The she wolf ran through the forest, panting hard and holding her left shoulder which had a gash on it as blood trailed down. She tripped on a tree root and fell with a yelp. Howls were heard behind her as she quickly scrambled to her feet. Their scent was strong and close as she whined and ran faster. The sound of heavy footsteps were heard some distance behind her.

"Come on girl, you can make it." she said to herself.

A little further up the path, she heard the sound of rushing water.

"Almost there."

Before she could make it, she let out a yelp as the trap she stepped on sprung to life lifting her high into the air by her ankle.

She looked down to see a huge wolf, around seven feet tall laughing at her.

"Did you actually think we would let you escape?"

He was soon surrounded by three other wolves that looked at her.

"Leave me alone damn you." she snarled.

"Sorry, I can't do that. You belong to me. I OWN YOU." he snarled.

"NOBODY owns me." she shouted back.

The rope was cut as she let out a bark when she hit the floor.

"It seems I must show you who your alpha is."

He reached down and grabbed her roughly by the hair. Thinking quick, she put all her strength into the quick she delivered right to his balls. As huge as he was, even he yelped and crumbled to the ground whining.

"You bitch," the others snarled and jumped her.

She reached down and grabbed a thick tree branch and swing for the fences, knocking each wolf back as they spun in the air. Dropping the branch, she ran past them before coming to a cliff, a river running below it. Taking a deep breath, she jumped off the cliff making a big splash. The huge wolf looked down the cliff, a trail of tears in his face.

"All right listen up," George said. "Before you guys head home for the night, I need a volunteer to help with a vital job."

"What kind of job?" Billy asked.

"You are to assist the FBI and S.W.A.T in apprehending a terrorist."

Everybody looked at another. Nobody liked working with the feds cause they were picky and pushy.

"If nobody speaks up, I'll volunteer you myself."

Again, nobody spoke up as Irons sighed.

"Very well, Daniel you will go."

"Why me? You could've picked Billy or Zed."

"Because I know they wouldn't argue with me like you are."

"That's not fair. What about Russell?"

"He's done more then his fair share of special projects."

Dan looked at Russ who chuckled.

"This is bullshit," Dan growled.

"Here's the info you'll need. Study it on the way."

A bulldog walked in wearing a S.W.A.T uniform and saluted.

"Agent Kevin here will drive you there Daniel. Get ready."

Daniel walked over and snatched the folder, noticing the smile on George's muzzle.

"I hate you."

"Good luck Daniel."

Everybody watched them leave before laughing.

"Why choose him though chief?" Angel asked. "Couldn't somebody else have gone?"

"You don't know Daniel like I do. Trust me, he wanted to go."

Angel looked at Russell who nodded.

"He always wanted to be a S.W.A.T officer. This is just a little excitement for him."

"The rest of you, get some sleep."

"Yes sir," everybody said before leaving.

Sanzo let out a sigh as he sat down in his room. It was well furnished with a large workout bench in the corner. A picture of his family hung over his king size bed. The hardwood floor underneath was polished just as bright as his horn. On top of the dresser he had various pictures of him and another female. They looked happy together as he had his arm around her giving the peace sign with her hugging him. He looked at the picture before his ears turned misty.

"Why didn't I ask you to stay?"

He reached over to the nightstand and opened the drawer taking out an engagement ring.

"I wanted you as my wife so bad but that will never happen now."

He closed the box and switched off the light and laid down. A single tear went down his cheek as he drifted off to sleep.

The wolf floated weakly onto the rocky shore. A whine escaped her muzzle as she dragged her body onto the shore. She coughed up some water before laying on her back looking up at the night sky.

"I never should've left you. What was I thinking?"

The sound of gravel being stepped on made her ears perk up. She growled in anger and got into a defensive stance on all fours, baring her teeth.

"Easy there. I'm not going to hurt you," a feminie voice said.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"I was fishing when I saw your body floating in the river."

The figure walked closer revealing her dolphin body. She had on a pair of blue shorts, tank top and a pair of red slippers. She held a fishing rod and a tackle box along with a net. Walking closer made the wolf growl before her arm stung making her whine and fall to the ground.

"You're hurt. Here let me help you."

The wolf whined when she touched her shoulder.

"Its pretty deep. My cabin isn't far from here."

"You should leave me be. I'll only cause you trouble."

"I can't leave you like this. Come on."

The wolf whined as she got lifted gently up to her feet. Her body felt weak, but managed to put one foot in front of the other. Soon they came to a log cabin with a trail of smoke coming from the chimney. Opening the door, the dolphin lead the wolf to the couch and sat her down.

"Let's fix you a hot bath and then I'll dress your wound."

She disappeared into the next room and turned on the water, letting it fill the tub. Once it got the right height, she turned it off and went into the next room.

"Come on."

The wolf nodded and got helped up into the next room. The dolphin helped her into the tub as the warm water made the wolf murr a little.

"Be right back with a brush."

She came back with a brush and rubbed the soap into it getting a full lather. Slowly she brushed her back watching the clumps of dirt fall and turn the water a little brown.

"So what's your name?" the dolphin asked.

"Lara. You?"

"Honey."

Lara chuckled at that along with Honey.

"Yeah its a corny name but I like it. Wow, you must've been wrestling with something to have all this dirt on you."

Lara went quiet at this which Honey noticed.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"No, its nothing."

"Well, I'm finished here. There's a towel on the door and some spare clothes on the bed. I'll cook us something to eat."

Honey left as Lara got up and dried herself. She looked into the mirror at herself. She was a dark grey wolf with yellow eyes and black hair. She let out a growl before getting dressed. The smell of fish caught her nose as she walked out wearing a pair of sweat pants and a short sleeve shirt.

"Let me dress your wound and then we'll eat."

Lara nodded and sat down as Honey opened her first aid hit. She sprayed some antiseptic on it making Lara whine as it stung. She then proceeded to wrap her shoulder up gently. After a few minutes, she was done.

"Okay, lets eat."

Honey went into the kitchen and brought back two plates, each holding a baked trout, rice and corn.

"So what were you doing out there, if I may ask?"

Lara folded her ears down and sighed.

"Don't feel like talking about it."

"Understandable."

"Thank you."

They ate in silence before finishing. Honey washed the plates and went into the bedroom before coming back with a blanket and a pillow.

"Since its late, you should get some rest."

"Thank you."

Honey nodded her head before going back into her room. Lara laid out on the couch and under the covers. She had a long night and as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out cold.

Russ woke up with a soft murr as he felt his chest being rubbed softly. He opened his eyes to see Angel on his hips rubbing his chest.

"Mmmmm, what a way to wake up."

"I would do more, but you need your energy," Angel said laying on top kissing his nose as Russ held her.

"How about some coffee then?"

"That I can do. Cream and sugar?"

"Little bit of both."

Angel nodded and gave him a kiss before hopping off and getting dressed, making sure Russ got a full show.

"Tease," he chuckled before sitting up in his boxers.

He let out a wide yawn showing his sharp teeth before licking his lips. Grabbing his toothbrush, he walked to the bathroom. He passed his brother's room and peeked in. Emily had a smile on her face cuddled under the blanket but didn't see Dan. Shrugging his shoulders, he brushed his teeth and combined his hair and fur before getting dressed. The smell of coffee hit his nose as he walked downstairs to see Angel munching on a muffin.

"Here you go wolfie," she said handing him a cup.

"Much oblige cutie." Russ said taking a sip with a murr. "Did Dan come home last night?"

"He's out back with Steele. He looks a little down."

"I wonder why?"

"Beats me. Go cheer him up while I'll wake miss sleepy head."

Russ finished the rest of his coffee before heading out back. He saw Dan sitting there, shoulders slumped and head down, Steele around his neck.

"Good job last night."

Dan didn't say anything as his mind wander. A lick on the cheek from Steele snapped him out of his trance.

"When did you get here?" he asked looking at Russ.

"Few moments ago. What's wrong?"

"I actually spoke to the president last night. He called me a teenager."

"You still are Daniel. As well as me."

"But I heard them all. They think I'm incompetent."

Russ chuckled before holding his hand.

"This is not like you to let what other people say affect you."

"I actually felt.........ashamed of my age."

Angel heard from the window and frowned. She headed upstairs into Dan's room to see Emily murring and grinding her hips.

"Wake up sex fiend," Angel said shaking her lightly.

"I'm.....almost....there," she murred out.

Emily sighed before laughing as Angel tickled.

"Okay okay I'm up." Emily laughed.

"Then hurry up and get dressed."

Emily sat up and yawn, stretching her arms into the air. Looking in the dresser, she grabbed a pair of loose fitting slacks and a white shirt. Getting dressed, they went downstairs to hear grunting and chuckling. Looking out, they saw Russ on top of Dan, both breathing hard.

"Are we disturbing you two?" Angel said standing next to Emily.

Russ chuckled before rolling off Dan and sitting on the grass.

"Just having a little fun. I'm allowed to do that right?" Dan said.

"How come you never play with me like that?" Emily pouted.

"Because you would cry and it would make me feel bad afterwards."

"No I........."

She couldn't finish as she let out a surprise bark as Dan tackled her to the ground, pinning her hands above her head.

"That hurt," she said in a growl.

"Told you."

"Next time warn me."

"But where's the fun in that."

Emily let out a humph before a soft gasp as Dan nipped her neck. She wrapped her legs around his waist as they ground into each other.

"Easy there you two. Remember we're outside," Russ said.

"Ahh, but he feels so good," Emily pouted as they both got up.

"I'm going to enjoy the rest of my day off in bed." Dan said.

"Okay. We're going to head out and get some paperwork done," Russ said heading down the path with Angel.

She chuckled as Russ looked at her.

"Sometimes its hard to tell if you're his brother or father."

"I try to be both for both our sakes," Russ said with a laugh getting in the car.

Lara jogged through the forest, following the directions Honey gave her. Her slim body kicking up the leaves and twigs around her feet.

"I really hope I lost him."

She reached the exit of the forest and the start of the city as she smiled.

"Wow, it looks so different. I wonder if everything is still the same?"

She entered the city with a jog, unknown to her that she was followed quite a distance away. The man smiled as she entered the city.

"What do we do alpha?" a man asked looking up at the tall dark skin man.

"Its time to go hunting again boys. You remember the game we played in Greenville?"

They all nodded as he smiled.

"Endo, go into town and find a suitable den and hunting ground."

"Of course alpha," a pudgy man with short hair said walking towards the city.

"What should we do about the dolphin?" a slim man said.

"Lets have some fun before breakfast."

"Morning Russell," Susan said with a smile.

"Morning Susan," Russ said grabbing his messages. "Wow, I got a call from him. Never thought he'd call me."

They headed upstairs to their office and sat down. Russ turned on his computer as it booted up with a whir. Typing in his password, he started in on his work. Irons walked in, a cup of coffee in one hand, cigar in the other.

"Dan actually took the day off huh?"

"You said he could chief. Want me to call him?" Russ asked.

"No. He's done his job. Got a call from the office of the president thanking him for a job

well done."

"Wow, that's big praise." Angel said.

"Indeed. Anyway, you still owe me the Trolli case along with the Sonny murders."

"Working on those now chief," Russ said typing away.

"Good." Irons said before leaving.

Eleven rolled by as Russ yawned.

"Russell, what's up man?" Billy said walking in.

"Same old Billy. What's up?"

"Want to join me for lunch? I'm heading down to the Sunkist Cafe. They make a mean tuna melt."

"Sure why not. You girls coming?"

"Indeed." they said.

Endo sat on the park bench, legs crossed and arms spread out on the back. He had on a pair of black shorts along with a white jersey and black shoes with no socks. He looked down the path to see his pack walking up.

"Did you find suitable places?" the alpha asked.

"Of course my alpha. Only the best for you," Endo said lowering his head.

"Excellent. How about the prey?"

"They are all suitable for you."

"Good. Take me to the den."

"Of course."

Endo lead them around the park before crossing the street and walking a block passing a couple of bus stops as people got on and off. He led them to a large ten story building and unlocked the front door. Hitting the elevator button, they climbed in and went to the top floor.

"Here we are my alpha, suit number eighteen."

Endo opened the door as they all looked amazed. The place looked something out of a rock star magazine. In the living room was a jukebox, love seat, giant beanbag chair and a pool table all on top of a white carpet. On the wall was a fifty inch plazma TV. Under it was a mantle with a couple of lava lamps and a nice surround sound system.

"My god Endo, how did you get this?"

"The land lady was very helpful."

The man walked over to the window which overlooked the city. Endo walked over and stood behind him.

"You see my alpha, that's our hunting ground, the Fresh Pond bike trail."

"You've done me well Endo."

"Thank you alpha. I also found a place where the prey runs wild."

"Really? What place is this?"

"Its a place called the Dungeon, just about three blocks from here."

The man looked out the window admiring the view before he smiled.

"Yeah. He went inside and probably won't get out the bed anytime soon." Russ said.

"I have to admit though, chief is really depending on you two. Every since you guys joined a year ago and a half ago, we've solved a lot of cases and got tons of press notice."

"We're happy to help and do our job."

"Just think, before you guys came along, I was always the one getting the phone calls late in the night. Now that your here, I can sleep easily."

They all laughed before Russ's watched beeped marking the end of lunch. Everybody got up and left their share of money before walking back.

"Well since its Friday, you guys want to come over my house and hang?" Billy asked.

"Sounds fun. I'd like to see where you live," Emily said.

"As do I." Angel added.

"Then its a date. Come on over around eight."

"We'll be there," Russ said with a smile.

"Here you are," the beaver said opening the door. "Bathroom's down the hall along with the spare bedroom. Rent is due next month since you paid for this month. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, thank you. Thanks for everything," Lara said.

The beaver left with a nod as Lara sat down on the couch. She was lucky to find a room for rent for cheap. She got up and looked out the window. It gave a small view of a baseball park as kids were playing and laughing. Letting out a sigh, she walked into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Sapphire eyes looked back along with a pretty face that was topped with medium size auburn hair. A locket attached to a chain was around her neck which she held close.

"I have to find you."

"Sanzo, are you listening?"

Sanzo snapped out his trance and looked at Merlin.

"I'm sorry Merlin. Did you say something?"

The books around Merlin turned by themselves as he looked at him.

"Something troubling you old friend?"

"Its nothing Merlin. Please forgive me."

The books floated down to the desk as Merlin folded his hands.

"Speak to me Sanzo. You don't seem your usual self today."

Sanzo let out a sigh and closed his eyes.

"I can't stop thinking about her."

"Ahh, thinking about the love you lost huh?"

