LONG!!Sorry :P

This one is almost exclusively in dream world, this is my first attempt at a combat story so excuse the obvious problems.

Weapon info from google, I really don’t recommend visiting google if you are under 18!!! IT CAN BE NORTI!(ps. I know I spelt this wrong)

Google maps is awesome for planning Korm’s attacks

Town names are actual towns in South Australia, but I seriously doubt any of this stuff happens there. Or maybe it does….

Â

Korm checked his chamber and flicked the safety off, his Wilson Combat S.D.S 4, this pistol was his baby, it only held seven rounds compared to the usual eight of a standard Wilson, but it was more concealable and it produced less recoil allowing for quick firing. On his side in a small black leather holster he had a Ka-Bar Fighting Utility Knife, and two clips for his pistol were in the lower pockets of his jacket. A close-knit strap looped around his chest, and on his back was an Armalite AR-18L, a short, light submachine gun with a 20 round mag.

Â

Korm turned to his companion, she was also heavily armed. She had in her hands a Nighthawk Talon 45 II, it had an eight round magazine and a sound suppressor attached, she also had two rounds but hers were inserted into slots on her belt. While Korm was wearing a jacket with a Kevlar vest underneath, she had no need for such armour. The speed and stealth that she moved with meant she was rarely seen before taking out her victims. On her hip she had an Agram 2000, a weapon designed in Croatia that was incredibly silent and had a twenty-two round magazine. She also had on her back a long range JS 7.62mm sniper rifle, it only weighed five kilograms and she could dump it when she need to go stealthy because it was equipped with a small homing device, like all their weapons.

_Â _

â€It’s time to go.†She nodded her approval, her face showed a broad range of emotion, ranging from hate for the people who had attacked them once again, to love for her husband, to fear for her child.

_Â _

â€Nos mos addo nex sibimet.†She said this in a rather quite voice, calm and ready, as she had been the last time they attacked, this was the third time now. The first attack had gone differently. The first time they had been living in the small town near Eyre, the Lab had allowed them to live in Oondatta. It had come in the middle of the night like this one but it hadn’t been as bold. There had been only three men all equipped for a low impact mission, all they had to do was kill a scientist. His wife, who had not been his wife at that stage, had automatically protected him, not stopping with the assailants, she had taken their weapons and used them. She annihilated the men, when she was out of ammo she resorted to tearing at them with her claws, she couldn’t forgive the trespass of them attacking him.

_Â _

â€Yes we will.†Korm grabbed a P.D.A out of his jacket, it had a direct link to the bunker and in the bunker, he had access to the Lab’s information systems. He flicked the stylus over the surface and came to a satellite picture of the area after the bomb exploded. The men had gone west. The map picture indicated that they were heading for Mimili, a town about 370 kilometres away, it was the only town in that direction unless they intended to head deeper into the desert. That suited them fine, they could make travel arrangements.

_Â _

Korm put the P.D.A back in his jacket and grabbed his mobile out instead, he dialled a single speed-dial number. A man answered in a gruff voice.

_Â _

â€Sup?†His slang annoyed Korm but this guy was good at what he did.

_Â _

â€I need transport to within twenty kilometres of Mimili, our home has just been hit these bastards are asking for more from us.†Korm heard his wife make a katty grunt of agreement.

_Â _

â€Transpo will arrive in ten, it’ll be fast and quiet.†Korm hit the red button, cutting off the call. His wife had re-engaged her safety and put the weapon back in its holster, Korm stayed on alert in case they decided to come and do another search.

_Â _

Ten minutes later a MH-6 Little Bird Helicopter landed in what used to be their lounge room. This helicopter could easily carry eight men on the support seats to the skids, if they had been there and if they needed them. This variation was stripped down, it still had its main armaments, two 70mm Hydra rocket pods, and a 30mm chain gun but the side seats and the internal mounted guns had been removed, as well as the twin .50cals that were usually mounted underneath. This chopper under full weight could travel at 272 kilometres per hour, stripped down like this they would be at their target in just over an hour.

_Â _

As they approached a pilot jumped out, handing the headset and helmet to Korm. He walked to the side of the passenger hatch and jumped up. A few seconds later a motorbike roared out the hatch and raced off presumably headed back to base. Korm gave the helmet and headset to his wife and they both unloaded their guns into the secure compartments in the passenger hold. Korm kept his pistol though, in case of emergencies. He flicked the safety back on and jumped in the passenger seat and then they were airborne.

Â

One hour and thirty two minutes later, they touched down ten kilometres east of Mimili, there had been no action in the air and no reverse pings of a radar detecting them so they chanced getting as close as possibly but still out of audio range. Before the rotors had even spun down, they were on the move. It was still dark, but it was only a few hours till dawn. They settled in for a long march running twenty paces then walking twenty, this was the fastest way to cover long distance without wearing yourself out. As they ran Korm ran through the past years events in his mind.

