Everyone has there own demon, It's time for someone to let him out. (Re-edited version)

The alarm clock rang, the tone, that I've grown to hate, banging in my ears. Slamming my paw down on the stop button the sound quickly died. I wanted to go back to sleep but I knew that my mom was already on her way to make sure I was awake.

Getting up from the bed, I stretched my legs and arms, yawning as I do so. Almost like clockwork, my mom entered my room.

"Rise 'n shine sleepy head!" She said, giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before leaving. Wiping the crud out of my eyes I walked over and slipped on my basketball shirt and sweat pants. Stopping to look in the mirror attached to my closet door. I'll admit I wasn't the prettiest fox in the world, but being sixteen isn't really easy, especially since puberty hit me like a train.

I was always a normal kid, did normal things and such. Except for a disorder that has run in my family, I would of appeared normal but the problem was the disorder gave me BLUE fur, completely blue, except for the white tips of my ears and tail. I sighed, knowing today would be another day of teasing and punishment from the school jocks, cheerleaders, even the band geeks don't get bullied as much as I do.

"James! Get down here before your food gets cold!" Shouted my mother, Taking one last glance in the mirror, I headed to the hall and into the kitchen where my mother waited with some pancakes and orange juice. My mother, who had normal red and white fur, was in her early 30's but, with some help of yoga and various other exercises, still could probably pass as a teenager in my high school.

"Here you go, Hun." She gave me the pancakes with a smile that could win awards "I want you to get plenty of energy for school, don't want you falling asleep in class." I smiled back, sitting down at the table with my breakfast and juice.

"Thank you, mom" I drank down the juice and ate the pancakes, putting the dirty plates in the sink. I went and kissed my mom goodbye went to the door, grabbing my black hoodie off the rack and picked up my back pack.

I had just gotten to the bus stop in time to see a small line of furs getting on the bus. Dressed in my hoodie, I felt better, at least that way it'll take kids a few minutes before they recognized me as the "Blue Freak" as many have called me. My paws in my hoodie pockets and the hood over my head, I headed on the bus and sat in the very last seat, staring out the window and watching the world drive by.

As I had predicted, it took half the ride to Jamestown High School for anyone to recognize me, first it started off as whispers.

"There's that blue freaky kid." I heard someone near the front say.

"Yeah, I heard that he's gay." Came a reply, I ignored them; I knew it wasn't over until one of the Jocks takes notice. It wasn't long either.

"Hey! Freak boy! I heard your mom's as freaky as you! That true!?" I felt a large ball of rage fill in the pit of my stomach, like a wildfire but I didn't answer, nor did I stop looking out the window.

"Yo Freak, I'm talking to you!" There was anger in the voice, and I knew who it was. Chad Russell had always been a jock, pushed by his dad, and occasionally beaten, to always be the best, I couldn't say I felt sympathy for the Jock, having lost my dad in Vietnam, I didn't know much about him, so I couldn't really care much about Chad.

The teasing continued but the bus trip wasn't long and I was in class, before I could even think about what they were saying. Even class didn't stop the teasing, our desk where old, with a top that lifts, and a compartment for books. I sat down at my desk and lifted the wooden table top of my desk.

Although I knew that my torture wasn't over, I was still surprised to find the entire compartment and my geometry book, covered with glue. The muffled giggle from a nearby cheerleader, Cassie something-or-other, betrayed her innocent straight face and told me that she was the one that did it. I could feel that rage building in my stomach again but taking long deep breaths, I told my teacher what happened, skipping who I thought it was that did it.

The teacher, a tiger whose name tag said his name was, Tom Nelson, directed me to the corner of the room where a stack of replacement books sat on a shelf. Grabbing the first one I found, I sat down and began my studies.

The rest of the day went by pretty much the same way, from the glued up geometry book, to having my locker vandalized and the words; "Faggot" and "Queer", scribbled all over it. Trying my best to remain calm, I went about my daily work. Finally, school was almost over and I had to go practice basketball, the one thing I was very good at. The basketball coach, an otter by the name of Mr. Lenin sat on a bench and watched us practice, his eyes surveying the court like a hawk trying to find a fish in a lake, his tiny metal whistle firmly placed between his lips.

I felt good playing, especially when I was doing well and today, I was on fire! Dribbling past some jock, I jumped, dunking the ball over one of the jock's heads, it landed down on his muzzle with a thump and I saw him grab at his nose. I felt a large grin spread across my face, one that I knew I was going to regret eventually.