"I never should've let her leave like that but I was too stubborn."

Merlin chuckled before patting his back.

"You weren't stubborn my friend. You were young. Young people do foolish things when it comes to love."

"If you can call with I did foolish. I forced her out my life."

"You didn't force her my friend. She made the decision herself and you backed her up

because you wanted her to be happy."

Sanzo rubbed his horn before going down to his chin.

"I guess your right. But I'll do anything just to hold her again."

"Don't worry my friend," Merlin said as the books opened up and floated in the air. "We all get a second chance at life."

"I hope so Merlin."

Evening came quick as the line at the Dungeon was long as people were anxious to get in and bust a move. Endo waited in line with his three buddies as they were next in line. The huge ursine called them over and looked at them.

"Drinking tonight?" he asked in a deep voice.

"Of course," they all said.

"IDs please."

They all presented their IDs as the bear looked at them. Satisfied, he handed them back and added a band around their wrists.

"Welcome to the Dungeon. If you cause trouble, you'll regret it."

They walked into the club as the bass assaulted their ears and strobe lights flashed into their eyes. Finding a seat, the leader inhaled deeply and let out something between a growl and a sigh.

"Now this, is a hunting ground."

"I'm glad you approve alpha." Endo said.

"Endo, take Dwight and Tangle with you and examine the playing field."

"Of course alpha. Should we look for the usual?" Dwight asked.

"Surprise me."

They nodded and disappeared into the dance floor. His eyes surveyed everything before he got up and went to the bar ordering an Alabama Slammer and sitting back down. He took a sip, letting the alcohol burn his throat and stomach as he grinned.

"Not bad." he said to himself before he remembered why he was here. "Maybe I'll get lucky and find my true prey."

He finished it quickly before getting a second and a third. Halfway into his third, his followers came back with a stunning looking dragoness. The strobe lights reflected off her scales giving her a rainbow look.

She blushed which was hidden due to the lights flashing.

She nodded her head before having a seat next to him.

"Yeah, my rookie year was a disaster. I did all kinds of stupid stuff."

"What about Daniel? How was he?" Emily asked taking a sip of brandy.

"Oh god, Dan and the chief were always arguing. Everyday you could hear them upstairs

yelling at each other," Billy chuckled. "To be honest, I kind of think the chief liked it."

Russ took the rest of his brandy in one gulp as a goofy grin appeared on his muzzle. Billy looked at him before chuckling.

"Care for a shot bro?"

"Sure, why not," Russ said, his speech a bit slurred.

Billy poured them both a shot of Jack Daniels before downing them as Russ gave a hic. Billy's ears perked as he heard a knock at his door.

"Wonder who that is?"

He got up and unlocked the door before opening it to see Irons standing there.

"Chief!? What are you doing here?"

"I went by Russell's place and nobody was there so I figured I come here. Mind if I join you?"

"Of course not. The more the merrier."

Irons smiled and walked in as Emily and Angel greeted him.

"Evening chief." they said.

"We're not on duty. Call me Irons."

"Sure thing."

Irons looked down at Russ who was sitting crossed legged on the floor swaying a little.

"A little tispy there Russell."

Russell looked up at him before chuckling.

"I'm not there yet Irons. Maybe a couple more."

"Care for a shot Irons?" Billy said from the kitchen grabbing an extra shot glass.

"Of course. Hit me hard." Irons said taking a seat on the recliner.

After a couple more shots and brandy, everybody was chuckling and laughing like little kids.

"I'm telling you, Russ and Dan really saved me that time." Billy said.

"We always save you," Russ said, head spinning.

"You guys are the best thing that happened to our department. I owe you my thanks," Irons said.

"You damn right you do." Russ said with a hint of a growl which caught everybody off guard. "If it wasn't for us, SNDU wouldn't even be recognized. We brought life to this unit."

"Russell, what's wrong with you?" Billy asked.

"Nothings wrong. I'm just stating the obvious."

"What obvious is that?" Irons asked as he smirked realizing what was happening.

"I should be chief."

Everybody let out a gasp at that.

"Why should you be chief Russell?" Irons asked, a deep playful smirk on his muzzle.

"I'll tell you why." Russell said struggling to his feet as he swayed back and forth a little. "Cause I'm the one who figures everything out before anybody else."

"That doesn't qualify."

"Then how about I'm the only one who can do things that no one else can do? Plus not to mention all the times I saved your lives? As far as I'm concerned "Irons", you don't

deserve to be chief anymore."

Irons left eyebrow twitched as he looked at Russell.

"Easy there Russell. Drunk or not, I will put you in your place." Irons said smoothly.

"I'd like to see you try."

Irons moved so quick that everybody gasped except for Russ who let out a yelp as his face hit the seat of the recliner. Irons twisted both his arms behind his back and snapped on the cuffs. Russ tried to struggle but an evil growl from Irons and a bite to the neck made him freeze and whine.

"Wow Irons, I didn't know you could move like that," Billy said amazed.

"I may be old, but I don't lose any of my training."

Irons sat up and looked down at Russ. He was covered in a thin layer of sweat as his body was lifeless. A goofy content smile could be seen on his muzzle as he was out cold.

"Guess I wore him out," Irons chuckled. "Sorry about the mess."

"Don't worry about it." Billy said getting up. "I have room service coming tomorrow.

Since you guys are probably worn out, you can use the spare rooms."

"Thank you Billy," the girls said.

"Shower's on the right along with the towels."

Irons undid the cuffs before gently rolling Russ over and picking him up still tied as Russ let out a sigh as he got carried into the bedroom and under the covers. He gave Irons a lick under the chin before holding him tight in his sleep. Irons chuckled before throwing an arm around him.

"You are right about one thing Russ," Irons said to himself. "Without you or Dan, SNDU would cease to exist."

Lara let out a sigh as she was happy to be off her feet.

"I can't thank you enough for getting me a job with you."

"Its no problem," the beaver, now known as May said with a smile sitting down also. "I'm surprised you did so good on your first day."

"I use to work in a bar once, so I remember a couple of things."

"The manager was pleased as that too. You hungry?"

"A bit."

"Okay, I'll make us something quick and simple," May said getting up.

Lara let out a yawn and stretched before walking into her room. She disrobed quickly and tossed a towel over her body and went to the bathroom. Turning on the shower, she took a quick wash off before drying and putting on her sleeping clothes. Heading out, the smell of mac and cheese made her stomach growl.

"Always a favorite," Lara said walking into the kitchen to see two plates made.

"Mine too."

They ate with some idle chatter before the sound of thunder was heard overhead and the droplets of rain began to fall.

"Guess its time to turn in," May said collecting the plates.

"Thanks for the food."

"Anytime."

"Have a goodnight May. Thanks again for everything."

"Your welcome Lara. Goodnight."

Lara walked into her room and closed the door getting under the covers. Fluffing the pillows, she sunk into them as she sighed.

"I'm going to find you. Just wait for me."

The theme to Super Mario brothers was heard in the room making Irons groan. He reached over to the nightstand and found his cell phone as he opened it.

"Irons speaking." he said groggily.

"Sorry to wake you on the weekend chief but we have a DB." Susan said.

"Where at?" he said rubbing his eyes.

"Fresh Pond bike trail, about a quarter mile in."

"Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can. Have Sam put up a perimeter around the scene."

"Well do chief."

Irons threw his feet over the side of the bed before stretching and yawning. He put a hand to the back of his neck rolling it around with a sigh. Looking back, he saw Russell still asleep with is back turned. He gave a chuckle at what happened last night before reaching over and shaking him.

"Rise and shine drunkard."

"Just five more minutes. My head's still spinning lightly." Russ moaned softly.

"Sorry. Just got a call from Susan. DB in Fresh Pond trail."

"Grrr," Russ growled lightly. "I guess I have no choice huh?"

"Nope."

"I'll make a pit stop by my house and freshen up with the girls. I'll meet you and Billy there."

"Okay," Irons said slipping on his pants.

Russ waked over and gave Irons a hug and a kiss on the lips.

"Thanks for last night. We have to do it again sometime, my alpha."

"Heh, if you insist," Irons said blushing.

"I do," Russ said stealing a squeeze of Irons crotch making him yip in surprise. "See you there."

Irons stood there dumbfounded for a second before chuckling and putting on the rest of his clothes. The weather was muggy and sticky as the storm clouds still loomed overhead threathening to unleash its furry down on the earth again. Russ pulled into the parking lot that marked the start of the trail as an ambulance and several police cars were there along with Billy's car. He got out and did an extra stretch in his jeans shorts and khaki shirt. The girls had similar shorts but were regular shirts, their badges hung around their neck. They walked into trial, swatting the small bugs that flew around. Soon the smell of decomp hit their noses.

"Over here guys," Billy said with a wave. He had on windbreaker pants with the left leg rolled up and a shirt which read "You can't handle this" with an arrow pointing towards his crotch. "This is an ugly one here."

"Nice shirt," Emily said giggling with Angel.

"Don't hate." Billy said with a wink..

They walked to where Irons was. He was talking to some joggers as his pad and pen were put taking notes. Sam was over by the body, his tape recorder was on as he was taking notes.

"What are we looking at Sam?" Russ asked.

"A decimation. This poor girl never had a chance."

Russ took a look at the body before grimacing. It was an ugly sight. The dragoness's throat was completely torn out. Half her face was eaten away as the fleas flew in and out of the empty eye socket. Her body was slashed opened, ribcage exposed as her internal organs were eaten away. The wings on her back were shredded so there was no way for her to escape. The worst sight of it all was her tail was cut of and shoved into her vagina.

"My god," Emily said with a gasp. "What did this?"

"I don't know. But you can bet he or she will attack again. What's the cause of death?"

"The jugular vein went first then the neck was snap so death was quick. She never felt a thing."

"Any clue on what did this?"

"Not really. My people found a footprint in the mud. Everything else was washed away in the rain. Its right over there," Sam said pointing to the left.

They walked over to see another otter taking pictures before he shook up a plastic bag and broke it open pouring the contents of it over the print. When it dried, he let out a whistle.

"Man, whatever made this is huge."

"How big are we looking at?" Russ asked.

"Oh, hey Russ. Judging by the size, I say at least seven feet give or take."

Russ took a look at the mold as he never seen a print like that. It looked like a wolf and it didn't.

"Never seen a print like this before. Any clue as to what made it Roger?"

"Even this baffles me. I love a challenge though so when I get back to the lab, I'll have something to do." Roger said with a smile.

"Have fun," Russ said with a laugh.

They walked back to Irons who was talking to his crew.

"Do we have any idea what did this?" Irons asked.

"No chief. Everything was washed away except for the print." Billy said.

"Okay. Find out who her friends are and contact the family. Make sure to cover every angle so we can prevent this from happening again."

"Will do chief," everybody said before taking off.

King let out a yawn as he stood on the back porch. Tangle walked over and lowered his head.

"Any sign of her?"

"Not yet my alpha. Dwight is still looking as well as Endo but it looks like she masked her scent really good."

King let out a chuckle as a breeze passed over his bold head.

"Don't worry Tangle. She's out there. And when you find her, bring her to me so I can claim her."

"Yes my alpha." Tangle said bowing his head.

King's eyes surveyed the surroundings as the sounds of cars and buses were heard down below.

"Seems you want to play hide and seek Lara. Very well, I can play along with you."

Lara made a plate for herself and sat down eating.

"Sure. I can afford to lose a few pounds."

"Great. I can use someone to talk to."

"Let me grab a pair of shorts and a shirt." Lara said getting up.

May cleaned the dishes as she heard shuffling in the room.

"Okay," Lara said holding a plastic shopping bag. "Lets work out."

"Right on," May said with a smile.

Russ pulled to a stop at a single floor home. It had a brick walkway up the middle as well as a beautiful flower garden on each side. In the driveway was a Chevy Malibu, red with tinted windows.

"Nice car," Russ whistled as he closed the door to his Ford Focus. "Maybe I should upgrade. We had this car for too long."

"I kind of like it. It gives out a family feel." Angel said with a smile.

"Family huh?" Russ said quietly as he remembered his mom buckling him and his brother in for a ride.

"You okay Russ?" Emily asked.

"Yeah, just remembering. Come on."

Blushing Angel said, "About last night...."

They walked up the path to the well maintained house and up the front steps. Russ rang the doorbell as an excited voice could be heard.

"Just a moment." a soft voice said. "Joshua stop jumping on the couch."

The bolt come loose as a middle age blue dragoness opened the door. Her violet eyes looked at them before giving a cheerful smile.

"Yes, can I help you?"

"Good afternoon ma'am. My name is Russell Miller. These are my partners Angel and

Emily. We're from the SNDU. We came here to talk about your daughter Alice."

"Oh boy, what has she done this time?" the dragoness said with a roll of her eyes.

"May we come in? Its best if you sit down for this."

"Of course, please." she said making room.

The inside was very nice. A Persian rug greeted them followed by a hardwood floor that shined. It ended on the left side between an open arch which lead to the living room which had another rug. A sofa and love seat were placed along the wall as well as an entertainment center that was currently playing a video controlled by a small black dragon cub who was laying stomach first on a blue beanbag chair. Two recliners were on opposite sides of him as he was right in the middle.

"Please have a seat. Joshua turn that thing off."

"But mom......"

"Off."

He gave a slight whimper but saved his game and turned it off. Turning it around he saw Russ and the girls on the couch.

"Who are you?" he asked curiously.

"Manners Joshua."

"Its okay ma'am. My name is Russell. And you're Joshua I presume?"

"Yep. I'm nine years old."

"A big boy, very nice."

"Joshua go help your father out back."

"Okay mom." Joshua said and skipped out.

The dragoness let out a sigh before sitting down in a recliner.

"So what has my daughter done this time?"

"Well Mrs....."

"Moon, Jesscia Moon."

"Well Mrs. Moon we have terrible news."

"I'm listening."

"Your daughter Alice is.........dead."

There was a dead silence for a couple of seconds before Jessica laughed.

Emily pulled out some photos and hugged them.

Emily got up and handed the photos to her face down. Jessica took them with shaky hands. Turning them over, she let out a gasp before tears flooded her eyes.

They all had their heads down as she cried her heart out. A cheery voice was heard in the background.

"Come on daddy, come see the visitors."

Joshua entered holding the hand of a bull. He had on a pair of shorts and a tank top that was covered in dirt. He saw Jessica crying and rushed over.

"Jessica? Jessica, what's wrong?"

She couldn't stop crying before he noticed the pictures in her lap. He looked at them as his face went pale.

