Lisa was a nature enthusiast. Every weekend she would travel somewhere in the world to see what it had to offer. She went to every continent, and many countries and had no signs of stopping anytime soon. It was her livelihood as well, she documented her adventures on her blog and managed to get enough views to be able to get by with just ad revenue, and sponsors (both companies and fans) are able to get her the flights and hotels to make it work. It was a job that made her happy to be alive every day.

There was one thing about Lisa though, an accident in a bog caused many issues for her. After a brush with death, it left her near fatally injured to the point of barely being able to move. However, due to a woman who lived nearby and with some voodoo magic it allowed her to regenerate back to health. However it came at a cost, she had to inject a kind of medicine into her body in order to remain human. In order to save Lisa, the woman had to fuse her DNA with an animal's, and it ended up being a hippo, the closet one near them.

The woman who saved Lisa warned her, should she be unable to inject the medicine, the hippo can and will win out, and it would be very likely that she end up a hippo herself with no chance of turning back. It wasn't the most ideal position to be in, but as long as it kept her alive it was worth it. She made sure to check in with the woman to buy more medicine when she ran low and always bought extra before every trip as a precaution.

Her next trip sent her to Africa, a bustling bog to be exact. She preferred to stay away from them since the accident, but if she did it this once a very big sponsor could mean a lot more adventuring without having to worry about being sure she could afford her living expenses. Lisa sucked it up and began exploring, taking various pictures of all the landscapes there, making sure to keep track of time to make sure she didn't miss a dose of her medication. It was starting to get pricey, so hopefully the sponsorship that could form would help with that.

Eventually, Lisa hit a flowing river that required her to use rocks to jump across, nothing new. However, they were more slippy than she anticipated and she fell into the river, victim to the current. She would be fine, but her medicine wouldn't. She had one left in her pocket but the rest would be far too dangerous to get and she wouldn't make it out. Defeated, she swam back to shore, though not without struggle and looked down at her watch, a dose was due any minute and she was stuck here for another two days.

She sat with her hands on her cheeks, elbows on her knees pondering what to do. However, as she did so she noticed her body was getting a bit dry. She didn't think much of it and went to the nearby creek to moisturize. However the water did much of nothing to help. She looked at her arm confused as to why it wouldn't lose the odd feeling despite her action. As Lisa looked at her arms her eyes widened as she lay them on her watch. She had missed her dose.

In a panic she fumbled back to her campsite and hurriedly injected the medicine in her, hoping that it would be enough to stop the changes from happening. Lisa looked at her arm hoping to be relieved but instead only saw horror, as it began taking on a grey color. As it spread to her hands she grabbed her phone and started recording the transformation, if not to have someone one day be able to trace what happened to her. Try as she might her shaking from fear of what to come prevented it from looking too clear.

Her body began to take on more mass than before, growing out to the size as a hippo, which wasn't fun as her breasts seemed to be completely gone, along with her hourglass and feminine figure. Her once wide hips and pronounced rear now gone, all looking very much identical proportionally. Lisa's hair retreated back into her scalp while her ears became circular, creeping up to the top of her head.

Lisa's eyes moved farther apart as her face began pushing outward into a mighty snout. Her nostrils became larger and two circles at the tip of the muzzle while her jaw became much stronger, her teeth altering vastly to resemble a hippo's. Her arms built up the same bulk as the rest of her body, followed by her legs. Lastly, she felt an odd sensation down at her crotch, a new organ finding it's way between her legs.

Lisa gulped as the now he waited the final change of being forced onto all fours and losing his humanity. He closed his eyes for a good 5 minutes yet it never came. Trying to talk he was still fully capable of speaking, though it was a far deeper and manly sounding voice than before. Lisa actually breathed out a sigh of relief, being a humanoid hippo was far better than being a full one, plus if he got the animal characteristics from the change then water travel could be much easier now. The strength could be a big plus to if that transferred over.

Lisa looked in the still recording camera and examined his body closely. A smirk managed to escape as he looked happy. "Looks like there's a new obstacle, but I don't think it'll cause much trouble." Lisa chuckled into the camera before cutting the video short. Later, when he returned to the woman she informed Lisa that the medicine was no longer required, and he would be fine, and any more would actually cause the change to a full hippo. Lisa kept on exploring, and with his new body, only more opportunities arose!
