Location: Serenity Island â€" Terra

The ruins of a town were a beautiful yet tragic reminder of the people that dwelled here once. The protectors and keepers of the Orichalcum swords had long since failed in their task of keeping Galladia safely locked away for all eternity.

These race of Echnidas had died out after Leviticus Valentine, Kestra Valentine's father accidentally caused the release of Galladia who easily laid waste to them. All that was now left was a smattering of crumbling ruins that littered the entrance to the vast forest that covered most of the small island.

Odin and Obsidian walked through the ruins towards a windswept hill that overlooked the village. On top of this hill was a large, almost intact circular building which was the containing place of the swords however as Odin had suggested, it held another secret.

Another person had also joined them while they were making their way to this location. A familiar rat who had deep red eyes and strong black fur... They had succeeded in creating, yet another clone of Eclypse. This was the first step into retrieving Levantine from the rebels and dismantling resistance once and for all.

Eclypse followed behind silently as Odin and Obsidian walked up to the huge doors of the sanctuary on top of the hill overlooking both the village and the vast ocean behind it.

"How are you going to keep him from going to the other side again?" asked Obsidian, he was fairly tired from the long walking. Odin simply looked back at him like he had asked an insolent question.

"The last one was damaged after our retreat from this galaxy" she said calmly. "It's soul became self-sufficient and gained independence. I can assure you that this will not happen with the new model..."

"If you can do that... why not resurrect Diamond?" tried Obsidian. He was still racked with grief after the death of his lover and friend. Even though Diamond had always been a little more reluctant to do the Gods bidding, he was always there for Obsidian.

"It is a complex process..." snapped Odin sharply, her long human white hair flutter in the gentle breeze. "His life's purpose is complete, with the surrender of Terra he is no longer needed. There would be no point to it."

"NO POINT TO IT!?" screamed Obsidian within his head. "Why are you so cold! I loved him and he's been ripped away from me!"

Odin stopped in her steps and turned round to Obsidian, grabbing him by the throat. Obsidian was easily lifted off the ground from her massive strength and struggled for air in Odin's unbreakable grip. "Control your thoughts mortal! You live because we will it! I will not tolerate any signs of rebellion!"

Obsidian struggled for air at this point, he felt like he was dying slowly in Odin's grasp. "M-my apolo-aplogies my lady."

At that Odin released him and turned to carry on walking with Eclypse just following silently. "You could never understand" chanted Odin, looking back at Obsidian as his wings emerged from his back. "We are trying to govern the lives of countless lesser beings... the fate of one mortal is irrelevant..."

Obsidian stared back at her as he collapsed down onto his knees, trying to grab for as much air as possible. Odin just gave a short smile on her pale face, making her deep red lips stand out even more. "But worry not, Diamond is in the afterlife now, he is happy and that should be enough for you."

Obsidian looked down at the floor. Was that expected to make him feel better? However it did bring him some comfort to know that Diamond was finally in a happy place. Somehow, he knew had to trust in the Gods.

"Now" commanded Odin, lurking over Obsidian. "Shall we get back to the mission at hand?"

Location: Unknown Space â€" Journey Back from Helfhiem â€" Transport Ship Aura

"I just DON'T understand this at all!" shouted Anna as fiddled with the hilt of the sword that she had been given by Diamond before his death. She knew that somehow, Silver's soul had to be locked away within this magical item but she had no idea of how to get him out. She had tried every means possible to analyse it but had still come up with nothing.

She looked across the small table of the living area. Hy was sat at the other side, working at a console trying to make sense of all the modifications that had been done to this ship over the years that it had been in space. Blackfire was in the cockpit, attempting to guide that ship back to Silmeria so that they could meet with Commander Ironheart to discuss the situation.

"What you trying to do?" asked a peculiar blue rabbit as he moved out from another console. He had been laying underneath it trying to help conduct repairs on the vessel as it had been slightly damaged during the landing on Helfhiem. He was wearing fairly tight black shorts and a black t-shirt covered by a dark jacket. He smiled at Annuka in a friendly manner as he got up.

"Oh nothing Oriyn..." sighed Anna as she attempted to take the hilt apart one piece at a time. She had only just met Oriyn when they had got aboard this ship however something about him annoyed her. He was way too cheerful. "Go back to what you were fixing."

Suddenly, the ship shook with an almighty jolt, causing some of the consoles on the walls to explode, spraying sparks off as the light flickered. Anna ducked down covering her head as Hy banged his head from under the console he was working on.

"Owww!"

Blackfire came over the intercom. "Guys, you better get up here!"

Location: Serenity Temple â€" Serenity Island â€" Terra

Odin pushed against the massive inscribed doors of the temple. The beautiful descriptions were indicative of an era when Terra was just starting to emerge as a dominant power. The tribe that had built this had vanished over three centuries ago and all that remained was their murals and paintings to the "Gods" that they believed they served.