"Champ, go to your room please," the bull said softly, his voice cracking and on the verge

of crying.

Joshua gave a pout before going down the hall and closing his door. Once his door was closed, the bull looked at hem with anger and sadness.

"We don't know sir. she was discovered this morning in the Fresh Pond bike trail." Russ said.

"Christ, she didn't stand a chance." the bull said angrily as he held Jessica who cried into his chest. "Please tell me you have at least something to go on?"

"We found a footprint which we are trying to ID. If you could answer some simple questions, we would be grateful."

"Anything."

Russ nodded his head to Angel who took over.

"Did your daughter have any enemies of any kind?"

"Not that I know of. After she left for college, we haven't heard from her besides the usual phone calls on the weekends."

"Was she well liked? Did she do any kind of drugs?"

"Not in this house. I don't allow anything of that kind in my house."

"Do you know her sexual history? Did she have a boyfriend?"

The bull shrugged his shoulders before Jessica spoke up.

"She........she had a boyfriend. He came.......by with her one day."

"Do you remember his name?"

"Marc Rosenberg. A nice Dalmatian when I met him. She told me they have been seeing each other since the start of the semester."

"Would you have an address?"

"1460 Green street. A nice apartment complex uptown."

Russ wrote everything down in his pad before closing it and standing up.

"We thank you for you time and are deeply sorry for your loss." Russ said with a small bow.

"When can we pick up her body?" Jessica asked.

"Once we're done processing everything, she's all yours. Here's the number if you have any questions." Russ said handing her Sam's number.

"Please find who did this to her."

"You have my word ma'am. I won't rest til they are found and put down."

They got up and left the living room as the bull hugged Jessica who started to cry again. Reaching the front door, Russ heard a small whistle. Looking back down the hall, he saw Joshua wave his arms.

"What's up little man?"

"Is what you said about my sister true?"

Russ bent his ear down and looked at the floor.

"Yeah. I'm sorry kiddo."

"She always told me to be strong for mom when she left. I don't think I can anymore." he said tears starting to form.

"Hey look at me," Russ said as Joshua looked up at him. "You are a strong man. You

have to be so you can make your sister proud. She wouldn't want you to break your promise now would she?"

"Yeah your right." Joshua said wiping his eyes. "Will you get the bad guys that did this?"

"You have my word."

Joshua smiled and gave him a hug which surprised Russ but he returned it.

"Thanks mister."

"Your welcome."

Sanzo sat down in Merlin's chambers with his lunch, a philly chesse steak, soy chocolate milk and rice pudding.

"How can you eat that stuff?" Merlin asked with a chuckle.

Merlin had an egg salad sandwich on wheat, a slice of watermelon, piece of apple pie and a cup of kiwi strawberry shake.

"Its good for me. I'm a growing boy," Sanzo said taking a bite.

"Could've fooled me." Merlin chuckled.

"I like meat. Maybe if you ate a little more, you wouldn't be so skinny."

"Hmmm, touche."

They both let out a laugh as an elk walked in and bowed.

"Pardon me for interrupting master Merlin but the three new students are here."

"Excellent. Send them to room seventeen and I'll be right there."

"Yes sir."

Sanzo wiped his mouth as he left.

"We're getting a lot of new students lately."

"They all have potential my friend." Merlin said getting up.

"If you say so."

They walked to the door and proceeded out towards room seventeen.

"The annual guild meeting is coming up Merlin. Are you prepared?"

"Always. I should bring the brothers along. Let them see how we handle things."

Sanzo gave a grunt at that which made Merlin look at him.

"I don't like them being so close to you. Suppose they turn on you?"

"Your too over protective Sanzo. They would never harm me."

"Maybe Russell wouldn't, but Daniel is a different story. Every time I see him I just want to......."

Sanzo let out a snarl as sparks of lighting flew off his body.

"He's gotten over his anger Sanzo. You don't need to worry about him anymore."

"I don't care Merlin. He's a threat and as soon as he steps over the line, I'll kill him."

Merlin stopped Sanzo with his cane before standing in front of him, anger flashing in his eyes.

"Lets get one thing straight Sanzo. They will not turn on me."

"But Merlin......"

"Silence," he said angrily making the floor shake a little.

People stopped and looked at the two as Sanzo had his ears down.

"Your parents are dead yes. Sheryl has paid the consequences for her actions. Do not bear a grudge that has been settled a long time ago. That is not fair to them and not fair to me.

Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes master Merlin," Sanzo said shaking.

"Good. Now, lets get back to meeting the new students."

He froze when he caught her scent and looked around.

"She was just here, but where?"

He followed the scent til it ended at the street and vanished.

"Damn, she must've gotten a ride or bus. No matter, I'll let the alpha know."

"This is the place," Russ said getting out.

They were parked near a thirty floor apartment complex. It had a nice garden well maintained along with a swimming pool and an outdoor park for the kids that was packed at the moment. A couple of janitors were sweeping outside when Russ and the girls walked over.

They followed the sound of loud bass to a silver hummer with spinning rims. Four furs, a weasel, akita, poodle and a dalmatian were hanging around it.

"I do in the car," the dalmatian said opening the door.

When he closed it, Russ and the girls were standing there as the dalmatian looked them

"I'm Russell Miller from the SNDU. We need to ask you some questions," Russ said showing his badge.

All the furs went slient as they looked at each other.

"Cops, scram." the poodle said fleeing.

The furs scattered in a different direction as Russ looked at the girls.

"We going to chase them?" Angel asked.

He chanted a couple words before vines came out of a hole in the sky and flew in their directions the kids went. After a few minutes, they were bound and sitting on the floor next to the hummer.

"Now, lets try this again." Russ said with a smile.

"Fuck you Rex. You said he was clean," the akita snarled.

"It doesn't matter now does it." the weasel said. "We're busted. I going to get raped and

be somebody's bitch."

"Your already a bitch for crying," Marc said.

The furs kept arguring as Russ rubbed his temples.

"QUIET." he yelled.

All the teens let out a whimper and folded their ears.

"First off, I don't care what you do to your body. Second, I didn't come to bust you. I came here to ask about Alice."

Everybody looked at each other before looking at Marc.

"We heard from her mom that you dated her Marc. Is that true?"

"Yeah. We've been going out for about six months."

"Where were you last night?"

"That's all lady. I loved Alice and would never hurt her. Just ask these three. Sure we

Russ looked at Marc's eyes for a sec, his eyes glowing dimly.

"He's telling the truth." he said to himself.

Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out his card and placed it on the windshield.

"If you have any other info for me, call me. My cell phone is always on."

"Okay."

"Thanks for your time," Russ said snapping his fingers as the vines came loose.

They started to walk away before Russ stopped and looked back.

"Oh yeah, I'll be holding on to this." he said holding up a small bag.

"Hey no fair. That cost me fifty bucks." the weasel shouted.

"You want to go to jail for possession then?"

They all folded their ears and shook their heads.

"Good." Russ said with a smile as his phone rang. "This is Russ. You have some info on the footprint? Good, we'll be right there."

"Yes?"

"I found her scent alpha."

King turned and looked at him.

"Where?"

"It was by a gym in downtown but I lost it. She probably took a bus or got a ride. I'm sorry."

King smiled before patting his shoulder.

"Nothing to be sorry about. She's here and she's knows we're looking for her. That's good

King walked into the living room where Tangle and Endo were.

Russ and the girls rode the elevator down to the labs. Hearing the ding, the door opened as various people were walking, talking, and testing stuff. They walked down the hall saying hi to a couple of people before walking into Roger's lab. He was at a table testing dirt samples for a homicide that was due for court. "Same old Rog. What's all this?"

"Different soil samples from backyards. I have to match and compare to the soil found on

"I bet. You said you had info on the footprint."

Roger got up and lead them down a hall to a single room where a saint bernard was looking at the mold.

"This here is Rusty, a friend of mine who specializes on prints."

Rusty looked up at them, his glasses showing his light green eyes.

"So they do exist. My god this is incredible."

"Find anything about the print?" Roger asked.

"This my friend, is an honest to god werewolf footprint."

Roger started to laugh causing Rusty to growl.

"Come on Rusty. Its a little old to be believing in fairy tales."

"You ask for my help and I gave it to you dickhead."

Russ walked over to the table where the mold was under a computer being scanned by several lasers.

"Are you sure its a werewolf?" Russ asked.

"I don't lie wolf."

"What kind of werewolf?" Russ asked looking at the mold again.

"A lycan."

The girls let out a gasp as Russ looked at them.

"Are you sure?" Emily asked. "Those have been extinct for quite some time."

"I've read my history book foxy." Rusty said taking off his glasses and cleaning them.

"How do I find it?" Russ asked.

"Don't know, that's the fun part," Rusty said sitting down at the computer typing away.

"Judging by the print's size, I'd say the lycan is roughly seven feet, maybe eight in wolf form. Human form it can vary."

Russ crossed his arms as his tail swished back and forth.

"How do I kill it?"

"Anything can hurt it but to kill it completely, you need to take off the head. They can

regenerate at a rapid pace."

Russ looked at his watch as it was seven in the evening.

"Can you give me a folder on everything you know Rusty?"

"Sure. I can have it to you by tomorrow."

"Thanks. Come on girls, lets go."

"Where are we going?" Angel asked.

"Grocery shopping. The kitchen's bare." Russ grinned.

His eyes scanned the crowd on the dance floor for his next hunt. He stopped when he saw a stunning eagle dancing to the beat. She had on a tight and very short pair of jeans shorts that showed her powerful legs which moved with grace.

She turned around and put her arms around his neck, glancing into his diamond white eyes as he did the same to her pink eyes.

The nocturnal life was in full effect as the stars shined brightly in the sky. The moon beams shined down through the clouds that littered the sky but didn't cover it. With a sigh, he let the pendent drop back onto his chest. He continued walking, trying to clear his thoughts when he heard a scream.

"What the.........."

His ears perked up as he heard running footsteps. Not thinking twice, he ran towards the footsteps as another scream of help was heard. He took another turn before running into another person as they both hit the ground. He rubbed his head before somebody or something grabbed him.

"Please, you have to help me. They're after me."

Sanzo looked at the person shaking him as his eyes went wide. The first thing he noticed was her shirt was ripped off as her chest fur was covered with blood. Looking up, her hair was missing in some places as blood came down.

"What happened to you?" Sanzo asked.

"These wolves are after me. Something about a game or hunt. I can't believe I let him talk me into this."

"What guy? What wolves?" Sanzo asked confused.

She was about to answer when a howl was heard. Sanzo felt an evil presence as he stood up quickly, putting her behind him. Heavy footsteps could be heard all around but he couldn't see anything as the pursuers hid in the trees.

"Don't interfere with our prey." a voice said with a growl.

"Innocent women are not prey," Sanzo said angrily.

There were feral laughter all around.

"A fair warning friend, leave now while you can still walk."

"Talk is cheap."

"Very well. You've been warned."

Rustling was heard all around as the wolves walked out into the moonlight. Sanzo looked at them as he never seen wolves like them. Two of them were grey as one was white. He stood his ground as they circled him.

"Stay close to me," Sanzo whispered.

"Don't have to tell me twice."

The two gray wolves jumped at him. Sanzo grabbed the one on the right while casting a spell which sent the other one flying into a tree. Turning his attention to the one he grabbed, he managed to duck a swipe to the head before countering with a body blow that lifted the wolf off his feet before throwing him over his shoulder into a tree hearing it yelp.

"Seems you the only one left." Sanzo said looking at the white one.

"I'll cut your head off," the wolf snarled and lunged at him.

Sanzo stood there watching the wolf lunge at him before his eyes flashed a deep purple. The wolf was inches away before it let out a yelp as the tree behind Sanzo grabbed it and pulled it into the air.

"Humph, all bark and no bite. Are you okay?"

"Barely."

"Lets get you some help."

Sanzo turned only to have his throat grabbed and lifted into the air with ease. He let out a gag as it squeezed tighter. He opened one eye to see a pair of white eyes staring at him along with a row of white teeth that glistened in the moonlight from the saliva coming off of them. Other then that, he couldn't see anything else.

"What the........."

"Don't mess with my prey," the wolf said as it got revealed by the moon.

Sanzo started to get light headed before the wolf let out a grunt and looked behind him. Marvette had a tree branch in her hand which broke on contact.

"Bitch," the wolf growled and struck her with a back kick that sent her sliding on the ground.

Sanzo felt the grip weaken a little as he pried his neck loose and rolled on the ground coughing and taking in huge gasps of air.

"I don't like when people mess with my hunt."

Sanzo looked up at the wolf. It looked like a walking wall of black with sharp claws and piercing white eyes. Standing up, he noticed he was about two feet shorter also.

"You may be tall, but I'll take you down just like the others." Sanzo growled.

He ran up and pulled his fist back as far as it would go and swung with power as he connected with the black wolf's muzzle snapping his head to the right. The wolf let out a feral chuckle before turning its head back, a gleam in its eyes as if it was enjoying this.

"Is that all?"

Sanzo threw lefts and rights but nothing seem to phaze him. He threw a left uppercut that was blocked halfway.

"My turn," the wolf said showing its teeth in a smile.

The wolf grabbed his other arm and brought his head down which connected with a sick crunch on Sanzo's nose which rocked his senses. The wolf gave two more before letting his arms go and kicking him square in the chest sending him flying into a tree stump. Blood streamed down Sanzo's nose as his vision was a bit blurry. He felt the ground shake as he shook his head and looked up in time to see the wolf leap into the air. Rolling to his right, he felt the ground shake as the the wolf split the stump in half from sheer force, but also got his hand caught.

"I got you now."

Sanzo managed to jump and brought his weight down into his attack as he landed a solid right into the jaw of the wolf bringing it to one knee. Not stopping, he reared back and landed another one making the wolf grunt in pain.

"Not so tough now are you?" Sanzo yelled throwing another blow as traces of blood

could be seen flying from the wolf's muzzle.

"Its not over yet."

The wolf broke free with a snarl and landed a solid blow to the chin of Sanzo that lifted him backwards a few feet and onto the ground. The wolf licked its busted lip before grinning as a dazed and out of it Sanzo struggled to his knees.

"Now who's not so tough?"

Sanzo let out a growl as he concentrated, fire forming in his hands. He heard the footsteps get closer.

"Just a little closer you son of a bitch."

When the wolf got close enough, Sanzo sprang to his feet with a fireball in his hand.

"Explosion."

When the ball made contact with the wolf's chest, it let out a bang as the wolf was sent flying in the air, smoke coming from its body. It landed in a bush about twenty feet away with a thud. Sanzo let out a sigh and almost fell over before catching himself.

