Ch4. Meet the new master and daily routine

Kyo stood near the window stunned as his master slowly walked up to him with a huge grin. ‘This has to be a bad joke, it can't be the same wolf from the auction.' Kyo thought as he looked over the grey wolf but once his vision came to the white spot on his fore head something jarred his memory and he quickly bowed. "Afternoon master." He spoke hesitantly.

The grey wolf chuckled as he came up to Kyo and placed his paw under his chin and lifted his head like before. "There is no need to bow to me ok." Kyo looked confused but nodded which made him go from a chuckle to a laugh. "I don't need you to bow to me because I get it all day from the other slaves and the guards."

As the two stood staring at each other when a couple of knocks came from the door. It soon opened as a tall skinny man walked into the room and bowed. "Lord Icewaver, Dusk sent me to remind you that you have a date tonight with Lady Soften."

Icewaver groaned as he turned around and walked over to his closet. "Thank you, you may leave now." The human bowed and left the room but not before giving Kyo a disgusted look. "Slave." Icewaver yelled as he was looking threw his closet.

"Yes master." Kyo answered as he moved over to the small room and stepped inside. As he moved inside he looked around just in time to see his master slowly take his paints off and seen that the wolf wasn't warring any underwear. Kyo felt a knot in his throat as he stood for a moment staring at the grey wolf's butt.

Kyo snapped out of his daze as Icewaver started to talk again. "While I'm gone I need you to clean up my room a little." He put his paints into a basket as he selected a nice light blue pair. "That's what your job is going to be during the day and accompany my when told. Do you understand?"

"Yes master." Kyo said as he tried his hardest not to look at the naked wolf in front of him. ‘Why do I want to look at him so badly?' Was going threw his mind.

"Good then I'll be back later." He said as he pulled up his paints and tied the strings tightly around his waist. He then tied on his shoulder plate that had a nice edge that comes across the top. He started to walk out of the closet but surprisingly stopped and kissed Kyo on the cheek. "Take care" He said as he quickly rushed out.

Kyo was left stunned as he stood in the closet doorway. He slowly moved his hands up to his cheek and rubbed the spot where his master had kissed him. ‘Did he really just do that?' Kyo shook his head and walked out into the lounge and started to straighten up. As he continued to clean he ended up in the bedroom and looked at the bed. Icewaver had an enormous bed but the blankets weren't made and some of the pillows were lying on the floor. Kyo walked over and picked up the pillows and laid them at the top of the bed, then straighten out the blankets.

After about two hours of cleaning Kyo heard someone knocking at the door. He walked over to the door and opened it to see the same human standing in the door way from earlier. "Dusk told me to come get you for super." Kyo walked out and the two started to head down to the hall. Kyo followed the man a couple of steps behind him but realized that the man was walking faster with every step. The man rounded a corner and as soon as Kyo turned around it his face instantly started to burn as he fell onto the floor in pain.

"What the fuck was that for?" Kyo said trying to recover from the pain.

The man clenched his fists. "What makes you so special that you get here and then next thing you know it, your Icewaver's pet."

Kyo looked at him confused. "Pet? What do you mean a pet?"

The human slammed his fist into the wall. "You're so fucking stupid. You're a master's pet and you don't even know it."

"I still don't know what a pet is." Kyo said as he started to get up.

"A pet is a human treated better than a slave." The man said as he started to continue to walk down the hall but still frustrated. "You most likely won't even sleep in the small house with the rest of us slaves. You'll probably end up being his fuck doll." The man now sounding more cheerful as he heard Kyo starting to get annoyed.

"I'm not going to be anyone's fuck doll" Kyo clenched his fists.

"Sure you are." He said as they walked up to a door and he opened it. As they walked in there was a long line of humans as they were getting some food and sitting down at long rows of tables. There were about ten armed wolves constantly walking up and down them.

Kyo stood in line but couldn't help but noticed that everyone was constantly glancing his way, which was starting to make him feel even more uncomfortable. When he reached the front of the line he grabbed a trey and walked up to the first human and handed him it. The human was in an apron and standing in front of a large pot. When he looked at Kyo he was actually pissed.

The human scraped up half a ladle of food off the side of the pot and put it on the trey. "Only the best for the new pet." The man said as he slid the trey to Kyo.

Kyo looked at the food and seen that the food that was giving to him was all burnt and as he looked at it he heard some giggling and chuckles coming from everyone else. He quickly sat down at the end of one of the tables and quickly tried to finish his meal by picking out what wasn't burnt. After throwing most of his supper in the trash, Kyo started to head back to his master's room when he heard someone walking behind him. He turned to see that no one was there but as he continued to walk he heard the footsteps followed by some giggling. Kyo quickly turned around a corner and stayed up against the wall.

He heard the small footsteps get faster as a small wolf cub ran around the corner and ran right past Kyo. When the wolf looked down the hall and didn't see Kyo he stopped and was looking around. "Where did that human go." The wolf put his nose up to the air and sniffed a little before turning around and smiled at him. "Found you."

Kyo smiled and walked up to the small wolf and bowed. "What can I do for you young lord."

