#3 of Rain and Snow

Things may be taking a turn for the better as Jessica moves in and up with her new friend, Jim. But not everyone is happy with the sudden change, and life with the new roommates is full of a few unexpected surprises.

Jessica had a noticeable spring in her step as she packed up her belongings, excited for the prospects of moving out and up. It had only taken a week to sort out the paperwork, and after just a few signatures she was all set to move out of Milton Hall and in with Jim and the others. All she had to do was pack up all her things and move them halfway across campus, a task made less daunting since her friends had agreed to help. Not everyone was as pleased with the move however; Cassie was sitting on her bed, scowling and refusing to help in the slightest.

"I can not believe you are bailing on me like this." The feline spat. "It's only been, like, a month, and you're moving out on me, just like that? I thought we were friends."

"Friends don't have sex in their friend's bed, Cassie." Jess replied, clearly still bitter about it. "At best I might say we're acquaintances, but friends is a bit much."

"Are you still upset about that? I said I was sorry. I even cleaned your sheets for you. What more do you want?"

"For you to admit you shouldn't have done it in the first place."

"Whatever." Cassie muttered. "Most action that bed's seen all month."

Jessica let out an annoyed sigh, the feline's complaints starting to ruin her good mood. "Why are you even upset by this? You're getting your own room out of the deal. The whole room to use as you see fit, with no roommate to complain about you staying up late, or playing music too loud, or having sex whenever you want. You should be loving this."

"Well I'm not." Cassie huffed. "I thought we were gonna be B.F.F.'s for the year, but suddenly you're moving out without even telling me first. We could've been besties. Cassie and Jessie forever."

"Well that's not happening. And I told you not to call me Jessie. I hate that name."

"But why? It's such a cute name."

"Because I don't like it." Jess replied, finally turning to face the feline. "And that should be enough of a reason. I don't like being called Jessie, and if you were my friend you'd respect that. This is why I'm moving out, Cassie. Because you just do whatever you want and have no respect for me or my stuff. Maybe we could still be friends, but not if we have to live together."

"Whatever." Cassie grumbled, getting up and making for the door. She muttered a "Bitch." under her breath as she left, just loud enough for Jess to hear. The young fox just flipped her middle finger at the retreating woman before returning to her packing, glad to be rid of the calico.

"Well, somebody looks cranky." Mako said as she walked into the room, Jim following close behind. "I take it she ain't helping."

"Nope, and we're better off without her." Jess smiled, her mood quickly improving at their arrival. "Thanks for helping me move all this stuff, guys. You really didn't have to."

"It's no big deal. We're glad to help." Jim replied. "You need one of us to get into the building anyway."

"Oh yeah, I still have to swap my keys after we get this stuff moved. Wait, how'd you two get in the building then?"

"Some guy outside was havin' a smoke, and he let us in."

"Glad to know the building's secure." Jessica chuckled with a roll of her eyes. "Well I pretty much have all my things packed up. Some of these bags might be heavy though. Maybe I should get the car."

"Fuck that. Just give me the heavy shit." Mako insisted with a confident grin. "I'll carry your stuff and you, no sweat."

"No, that's quite alright. I don't mind walking. I think the suitcase and duffle bag are the heaviest, but I really don't mind getting my car."

Still grinning, Mako hoisted the bag over her shoulder with ease. She flexed her free arm, a noticeable bicep bulging under her tattooed skin. "I can bench my own body weight. These bags are nothing."

"Oh quit showing off." Jim said with a smirk, grabbing one of the other bags. "Let's move everything first, then you can show her all the one handed push ups you can do."

"Don't tell me we missed the push up party." They turned to see a tall capuchin enter, a well dressed goat following close behind. "However will I show off these sexy noodle arms?"

"Chip! Francis! Glad you're here." Jess beamed, already handing a box to Chip. "With five of us we should be able to do this in one trip."

"Of course I'm here to help." Francis said, offering the women a polite tip of his hat. "You know you can always count on me for assistance."

"Good. Then take this and follow the muscular shark." Jess dumped a box into the man's arms, grabbing what was left for herself. "Alright, let's get this train rolling. I want to trade in my keys then get settled into my new place pronto."

"It's fortunate this opportunity presented itself." Francis said as they made their way out of the building. "A raucous freshman dorm like this just isn't the place for a driven and hardworking woman like you. I've heard those apartments are a much more conducive work environment."

"I don't know about that, but you'll be able to sleep at night at least." Jim said with a smirk.

"You are pretty lucky though." Chip agreed. "Getting a cozy room upgrade after just a month. Didn't even think they'd allow it."