"Damn, what a monster."

He looked towards the eagle who hadn't moved as he made his way towards her. He managed to take a couple of steps before he heard laughter.

"Ohhh, that tingled." the wolf said standing up and patting his chest where a huge burn

mark was. "But if you want to kill me, you'll have to do better then that."

Sanzo looked shocked as the burn area healed quickly. The burnt fur and skin molded back into shape. The wolf took off in a sprint towards Sanzo and was on him in a couple strides as he connected with a shoulder block sending Sanzo flying into a tree. Sanzo coughed up blood before he felt his neck get grabbed and lifted up, his back against the tree.

"My turn."

The wolf reared back and connected hard with a massive body blow that shook the tree Sanzo had his back on. He connected again with those massive hands as each blow made Sanzo's insides do flips. The wolf chuckled as he let him go before taking a couple of steps back. Sanzo lifted his head weakly to see the wolf take one step forward before spinning and driving his foot full force into his chest cracking the tree along with a couple of ribs as Sanzo fell to the ground. The wolf reached down for him but stopped and chuckled.

"You amuse me rhino. I'll let you live for now. Don't get in the way of my hunt again."

That was the last thing Sanzo heard before blacking out.

"I just know I forgot something." Emily said, shopping bags in her arms.

"You pretty much bought the whole store. What could you have possibly forgot?" Russ said with a chuckle.

"I should have bought those edible panties for Daniel."

"Sex fiend," Angel giggled.

"I'm a fox, sue me," Emily said sticking out her tongue.

They walked up to the porch stairs and to the front door. Russ put the key in the door but it was opened.

"Somebody's here," Russ said taking out his gun.

He pushed the door opened slowly and carefully made his way in. He noticed blood drops on the floor leading to the living room. Turning the corner, his eyes went wide at the sight.

"Sanzo!?"

The girls rushed in and let out a gasp as they saw him. He was slumped in a corner as blood dripped out the corner of his mouth. His horn was slightly cracked as his clothes were a mixture of grass, mud, and blood. Russ ran over and gently touched his shoulder making him groan as he opened one eye.

"Sorry.....to intrude. I couldn't......face Merlin.....like this."

"What happened Sanzo?" Emily said rushing to his side.

"Saved......lady......from attack in.....park. They.....attacked.....me instead."

"How many were there?" Russ asked.

"Four. Three of.....them were.....easy. But the.......other one......"

He couldn't finish as blood flew from the cough he did.

"Sanzo don't talk. Angel, help me please," Emily said placing her hand on his chest.

"Of course."

Russ looked at Sanzo. Even though he hated him, nobody deserved to be beat up like this.

"So there are four lycans huh? Hopefully Rusty has everything for me tomorrow."

"There's too much damage. We have to take him to the hospital," Angel said.

"Okay. Go take care of him. I'll clean up here."

"Right. Let's go Angel," Emily said as Angel nodded and disappeared.

Russ looked at the empty space to see a small puddle of blood.

"If one of them can manage to injury Sanzo like that, then we're in deep trouble."

The sun rose up under a fog as the morning people woke up groggily for their daily routine. Lara woke up with a stretch as she dangled her feet over the bed. Her head hurt from the Friday rush of people at the bar as she scratched her head. Grabbing some panties and bra, she slipped into the shower taking a quick wash off before walking into the kitchen as the auto coffee maker was done making coffee. She grabbed a cup and sat down as she heard a groan enter the bathroom.

"Your up early," May said.

"I'm an early bird. Coffee?"

"Yes please."

Lara poured her a cup and gave it to her as she gave a thank you and sat down.

"What happened to you yesterday? You just up and ran away so suddenly."

Lara held her head down looking at her cup.

"Its okay if you don't want to tell me."

"I was.......running from my ex."

"Is he abusive to you?"

Lara closed her eyes remembering the towering mass of wolf that haunted her.

"You could say something like that."

"Did you call cops?"

"Its.......not that simple. He's.........different."

May looked confused but didn't press the issue.

"Forget I asked. Did you enjoy last night?"

"It was crazy but fun."

"Good. Cause tonight is even worse."

"I can take it," Lara said with a smile making both girls chuckle.

"Alpha, we're sorry for being so weak and accept any punishment you see fit for us."

Tangle said as all three of them were on their knees face down on the floor.

King sat on the window sill, his right arm on his knee as his other leg dangled on the ground. He had a feather in his mouth as he stared out the window. He looked down at his pack before chuckling.

"No need to be sorry. He was better then you anyway."

"Should we find him and kill him?" Endo asked.

"No. Knowing a guy like him, he'll be back for more."

"What shall we hunt for today alpha?" Dwight asked.

King hopped off the window sill, running the feather under his chin.

"I'm going for a walk. I want to see this city for myself."

"Shall one of us accompy you?" Tangle asked.

"Nah, I'll be fine. Hold down the fort for me Tangle."

"Of course alpha."

Russell walked into the station that was half empty due to the weekend. He made a beeline to Roger's office where he and Rusty were chatting away. They looked up when he entered.

"Hey doggie, what's shaky?" Roger said.

"You got my info?" Russ asked looking at Rusty.

"Yeah right here," Rusty said digging in his backpack and pulling out a brown folder.

"Thanks." Russ said taking it and heading out.

"Hey Russ what's wrong?" Roger asked.

Russ stopped at the door before looking back.

"They attacked one of my best friend's friend. I'll be damn if I let them get away with that."

Roger was about to say something when the intercom came alive.

"Attention all personal. We have a DB at the Fresh Pond bike trail. All available personal please assist Sam with the collection of evidence. Thank you."

"Roger can you head down there and do some scouting for me?" Russ asked.

"Sure. I'll take Rusty with me." Roger said getting up.

"Thanks, I owe you one."

Russ headed out the building and walked down the street. He opened the folder and began to briefly scan the papers. While walking, he passed a person which made his tail stand on edge. He looked back to see a tall dark skin man with a Suns jersey and jean shorts. He had his hands behind his head and a feather in his mouth. Russell watched him turn the corner out of sight.

"Wow, what a felling I got from him."

He didn't even realize his hackles were raised and his ears were folded on his head. He shook his head and continued down the street. Looking at his watch, he noticed it was almost lunch time. His stomach growled and looked up to see he was close to his grandmother's favorite diner. With a grin, he trotted over and entered.

Emily and Angel waited outside the hospital room nervous. They called Merlin and were waiting his arrival. A soft ding caught their attention as the elevator doors opened and Merlin walked out.

"How his he?" he asked walking over.

"Doctor said he had a collapsed lung, two broken ribs and a concussion but he'll pull

through." Angel said.

"Who did this?"

The girls looked at each other before looking at Merlin.

"Lycans master Merlin," Emily said softly.

"Lycans you say? But they've been extinct for quite some time."

"We saw a footprint made by one of them. They are pretty much alive."

Merlin rubbed his beard as his mind began to wander. The door opened up as a doctor walked out.

"How his he?" Merlin asked.

"He's strong, so he'll be up and about soon master Merlin. We have a couple of healers in

there also."

"I see, thank you."

"Of course. If you'll excuse me," the doctor said with a short nod of his head. Merlin

watched him leave before looking at the girls.

"Keep me posted on everything. Leave out nothing."

"Yes Merlin," they said.

"I'm going to help Sanzo. Go tell Russell what I told you."

Russ pulled to a stop at the Copperhills apartments before getting out. He had a brown paper bag with his grandmother's favorite lunch food, chicken and alfredo soup with broccoli, potato and a side of apple pie.

"She's going to love this surprise."

He walked up the path before his tail spiked up. A portal opened as Emily and Angel walked out.

"How is he?" Russ asked continuing up the path.

"Doctor said he'll pull through. Merlin's with him to help with the healing process." Angel said.

"That's good news, I guess."

"You still have a grudge against him?" Emily said.

"He started it first." Russ said in a soft growl as he opened the door.

Romeo was in the living room when he heard the door open.

"Well well, if it isn't my second wet dream in the flesh. How goes tall and handsome?"

"Doing good Romeo. Just visiting my grandmother."

"I see you brought Emily and her friend. Hello there, I'm Romeo," he said extending his

paw to Angel.

"I'm Angel. Nice to meet you."

He gave her a smile and a wink before turning back to Russell.

"So Russ baby, when are you going to give me my interrogation?" Romeo murred, his tail wagging happily.

"Sorry Romeo, but I'm already taken by Angel."

"Your point?"

Russ rolled his eyes with a chuckle before walking past him to the elevator.

"Keep playing hard to get baby. I will get what I want from you."

"One day you might Romeo but for now, your out of luck." Russ said as the elevator opened.

They huddled in before Romeo held the door open.

"Your brother stood me up last night. I don't appreciate that."

"If we're called in Romeo, we have no choice but to answer."

"Job or not, I got denied and now he's going to pay."

Russ's eyes flashed with lighting as he grabbed Romeo by the neck and slammed him against the elevator wall making it shake.

"Friend or not Romeo, you threaten my brother and I will not be gentle with you. Do I make myself clear?"

"Ohhhh, I love it when........"

"Do I make myself CLEAR?" Russell growled out the last word as his grip tightened making Romeo gag.

"Yes," Romeo whined out.

Russ let go and gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"Good. Now get out."

Romeo nodded before hastily stepping out the elevator as the doors closed. Looking down, he saw his erection straining his shorts.

"Better take care of this while that encounter is still fresh in my mind," Romeo grinned happily as he dashed off to his room.

The elevator opened with a ding as everybody got out.

"Russell? Is Romeo......."Angel started.

"Gay? Oh yeah, very much so. He's got a heavy crush on Dan though. Got his first kiss

from him when Dan was nineteen." Russ said with a laugh. "He's also very submissive, I

think Dan and I should show him what being a bitch means."

"I see."

They stopped at room 382 and knocked.

"One moment," Richlene said.

She opened the door as her eyes went wide.

"Russell!? Well this is a surprise."

"Hello grandmom." Russ said happily, his tail wagging non stop.

"What brings you by dear?"

"Brought you your favorite lunch."

"Oh my, so sweet. Come in, make yourself at home."

Taking off their shoes, they walked into the living room where the Price is Right was playing on the TV as they took a seat. Richlene came in with her food and sat down on the couch. Russ took off his shirt and joined her, his head in her lap as she scratched his head making him murr happily.

"So nice to see you again Emily."

"Nice to see you to Richlene."

"Who's your friend?"

"This is Angel Larose. Angel, this is Daniel and Russell's grandmother Richlene Miller."

"Its a pleasure to meet you ma'am," Angel said bowing her head.

"Don't be so formal dear. Call me Richlene."

They gave a laugh as Gilbert floated in and landed in Angel's lap startling her.

"Looks like he likes you. A rarity for him."

Angel petted his head as he let out a peep and curled up on her lap.

"So what brings you by my dears?" Richlene asked.

"We were just following Russell when he came here." Emily said.

"I take it your Russell's girl Angel?"

Angel blushed making them chuckle.

"Yeah. He's been the greatest to me."

"Yeah. Russell's been the gentler of the two. Always helping and never taking. He gets it

from his mother's side." Richlene said as Russ rolled onto his back.

She rubbed his chin softly as his left leg kicked a little as his tongue hang out. His tail was wagging a mile a minute as it thumped on the arm of the couch.

"Daniel takes after his father. He puts on a very hard front, but once you get past that obstacle, he's an angel."

"Yeah, I know." Emily sighed.

Richlene smiled before looking down at Russ. He had his eyes closed as she rubbed his chest softly feeling a murr coming from him. She leaned down and kissed his nose getting a lick in return as the girls giggled.

"He looks so cute and helpless like that." Angel giggled.

"Yeah. He says it helps take his mind off things when I do this."

"We interrupt this program to bring you a news special." the TV said.

All attention was at the TV as a tall man with a small goatee was behind a desk.

"Ladies and gentlemen sorry for interrupting but we have breaking news. The president's wife, daughter and the prime minister's son have been kidnapped."

Everybody let out a gasp except for Russ who let out a soft whine when he felt the petting stop but let out a murr when she continued.

"A reporter at the press conference for the peace treaty that was suppose to be signed today held up pictures of the first lady being taken. Please be advised, these pictures are real."

The scene switched to show a husky being forced into a black van by a couple of people in black masks.

"No demands have been made yet as police begin a city wide search. We will be covering this story from start to finish after your regular schedule program."

"Wow. Whoever pulled that off is one smart person." Richlene said.

"Yeah. I mean they are surrounded by secret service agents twenty four hours a day."

Angel replied.

"I wonder if Dan heard the news?" Emily chuckled. "Pearl has a lover's crush on him."

"Really? The president's daughter fell in love with Daniel?" Richlene said amused.

"Oh yes. She couldn't keep her hands off him."

The girls chuckled before a cell phone rang. It was coming from Russ's phone as he was in dreamland from the petting.

"Russ, shouldn't you get that?" Richlene asked.

The only response she got was a deep murr as she tickled his ear before stopping. He let

out a whine and opened his eyes.

"Why'd you stop?"

"Your phone's ringing."

"They can wait," Russ whined rubbing her leg with his head.

"Russell," Richlene said sternly.

Russ let out a growl before digging in his pocket and taking out his phone.

"What!!?" he barked angrily.

He listened closely before his eyes went wide and he bolted upright.

"You serious? Okay, don't do anything yet. I'm coming now."

"What's up Russell?" Angel asked.

"Roger managed to get a saliva sample from the DB and came back with a hit from an out of towner that's staying here. He got eyewitnesses claiming they know where he is staying and he's there now with Billy." Russ said throwing on his shirt.

"That's great." Emily said.

Richlene got up and walked them to the door.

"Thanks for visiting me Russell. And thanks for lunch." she said hugging him.

"It was nothing grandmom. Thanks for the rub down."

"I needed it as much as you did. Don't be strangers now and come by more often."

"We will," they all said and left.

"Thank you," Lara said to the clerk as she got handed her ice cream.

She exited the ice cream parlor and grabbed a spoonful of Key Lime pie and gave a squeal of delight.

"Mmmmm, that's good. Been a while since I indulged."

She walked down the street munching happily like a school girl when she started thinking

about yesterday.

"He's looking for me. Dammit. I wish he would just leave me alone."

She let out a sigh and downed another spoonful. Looking up, she froze in horror. Across the street was King. He was looking right at her with a smile on his face. With a gasp, she turned and ran, knocking people left and right.

"The thrill of the chase," King said to himself with a smile as he followed her, walking

calmly.