The pup was wagging his tail as he looked up at Kyo. "I want you to play with me."

"Ok...but what's your name?" Kyo asked as he crouched down to be the same height as the pup.

"My name is Froshen." The pup said as he bounced a couple of times.

Kyo chuckled at the sound of his name. Froshen stopped bouncing and had a stern look on his face. "What's so funny?"

"Sorry young lord. It's just that... your names are just odd to me."

"Oh..." The pup soon started to bounce again. "Our names come from our appearances when we are born." Kyo looked confused and the pup could see it, so he stopped bouncing and turned to grab his tail. "See my name comes from the word frost like the tip of my tail has frost on it." Kyo understood as he looked at the tail and seen that against the wolf's dark grey fur it had lightly white hair scattered like it had frost.

"Um. What about the alpha...Galle. I don't see how his name means anything."

"Oh that's easy," The small pup wagged his tail as he didn't have to think too much for that name. "Who ever becomes the alpha has to change his name to Galle. It's tradition."

"Ok but what about my master Icewaver?"

The pup scratched the back of his head and thought for a moment. Then it seemed like it all of a sudden struck him as his face lit up. "Oh... it's because of the white patch on his head."

Kyo thought for a sec but with an unsure look on his face he still couldn't see how his name came from it. "Ok I guess."

The pup giggled at the look on Kyo's face. "Like a small piece of ice on the water." Kyo smiled when it finally made sense to him. But the thought about his master made Kyo feel warm as he started to day dream about the wolf. But that didn't last long until Froshen tugged on his arm.

"Want to play now?"

Kyo shook his head. "I don't think the other wolves would like it if I did."

But the pup smiled even more. "My grand dad told me to play with you."

Kyo sighed as he stud up. "Ok what do you want to play?"

"Umm...Tag." The pup touched Kyo on the leg and started to run down the hall as Kyo smiled and chased after the pup.

To Kyo's surprise the pup was actually pretty fast as he darted Kyo left and right. Also because of his size Kyo couldn't go under tables or quickly slide under beds. Kyo finally manage to tag the pup on the tail as he stopped and ran in the other direction. Kyo can hear the pup giggling and closing in on him as the pup can cut corners. So Kyo kept running darting older wolves and humans until he found the door he was looking for and ended up outside. Here Kyo thought he could have an advantage since the pup is in a more open area. But the pup smiled as he got on all four and ran at Kyo even faster.

"Oh shit." Was what came out of Kyo's mouth as the pup lunged at him and drug both of them down to the ground. They both laughed as Kyo got up and seen the pup tried to run away but quickly tagged his leg. They ended up playing for another hour until a slender female wolf came walking up to them.

Kyo stopped immediately and bowed. "Evening ma'am."

"Evening..." She said in a calm voice. She looked down at the pup and smiled. "Lord Froshen it's time to clean up for dinner."

"Do I have to?" The small wolf pouted. "Just ten more minutes please."

The wolf chuckled as she grabbed his hand. "I'm sorry but you don't have time."

"Ok." They were both heading into the building but the pup looked back and waved. "Bye...plays again soon." And the two were gone.

Kyo looked up and seen that it was getting late as the sun had almost disappeared behind the mountains. ‘I should get back to my master's chambers.' He thought as he made his way to the room. When he got there it looked just the same as he had left it, so he decided to sit down and rest. ‘man that pup took a lot out of me.' Kyo sat for a minute until he heard a knock on the door. He got up and opened it slowly to see Dusk standing out of the door. Kyo bowed his head and slowly stood straight back up. "Yes sir?"

Dusk made his way into the room. "Icewaver is you master, right?" He asked as he walked around the room.

"Yes sir."

"Good. Then you have to go get cleaned and be at the dining hall in an hour to stand by his seat even though he is not there, it is your job to be." After telling Kyo that he turned and walked right out of the room and closed it himself.

Kyo sat down into the chare and sighed. "Great lets meet the whole family in one day." He mumbled to himself. Kyo got up while shaking his head and headed down to the showers. After cleaning himself up for the second time today he put on a new pair of pants and made his way to the dining hall.

As he got there he seen that only a couple of slaves were there but getting things ready for the meal. He stood in the corner until and slave came up to him and stuck out his hand. "You're the new slave right."

Kyo grasped it and shook. "Yes I am."

"Good then you are to stand near Lord Icewaver's chair." He pointed to the chair second down on the right side of the table. Kyo walked over and stood behind it. "Ok now when you stand here you have your arms crossed behind your back." Kyo did as he was told and got a smile with a nod from the other human. "Oh... By the way I'm Talon, I'm the alpha's personal slave." He said as he walked over and stood by the big chair at the end. "Just watch us and do the same when your master is here and you'll do fine." Kyo nodded and smiled.

Moments later all of the wolves came in and Kyo seen Talon bow to the Galle before pulling out his chair and help pushing him in. When Kyo looked at the family he noticed that all the family sat by age or birth from the alphas right to left all the way down to the end where what looked like the alpha's mate was sitting. Once all sat the food came in and the humans placed it in front of all the wolves but they all waited until Galle started eating and the rest dug in. The family talked and laughed like a normal family which brought a smile to Kyo's face. After dinner was over and the slaves took the plates from the tables next came in the desert. At this point Kyo's stomach was aching due to the fact that he really didn't eat much at dinner with the other slaves.