Eclypse walked into the room, there was a stale smell inside. It was as if the room had not been open to air for hundreds of years. The temple was one, large room that was hugely tall with darkness obscuring the ceiling. The only source of light in the room was a large gap in the ceiling that concentrated a beam of sunlight down onto a raised platform with three pedestals.

"That used to be our containment method for Galladia" smiled Odin as she glided across the room to the pedestal with the beam of sunlight cutting down through the darkness. Obsidian looked up at Odin as he scanned the room with his dark eyes. "Three swords that held her bindings in place but they have long since been lost to mists of time"

Obsidian instantly felt confused, he had heard this legend before about the first release of Galladia and the three swords but at the same time he found it hard to believe that beings as "infinitely" powerful as the Asgard could "lose" anything.

Odin walked up to the pedestals, her shoes creating a distinctive "clack, clack" sound on the marble floor that cut through the darkness of the chamber. She took a small device out of her cloak, it was an interesting grey cylinder which beeped and whirled when she lay it down on the floor.

Obsidian watched with interest as Eclypse continued to stand in the door of the temple like a mindless automaton. "What are you going to do, my lady?" asked Obsidian, hesitating first as he unfurled his large black wings from his back,

Odin just smiled as the device began to glow in an ominous blue light that immediately lit up the room. For the first time, Obsidian could see the layout of this massive temple chamber. The pedestals and Odin were stood in the centre and as they had walked in, he had not realised that they had walked across a large marble bridge to the centre platform. There was a whole portion round the circumference of the room that was just a large pit which descended into nothingness.

The device let a powerful sound, like an explosion but there was no blinding light, it rumbled the very foundation of the temple. A blinding white light filled the room eventually causing Obsidian to cover his eyes.

When he had eventually uncovered them he noticed that in the place of where the device had been, another horse-like creature was standing there. She was tall as she emerged with a unicorn horn pointing out the top of her head, she unfurled her large bat-like wings as she stood up, her eyes blazing at the site of Odin.

"W-who are you?" she asked while she attempted to get her bearings.

"Allow me to introduce myself" said Odin, standing with her hand on her hip looking very commanding. "I am Odin, of the Asgard."

"The Asgard!?" The woman's eyes became inflamed with rage at the sound of Odin mentioning that. She drew out a long, beautifully ornate longbow, covered with gold and jewels and pointed it at Odin after drawing an arrow.

"I understand your frustration" charmed Odin as she stared at Ukimori, her hand reaching to her sword.

Obsidian had had enough of being kept in the dark about all this, he looked at Odin and then at the new female as they faced off against each other. "WOULD SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?" he shouted, his face going a little darker from his annoyance.

Odin turned away from the woman as he stared at Obsidian. "Do not take that tone with your God..." she said commandingly but was interrupted by the new female.

"So, your calling yourself "Gods" now?" she said laughingly.

Obsidian was now really confused, obviously this new female knew something about the Asgard that he did not. He had always considered the Asgard, the ultimate power in the universe but slowly he was beginning to doubt that. Maybe it had something to do with losing Diamond.

The new female glared from Odin to Obsidian, she looked as if she was concentrating, almost reading his mind.

"Wait a sec..." she said after a few seconds of silence. "You really believe that these guys are Gods, don't you?"

"Well... yes... They are the most powerful beings I've ever known..."

The woman almost choked herself on laughter, she could not believe that somebody could be that gulliable.

"I assure you there is nothing God-like about these guys. They are extra-dimensional entities, they have limited powers in most realms. But three hundred years ago, the Asgard attempted to invade my realm to "purge" it. We fought them off but it was a long and costly war..."

"Ultraviolet!" shouted Odin. "That is enough."

Ultraviolet stared down at Odin and then to Obsidian who just felt more confused by the last statement. "Then why bring her here?" asked Obsidian in his confusion.

"Yes, why you brought me here?" asked Ultraviolet, still looking at Odin defensively.

"Because there is a threat that you need to deal with... There is a group of terrorists that have developed a way of moving between dimensional realms, they have located your realm and are planning to invade. We are not interested in invading your realm and are telling you to keep dimensional balance. Ultraviolet, you are the protector of the elemental realm, it is your duty to help us to locate and eliminate the terrorists."

Ultraviolet paused and thought about her duty to her people, she had been protecting her realm for almost a thousand years, immortal to the passage of time as her realm had always been.

"Fine...." she said after a long silence. "But I will not have the Asgard meddle in our affairs again..."

"Nor do we have any wish to" droned Odin emotionless.

Ultraviolet sighed as she looked over at Eclypse who was stood near the door rigid and inflexible. "So... who's the rat eh?"

"That is Eclypse, he will accompany you on your mission. He is a clone designed by us to protect our interests in this galaxy. The last one was errant and decided to go with the terrorists but he died and this one has been perfected. He will be under our command and to ensure that you do not stray from our "recommended" procedures..."

Ultraviolet nodded her head slightly and put her hands on her hips. "Recommended procedures" she questioned.

"Yes, to ensure your compliance..."

"I...get the picture" sighed Ultraviolet. "So... how will we get there?"