Lara pushed past another person before stopping at an intersection breathing hard and looking around for a place to hide. Looking behind her, she saw him walking calmly after her.

"Shit, shit, shit. Where do I go?" she panicked.

Running across the street, she ran past a dead end alley before coming back. She looked down and noticed a manhole cover. Reaching it, she pulled it open with little effort and jumped down, making a splash in the dirty water. Running a couple of yards, she saw the tunnel spilt into three. Thinking quickly, she cut her hand on the palm and smeared it on each corner of the tunnel entrance. When she made the last mark, she heard a huge splash behind her.

"You can't hide forever Lara. You will become my mate and bear my seed." King growled, his towering form taking up almost the whole tunnel.

He ground his nails roughly on the wall making it sound like chalk on a blackboard.

"You just don't get it do you? You belong to me. You were meant to be mine and no one

else. Stop denying me."

His nose flared when he smelt her blood as he approached the pathways. Her scent came from all three tunnels as he grinned.

"You trapped yourself in here I see. Too bad you don't embrace the gift you have because it could have helped you escape. But don't worry. You'll never have to worry about a thing again. I will protect my beta along with the rest of the pack."

He gave a chuckle before heading down the right tunnel, his heavy footsteps slowly

echoing off. Lara let out a sigh as she leaped down from the pipes in the dark corner she was hiding on gently. Her body was dripping with the dirty water to hide her scent as she gagged quietly.

"Too close. Way to close."

She backtracked to the manhole cover before climbing up the ladder, placing the cover back and running back to the apartment.

"Why do I have to do this?" Endo grumbled as he waited in line, a basket of supplies in his hand.

He placed the basket down on the counter as the clerk scanned each one.

"Just because the alpha left him in charge doesn't mean he can boss me around like a bitch."

"Total comes to twenty two dollars and fifty one cents."

"Here you go. Keep the change," he said grabbing the bags and walking out the store.

Russ looked through the binoculars again as Endo walked out.

"Is that him?" Russ asked.

"Yeah, that's the guy. Medium size man, dusty orange hair and brown eyes." Roger said

looking at the print out.

"Remember, this guy is a lycan so he'll be hard to take down." Rusty said in the back. "He may be human, but he'll still has the power of a lycan."

"Okay. All units, take him down," Russ said into the radio getting out.

Endo stopped at the crosswalk before jumping in surprise as cops swarmed all around him.

"What's going on here?"

"Endo Orton?" Billy said.

"Yeah that's me. What do you want?"

"Your under arrest for the murder of Marvette Jones. You have the right to remain silent."

"I don't know what your talking about."

"You have the right to an attorney," Billy said grabbing his arms making the bags drop on the ground as he put them behind his back.

"Don't touch me."

"If you can't afford one, one will be presented to you......." he said slapping the cuffs on.

"I said don't touch me," Endo growled.

Billy felt his body convulse heavily as his arms got bigger and thicker. The handcuffs snapped easily as Endo turned and grabbed Billy, lifting him easily by the neck. Billy watched as his face grew larger before turning into a muzzle as long sharp teeth came out.

"Don't ever touch me."

Everybody watched in shock as the 5'6 man turned into a 6'10 grey wolf. He let out a snarl before tossing Billy into the crowd of cops with a yelp. Billy held his throat and coughed

as Russ ran over.

"Billy you okay?"

"I'll manage."

The cops were too in shock to do anything as the towering grey wolf walked towards them. One cop got scared and fired a single shot in reflex right into his chest. The wolf chuckled as the bullet fell out his chest and the hole closed up.

"You can't hurt me with those things."

"But I can."

Endo turned only to be blasted by a bolt of lighting sending him flying backwards before denting a light post as it fell to the floor. Endo shook his head and looked up as Russ walked up, cops falling back to give him room.

"Give yourself up peacefully and we wont have to resort to violence."

Endo chuckled as he stood up and licked his lips.

"That was a cheap shot boy."

"Surrender Endo and I'll see that your sentence gets lightened."

"Why don't you make me," Endo snarled and lunged towards him.

Russ knew he didn't stand a head to head fight with a lycan so he had to finish this quickly. he threw his hand forward as another bolt of lighting surged towards Endo. Endo saw this and grab the nearest thing he could which was a newspaper dispenser and held it up as the spell made the papers inside burst into flames.

"Won't work twice on me," Endo growled and tossed the battered object towards Russ at alarming speed.

Russ had his sword out as he cut the object in half. Endo was on him in a second as and caught Russ with a kick to the chest which sending him backwards into a cop car with a yelp. He went to one knee coughing as he heard Endo chuckling.

"You've bitten off more then you can chew boy. You actually think you can beat me?"

Endo was reaching down for Russ when he noticed his fur flash blue for a second. In that spilt second, Russ countered with a somersault kick lifting Endo off the ground before catching his leg in mid air and slamming him into the car as it dented the hood and knocking the breath out of Endo.

"Entrapment," Russ growled out as the car seemed to coil up on Endo like a snake.

Russ added an extra magical rope around the car as Endo growled and snarled.

"I'll tear you apart boy, you hear me? I'll eat your flesh nice and slow while your still alive."

"Shut up. Your giving me a headache," Russ said waving his hand in Endo's direction.

Endo's eyes went wide before slowly dropping close. Russ rubbed his chest with a grown as Angel hurried over.

"You okay?" she asked.

"Its going to be hard to breathe for a bit but I'll manage."

"Good job Russ. All right, lets get this fucker back to the station and go to work on him," Irons said.

A tow truck drove by a couple minutes later as it hauled Endo onto its back and drove off.

Sanzo opened his eyes slowly, his body not in the pain he was in before.

"Welcome back."

Sanzo looked to his left to see Merlin sitting by the window looking out. He gave a small whimper and turned his head.

"I didn't want you to see me like this."

Merlin let out a chuckle before standing up.

"I've seen you drunk off your ass and throwing up on the floor. What is so shameful about this?"

"I look weak."

"Everybody meets their match one day Sanzo. Looks like you've met yours."

Sanzo remembered that night as he balled his fists angrily.

"What can you tell me about those wolves?"

"Three of them were weak, easy to handle for me. But the tall black one, he's a monster. I hit him square in the chest with my strongest spell and he got up like it was a foam ball hitting him."

"So what Emily said was true then."

"What do you mean?"

Merlin walked back to the window and looked out.

"You fought lycans."

"Impossible. Lycans have been extinct......."

"For many years now, I know. But it looks like they are very much alive."

Sanzo looked at Merlin in a semi shocked state.

"What do we do?"

"We wait until we hear from Russell, Emily, and Angel before we do anything."

Lara walked into the apartment, all eyes on her as the smell coming from her was powerful. Opening the apartment door, May was watching TV when she heard the door open.

"Hey Lara, welcome......."

She stopped when she saw how disheveled she looked. Getting up, she walked over before the sewer smell hit her making her cringe.

"What happened?" she asked holding her nose.

"He found me. I had to run."

Lara held her shoulders before breaking down as she fell to her knees crying. May walked

over and held her as she cried.

"Shhh, its going to be okay."

"No its not. He won't stop until he takes me back. And he'll kill anyone who gets in his

way, even you."

"Lets not talk about it. For now, lets get you cleaned up," May said helping her to her feet and towards the bathroom.

Endo was still out cold and wrapped up in the car. Russ stood there along with Emily, Angel, Billy, and Irons.

"Christ what a monster he is," Billy said.

"What is he excatly?" Irons asked.

"A lycan. Half human and half werewolf. All the appearance of a human but can change to a werewolf with amazing strength." Russ said.

"Well lets give him the routine. Wake him up."

Billy nodded and brought out some smelling salts. He climbed the truck and snapped it open pressing it to Endo's nose making him yelp and look around.

"What......" Endo whined out, his head pounding.

"Rise and shine."

Endo looked down and saw Russ as he let out a snarl and tried to lunge for him but was still bound.

"Let me go so I can tear you limb from limb."

"Answer my questions and I'll ask the judge for a lighter sentence."

Endo kept struggling but soon lost his breath as he panted hard.

"Done struggling?"

Endo growled angrily as Russ uncrossed his arms.

"Why did you kill her? What was your motive?"

Endo didn't answer as he growled and locked his red eyes on Russ.

"Who else was with you? Give me names."

Endo closed his eyes and chuckled softly.

"You'll be sorry you did this. My alpha will find me."

"Give me a name."

"You'll never hear him coming boy. You sealed your fate."

"We're not getting anywhere," Irons said.

"I can try and read his mind." Emily said.

"Okay, but be careful."

Emily nodded and climbed the truck. Walking in front of Endo, she looked into his eyes as he chuckled.

"You smell good foxie. I wonder what you taste like?"

Emily tuned him out as her eyes glowed a light yellow. Endo stared back with a smile showing his long fangs. Suddenly Emily let out a gasp and began to shake uncontrollable.

Russ saw her and called out.

"Emily you okay?"

Emily couldn't respond as she whined and folded her ears down, her tails between her legs.

"Emily, break the hold."

Emily couldn't do anything as the dark thoughts overwhelmed her senses, taking over her mind. Russ ran up and casted a counter spell as Emily fainted into his arms. Endo laughed as he looked on.

"I guess the foxie couldn't handle a real man."

Russ let out a snarl and was about to strike when Irons held his arm.

"How is Emily?"

Russ didn't hear Irons as he growled angrily at Endo.

"Russell."

He turned his gaze to Irons who looked sternly at him.

"How is Emily?"

"Mentally exhausted. Whatever she found in his head took over her senses. She'll be fine

after some rest."

"Good. Bring her to the break room and lay her down. We'll handle things here."

"Right chief."

He lifted Emily carefully into his arms as she shivered and jumped down off the truck. He looked back at Endo who was still all smiles.

"I'm not done with you yet."

"See you hero. That is, if your alive after my alpha gets through with you."

Russ let out a growl before a whine of discomfort came from Emily.

"Russell, lets go," Angel said calmly.

Russ nodded his head and left along with Angel.

King walked into the building and hit the elevator call button.

"She's still good at playing hide n' seek. No matter, I will find her."

He sniffed the air as the sewer smell hit him.

"Man, I need a shower badly."

He got off the elevator and enter the studio.

"Alpha, alpha, come come quick." Tangle siad in a panic.

"Not now Tangle. My mind is not all there at the moment." King said as he stripped naked

and walked into the shower.

The water cascaded down his body as the smell of shit and garbage came off. He leaned on the wall as he remembered everything.

"I had her. I fucking had her in my grasp. What went wrong? How did I miss her?"

He let out a growl and drove his fist into the tile wall leaving a large hole in it. Pulling his fist out, blood leaked out as it dropped down and got washed down the drain.

"She's the best prey I ever chased. And when I claim her, I won't let her go."

An evil grin crossed his lip as he turned the shower off. Wrapping a towel around his

waist, he walked out as he heard the TV in the living room.

"........a large wolf that attacked officers right here in downtown. We have a video from a

by stander who recorded everything on his cell phone."

The screen switched to a moving picture as you heard an excited voice in the background.

"Oh *bleep*, did you see that? That man turned into a *bleep* wolf. Its like something out of a *bleep* movie. Look at the *bleep* size of him. Holy *bleep* *bleep*."

"Alpha, that's Endo on the screen. He's been captured by the police,"Dwight said.

King didn't hear as his mind was trying to figure out how he missed her.

"Police have captured this wolf and think they might have a connection to the body of Marvette Jones that was discovered earlier this morning. This is the second murder that happened and hopefully with this arrest, the murders will stop."

Tangle turned off the TV and looked at King. His head was back on the seat as his body was still glistening with water showing his six pack and ripped chest.

"Alpha what do we do?"

King didn't respond as Tangle and Dwight looked at each other.

"Alpha?"

"I had her."

"Had her?" Tangle asked.

"I had her so close I could smell her."

"Alpha what about Endo?" Dwight asked.

This sent King in a rage as he stood up and grabbed Dwight by the neck and slammed him against the window which shattered on impact as he dangled over the street.

"I had the most important thing I care about slip right through my fingers and you keep telling me about a stupid runt?"

"But my alpha, he means........."

"He means NOTHING to me." King yelled tightening his grip harder. "The only thing I

care about ran out right under my nose."

King was almost foaming at the mouth when Tangle ran up and spoke.

"Please alpha, he wasn't thinking clearly. Please spare his life."

King let out a growl before tossing Dwight hard into the wall making him yell in pain. Tangle ran over to Dwight who curled into a ball, a huge imprint of King's hand around his throat.

"Never forget your place runt."

"Forgive me alpha," Dwight whimpered.

Emily let out a moan as she opened her eyes.

"Welcome back foxie," Angel said softly brushing some hair from her eyes.

"Where am I?" What happened?" Emily moaned softly.

"In the break room. Here, drink this," Russ said handing her some water.

She gave a thank you and sat up taking a sip.

"Emily, do you remember anything you saw in his mind?" Russ asked.

"The only thing I saw was hatred. Hatred so intense it consumed me in seconds. I didn't

even have time to put up a mind block."

"Did you see anything thing useful?"

"All I saw was the bodies he's consumed. The sound of his victims screaming as he tore

the flesh from their bodies."

Emily shivered heavily as Angel comforted her.

"Do you know why he's here?"

"They are looking for somebody."

"Who?"

"I didn't hear much. All I got was a last name, Daniels."

"Good enough for me," Russ said getting up. "I'm going to look into the database for all the Daniels in the city."

"Okay. We'll head back to Merlin and tell him everything that happened." Angel said getting up with Emily.

Russell headed back to where Irons was as he was talking to a couple of people.

"How's Emily feeling?"

"She's doing better. Managed to get a last name of the person he and his partners are looking for."

"Great, its a start. Head down and work with Susan on the last name."

"What are you going to do with him?" Russ asked looking at Endo.

Irons looked also as a couple of people were getting samples of his hair and blood.

"He'll stay here until his sentencing. Don't want to risk him getting out and causing hell."

"Okay. I'll head down to Susan."

"Get back to me when you have something."

"Will do."

The girls appeared outside the hospital and entered, waving hi to the friendly nurses and doctors. Heading to the fifth floor, they walked out and towards Sanzo's room. They knocked first and heard an enter as they walked in to see Sanzo putting on his clothes.

"How are you feeling Sanzo?" Angel asked.

"Pissed off." Sanzo said angrily.

"Did you find anything about the lycans?" Merlin asked.

"I managed to read into his mind but the hatred took over me." Emily said sadly.

Merlin chuckled before he stood up and walked over.

"Don't be ashamed Emily. Lycan minds are very tough. Let me see what you saw."