As desert was devoured the wolves slowly made their way into the common room. Kyo stood where he was until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked over to see Talon smiling at him." Let's go. We have to follow our master into the room." The two walked into a nice cozy room that had a lit fireplace and chares or couches. Kyo looked back into the other room and seen the other humans starting to clear off the tables but Kyo sat near Talon in the corner. Kyo looked at the family and smiled a little at the pups wrestling and the whole family talking and laughing. The two talked to each other quietly so that they didn't disturbed the wolves' family time. Unlike Kyo talon told him he was born a slave and stayed with his family until he was 18 then sold to a worker at the palace. The mentioning of family made Kyo's smile fade as he told Talon his story about where he came from and how his family died. Talon's smile also faded when he seen how much Kyo has been alone in this world.

Talon placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, if I know your master. Which I do by the way, I think that you'll be quite happy here."

"I Hope so."

"Slave." Kyo's head shot up to see Galle looking at him.

"Yes lord Galle." Kyo said as he stood up.

The wolf smiled and motioned his head to the door. "Your master should be home soon so I think you should be in his chambers when he gets there."

"Yes Lord Galle." Kyo bowed good night and made his way to Icewaver's chambers. He sat patiently on the couch near the window in the common room. Kyo was starting to get bored that he decided to get up and start cleaning off one of the desks.

As soon as he got done with the desk the door flew open and Icewaver stormed in. "That fucking cunt." He yelled as he started to pace around the room. Kyo looked at the wolf's chest as he turned towards him and noticed his whole chest was red from what looked like red wine or some other drink. "I can't believe that bitch did that for him." Icewaver started to strip off some of his armor and threw it across the room.

He untied his shoulder plate and spun around and threw it as hard as he could. Once the armor left his hand he quickly turned to head to his room but something stopped him in his tracks. He heard someone groaning and he looked over to see Kyo crouched in the corner holding his right arm. Icewaver's eyes grew wide as his anger quickly turned to worry as he rushed over to his slave. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." He said as he crouched down and looked at his slave's arm to see that it had a small cut on it and was bleeding. "Damn... I didn't mean to..."

"It's ok master..." Kyo said as he clenched his arm tighter to try and slow the bleeding. "There is no reason to apologies to me."

Icewaver pulled a cloth out of the dresser and tied it around his arm. "No...I shouldn't have thrown that armor...it's just that tonight I..." he looked up at Kyo and smiled. "Um... actually I'm going to go take a quick bath to get the drink out of my fur." He said as he tried to forget what happened that evening.

They both got up and the wolf started to head to his bathroom. "Um... master."

The wolf stopped and looked at Kyo. "Yes was is it?"

"I was wondering if there is anything else for me to do."

The wolf shook his head. "No you're good for the day...why?"

"Um... Dusk said that when I'm done for the day that I need to go to the building out back with the rest of the slaves." Kyo winced at the loud sound of the wolf's laugh.

Icewaver came up to Kyo and wrapped his arms around him. "Don't be silly, you're my slave. Thus you will sleep here, not with the rest of the other slaves..." he soon bent down and licked the side of Kyo's face and smiled at him. "Do you understand?" Kyo blushed when he got licked but managed to nod. "Good... you will be sleeping on the couch on the opposite side of my room." Icewaver let him go and started to head back into his bathroom. "Your blankets are in the back part of my closet. When you wake up you'll need to fold them and put them back."

Kyo turned and headed for the closet once he heard the door close. In the back corner he found a pillow and two blankets nicely folded. He got them out and walked into the bedroom. Once there he saw that the couch was actually going to be comfortable. He laid one blanket down and placed the pillow on the arm rest before laying the last blanket over it. Kyo lay down and stared out the near window and gazed up at the moon, the thought of his village came back into his mind as he rubbed the cloth that was over his cut.

"I wonder how Alsea is doing." Kyo said out loud.

"Is that the name of your mate?" Kyo jumped and looked at the door to see his master standing in the door way with a towel wrapped around his waist and his paints in one of his paws.

Kyo looked down at his feet and curled his legs close to him. "No master, just a close friend."

"Oh... How's your arm?"

Kyo smiled at the wolf while rubbing his arm. "Its fine master."

Icewaver gaze fell to the floor at the sight of Kyo, even though he looked happy the wolf knew that in his eyes he was lonely and sad. He walked over to the side of his bed and tossed his paints into a basket and he threw the covers to make room for him to get in. Kyo kept his eyes on his master until Icewaver took off his towel and Kyo quickly looked the opposite way blushing deep red.

Ice waver slipped into his bed and blew out the candle on his night stand. Kyo lay back down but this time he threw one of the blankets over him as he curled up and rolled over so his back was facing towards the wolf. The thought of his village still fresh in his mind as he slowly drifted off to sleep.
