The sun was high in the sky as of now, the birds chirped as most of the nearby world was awake. Of course not everyone was awake yet. In a small house was a young mutt he was of Labrador and wolf descent. He was still wrapped up tight in his blankets, snug as a bug, he slept. His eyes opened and he yawned, he looked to his alarm clock with a nervous expression. His eyes were too blurred to see much at first he found it was off. He fiddled with it but it was dead, he growled as he took out his phone and looked at the time. He was horrified to find it was twenty minutes until eight, which was when school started.

"Crap! Ah'm gon be late fur college!"

He hopped out of bed as he ran to his closet to retrieve his clothes. He opened the door to his closet, pulling a hanger off of the rack, and got dressed. He wore a blue hoodie with a charizard on it. His pants were regular blue jeans. He was quite tall for a dog at six foot'three. He also was muscular, not exactly hard as a rock, but had good, strong muscles none the less. His fur was all black and his eyes were a bright yellow.

He sighed ran out of his room, closing the door behind him as he went downstairs to his bike. He kicked the stand up and grabbed his bag off the floor as he walked his bike outside and rode off as fast as he could. He was almost hit many times by cars and almost hit a few pedestrians on his way. He got barked at but he ignored it, he was a peaceful dog and didn't have time for a dog fight anyway. It wasn't long before Harry arrived at the college. he pulled up into the parking Lott and rode over to the bike locks, he found he didn't have his bike lock on him. he rummaged through his bag hoping to find his bike lock in here, of course there was no such there in there.

"Crap! Well I don't have time to go back home, I guess I can leave it here. Hope no one steals it."

He set his bike on the stand with the other bikes and ran as fast as he could to his first class. He burst into the class out of breath.

"Sorry I'm late professor!"

The professor smiled at him. "Well mister Doge, how nice of you to join us."

"I'm sorry professor-"

"Don't worry, just come and take a seat mister Doge."

He nodded and walked over to his seat and sat down next to his friend Jasmine. She smiled at him as the teacher continued his lecture.

After school was over Harry walked outside to the bike stand to find his was gone. "What? No!" Harry ran over to the bike stand, his hands on his head gripping it tight.

"What's wrong Harry?"

He turned to find Jasmine staring at him with concern. Jasmine was a pretty black Labrador, her brown eyes stared at Harry with true concern. She wore a sleeveless T-shirt she cut the sleeves off of and yoga pants. Her eyes were a dark brown, her black hair was in a ponytail and neatly brushed.

He sighed and pointed to the bike stand. "my bike got stolen."

"Forget to set your alarm?"

"No, it died on me."

"Well that sucks!"

"Your telling me."

"Well how about I treat you to lunch? It'll help you feel better."

"Ah don' wanna feel better!"

Jasmine couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Your southern is showing again cowboy."

This ain't funny Jasmine! How'm ah s'pposed ta get 'round town now?! Ah'm gonna have ta spend mo money on a bike, money ah need fo rent an food!

"Calm down Harry, it's not the end of the world, I have a bike you can use for right now until you get enough money to buy a new one."

Harry wagged his tail with a grateful smile. "Thanks Jasmine, you's a true friend."

Yeah, I know. Come on, I'll buy you lunch, that's sure to raise your spirits. And stop talking like that, I can't take you seriously when you talk like that!

He cleared his throat a bit. "Sorry, lost control a bit there is all."

"I can tell." Jasmine and Harry walked to her car, they got in and drove down to the dog bone steak house.

It didn't take long for them to get there, though it did take a while to get parked. It was a popular place. They got out of Jasmines car and walked towards the doors. Harry had his hands in his pockets, slumped and his ears as down as his expression.

Jasmine smiled and gave him a playful shove. "Hey, come on Harry! Cheer up, otherwise you'll spoil the mood of the whole place!"

Harry nodded with a solemn face, his yellow eyes looking sad.

Jasmine stared at him with sympathy but didn't say anything to him as they walked in. Harry still held the door open for Jasmine of course.

She smiled at him as she walked in. "Thanks."

He just nodded.

Inside ten people were waiting to get seated, and all the booths and seats they saw were full.

"Yeesh, this place is full, I better get our names down." She went up to the waitress and told her their information and went over to where Harry was sitting. "Okay so the wait will be forty minutes, so get your cozy on!"

Harry nodded.

"I assume you left your phone at home Harry?"

He nodded. "And my wallet."

"Well you don't need that, I'm paying for us regardless, but I left three messages on your phone. I got a little worried, you usually aren't that late. You aren't usually late at all now that I think about it."

"Yeah I've had the clock since I was in middle school after all."

Jasmine stretched her arms in the air with a yawn. "Oh well, it happens, at least you have a great friend like me to help you out!"

Harry smiled. "Yeah, I guess."

Group after group got seated and they got to Jasmine and Harry.

"Hi! I'm Shyla, if you'll just follow me I'll lead you over to your table." The two got up and followed the waitress to a booth, she gave them both menus and smiled. "I'll be back in just a moment to take your orders!" She then raced off.

"What are you going to get Harry?"

"I don't know, the fried bone, what about you?"

"A grilled jumbone with a big baked potato."

"You eat so much, how are you so toned?"

"I'm an athlete remember?" She said with a raised eyebrow.

The waitress soon came back. "Hey, so are you two ready to eat order yet?"

"Yep, I'll have the jumbone with a baked potato."

"Okay and your order sir?"

"A fried bone please."

"Okay. I'll have it out as soon as its done!" She then raced off again.

"They didn't have this place out where you lived did they?"

"Nope, nothing but farmland and scenery for miles, the town was old and rundown, hated it there."

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad out in the country!"

"The only thing I miss is the peace and quiet out there, and the stars at night, nothing else I miss. Folks say they want to live out in the country but they forget the fact you gotta drive at least forty miles to town. Also, no wifi or anything like that out there."

Jasmine giggled. "Look at you! Already becoming a city dog, you dress like a city dog, your accent is gone even! Well except when you're mad or excited but still!"

Harry shrugged. "It's been three months, and I wanted to get rid of it, dogs here make fun of me when I talk like that."

"Yeah, so how's your roommate?"

"He's an idiot. But he isn't too bad other than that, he helped me fit in here."

Jasmine cleared her throat and gave him a glare.

"What? You helped too! Not like I'm going to forget about that."

"You better not."

They talked a few more hours before their food finally came. "Here you go!" The waitress set the food on the table. "Let me know if you need anything else!"

"Yum yum!" Jasmine smashed her face into her plate, gorging herself like a wild animal on the potato, then began chewing on the bone.

Harry chewed the bone and managed to break it and eat it like Jasmine had the potato.

"Dang Harry, you have the jaws of a wolf there! Not even I can do that!"

"Then why did you get the jumbone?"

"It'll be my meal for the next month! Saves a lot of money you know."