"Of course Merlin."

"Have a seat."

Emily sat down on a chair as Merlin pulled one up and faced her.

"Now just relax and open yourself to me."

Emily nodded and closed her eyes. Merlin placed a single finger between her eyes making her shiver as she felt the magic rush through her. Merlin was quiet as he read her thoughts. He saw the brutal murders, mutilations, and rape Endo and the others did. Then he saw something he wish he didn't as he groaned slightly. He removed his finger making Emily a little woozy as she held her head. He stood up with a frown on his face.

"What did you see Merlin?" Sanzo asked.

"Alberto King. I never thought I would see him again.......alive."

"Didn't you kill him?"

"I never got the chance. He fled quickly once I killed his father and I gave the word to

hunt him down. They told me he was died, guess they lied. And now he's back and has some buddies with him."

"Why are they here?" Angel asked.

Merlin looked at Sanzo who looked back.

"He's looking for Lara."

"What!!!?" Sanzo roared out. "Lara's here in the city?"

"Apparently."

"I have to find her then."

Sanzo moved a bit too quickly causing him to double over in pain as he held his chest.

"Relax yourself Sanzo. Your body's still healing."

"The only thing I would give my life for besides you is out there unprotected. I'm not going to sit here and wait to hear she's dead."

"Russell is looking for her as we speak." Angel said.

Sanzo growled angrily at that as he forced himself up with pain screaming from his body.

"Even more reason for me to go."

"Sanzo, trust in Russell. He will protect her." Merlin said.

"I'm sorry Merlin, but I'm not as forgiving as you."

Merlin ler out a sigh as he made a small circle with his finger. Sanzo got to the door before he felt light headed. Rage in his eyes, he turned to see Merlin's sad expression in his face.

"Why......are you......doing this......to me?"

"Because I care too much about you to see you torture yourself."

Sanzo tried to fight the sleep spell but his still healing body was too weak as he fell to the floor, tears in his eyes.

"Merlin........" Emily started but he raised his hand.

"I know Emily, I know."

Evening came quick as Lara put on her working clothes. Her shift didn't begin for another ten minutes as she sat in the break room watching TV as the news played the video of Endo being taken into custody.

"That's one less person I have to worry about chasing me. I just hope they find the other three."

"Hey Lara," May said walking in. "You ready to do your thing?"

"All set here."

"Then lets go make some tips."

Russ pulled the car to a stop at the corner and got out. He was on the last name on the list.

"I hope this is the one." Russ said looking at the neon light sign of thee Enormous Room.

Despite the name, nobody in the club was huge besides the bouncers. The inside had two floors and a giant dance floor in the middle. Along the walls were platforms were girls were shaking their ass to the beat while swinging on the poles. A spiral staircase lead to the upper floor where tables were as lap dancers and table dances were provided. Russ gave a whistle as he looked around.

"Need to show Dan this place."

He walked over to the bar when May was serving up a storm.

"Hello handsome, what can I get you?"

"I'm looking for a lady with the last name of Daniels. I'm told she works here."

"You mean Lara? She on the other side bar," May said pointing across the room.

Russ crossed the dance floor, feeling the various people rub up against him. Reaching the

others side, he saw a young lady with her back turned mixing drinks.

"Mrs. Daniels?"

"One second. Here you go love, that'll be $8.35," Lara said placing the glass down filled

with alcohol.

"Thanks," a ferret said handing her a twenty. "Keep the change cause your hot."

"You too cutie."

Placing the money in the draw, she turned to Russ.

"Now then wolfie, what can I do for you?"

"Are you Lara Daniels?"

"Yes, that's me."

"I'm Russell Miller from the SNDU. Can we talk in private somewhere?" Russ said showing his badge.

"Um.......sure I guess."

Lara turned to a lab who was putting the moves on a cheetah.

"Warren, can you cover me for a second?"

"Sure Lara."

"Thanks," she said walking under the counter. "This way."

King walked down the street, hands in his pockets. He didn't feel like hunting much to the dismay of Tangle and Dwight. His ears picked up the sound of music. He turned the corner to see a big line outside the club.

"I could use something heavy right now."

With a sigh, he got in line and waited to be let in. Showing his ID, he slipped in as the sound and smells assaulted his senses. Weaving his way through, he headed to the bar and sat down on the stool.

"What can I do for you handsome?" May asked.

"Vodka, straight up."

"Sure thing."

May reached down and grab a cup. She tossed a couple of ice cubes in it before reaching behind her and grabbing the vodka. She spun it in her hands before placing it down and adding a coaster under the glass placing it next to King.

"Here you go, six even."

"Keep the change for the nice display of skill." King said with a smile handing her a twenty.

"Your too kind but thank you."

King took a sip as the rush of alcohol run through his body. With a sigh, he buried his face in his hands before going over his head, trying to figure out how he missed his prize.

"What have I done wrong?" Lara asked.

"You've done nothing wrong. I just want to ask you a few questions.

"I can refuse to answer them if I want right?"

"Of course."

"Very well. What do you need?" she asked sitting back in the chair.

Russ cleared his throat and interlocked his fingers.

"Do you know a man by the name of Endo Orton?"

Her face went pale as her eyes went wide.

"Mrs. Daniels?"

She held her head down as Russ sighed.

"Mrs. Daniels, I don't know what that man did to you in the past to cause you to fear him so much. But this man is responsible for a brutal murder last light and assualt on my best friend. If you know this man, please don't clamp up on me. I need to know who he is and who is with him cause they are still at large and very dangerous."

Lara bit her lip as her body shook lightly.

"What...........what do you want to know?"

"Everything you can tell me."

"Okay."

She took a big breath and slowly let it out.

"The person you're after is a man named Alberto King."

"Who is he?"

"I don't know exactly. I met him a couple years ago when I moved from here."

"What does he do?"

"He never really told me. All I know was that his father left him everything."

"What does he look like?"

"Tall, dark skin, and bald head with diamond white eyes. But as a wolf......" she stopped and covered her mouth.

Russ chuckled at this.

"Relax. Endo showed his true colors to me."

"I see. Well, as a wolf, he's jet black. He can blend easily in the night. You won't even hear him coming if he's after you."

"So he's the leader then?"

"Yes. Endo, Tangle, and Dwight follow him like puppies."

"Okay, that gets them out the way. Why is he after you?"

Lara sighed and closed her eyes. Russ looked in surprise as this beautiful lady turned into a slim, brown wolf.

"Your a lycan too?"

"My mother was before she died. King's obsessed with me, thinking I was born to be his mate."

"I see."

Russ leaned back and crossed his arms taking in everything as Lara changed back.

"So you fled back here, why?"

"I'm looking for the love I left behind."

"Who?"

"Sanzo."

Russ's eyes went wide at that. The person that wanted nothing more then to put him six

feet under and had a heart of ice, had a lover.

"Well, this is a surprise. Who knew he knew how to love."

"You know him? Do you know where he is?"

"Yes I do."

"Please, take me to him."

"Can you leave now?"

"Of course. Let me get my jacket."

They both walked out into the loud music and to the bar.

"Warren, I need to to go. Something came up."

"No problem. Hope everything is okay."

"Okay, lets go."

King downed another shot letting out a sigh.

"I need some air."

"All set here handsome?" May asked.

"Yes. Thank you for the good show."

"You have a good night."

King stood up form the bar stool and turned around. Looking across the dance floor, he froze at what he saw.

Russ and Lara weaved through the crowd of people. Lara looked up and froze in horror.

"What's wrong?" Russ asked.

"Oh my god, he's here."

"Where?"

Russ looked in her direction as King slowly advanced towards them, shoving people aside with ease.

"We have to go. He'll kill you if he catches you."

"Where's the exit?"

"This way," Lara said pushing through the crowd.

King let out a inhuman growl as his body shifted. His legs grew bigger and thicker along with arms and chest as black fur grew out. The clothes on his body ripped as his face went longer as his mouth produced long sharp teeth. People started to scream as they saw this monster.

"LARA!!!" he howled out making people scream in panic.

The dance floor got cleared quickly as he jumped and landed with a crash in front of them. He stood up slowly as Russ watched the muscles flex on his body making him whimper as his ears bent on his head. King turned and locked his eyes on both of them as a snarl formed on his lips.

"You won't get away again."

"Leave me alone King. I'm nobody's property."

"Wrong. You belong to me."

"She belongs to nobody," Russ growled angrily.

King looked down at Russell before laughing.

"A new toy for me to play with Lara. You're too kind."

"I got your toy," Russ snarled.

A ball of lighting formed quickly in Russ's hand and tossed it at King full velocity. King didn't expect this as it connected with his chest lifting his off his feet and behind the bar shattering the bottles.

"Come on," Russ said grabbing her arm.

They ran toward the exit before a blood curling howl was heard. Russ looked back to see five bar stools come flying at them. Reaching back, he took out his knife which quickly turned into a sword as he stopped and cut all five in half. When he looked up, King was nowhere to be found.

"Look out!!" Lara yelled.

It was too late though as King slammed hard into him from behind sending Russ to the ground. King walked over as Russ got to his knees. He reached down and grabbed both his arms and pulled back hard while placing his knee in the back of his neck and pulled hard making Russ howl in pain.

"You think you can take what is mine?"

"She.......not..........yours" Russ cried out while trying to get his arms back.

"Little whelp. You know nothing." King snarled pulling harder as an ear piercing howl escaped from Russ as he felt his arms wrench back dangerously to the point of being pulled off.

King was so intent on Russ that he didn't hear Lara rip a bar stool from the floor and ran towards him.

"Leave him alone," she snarled.

King looked up in time as she swung the stool catching him under the chin hard as he did a back flip in the air. Blood trickled out his mouth as he felt his body get lifted in the air before letting out a yelp as he impacted the wall going through it as the plaster fell on his body.

"Come on," Lara said helping Russ up.

Russ got up slowly as they ran out the door.

"My car's over there."

They got in as Russ hit the gas and burned rubber down the street. King busted the out the door with a snarl. He looked left and right but didn't see either of them.

"NOOOOOO!!!" he howled out angrily in the night sky.

Russ and Lara heard it as it sent shivers down their spines.

King entered the condo with a yell as he broke the door down. Tangle and Dwight both jumped and ran towards him.

"Alpha what's wrong?" Tangle said.

King let out a growl as he grabbed Tangle by the throat and lifted him with ease.

"Why does she deny me?"

"I.......don't........understand," Tangle gagged out.

"Why can't she see she belongs to me."

He gave another growl as he tightened his grip on Tangle making his vision go white.

With a grunt, he let him go as he coughed while holding his throat. Dwight ran over to check on Tangle as King sat down.

"I had her again. I fucking had her if it wasn't for that white wolf."

"White wolf?" Dwight asked.

King looked at his hands before balling them into fists.

"You two, come here."

Tangle and Dwight ran over immediately and went to both knees. King presented his

hands as the looked confused.

"Take a good sniff and find that wolf."

They nodded their heads before shifting and inhaling deeply. The smell of Russ's fur

flowed into their senses as they growled.

"Find out where he lives and who is with him. I'll handle the rest."

"Yes alpha," they bowed and leaped down the balcony into the night.

"Christ what a monster," Russ said rolling his shoulders.

"I know. I'm sorry for getting you involved." Lara said.

"Don't worry about it."

"Where are we?"

"My house. I told everybody by phone to come here." Russ said pulling into the driveway.

Russ inserted his key and opened the door. His instincts kicked in as he grabbed his dagger to block the strike coming for head. He pulled out his gun only to have a ninja star go into the barrel.

"Stop," Merlin said.

The attacker got off Russell quickly as he looked at him. He was a gryphon dressed in an all black vest and pants. His shoulders were broad as he placed his katana back into its case over his back.

"Who are you?" Russ asked throwing the ninja star back at him.

"That is Odin. I called him down as a favor." Merlin said.

"My apologies Russell Miller." Odin said with a bow.

"No problem. Its a good thing I have good reflexes."

"If I wanted to kill you, you wouldn't have opened the door."

Russ chuckled as he and Lara walked into the living room where Angel and Emily were.

Angel ran up and hugged Russell making him grunt in discomfort.

"What's wrong?"

"Let's just say I got a not so friendly work out."

"My poor wolfie. Sit down and I'll make you feel better."

Russ had a seat on the floor, his back to the couch as Angel sat behind him and began to massage his shoulders and arms. Lara stood still kind of embarrassed.

"Please, have a seat." Russ said.

"Thank you," she said taking a seat on the recliner.

"I take it your Lara Daniels?" Emily said.

"Yes that's me."

"So your the lucky girl he's after?" Merlin said with a chuckle.

"Sadly yes."

Merlin went speak when the door opened and Sanzo walked in.

"Merlin, I got here as soon............"

He stopped short when he saw Lara standing there.

"La.......Lara?"

"Sanzo," Lara said, tears in her eyes.

"My god."

Lara ran into his arms as they embraced. She lifted her face and kissed him hard which he returned in kind holding her close. They broke off out of breath still holding each other.

"I'm sorry," Lara said. "I never should have left you."

"Don't be. I wanted you to be happy. That's all that mattered to me."

"I never stop thinking about you."

"Neither have I."

"Ahem," Merlin said clearing his throat.

They broke their embrace slowly as Lara sat back down, Sanzo at her side as he held her hand.

"Now the question of the day, how do we find them?" Merlin asked.

"If I know King, he'll find us."

"But why is he so hell bent to find you Lara?" Emily asked.

Lara closed her eyes and shifted into a werewolf making everybody gasp.

"Lara, your a........lycan?" Sanzo said surprised.

"Yes," she said with a whine.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to be afraid of me."

"I love you for who you are, not what you are."

Lara let out a sniffle but smiled as she felt Sanzo rub her cheek.

"This still doesn't explain why he wants you?" Angel said.

"I am the last female lycan alive in the world."

"That explains alot," Merlin said rubbing his beard.

"She's a threat master. We should eliminate her." Odin said a hand on his katana.

Sanzo let out a growl and stood between them.

"You won't touch her."

"Open your eyes Sanzo. She's a threat. A disease that needs to be purged."

Sanzo let out a snarl as lighting danced around his body. Odin brought his hand up with a couple of darts in them.

"That's enough." Merlin said.

"But Merlin......" Odin started.

"Threat or not, she belongs to Sanzo and vice versa. If she does cross the line, I'm sure Sanzo will do what is right."

"As you wish Merlin." Odin said, his wing feathers ruffling a bit.

Lara let out a shaky sigh before relaxing.

