================================================================

"GET BACK HERE!" yelled a elderly man as he stood in the doorway of a elaborate mansion, watching a young vixen stop at the large stone arches that held the main gates before she turned around, tears in her ice blue eyes, and matted fur on her cheeks...her dress ripped in a few places. She stood near five foot three, her burn orange fur shining softly in the sunlight, along with the black along her paws and lower arms.

"NO, I WON'T! I WON'T LET YOU BEAT ME LIKE I'M ONE OF YOUR LOWLY HARLOTS!!" she yelled back before she turned around once more and started running down the path, toward the town.

Slowly the man looked back to one of the guards standing not far away. "Get her, Bring her back and bound her in irons until she learns her place."

The guard gave a swift nod, before leaving with three others.

"That little bitch is becoming quite a problem."

The Vixen made her way down near the docks where she started looking for a place to hide, knowing that the guards her master would send out after her would be looking for her. Her search took her down to the low end of the docks where a large rowboat was waiting, packed with black powder, cannon balls, and countless quantities of rum. Finding a small spot to hide, she pulled the canvas cover back down over the supplies and waited.

As time ran on, her eyes became heavy, slowly closing until she fell asleep, curled up in a ball.

Unknowing to the young Vixen, the rowboat parted company with the town, returning to a large ship that belonged to the most wanted person in all of the seven seas.

Soon she woke up to voices outside her temporary hiding spot, before the cover was flung off and soon she was facing a large Doberman with deep brown eyes, with a scar that ran the length of his muzzle, and the half of his left ear was missing. She didn't have time to scream as the large male grabbed her arm and pulled her from the boat and onto the ship.

"Send for the captain."

One of the other crew members gave a swift nod and walked away to the rear of the ship. Slowly the young vixen looked around at everyone that stood around her, finding out she was the only female around besides the Irish Setter that stood off to the side, and that every male that surrounded her were various species and also there clothing had seen better days. Looking off to the side of the ship, the only thing she seen was endless blue of the sea.

"It's bad luck to have a woman onboard." spoke one of the crewmembers, a old Ocelot with a crooked grin.

"We'll let the captain decide that." the Doberman replied sharply.

"I say we send her to Davy Jones Locker." the Ocelot snapped back.

"No one walks unless I say so." a voice came from behind the crowd causing everyone to turn around, slowly a line parted to show a jet black wolf, standing near a set of large double doors. His amber yellow eyes seaming to shine in the light, he was about six foot tall, his clothing seeming to be in better shape than anyone else's and a long saber at his side with a pistol on the other.

"Who...Who are you?" the Vixen asked.

"I am Jacque De La Morte...Captain of the Night Fang." the wolf spoke with a slight bow, then he slowly stepped toward the two of them, his boots thudding hollowly against the wood deck until he stopped in front of the young vixen, looking down at her. "Who are you?"

"V...v...Violoa." the vixen replied, her ears laid back against her skull, as her tail tucked between her legs. She watched the tall wolfs every move as he looked to the Doberman with a slight nod before looking back to Violoa.

"You're a far ways from home aren't you lassie. Why did you sneak onboard my ship?"

"I was hiding." she replied softly.

"CAPTAIN!!" came a yell from above them, causing Jacque to look up quickly to the upper part of the mast; to a young rat that pointed out to sea.

Slowly Jacque looked to the side, noticing a large ship coming up from behind them, closing the distance quickly.

"Colors?" Jacque called back to a large husky that stood at the helm.

"She's Imperial! His majesties Royal Navy!" the Husky replied.

Jacque slowly looked to Violoa with a grin. "Seams that who you are hiding from has come looking." he then looked to the Doberman. "Master Breget...take miss. Violoa to my quarters and guard her.." he then made his way to the helm before a faint explosion sounded, just before a cannon ball slammed into the water beside the ship, sending up a spray of mist. "Make fast the Port side cannons! Lets give them something more to shoot at." he growled as he gave the wheel one quick jerk to the left, causing the ship to turn slowly as the cannons were moved into place and loaded. He waited silently as the Imperial ship moved closer before he grinned slowly. "FIRE!".