_Â _

Forty-five minutes later, and they were kneeling in the scrub watching the movements within the town, they had heard some cars driving around on approach, but up close the town seemed asleep. They were just to the south of town in the scrub on a large rock outcropping; it gave them a perfect view of almost the entire town.

_Â _

Korm pointed to an arrow shaped building to their right, and his female companion shifted the rifle to point in that direction. The JS 7.62mm had a 10x scope so the building jumped into crisp view, the lights providing her with the necessary illumination. She watched the bushes and trees checking wind and Korm whispered an inclination and meterage in her ear. The silenced, gas suppressed gun kicked in her grip and two guards that had been conversing while checking their weapons, fell with identical forehead decorations. She quickly brought the weapon around and took out the other guard on patrol heading down the same path. Then after several minutes of waiting for more targets, she folded the small bi-pod, flicked on the safety and covered it with leaves, they would pick it up on the way out of town if they had time, if not it would remain hidden for weeks, possibly months or years in this area, there may not even be anyone left to search for it.

_Â _

â€Videlicet agito†Clear. Move. Korm sprang up and ran down the hill, she separated from him and began to quickly move out of sight. She was headed for the back of the building while he would take the front.

_Â _

In a flurry of dust he hit the bottom and levelled out, sprinting from cover to cover he approached the target building. It was definitely the right one, he had to bypass several ‘anti-intrusion’ devices, which consisted mainly of cameras. As he was getting closer, he slowed his pace. He was reduced to a mere crawl, but patience was a virtue and it only the living had virtues. He was lying in a bush waiting for his wife signal when a sentry walked by. Slowly he pulled his knife from the holster and stood up, the darkness was just enough that his outline could be seen if the guard was paying attention, but he was being lax and it was coming to the end of his shift. Korm ghosted around to the man’s rear and with barley a sound, he drew the knife across the mans throat at the same time, he clamped his other hand over his mouth and pulled him backwards onto the ground. He rolled sideways and shoved the man into the bushes to avoid the gushes of blood as he gurgled his remaining life away. He crept in after a few moments, cleaned his knife on the man’s shirt and removed his radio, his pistol and two clips of ammunition. It was always better to have more guns than the enemy in the off chance that you needed them; the man also had two m-84 flash grenades.

_Â _

After removing the grenades and proceeding, the signal was given to move to the building. They would meet up at the side first and then assault the front and back. He reached the large green box that she was hiding behind and they exchanged a few looks, which was all that was needed to communicate that neither had been hurt, she also handed him an additional m-84 and keycard which he stowed in his top pocket.

_Â _

Then the real assault began. Korm crept along the wall keeping an eye out for sentries they hadn’t seen and once he reached the door, he waited fifteen seconds.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

_Â _

He knocked hard on the door, and heard footsteps approaching from within, one set. He quickly shuffled to the left hand side of the door and as it swung open the guard was thrown backwards. Four bullets from Korm’s Wilson. The roof was painted with the mans vital organs, the bullets entering from the low angle and exiting high on the mans back. He was dead before he hit the ground. Less than a second later Korm was up and moving. He pulled the pin on one m-84 and pitched it clearly into the room on the right of the hallway.

_Â _

BANG!

_Â _

A huge bright flash lit up the wall opposite the door and one man staggered out bleeding from both ears and clutching his eyes, as soon as he was clear of the door he was dead, the bullet had added more blood to his ears passing in his right ear and out his left, he fell almost neatly onto the other dead man. . Two bullets left in the mag

_Â _

He sidled up to the door crouched low and peaked. His efforts were rewarded with a random spray from the other guy in the room. Bullets passed through the walls above his head, and he let himself slide to the floor. The guard inside must have at least blurred vision back. Korm calmly reloaded his gun, pulled the pin on a second stun grenade, held it for two seconds and then threw it. It popped almost right in front of the mans eyes, which prompted him to scream and unload the remainder of his clip into the roof and floor.

_Â _

CLICK, CLICK, CLICK.

_Â _

Korm stood turned and shot the man through the nose. As he checked the three dead men, he could hear his wife have an equally good time on the other side of the building. He would hear a loud screech as she attacked, followed by automatic weapons fire, followed by the inevitable screams as she preferred her claws in close range. She was distracting them long enough to flick the lights off and then she moved in, her eyes adjusted faster than theirs and a few satisfying times she had even gotten the men to shoot each other in the confusion.

Korm removed two more m-84’s from the dead men to replenish his stock and also found an AN-M-14 incendiary grenade, nasty stuff. They burn at over 2000 degrees Celsius. After ensuring that the room and hallway were once again clear, he rigged an m-84 on the front door just in case someone came to check up, and met up with his wife who was using a brown shirt to wipe the dark blood off of her hands and feet. It seemed that this building was clear, as they were readying to proceed to the next one, they heard a loud hiss and turned to see the wall lifting away. They both dived away from each other. She ended up in a dark room she had just emerged form and Korm ended up in the hallway.