"By the by, where is Daniel at?" I haven't seen him around." Merlin asked.

"Good question. Let me call him."

Russ pulled out his phone and hit the speed dial as the phone rang a couple times.

"What?" Daniel said.

"Daniel, where are you?"

"Occupied."

"What do you mean occupied?"

"I'll explain later."

There was a lot of noise in the background which caused Daniel to shout.

"Daniel what's going on?"

"I can't talk right now."

There was a loud splash and a yelp as Daniel yelled.

"Keep still you."

"I'm trying," a voice said in the background.

"Daniel, please tell............"

"Dammie Russell I can't talk right now." Dan yelled ending the call.

Russ hung up with his ears bent and a small whine.

"What's wrong?" Emily asked.

"Its Daniel. He's in some kind of trouble but he wouldn't tell me what."

"He can handle himself young one. For now, lets focus our attention on the matter at hand."

"How do we go about killing him?" Sanzo asked.

Merlin rubbed his beard and smiled.

"He's too much for you to handle Sanzo, so I'll take care of him."

"Master, that's suicidal. You know King was breed a warrior." Odin said.

"I know that very well. I let him go before, it won't happen again."

Everybody looked at Merlin thinking he was crazy when Odin ran to the window. His grey

eyes looked out into the darkness.

"What's wrong?" Russ asked.

"Nothing. Just thought somebody was watching us."

"Lets get some sleep. Russell do you mind if Lara stays here?" Merlin asked.

"Not at all."

"Absolutely not." Sanzo growled.

"Sanzo, I need your help with other matters. She will be safe here."

"Master Merlin......."

Merlin gave him a glare which made him go quiet. He turned and went to one knee in

front of Lara.

"I will protect you Lara. You have my word."

"I know," she said with a smile and a kiss.

Merlin walked to the door followed by Odin and Sanzo. They walked out before Sanzo turned and looked at Russell.

"If anything happens to her, my god have mercy on you because I won't."

With that, he slammed the door as Russ sighed out.

"Why is he so mean to you?" Lara asked.

"Long story. Come, I'll show you to the guest room."

As they walked upstairs, two pairs of eyes looked at the house from a distance before

disappearing.

King sat Indian style on the rug in the dark. His eyes were closed as his breathing was steady and calm.

"Well?" he said calmly not opening his eyes.

"We found where she is staying. But there is a problem." Tangle said.

"What problem?"

"Merlin, my alpha."

King opened his eyes slowly. His eyes stared at the wall in the dark before a smile appeared.

"He is no threat to me. Everything will be decided tonight. Get some sleep." he said closing his eyes again.

"Yes alpha," they said.

There was silence again as King chuckled.

"Merlin huh? I guess I owe you for killing my father. Once I claim Lara, I'll gut you slowly and painfully."

Morning came around as Russell had his clothes on.

"I'll tell the chief everything that's happened up til now. You girls stay with Lara."

"Of course," Angel said.

"Sorry to cause you all trouble." Lara said.

"Don't be. Besides, we can talk about all the boys we want," Emily giggled.

They laughed as Angel gave Russ a kiss goodbye. Russ walked out the door and down the walkway before stopping. He held his hand out and place a barrier spell around the house. Satisfied, he hopped into his car and sped off. Reaching the station, he found a spare parking space and got out.

"Hey Russell." Roger said waving to Russ who walked in.

"Hey Roger."

"My friend has some more info about another way to kill the lycans."

"Really?"

"Yeah. He's in the lab. Come on."

They walked down a couple flights of stairs to the basement and entered the labs. Walking down the hall, they entered lab number two. Inside, Rusty had his face in a microscope as his left hand jotted down notes.

"It does work, my god."

"What works?" Roger asked making Rusty jump with a yelp.

"Don't sneak up on me."

"We thought you heard us. Sorry."

Rusty let out out a humph before turning to his notes.

"I may have found a way to alternately kill the lycans."

"How?" Russ asked.

"I got in contact with some of my old friends and they told me of a formula that works."

"What does it do?"

"It genetically breaks down the lycan gene and acclerates the metabolism in their bodies in

a rapid state."

Russ and Roger looked at each other.

"In other words, it takes away the lycan gene leaving them compeletly human before they age rapidly and die."

Rusty held up a small vile filled with a milky yellow liquid.

"We call it, the G-Virus."

"You play too much Resident evil," Roger said.

"How many bullets can I make out of that?" Russ asked.

"Not much. I had to rush this so maybe two, three if your lucky."

Rusty handed the vial to Russ as he looked at it. It smelt like road tar as his nose crinkled.

"Does it actually work?" Roger asked.

"Go take a look at the lycan you brought and see for yourself."

They headed out the lab and to the garage where Endo was still being held. Irons was there looking on as they pried the car from Endo's body.

"Whatever that guy made sure packs a punch."

Russ looked up as they finally broke Endo loose. His lifeless body feel to the ground with a thud. His face looked dried up as if all the blood was drained from his body making him look like a mummy. Thin strands of grey hairs were left on his bold hair as his teeth rotted and fell to the floor.

"Yuck," Roger said. "I hope I don't look like that when I die."

"Indeed yuck. Russ what have you got for me?"

"Plenty."

Russ explained in detail about everything that was said as Irons nodded.

"So you magic people are going to handle this situation?"

"Yeah. I just need to make a pit stop before I head home."

"Okay. Do what you have to do. Just get these fuckers off the streets."

"You got it."

"Wow, this herbal tea is good." Lara said taking a sip.

"Thank you," Angel said with a smile.

"So tell me, what do you see in Sanzo?" Emily asked.

Lara looked at her reflection in the cup before smiling.

"He's a wonderful man. Very kind and loyal. He's been with me through thick and thin.

But why does he hate Russell? I've never seen him that angry at anybody before."

The girls looked at each other before chuckling.

"Kind of complicated to get into. Better to ask him yourself." Angel said.

Steele flew in and landed on Emily's shoulder nuzzling her cheek making her chuckle.

"Wow, he's adorable," Lara said rubbing his chin making Steele peep happily. "He

yours?"

"No, he belongs to the brothers, but he's beginning to like us."

Steele suddenly tensed up and let out a growl.

"What's wrong Steele?" Emily asked.

He didn't respond as he tail whipped back and forth. Angel got up and went to the window to look out.

"I don't see any........"

Before she could finish, a strong hand broke through the barrier plus the window. Grabbing her by the ears, she let out a yell of surprise before getting pulled out with a scream.

"Angel!!!!" Emily shouted running to the window.

She stopped in her tracks as Dwight landed in the living room with a flip.

"There's no escape this time."

Another crash was heard as King kicked the door down easily off the hinges. His bulking

form taking up the doorway.

"Honey, I'm home."

"Damn Russell, what the hell is this shit?" Vincent said with a gag as he carefully pour the liquid into a custom made bullet.

"Don't ask."

Vincent sealed the bullet and pressed hard causing it to pop in place.

"All set," he said wiping his forehead.

He placed the three bullets on the table as Russ looked at them. The liquid was inside the bullet head sealed up tight so on impact it would disburse immediately.

"Thanks Vincent. I owe you for doing this on such short notice."

"Don't mention it. I'll just start a tab for you," Vincent said with a grin.

Russ chuckled at that as his phone rang.

"This is Russell. WHAT!!? When? I'm coming now."

Grabbing the bullets, he ran up the stairs before yelling back.

"Thanks again Vincent."

He dashed into the car revving the engine as it squealed down the street. He ran through a couple of stop lights as cars honked their anger. Turning the corner, he saw cop cars along with Merlin, Sanzo, and Odin. He brought his car to a screeching halt and jumped out. Opening the door, he rushed into his house, mouth open.

"My god," he said quietly.

The place was a mess, furniture was tossed aside, glass was shattered along with a couple of tables. He looked in shock and disbelief that this happened. His mind was a blank until he heard the faintest whimper. Rushing to an overturned table, he lifted it up to see Steele under it.

"Steele," he said softly picking him up.

Steele whimpered as Russ held him. His wing was broken just looking at.

"Who did this to you boy?" Russ whined.

Steele let out a soft peep and nuzzled into Russ arms. He carried him outside where the neighbors were talking to the cops. Merlin, Sanzo, and Odin were at the sidewalk as Sanzo was pacing back and forth. He walked over to them as Sanzo saw him and snarled.

"You said she would be safe. I should have never trusted you."

"I put a barrier around the house. Nothing should have been able to break it."

"You insist on taking everything from me. First my parents and now Lara. Why can't you leave me alone?"

"Stop shifting the blame on other people. The world doesn't fucking revolve around you."

"That does it you son of a bitch." Sanzo snarled.

He grabbed Russ by the collar and drew back his other fist.

"SANZO!!"

Sanzo stopped his fist inches from Russell's nose. Russ watched as his body shook from

anger and hurt.

"I understand your pain. But turning your anger against Russell will not help matters any."

"No Merlin you know nothing of my pain." Sanzo growled letting Russell go.

Sanzo walked to a nearby light pole and struck it hard as it fell to the ground with a clang

as the glass shattered.

"I'm sor......."

"Save it Merlin, just save it." Russ growled angrily.

Merlin held his head down as Billy walked up holding the phone.

"Hey Russ, you got a call."

"From who?"

Billy shrugged his shoulders as Russ took it.

"Hello?"

"I have something of yours wolf."

Russ's hackles rose as he growled.

"You better not have........."

"Don't worry. They are still intact.......for now."

"Where are they?"

"Is Merlin there?"

"Why?"

"Because their lives are in your hands. Now, is Merlin there?"

Russ growled as he hit the speaker phone button.

"All right, speak."

"Merlin. I know you can hear me."

"King? I've should have killed you back then." Merlin said angrily.

"Yes you should have of."

"What do you want?"

"Look in the sky."

They all looked up as a full moon started to appear through the clouds.

"Its a full moon today, which marks the start of lycan heat."

"You leave Lara alone." Sanzo snarled.

"I give you all a front row seat to this glorious day where I will rightfully claim the one

who belongs to me."

"You even touch her I'll............."

King laughed making Sanzo growl.

"Come to the bike trail Merlin and witness with your own eyes, the rebirth of a new

breed."

The phone went dead as Sanzo grabbed it and crushed it easily.

"I'm going, now."

"Not without us you aren't." Merlin said.

"Billy, take care of Steele for me," Russ said carefully handing him to Billy.

"You better bring them back."

"You got it."

Merlin held his cane up before striking the ground. A purple pentagram appeared before

they vanished.

Dwight's nose twitched as he stood on the tree branch.

"They are here my alpha."

King smiled as he ran has hand slowly down Lara's face as she hung limp from the branch, her feet inches from the ground.

"Let's welcome the guests of honor."

"Of course my alpha," Tangle and Dwight said before disappearing into the trees.

King continued to rub her cheek softly as she let out a soft moan which made him smile.

"Let the show begin."

A flash of light appeared as the crew appeared in the middle of the park.

"Where do we start looking?" Odin asked.

A slight breeze blew their way making Russ's eye go wide.

"Emily? Angel?"

He turned and followed the scent before Merlin stopped him.

"Young one, be careful. You could be walking into their trap."

"Good," Russell said loading the bullets.

They watched him disappear down the trail before continuing their way. Before long, Odin tensed up. Hand on his katana, he swung quickly cutting the tree a little ways ahead of them in half. A chuckle was heard making his feathers ruffle.

"Quick as usual I see Odin."

"Mangy cur. You won't escape me this time."

"Ahh, poor baby. Are you still mad about what I did?"

Odin growled angrily as he glowed a light red.

"You will pay for the death of my teacher and sister."

"Then lets finish this little birdy."

Footsteps were heard in the distance as Odin was quick to follow.

"I guess that leaves us." Merlin said with a chuckle.

They continued walking til they came to a clearing. The moonlight shown down on the area as crickets chirped all around. At the far end, the moon casted its light on Lara form.

"LARA!!!"

Sanzo ran forward without thinking. He got almost to her when a black blur hit him head on making him fly backwards on his back.

"Welcome," King said watching Sanzo get to his feet, Merlin at his side. "To the birth of a new breed."

Russ followed the scent in a job to an opening with a small cliff. Looking up the cliff, his eyes went wide as he saw Angel and Emily tied to a tree.

"Emily!! Angel!!"

They both stirred slowly, heading spinning as they looked down.

"Russell!!" they both shouted.

"Hang on."

He started up the cliff before his tail went stiff. A hand shot up from the ground making Russ do a back flip before getting his bearings.

"Impressive. You have sharp senses," Dwight said appearing from the ground.

The moonlight shone down on him making his white fur glow.

"Let them go," Russ growled.

"I can't do that. You took one of my pack members so I took something of yours."

Dwight flexed his hands, making his knuckles crack as he grinned.

"Endo's dead. He wouldn't listen so we had to put him down like the dog he was."

"Impossible. Endo couldn't be killed by the likes of you."

"Believe it."

Dwight was furious as he snarled angrily.

"Then you will join him."

He flew at Russ went blinding speed. Russ pulled out his gun and tried to fire but Dwight was too quick and knocked the gun out his hand causing a bullet to fire. He followed up with a body blow and a kick to the chest sending Russ tumbling to the ground. Russ coughed weakly before looking up and quickly rolling to his right as Dwight's knee came crashing down where his head would've been making a hole in the ground.

"Your quick, I give you that. But you can't beat me as I am."

Russ panted hard as his chest hurt. He didn't want to risk firing another shot cause he only had two left. His mind worked quickly before he smiled evilly.

"Very well. If I can't beat you, I'll join you."

"What are you talking about?"

Russ closed his eyes as he started to chant something that Dwight couldn't understand as he looked on confused. Emily and Angel watched too as they knew what he was casting.

"He wouldn't? Not on a full moon?" Emily said.

"Yes he would," Angel replied.

"Here I come," Russ growled as he got covered in a bright light.

They looked on as they heard the sounds of bone crunching and Russ growling. The light died down as Russ was on one knee. He slowly stood up as Dwight let out a startled gasp. This wasn't the little wolf he just saw. Standing in front of him was a tall built wolf with thick arms and legs along with a chiseled chest. Russ's eyes opened his eyes slowly which turned red as he let out a menacing snarl.

"You think you can still take me? Fine. Bring it on." Dwight growled as they rushed each other.

King smiled as Sanzo growled angrily.

"You back for more rhino?"

"I'm taking Lara back with me."

"I can't allow that. She belongs to me once this night is over."

"Like hell she does." he snarled and lunged at him.

Sanzo fists got covered in a blue light as he swung furiously at King who nimbly dodged every strike with a smile before trapping both Sanzo's arms under his and pulling up hard threatening to break his elbows as Sanzo yelled in pain.