"Yeah, it was actually pretty easy. Although I did have to convince my parents it would be worth the extra cost. It's not exactly covered by my scholarships, so my tuition went up a little. I just have to pay them back, eventually."

They made it to the apartment in short order, glad to drop off all Jessica's belongings after climbing the stairs up to her new dorm. "Thank you all for all the help, guys. I'll make it up to you all, I promise. Now to spend the rest of the day unpacking everything I spent all morning packing."

"You can repay me in cash or snacks." Chip chuckled. "Preferably snacks."

"You don't have to repay me." Francis insisted. "I was happy to help. In fact, if you like I can help you unpack and set everything up. I am at your service."

"Thanks, but I think I can handle it from here. Most of this stuff is clothes and school books. And not all of that stuff I want just anyone to see, y'know."

"Oh, right, of course. Well, should you need me for anything, don't hesitate to call."

"Yeah, what he said." Chip agreed, giving the fox a pat on the back. "Call me when you're all set and we'll chill."

"You got it. I'll see you boys later. Now go and let me put my unmentionable away in peace."

"Use us for cheap labor then kick us out without even letting us rifle through your undies. I see how it is." Chip smirked, lightly punching the fox on the shoulder. "Fine. Guess I'll catch you later, nerd."

"Later, dork. See you later, Francis." Jessica lead the boys out the door, unable to wipe the smile from her face "Alright, time to get unpacking."

She took a look around her new room, assessing the free space while mentally planning out how to best use it. The room was already larger than her previous one, with even more space added thanks to Jim having set the beds up as bunkbeds. The snow leopard was tucked in the far corner of the room just past the beds, keeping herself busy at her computer. This left the other desk and top bunk for Jessica, which was plenty of space for her.

"So, this is my place now." She muttered, placing her laptop bag on the empty desk. "This feels right, like a fresh start. A chance to really buckle down and take all my classes more seriously. Jim, is it alright if I bring some of my more personal stuff here? Posters and plushies and stuff?"

"Sure, bring whatever you want. Plenty enough room for more posters."

"Thanks!" Jessica flashed her a smile before grabbing her things. After just a moment though she stepped over to Jim's desk, a more sincere smile on her face. "Seriously, thank you so much for all this. It means so much that you'd give up this privacy just for me. I don't know how to even begin properly thanking you."

"You don't have to." Jim replied. "You're my friend, and I'm happy to help, and have you as my roommate. I'm honestly looking forward to it. I think this could make for an interesting year for the both of us."

"Yeah, you're right." Jessica beamed. "Guess I'm just really excited. I think this is gonna turn out to be an amazing year."

A soft moan escaped Jessica's lips as she sleepily hit the snooze on her phone's alarm, trying to make herself wake up for the day. It may have been the weekend but she never liked to sleep in too late. She woke up even faster than expected when she swung a paw over the edge of the bed, and had a near heart attack when she didn't feel the floor beneath it. Suddenly wide awake, the young fox remembered she now slept in the top bunk of a bunkbed and could no longer simply roll out of bed in the morning. "That's gonna take getting used to."

Carefully, Jessica lowered herself from her bed, trying not to wake her roommate and not loose her shirt on the way down. Not that she had to worry about Jim sneaking a peek. A thick sheet had been hung around the lower bed, supposedly to block out the morning sun and make things easier on the snow leopard's eyes. It was a little odd, but certainly preferable to her previous situation.

"I didn't think he actually stayed up so late every night." Jess thought, glancing at the lower bed. "He was still up and going when I went to bed. I always thought he was just exaggerating."

Not wanting to wake Jim up, and eager to take advantage of the full apartment, Jessica opted to take her laptop out to the common room. She wasn't expecting any of the others to be up before nine, but to her surprise Kari was already out on the couch, playing some video games in the early morning light.

"Good morning, Jessica." The chinchilla greeted her warmly. "How was your first night? Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, thank you." Jessica returned the smile, sitting beside her as she powered up her laptop. "It was so quiet and calm, and I didn't have to worry about a roommate bursting into the room high and trying to have sex on my desk. A refreshing change, really."

"I think you'll like rooming with Jim." Kari said, her main attention once again on her game. "She's very mellow, and prefers having sex in beds. Assuming Melody can pull her away from her tablet. Obsessed with her art, she is."

"Oh. I've been following him long enough to know about the art obsession." The fox replied with a laugh. "I've even bought art from him. And I'm quite alright with rooming with a quiet artist."

"And what about you?" Kari asked. "Are you an artist as well? Or perhaps a musician?"