When it was time to hit the showers, I stripped down and began washing off my sweaty fur, closing my eyes and getting lost in the hot water streaming down on my face from the shower head.

It took me awhile to realize the entire locker room had gone silent, only when I turned the shower off did I realize the dead silence of the locker room. When I turned to see what was going on, I came face to face with a fire hose nozzle and a grinning Chad, plus a few other jocks holding the length of Fire hose pointing directly at me.

"Well, blue freak you made us look like a fool today" Chad said the grin on his face spreading. "And I think we should wash that grin off your face. Hell, maybe we'll wash the blue right out of your fur, make you normal" This brought some laughter from some of the guys. Before I could say anything or even call for help they pulled the trigger on the nozzle and cold water blasted my face. My head snapped back, hitting the concrete wall and before I knew it I was drifting in a sea of blackness.

When I awoke, I was in the hospital, my mother plus the coach was by my side and I was in a bed, with a bandage wrapped around my head. My mom was crying.

"M-mom what's going on?" I said, my head began pounding as soon as I opened my muzzle

"Be still." Came a voice from my left, I didn't dare turn my head, but I could see a bear, standing out of the corner of my eye, holding a clip board and dressed in a doctor's uniform.

The coach looked down at me and spoke 'You tripped on some soap and hit the concrete pretty hard."

'That's not what happened." I thought, making my head ache pound even worst. I was just about to say that when I slipped out of consciousness.

Then I was running, I wasn't in the hospital anymore but running along, on all fours, I must have been breaking some sort of record or something, my eyes were heightened beyond what they usually were, I could see it was night and I was in the woods, looking out on a cabin. I knew that cabin, it's where Chad went when he wanted to party. I could already hear the music even from where I stood.

I didn't tell myself to move or anything, my body did it for me, sprinting down a hill I leapt through a window, there was a scream, and a flash of blood before I realized I had landed on someone my muzzle squeezing into their neck and I twisted my head, tearing out there throat. More screams, I didn't understand any of it. But I slashed at the noise with my claws and found flesh.

There was a gargling as someone went down, landing on the floor with a thump. I noticed my paws, my claws where long and my fur around my paws was black, not blue. My head swiveled without me telling it to do so, and I noticed I was in what looked like a living room, the music blasted and furs stared at me in there muzzles open wide. I could see Cassie and Chad, and my mind didn't see them as furs but as enemies.

I jumped landing on Cassie and slashed at her, my long claws tearing through her feline face and destroying her. I felt a pounding on my back but it felt distant, I turned my muzzle open and snapped at Chad, getting his muzzle in mine and I bit down. Bones crushed, and blood spouted onto my tongue it tasted sweet instead of metallic.

Chad tried to scream but a slash from my new claws cut open his throat. He fell, clawing at the gaping wound in his neck, and then died; Cassie had stopped moving as well. A few jocks had run out of the cabin, screaming for their lives the ones that were too afraid to move where killed one by one by... Me? No it couldn't be me, I'm in the hospital. I must be having a dream, but the taste of blood, the feeling of flesh giving through my claws, it all felt so real.

When I had killed the last fur that remained in the cabin, smashing the cheerleaders skull against the a marble coffee table, I turned, catching myself in a mirror, I wasn't I, my fur was completely black, my eyes as red as the blood that now stained my black fur, I was naked, my ears where long, my claws, longer. I wasn't a fox I looked more like a horrid monster, more like a wolf or something. Taking one last glance in the mirror I passed out, or at least my mind did, I took no notice to what I did, It was like I feel asleep but my body didn't.

When I awoke, I was in my room again.

"What a weird dream." I said, even though I enjoyed every minute of it. Getting up from the bed I noticed I was wet, A look of concern that I may of had a wet dream had shot through my mind before I pulled off the covers and discovered I was naked underneath the bed, my fur and the surrounding bed spread was red with blood.

"No. This isn't right." I thought to myself. Getting up and going over the mirror, I looked my fangs where stained, my claws had bits of dirt in them. I was startled when my alarm clock rang but I let it ring this time. I quickly put on some clothes, looking around; the window was open so I shut it.

"Honey it's time for school!" My mom shouted from in the kitchen, I went into the kitchen, my mind a blur of last night, I didn't know what happened, or how it happened but I did know one thing. School's going to be pretty interesting today.
