as they did to everything they didn't understand. They exiled them, treated them like they were nothing but filth. Soon the laws were enforced Braliviand wide

Laws to make sure if they stepped out of line, they would be punished. Punished for being different.

A Tempori child must be registered as soon as there powers become known

A Tempori must not use his/her Flow in public

A Tempori must not harm a natural with Magic

If a Tempori leaves a city, a guard will accompany them

If a Tempori is found unregistered their family will be taken into custody with bail at nine hundred coin.

Temproi's have a year to raise the coin or their family will be put to death.

Any Orphan found with powers will be put into the Royal Guard. Using their powers to protect the Royal family.