One at a time down the full length of the ship, twenty cannons fired off in a cloud of smoke and flames. Only a few of the shots missed there target, but half of the rest hammered into the oncoming ship with deadly force, splintering wood and shattering glass. Slowly Jacque grinned, bringing the front of the ship inline with the other.

"Load the Long Nines...lets show them that we're not to be trifled with."

Slowly two large, long cannon barrels emerged from trapdoors on the front of the ship, siding a beautifully crafted form of a she-wolf that was on the front of the ship.

Soon the Imperial opened fire in return, sending torrents of water into the air and along the deck of the ship. Jacque only snickered slightly as a cannon ball shattered the lamp that hung not far away from his side, splintering the wooden pole that held it. "FIRE!" he called out with a growl, before the deafening roar of the twin cannons went off, before a split second later two large explosions ripped from the sides of the attacking Imperial, then it went up in a large fireball, sending wood and various other objects into the air and the water.

Jacque watched silently as the crew gave cheers of victory, while the defeated Imperial slowly sank below the waters surface. He then turned to the husky with a nod. "Bring us back to bearings. We have wasted enough time already."

"Aye, Captain." replied the husky as he moved to the wheel, bringing the ship back around to its previous rout as Jacque moved down the steps and to his quarters where the Doberman stood silently on the other side of the double doors, as Violoa sat silently in a chair at the large table off to the side.

"Master Breget."

"Captain.?" Breget replied.

"Step outside, I wish to speak to Miss. Violoa alone. There is a lot she has to tell me." Jacque slowly looked to him.

"Aye, Captain." the Doberman replied before walking out of the room. Slowly Jacque moved toward Violoa before pulling out a chair and sitting down.

"Tell me Violoa...why was you hiding?"

"My master...Father...is governor of Port Val. He uses his power to control everything, and he tried to control me...use me like he uses his harlots he has." she replied softly before looking to him slowly. "You're...Pirates?"

Slowly he gave a nod. "Yes, we are. Your father...it is people like him that are cruel...its why the seas are becoming less and less for us to roam free...the Royal Navy is closing in on us...thanks to men like him." he then stood up slowly while taking off his hat slowly, running his claws through the thick fur on the top of his head. "You are free to stay onboard for as long as you wish Miss. Violoa. Master Breget will help you in any way you wish." he said before walking to the door.

"Jacque..." Violoa spoke up softly, watching the wolf turn around slowly while he put his hat back on. "Thank you...but, tell me...why are you so kind to me? I thought all pirates are mean and vicious."

It was now time for him to smile as he shook his head slowly. "Miss. Violoa...do not let looks fool you...I am the most ruthless cut throat that sailed these seas...I've killed many..." he stepped up to her slowly, before leaning down, his nose almost touching hers. "You ask me why I am kind to you...I don't know. Maybe some day we will find out." he then stepped back and walked out of the room slowly, leaving the young vixen sitting in the chair, staring silently at the glass doors, watching the shadow of both Jacque and Breget. Her mind going a million ways all at once, why had she been taken in by a group of pirates with out as much as a second thought. But one thought she had; scared her...she liked the captain...the feeling he gave her when he was around was something she never experienced before...and when his nose touched hers, that feeling became stronger. It scared her so much that she gave a involuntary shutter.

"Master Breget. The lady is in your care."

"Mine, Captain?"

"Yes yours. Do what ever it takes to keep her happy." Jacque replied while looking out at the crew on the deck of the ship, going about there work...the only work they enjoyed and did with out question.

"Why me sir?"

Jacque slowly turned to the Doberman. "Because I trust you to show the lady respect...unlike some of these Bilge Rats onboard."

"Aye, Captain." Breget replied before moving into the room slowly as Jacque walked up to the helm. Slowly Violoa looked up when the Doberman entered the room before she tilted her head.

