Gray was bored.

That was the only way to describe the way the dragon-man felt as he listened to the youth next to him prattle on about the small nuances that separates weapon synthesis from true alchemy. Not that he cared, really.

Magic. Mana. Alchemy. All of that stuff went right over his golden haired head, and Felt had to have known this by now. The fact that he was a creature caught between dragon and human should have made him more interested in the actuality that was the science of studying the energy of the world, sadly though, Gray was a simple man.

If it threatened you, you kill it.

If you care about it, you protect it with all your might.

One's word was one's bond, and breaking it made you less than dirt.

These were the truths that made up the dragon-man's life, and at this current point in time, there was nothing else he needed to know that would help to make him a better man/hybrid/creature/thing than this.

However, for the boy's sake he pretended to pay attention.

At least for the first twenty minutes before the sound of the other's voice began to lull him into the familiar feeling of tranquility that often made him want to curl up around the youth and drift off to sleep; the boy safely tucked within his bulk while his senses remained on high alert for whatever danger might come their way.

Ruby eyes stared deep at the blue haired boy next to him, the gleaming orbs greedily taking in the sight of how Felt's lips and tongue moved as the other prattled on and on and on about mana spirits and whatnot. Gray tried to stop himself as he felt a pleasurable heat begin to well inside of his chest, his tail lashing behind him slightly as his nose drunk in the scent of the young alchemist. The pair hadn't showered since yesterday and as the heady scent of the boy's body soaked deep into his nose, the dragon-man couldn't help but grumble as the protector guarding his crotch began to feel uncomfortable all of a sudden.

"Is something the matter?" Indigo eyes blinked innocently up at the older draconic warrior and it took every ounce of restraint within Gray to keep from pouncing on the other.

Innocent didn't belong within those depthless orbs.

"We are going to get out today to do some training, aren't we?" Gray asked suddenly,

"Um...yeah, we talked about that earlier this morning, remember?" Felt was sure that he had spoken to the older dragon-man about their plans today.

"Good." a clawed hand reached back behind him him and before he could stop himself Felt released a small yelp of surprise before quickly snapping his head to look at Gray owlishly. "Because I was hoping to get in some extra sword training before we set off today."

Felt had the good sense to blush at this as he felt the older dragon-man's hand squeeze his rump, "Um...I-I...we could...uh..."

Gray merely growled at this.