"You don't get it do you rhino? You're not in my league."

He gave him three strong headbutts breaking Sanzo's nose yet again before picking him up with ease and body slamming him on the ground knocking the air out of his body. King bent down and picked him up by the neck before putting him in a sleeper hold.

"Let him go King," Merlin said angrily.

"In a minute Merlin. I want this to be a private battle." King grinned evilly before applying more pressure.

Sanzo tried fighting it but was getting light headed quick due to the lack of oxygen as he slowly stopped and went limp.

"There," King said laying him down to the side. "Now its just me and you. I owe you a world of hurt that goes beyond words."

"Indeed you do," Merlin said as he held his cane up in a defensive stance.

King raised an eyebrow before chuckling.

"You can drop the disguise. We both know you are not that old."

Merlin twitched a little before smiling. He spun his staff a couple of times before slamming it down on the ground and getting covered in a green light. When it died down, he looked way younger as his robe got shrunk to fit his new body.

"Now that's the Merlin I remember. Are you ready to finish this?" King said hunching his body down on all fours ready to pounce.

"More then ready."

The sounds of gnashing teeth and snarls were the only things you could hear as Russ and Dwight fought each other like feral monsters. They each had lots of cuts and teeth marks on their bodies as they tumbled on the ground for leverage. Dwight managed to get leverage as he pushed Russ off with both legs tossing him in the air. Russ recovered quick with a flip as he landed on all fours. He began to circle around him on all fours, a snarl of his face as his teeth showed signs of blood.

"Christ, he's a tough one." Dwight said to himself. "I shouldn't be having this much trouble with a pretender. Guess I have to end this quickly before he tries anything fancy."

Dwight let out a growl and lunged at Russ who followed. Russ went for a swipe which Dwight duck and did a sweep with his leg tripping Russ as he landed on the ground. He quickly took advantage of the opportunity as he grabbed his leg and began to slam him down on the ground getting a yelp of pain with each slam.

"How do you like that?" Dwight growled before spinning him in place and tossing him into a tree which broke.

Dwight let out a sigh before examining his body which had tons of cuts on it which quickly sealed up as he laughed.

"I'm unstoppable," Dwight laughed.

The girls looked on scared as Russ was laying there unmoving. Dwight walked over to his prone body and looked down.

"Don't you see faker? You can't be the real thing."

He reached down and grabbed Russ the the scruff of his neck and looked at him. Blood ran down his muzzle and the side of his head as his eyes were closed.

"It time to put the wolf down for good."

Dwight went for the jugular vein when Russ's eyes snapped open. With a snarl he brought his knee up and connected with a low blow making Dwight yelp and drop him. Russ followed quickly by going behind him. Grabbing his midsection, he lifted him easily and dropped him on the back of his head with a german suplex. Still having his grip, he got on top of Dwight and snapped his teeth down on his neck.

"This......can't be," Dwight gagged out trying to get Russell off but didn't have the leverage.

Russ bared down harder breaking skin as the taste of blood overwhelmed him. With a growl, he wrenched his neck pulling the vein out of his neck as it spewed blood all over the floor. Dwight let out a whine as blood spilled out his mouth and throat. Not finished with his prey, Russ dug his claws into Dwight's still flowing neck and pulled. With a sickening snap, Russ pulled Dwight's head off and tossed it on the ground. Standing over his dead body, he let out a howl of victory to the moon. The girls shivered in fright at that.

"What's wrong with him?" Emily asked.

"The moon has taken over his sanity, he's entered a Feral High! He won't recognize us if he tries to attack," Angel said scared.

Russ let out a huff before he turned and looked at the girls. He let out a growl as he stalked them slowly and reached where they were tied up. Angel whined as Russ bent down and growled angrily in her ear. She smelt the blood on his breath making her gag. He was about to bite down before he took a sniff. Something clicked in his brain as he licked her cheek.

"Russell?"

He let out a woof and licked her again making her giggle.

"Down boy. Untie us."

He nodded his head before cutting the ropes with ease. Angel got her toes and scratched Russ behind the ears making his tail wag happily.

"Luckily he still remembers us by scent," Emily said.

"Thank god for that." Angel said as Russ licked her cheek again.

Suddenly his ears perked up and he turned his head. He let out a growl as the girls looked in his direction.

"What's wrong?" Angel asked.

Russ only responded with a growl before hopping down the cliff and taking off. The girls followed as they hopped down the cliff. They looked at what was left of Dwight's body which returned to human form without the head as they shivered. Something caught

Emily's eye as she walked over and saw Russ's gun laying on the grass.

"Looks like he forgot his gun."

"He wouldn't remember it in his state of mind." Angel said.

"No matter. Let's follow him. He might need our help." Emily said taking hold of his gun.

"What's wrong Merlin?" King smiled as he circled him on all fours. "You forget how to fight?"

Merlin held his cane up in front of him as his robe was torn in some places.

"I didn't forget how to fight. I'm just taking my time. Patience is a virtue my friend."

"A pity I don't have any."

King launched himself at Merlin who stood there. Merlin held his hand out freezing King in mid air before flicking his wrist sending him flying high in the air.

"Lighting storm."

Thick black clouds covered the sky as several bolts of lighting struck King head on making him yelp loudly before he dropped to the ground, smoke raising from his body.

"Cheap parlor tricks Merlin." King said getting up and dusting off his fur. "I've gotten

stronger then you now it seems if that's all you can do."

"So it seems." Merlin said.

"I've even learned a few tricks on my own."

King flashed white briefly before splitting into two. Merlin looked surprised but didn't show it as he stood firm.

"I learned this on my travels," both of them said. "How do you like it?"

"Impressive. But you don't scare me."

"Well see about that."

King and his copy went to all fours before rushing towards Merlin. Merlin held his ground as he countered and blocked each blow that was thrown as they pushed him back. King let out a snarl before coming down hard and smashing his staff in two making him stumble backwards. This was all King needed as he slashed his claws hard down Merlin's back leaving a blood trail as Merlin gave a yell of pain.

"That's more like it. Scream louder," King cackled evilly as he drove his fist into his stomach followed by a kick.

Merlin got his bearings quickly before grunting in pain as a single trail of blood came down his mouth. He looked at his staff which was splintered in two before tossing it on the ground.

"How does it feel to be on the receiving end?"

"Pretty good. Makes me feel alive," Merlin said with a grin.

"Indeed. Then how about we finish this?" King said as his claws extended longer. "Its for you to be gutted like the jellyfish you are."

Merlin's head was in a whirl of thoughts as these two hulking masses slowly stalked him.

"Guess its time for me to cut loose."

Merlin chanted some words as his hands glowed purple.

"Arise," he said slamming his hand down into the ground.

The ground shifted heavily as two bodies made of stone were created. Their eyes opened

which were black before locking them onto King. With a nod from Merlin, they lunged toward him. King smiled as he and his copy fought with the clay warriors. Merlin took this time to run over to Sanzo who was still out cold.

"Sanzo? Sanzo?" he said shaking him.

He got no response as he heard the sounds of his summons being destroyed. Turning

around, he was greeted to the head of one of his clay warriors.

"I believe this belongs to you," King said behind him before slamming it into his back bringing Merlin to one knee. "I love the sight of you like this. Maybe if you beg for mercy,

I'll kill you quickly."

"Hahaha, if that's what I get, I'll take door number two."

King let out a growl before grabbing Merlin by his neck lifting him up.

"Now you will pay for what you did to my father."

Merlin still had a smile on his face as King opened his mouth showing those huge fangs. He was about to bite done when a white blur tackled him from the side sending them rolling on the ground.

"What the hell........"

"Don't let your guard down."

With quick speed, Merlin turned and placed both hands on his chest chanting quickly.

"Medusa's touch."

Instantly, King's body from the bottom up began to turn to stone as a surprised look on his face stuck there. He made a circle in the air as the statue body of King got in cased inside a bubble and floated in the air.

"This is the end for you Alberto King."

With a snap of his finger, the bubble got filled with lava as the stone figure of King slowly melted into nothing before the bubble vanished with the liquid form of King with it. The searing pain of the slash marks on his back began to sting as he went to one knee but not before looking over to see white on black fight on the ground.

"What is this?" King snarled angrily.

Russ didn't answer but drew back and sunk his teeth deep into the shoulder of King making him yelp in pain. He threw his head back and forth hoping to take the arm off the body but King had other plans. Using his long claws, he drove them into Russ's side making him yelp loudly letting go. King took that time to grab him by the throat and using both legs, kicked him hard into the air as he landed with a yelp.

"Little maggot," King spat as blood came down his arm. "You need to learn your place."

Russ struggled to his knees before King came over and kicked him square under the chin with a crack snapping Russ's neck back as he flipped in the air. King picked him up and slammed him face first into a tree holding him by the neck.

"You think you are a match for a true lycan warrior?" King snarled angrily in his ear. "Let

me show you how wrong you are?"

He lifted one claw and slowly with lots of pleasure, penetrated his back making Russ howl in pain.

"Does it hurt that much? I'm far from being done."

King smiled as he twisted his finger side to side as blood leaked out from the wound. With a smile, he stuck another claw into him making Russ whine loudly.

"I've only got three more fingers runt. You can handle it."

Merlin looked on with a painful expression as his back was coated in blood from the claw marks.

"Merlin!!" the girls shouted.

He turned to see Emily and Angel run up to him. They let out a gasp as they saw his back.

"Are you okay?" Emily asked bending down to exmaine it.

"I've been better. Free Lara Angel while he's occupied."

"Of course."

Angel ran over quickly and cut Lara down as she fell into her arms. Another howl was heard as King dug another finger into the insides of Russ's body. Blood pooled under his feet as his fur was drenched in it.

"We have to do something. He's going to bleed Russell to death."

Emily looked down and remember she had the gun in her hands. Merlin saw it too and nodded.

"Shoot him Emily. Even if its to distract him long enough for Russell to break free."

"But.......I'm not good at shooting."

"Emily, just do it."

Emily nodded and stood up. With a shaking stance she took aim. Her arm was shaking too much to get a good shot and was afraid she might hit Russell by mistake.

"Emily, fire. What are you waiting for?"

"I......I can't." she said whining as another howl was heard.

"Yes you can. Just relax."

Emily took a deep breath and closed her eyes, remembering what Dan told her before

"Just close your eyes and relax your body. When you are tense, the gun is tense. When your body is calm, open your eyes, lock on the target and fire."

Emily opened her eyes and locked on King. Her finger squeezed the trigger once as the bullet raced forward hitting King square in the back making in howl in pain. While Emily had fired a gun before nothing prepared her for the massive recoil of Russell's hand cannon, which sent her right of her tails. King turned his attention to her as he snarled angrily.

"You little bitch."

She froze in horror as he closed the gap between quickly and was standing over her on the ground with a scream from her.

"You think you can get away with that you little cunt? I'll tear your throat out."

He raised his claws up about to drive them into her throat when he stopped inches from her face before he held his chest.

"What......is this? What.........is going.......on?"

He got up and stumbled backwards. Looking down, he felt his body tense up harshly as he

held his stomach.

"What did.......you do.......to me?"

His body got smaller and smaller as the fur disappeared. His muzzle shrunk down to normal as the claws on his hands returned to regular fingernails. He dropped to one knee his body started to age rapidly showing the wrinkles on his face.

"This.......can't be.......happening."

Lara twtiched a little before moaning as she opened her eyes slowly to see King rapidly aging. He looked at her, reaching his skinny arm out to her.

"La......ra. He....lp me please."

With the coldest smile, and darkest voice Lara said, "Long live the king."

His eyes filled with tears before he fell to the ground, his body drying up as his lifeless eyes stay locked on Lara. Emily let out a sigh before getting up. She looked over to see Russ not moving.

"Russell!?" she said and hurried over.

Russ let out a whine when she touched him softly. The wounds on his back spilling blood non stop.

"He's got internal bleeding really bad. We have to get him to the hospital quickly."

"Indeed we do," Merlin said getting up slowly. "We could all use some healing after this night."

Russ sat at his desk typing the report of what happened after resting for a week. A knock on his office door was heard as he looked up.

"Come in."

The door opened as Merlin, Sanzo, and Lara walked in.

"Greetings young one, how do you feel?"

"Like swiss cheese." Russ said with a chuckle but held his side with a grunt of pain as his body was wrapped up in bandages.

"Very ingenious to use a polymorph spell, but dangerous on the full moon due to the fact of your wolven instincts." Merlin said with a chuckle.

"I know. But it was the only thing I could think of."

"I want to thank you for everything," Lara said with a bow. "I owe you a debt that I don't think I can repay."

"Just doing my job Mrs. Daniels. I'm glad you're okay."

"I have you to thank for that."

"Just for the record, this doesn't change anything between us," Sanzo said with a grunt.

Russ let out a growl before sitting back in his seat.

"You are still a threat, and as soon as you fuck up, I will be there to to deliver the finishing blow to you both."

"You still don't know anything do you?" Russ growled.

Sanzo looked at him confused.

"What is he talking about Merlin?"

"Show him the tape Merlin."

"Very well."

Merlin dug into his robe sleeve and produced a tape which he put into the machine. Sanzo looked and listened with confusion before it turned to regret. When the tape was finish, he held his ears down and turned to Russ.

"I......."

"See Sanzo, our mother didn't go crazy for no reason. There is no creature more

dangerous on the planet then a mother protecting her children. Even a human mother that had as much power as she did."

"So that's why you were so angry with him?" Lara said.

"Please forgive me. I didn't know."

"Lesson learned Sanzo," Merlin said patting his back.

"As for Evan, I'll deal with him on my terms." Sanzo said with a snarl.

"Don't do anything rash," Merlin said sternly.

"I know."

"So what do you plan to do now Lara?" Russ asked.

"I'm going to move in with Sanzo and work with him in the White Council. Maybe I can

put my "abilities" to good use." Lara said with a blush.

"That's a good idea. It'll be great to have you aboard."

"Thanks. We need to get going. I have to move my stuff out of my roommates house. Get well soon Russell and thank you again." Lara said with a bow before heading out the door with Merlin.

Sanzo followed but stopped at the door and turned back. He stopped at the desk as they both stared at each other. After a minute, Sanzo held his hand out. Russ looked at it before standing with some discomfort and shaking his hand.

"Let's start fresh. Deal?" Sanzo said with some hope in his eyes.

Russ shook his hand for a second before smiling.

"Deal."

They both had smile on their faces as they sealed their new friendship.