A huge torrent of weapons fire spewed forth from the wall. The cameras had seen them, not surprising since the use of the stun grenades had given them away anyway. Korm was lying on the ground waiting for the fire to abate as chunks of the walls rained down around him. He couldn’t see yet if it was an automated fire system or if there was someone aiming it, but he knew it needed to go. He could see his wife in her room, now that the walls was almost gone altogether. He signalled to her that she need to get back as far into her room as possible, then he pulled the pin and shoved the AN-M-14 around the corner.

_Â _

Next came an ungodly scream, the smell of flesh fusing with metal, and the sound of hundreds of bullets firing as they reached huge temperatures. He stayed where he was for almost thirty seconds, once he was relatively sure that the bullets had all gone off he peaked. He was looking directly at a guard that had moved up the stairs, who was pointing a Mossberg M3 shotgun his way.

_Â _

Two bullet holes appeared in the man’s chest, and once in his cheek. Then the human-cat hybrid crouch walked form the opposite room. They both stood and moved down the corridor covering each other with their pistols. They moved down several flights of stairs, not meeting any guards until the came to a large steel door with a scanner to one side. Korm swiped the card and then flattened himself against the wall.

_Â _

Several HE Fragment grenades flew out and landed beside them. Both he and his wife dropped their pistols, drew their sub-machine guns, flicked off the safety and launched themselves into the doors, rolling around to the inside to avoid the grenades.

_Â _

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

_Â _

The nades went off in rapid succession almost merging into one blast. They had begun shooting before even hitting the ground, taking down 3 guards before the nades blew. They were now taking cover behind a steel desk. Korm could hear several men moving around and was hoping that they weren’t going to throw any more grenades. He pulled out one of his three remaining m-84’s showed it to his wife, who covered hear ears, then he pulled the pin, peaked and threw.

_Â _

He had seen them organizing behind a similar desk on the far side, and aimed his throw at the roof above them. The small metal canister hit the roof making a ‘tink’ sound, and the momentum plus the gravity dropped it into the laps of the soldiers. Several harsh words issued forth, then a bang and a blinding light, then Korm was standing on one side of them and his wife on the other. He shot the one on the left she shot the one on the right, and then he used his last bullet on the middle guard. They both crouched behind the desk and reloaded before moving further into the facility. Korm had checked the bodies, but as he thought they had all thrown their grenades at first contact.

They only met one more security door, before they were standing outside what looked like a command post, a poorly designed one. It was like a rabbit warren with only one entrance, and they were the ferrets. This rabbit had no escape route and he knew it.

_Â _

They flattened themselves against the wall and waited to see what the man inside would do. He fired several ineffective shots from behind his desk, at which point Korm let his gun swing free to his side, and drew his pistol. He waited until he heard that sound that all gunfighters dread.

_Â _

CLICK, CLICK, CLICK.

_Â _

Then they ran inside he stood up as they did and Korm shot him once in the left knee and in the left arm that was holding the pistol It clattered uselessly to the ground and he fell heavily beside it.

_Â _

Korm shut the large metal security door, and his wife over-rode the keycard so no other guards could interrupt their fun. In a few moments they had the man in a chair tied with the straps they had taken off their guns.

Without even asking a question Korm threw a punch at the man he assumed had ordered the attack, then he allowed his wife to step in while he asked questions, she ‘motivated’ him.

_Â _

_â€Who are you?†The man grunted and spat some blood-tainted saliva in Korm’s direction. His wife took one claw and inserted it deep into his thigh, and dragged it down his leg slicing open the muscles, she stopped just before she hit the femoral artery, they didn’t want him to bleed to death too soon.

_

The man screamed in pain, his eyes were darting wildly trying to think of a way out.

_Â _

â€Want to do it again? WHO ARE YOU?†The main whimpered, and she went to work on his calf muscles.

After several more incoherent screams, a name emerged. Sam, Sam Lester.

_Â _

â€Good, good. We have morphine, we can make you comfortable if you help us. Otherwise she doesn’t mind using her claws.†At this, she flexed her fingers to emphasize the point that she had more to use. Five of them on each hand if he chose not to help. The man nodded slightly, and Korm shoved and auto injector in the still intact left thigh. The man almost instantly sighed.

_Â _

â€Now you tell us who you work for, I assure you, she can work through your morphine and you don’t want that.â€Â His eyes were slightly glazed in a dopey state. The morphine had effected him a lot, but, there was also a slight dosage of sodium pentothal in it as well.

_Â _

â€I can tell you ….I can tell you.†The man babbled.

_Â _

â€I work for…†The man’s head exploded.

_Â _

A sharp pain shot through Korm’s head and a bright light hit his eyes.

_Â _

_Â _

â€Mr.Korm, my name I am Wade Conners, and I require your help.†Korm was staring up into the face of the blonde haired man, Nameless now had a name.