"No, nothing like that. I'm getting a communication degree, mostly geared towards broadcasting. I want to be a meteorologist, at least as a start. Anything involving meteorology and weather sciences really. What about you? What are you majoring in?"

"Theater production." Kari stated proudly. "Directing, specifically. Some people want to act in the theater, be a part of the show. I want to direct it, to command every part of the show, big and small."

"I guess that means you'll be directing my friend, Maxi-nee, then. She's a theater major too, for acting, so I'm sure oh god!"

Jessica's train of thought was immediately derailed when she saw Mako walk into the common room completely nude. Her muscles rippled under her taut skin, flexing softly with each step the sleepy shark took. Most eye catching however were the pair of phalluses hanging between her legs, the unexpected display of masculinity making Jessica blush.

"Well good morning, sunshine." Kari said warmly, unphased by the display. She glanced over to see Jessica staring, mouth agape and a noticeable blush on her cheeks. "Looks like you've left our new roomie speechless."

"Oh! I'm sorry!" Jess exclaimed, blushing even brighter as she averted her gaze. "I just... I wasn't expecting..."

"The double dicks?" Mako chuckled, getting comfortable on the adjacent couch. "I know quite a few guys who wish they were as gifted as me."

"I mean, yeah. But, also the naked." Jess admitted, not sure what to make of Mako's display or Kari's comfort with it. "Why are you naked?"

"Jim didn't tell you that I'm a nudist, did she?" Mako sighed as the embarrassed fox shook her head. "Dammit. I'm sorry, Jess, I thought she would'a told ya. I prefer to be naked is all, as a casual comfort thing. I'll put on a shirt if you're uncomfortable with it."

"No, it's alright." Jess insisted, though her nervous blush persisted. "You guys are kind enough to let me move in here. I don't want to inconvenience you any more."

"That's how she get's you used to it." Kari teased. "When we all started living together last year, she started out fully dressed. Then slowly but surely she'd start hanging out with less clothes on. Sometimes topless, sometimes with no pants but a long shirt. Eventually we were just used to it as a thing, so she just goes around with no shame."

"Hey, I told you guys I'd wear clothes if any of you felt uncomfortable. You just never complained. And that goes for you too, Jessica. I'll throw some shorts on right now if you want me to."

Jessica simply shook her head, so the shark left it at that. "Alright. Just let me know if you plan to have anyone over, and I'll try to be covered up."

Jess dared to give the shark another look over as she settled into the couch to watch Kari play her game. Though surprising, the nudity didn't really bother her. Plus Mako had seemed sincere about covering up for her, despite her own preferences. It certainly felt like more consideration that her previous roommate would have given her. Poor Jess had seen Cassie fully nude within the first week, with little more than a shrug of apology.

Overcoming her embarrassment, Jessica settled into the couch and busied herself with her laptop, making herself get used to this new normal. "No regrets. I'd take all of them being gamer nudists than that crap over at Milton Hall."

"What do you mean she's living here now?" Melody asked, her tone a mix of shock and anger. She had taken the trip down to the college to surprise Jim, but found the tables turned with the news of Jessica's recent move. Now she was fuming, and Jim was the only available target for her ire. "But, this is our room."

"No, it's my room." Jim replied calmly. "You don't live here. You were going to live here, then you decided to drop out and do something else. That left an empty bed, which I offered to Jess."

"But, I thought that was my bed." The husky pouted. "Where will I sleep when I visit?"

"With me, in my bed." Jim said matter-of-factly. "You think I'm gonna let you sleep anywhere else when you're here?"

"Yeah, well, what if we want to have some alone time?" With a coy look Melody slid into Jim's lap, wrapping an arm around her as she snuggled into the snow leopard. "Y'know, cuddle close together, get all warm and wet under the sheets. Be as loud and crazy as we want all night long."

"Hm, that does sound fun." Jim agreed with a smirk, wrapping her arms around Melody's waist. "Pin you down and eat you up til you beg for me to stop."

"Oh yeah, baby." Melody purred. "I want you to just ravish me until I can't walk straight. Of course, we can't do that if the internet girl is here."

"She's not here now." Jim smirked, snaking her hands under Melody's shirt to seek out her rows of sensitive nipples. "She went home to grab some stuff, so we might have time for a quickie."

"But Jim, I want more than a quickie." The husky sighed, leaning into her girlfriend and enjoying the feel of her touch. "I want you to absolutely ravage me. Just eat me out for hours. Turn every part of my body to jello."

