Jessica and Karen were best friends their whole school life. From Kindergarten to graduation from High School they were together almost inseparable from each other. They were often mistaken for sisters with how much time they spent together. Even their parents knew each other. It seemed like their friendship would never end, and most people would believe it to. These two were going to quite literally be best friends forever.

Of course there's a saying; "Nothing lasts forever," and with the case of the friendship of Jessica and Karen, it wouldn't. They had both ended up going to the same college, where they got more and more competitive with each other. Rather it was test scores, relationships, sports, games, anything. Jessica and Karen were constantly trying to one up each other. Jessica was generally the one who would take it one step too far, and create a bit of bad blood between the two.

It was all just little things until finally it all collapsed on itself. It was a relatively simple event to. A mere arm wrestling competition on their campus. Both Jessica and Karen were doing rather well. They were really quite strong, easily winning against boys and girls alike. It would only make sense that they would make it to the semi-finals, where they would be up against each other.

The match started out rather normal. It looked like Jessica was getting the upper hand but then Karen would take control, and it went back and fourth for quite some while. However, after about a minute, it looked like Jessica was unable to properly "fight back" and was on her way to losing. She was sweating, she just had to beat Karen! Her mind raced to anyway to win, and decided on the first thing that came to her mind. Jessica stomped onto Karen's foot causing her to wince in pain and allowed for Jessica to easily take control of the game and win easily. Jessica began celebrating while Karen was starting to tear up.

"You're a real jerk now you know?" Karen said to Jessica. "Don't talk to me, it's done. I can't do this anymore." And with that Karen ran off back to her dormroom. Jessica watched her run off, deciding it best to not chase after her. She'd come around eventually. Right now she had a tournament to win.

Karen got back to the dorm and went onto her computer to try and find a space to vent. She ended up on one of those chat rooms where you talk with strangers. She began venting to the first person she connected with. Telling them about how her and Jessica were such good friends until they reached college and just started constantly competing. She just wanted to get along together again. The stranger stayed silent, and merely typed "Wait for tonight, everything will fix itself." And disconnected.

Karen thought it was a bit weird, and maybe she was just feeling a lot of emotions right now. She decided to just listen to what the stranger said. Jessica arrived to the dorm a few hours later with a mere bronze medal, unable to beat the other two who were in the competition. She didn't see Karen anywhere and frowned. She wanted to apologize. She heard the shower start and figured that Karen was in it. Jessica slouched onto the couch as she tried to think of a good apology. As they both thought about what transpired, both of them felt a very strange surge in both of them.

As Karen was in the shower it seemed like the water was making her heavier? It was an odd feeling but it wasn't falling off her body as easily as it normally does. It felt itchy to, and when she looked down she almost screamed at what she saw. There was brown fur growing all over her body. She quickly got out of the shower and shook her body to try and dry off the best she could. Karen ran to the mirror and saw her teeth becoming sharper and white fur covering a growing muzzle. Her nose became black and wet at the tip of it. Her eyebrows became thick and white as a white streak went down her head, Karen's hair retreating into her fur. Meanwhile her ears became more pointed as they move to the top of her head.

Karen's shoulders became broad as her arms took on a more masculine tone. Her breasts became much flatter, vanishing from her body completely. Her waist, hips, and rear and became flat and level with the rest of her body, taking away her hourglass figure for a more masculine one. A white jacket, red scarf and green shirt formed over Karen as a bushy white tip tail formed behind her. Karen felt something form between her legs confirmed a change in sex. He lost a great deal of height as green pants formed on Karen's legs. His feet became more pawlike as metal boots form over them, ending his changes.

Meanwhile Jessica was going through her own changes. It happened in almost an instant, her body was covered in blue feathers in a split second. Her nose and mouth fused together rather painfully as it pushed outward, turning yellow to became a rather large beak. Jessica grew red feathers around her eyes, which turned an emerald green. Her hair retracted into her feathers much like Karen's hair into her fur.

Her legs shortened, making her just a bit taller than Karen's new body. Jessica's feet became more avian, covered with boots not unlike Karen's. Her hips became flat along with her rear, blue tail feathers puffing out from behind her. Jessica felt a new organ form between her legs while her chest was deflating, making her very much a male.

Jessica lost her feminine figure, only confirming the transition to male. His shoulders became more squared up and lost the narrowness, giving him a more masculine figure. His hands became vaguely wing shaped as an outfit almost identical to Karen formed on him, except he was supported red colors and opposed to green. Both of their changes ended as they both ran to where they knew they would find each other.

In their painc they didn't notice they were no longer in a dorm room, but on board a ship in space. They finally bumped into each other.

"Fox, what's wrong? The alarm's going off!" Jessica said to the transformed Karen, in their panic the alarm on the ship must of started.

"Small rescue mission but a very critical one, we need everyone on deck for this." Karen answered, officially Fox now, Jessica the same with Falco.

"Right, you probably need your best guy on board. What are you waiting for? Let's move it!"