"The captain has gave me orders to watch over you. If you need anything, just ask me." he moved to sit down at the table, watching her.

"Tell me about Captain Jacque." Violoa spoke softly.

"The Captain? He's a only child to a beautiful She-wolf that was mated to a pirate lord." Breget replied softly.

"One of the Nine Pirate Lords?" questioned the vixen.

"Yes. He fell in love with her and they had him...when the Captain was just a pup, his father was killed in a mutiny to over throw the lords...his mother told him that he was nothing more than a man who did trade goods and was killed out at sea during a storm." Slowly he shook his head. "A secret that has been kept from him all these years...".

"What about his mother?"

"She died from a heart attack ten years ago. After that...no one wanted him around, so he set off to the seas and became a pirate." Breget slowly looked back to the doors as he tilted his head slightly.

"But he's a descendant of one of the Pirate Lords...shouldn't he know?" Violoa asked softly while looking at Breget carefully, her ice blue eyes full of wonder.

"He should...but lately, he's been more interested in finding out the truth about his father's death...call it a blood bonded feeling."

"What's that mean?" Violoa tilted her head.

"It's like how you get a feeling when someone tells you something about your family...and you some how know that it's a lie..." replied Breget.

"I see. If he finds out about his father...that would also tell him the truth wouldn't it?"

"It should. Miss. Violoa...I don't want to cause trouble with the Captain...so please...keep this to ourselves okay?" Breget looked to her slowly, as she gave a soft nod. "Good...you hungry?"

"Yes...I could use something to eat."

"Wait here, I'll be right back." he stood up and walked out of the room slowly. Violoa stood up and moved about the room, noticing the large bed that resided in the lone corner of the room, soon her eyes fell upon a old photo that rested silently on the table beside the bed. Slowly she picked up the brass framed photo, looking at it carefully...mapping out the lovely face of a she-wolf, long hair, beautiful eyes and a lovely goddess like figure. A body any woman would kill for.

"She's...Beautiful."

"That's his mother." Breget spoke up as he closed the door, moving to the table to set down a medium sized bag, before he set to work opening it.

"I see where he gets his beautiful looks from." Violoa replied before she gasped softly, noticing what she said, before turning around to look at Breget as he softly started to laugh.

"So you like Captain De La Morte?"

"I don't know...I...I get this odd, warming feeling all through my body when he is close to me..." she replied softly. "Please...don't tell him...I'd rather he found out on his own."

"I won't speak a word about it Miss. Violoa...now come. I picked up some food from below deck in the store room. Dinner wont be until tonight, and I think the Captain would like you to join him...so this will hold you over until then." Breget spoke softly while holding over a apple.

Slowly she took it with a soft nod, before taking a bite. She was still confused about how the outcome would be, but for some reason she wasn't scared at all...the stories she had heard when she was a pup didn't add up to the way Jacque, and Breget had treated her in such short time...making her feel welcome...was there more to this or was it all just...something that she desired for years.? Idly taking bites of the large apple, her thoughts kept returning to the jet black wolf, the way his amber eyes looked at her, the smell of his scent, the touch of his breath when it washed over her when there noses touched...soon that feeling came back, slowly the warmth spread throughout her body as she closed her eyes with a soft murr.

"Miss. Violoa?"

She snapped out of her dream like trance, looking at Breget, who looked at her with a questioning stair before she shook her head. "Sorry..." she then looked out the window at the slowly setting sun, that painted the crystal blue waters into patches of red, orange and purple. It would soon be night, and then she would be alone with the Captain again...all night long.

A change from the others stories I have been doing...trying my hand at a older time line to see what I can do. I want to thank the Pirates of the Caribbean for some of the desire to do this. Johnny Deph is wacky and I love his acting. Um...Can you guys (And Girls) guess what's going to happen next?

Remember, Watches, Faves, and Comments will make me strive for better work and to work more on what I do. If you want to comment and point out grammar errors...you can, but just keep them kind and constructive. Cya.