"I don't know what's gotten into you, Mel, but I kinda like it." With a growl Jim lifted the husky from her lap and onto her desk, pulling up her shirt to expose her stomach and chest. While a cute bra kept her breasts supported and covered, three pairs of dusky nipples lined her stomach, a veritable buffet for the feline. With an eager grin she leaned in, wrapping her lips around one of the teets and suckling it hungrily.

"Oh, Jim. That's what I need." Melody hummed, wrapping her arms around the snow leopard. "You have the best tongue, but I'd rather feel it somewhere else. Somewhere... lower. Maybe you should close the door."

"If you insist." With a parting kiss to Melody's nipple, Jim pulled away to close the door. She fully intended to take advantage of all the time she had, ravishing the girl while they still had the chance. She had only just made it to the door, however, when she heard Jessica return, thwarting those kinky plans. All she could do was offer Melody an apologetic shrug. She earned a scowl in response, the husky pulling her shirt back down in annoyance.

"Welcome back, Jess." Jim greeted the fox as she retreated back to her desk. "Didn't think you'd be back so soon."

"Yeah, I got lucky with traffic." Jess said, tossing a body sized pillow onto her bed before placing a box on her desk. "Plus my parents weren't home, so I was able to get in and out real quick."

"Wonderful." Melody muttered.

"Oh right, you haven't met yet." Jim said, hoping to keep things amicable. "Jess, this is my girlfriend, Melody. Mel, this is Jessica."

"Nice to meet you." Jessica said with a smile. "Jim's told me quite a bit about you."

"Oh did she?" Melody shot a quisitive look at the snow leopard. "Hopefully nothing bad."

"Not that I can think of." Jess said. "Alright, I've got one more box in my car and I'll finally be all set. Oh it's gonna be great to actually have personal stuff here! It'll finally start feeling like home."

"Do you need a hand?" Jim offered, already starting to follow the vixen towards the door.

"It's just one box." Jess chuckled. "I think I can handle it. You stay here and relax with your girl. I'll be right back."

"Yes, stay and relax." Melody said, scowling as Jessica left the room. She waited until she heard the fox leave the apartment before huffing at Jim. "So eager to help her carry one box and leave me here. I see how it is."

"What are you talking about?" Jim asked as the husky came around the desk to confront her. "I was just trying to be nice."

"Yes, be all nice to the pretty young girl, right in front of your girlfriend. You could at least wait until I'm gone before stumbling all over yourself for her."

"Not this again." Jim groaned. "I told you it's not like that."

"You'll have plenty of time to get nice and cozy with her." Mel continued. "For all I know you've been feasting on her and all sorts of women while I'm away."

"I am not cheating on you." Jim stated firmly. "I would never cheat on you. You really think an introvert like me is gonna go and sleep around with anyone? I barely have the courage to talk to random people, never mind have sex with them."

"You don't seem to have any trouble with that internet fox." Melody scowled. "In fact, you two seem pretty close for only knowing her a couple weeks."

"I've known her for almost two years." Jim countered. "And that whole time I've ever only thought of her as a friend, nothing more. You're my girlfriend, Melody. You're the only one I'm having sex with. I love you, and I would never cheat on you."

"Well... I love you too." Melody muttered, walking up to Jim so they could share a hug. "Maybe I'm just being silly. I worry sometimes..."

"You don't have to worry about that, Mel." Jim assured her. "Just because you're not here doesn't mean I'm doing anything without you. I can wait for you to visit for sex. My libido isn't that strong."

"You'll have to wait even longer with her here." The husky grumbled. "But, I guess we can manage."

"We'll make it work. If I ask nice I'm sure she won't mind chilling in the living room for a bit." She gave her girlfriend a kiss, gently biting her lower lip as she pulled back. "No matter what, I promise you're legs will be numb by the end of the night."

"You're too good to me, baby." Melody grinned, giving Jim's ass a loving squeeze. "I'm sorry I ever doubted you."

"When have I ever given you a reason to doubt me?"

Melody could only offer a shrug for an answer. "I don't know. If you were cheating on me I wouldn't have anyway of knowing."

"Just because I would get away with it doesn't mean I'd do it." Jim replied. "I have some morals, y'know."

"I know. I'm just being paranoid. It's just... I know how you can get when you see something you want."

"And you're the only one I want." Jim assured her. "So stop worrying so much. I can control myself, believe it or not."

"I know." Melody sighed, leaning against Jim as they held each other close. Despite her words, her tone hinted that she wasn't quite so certain.

Jim picked up on that tone, but there was little she could do about it. After all, the best way to prove she was faithful was simply to act as such. Even if the accusation left her with a small ache in her heart.
