'Hello?' Dienza called. 'Who's in here?' He crossed the kitchen hastily and dropped the two bags onto the table before rushing to the doorway. 'Who is...?' 'Sorry.' Risa looked up at him from the floor, a sheepish grin and big eyes on her face as she crouched down in a hunting stance. Val was on the opposite side of the room from her, in a similar stance and facing her. 'What the hell?' Dienza folded his arms and looked at Risa expectantly. 'Oh, we were just playing.' Risa said sheepishly. 'I wasn't gonna hurt her, even if she is willing. I mean even if I could get a rattis down in one piece I don't think I could get her back up in ti-' 'Not what I wanted to know.' Dienza cut her off. 'How did you get in?' 'The door wasn't locked.' Risa answered. 'Yes it was.' He smiled. 'Does your dad let you borrow his master key for funzies?' 'Borrow might not be the right word...' Risa blushed. 'Alright fine, I'll come clean. By the way there is no master key. Dad just has spares to each room. And no I didn't borrow one, I just... umm, well I picked the lock.' 'Oh I see.' Dienza nodded. 'Well that wraps up everything nicely. Oh hang on, no it doesn't. What the hell are you doing in here?' 'I just wanted to play with... your rat?' 'Bull.' Dienza growled. 'Were you looking for something? Because in my experience, only two kinds of people know how to pick locks.' 'What do you mean by your experience huh?' Risa stood up. 'Two kinds of people?' 'Yea.' Dienza nodded. 'So, either you're just a thief out to steal my TV, which I haven't even bought yet, or you're an undercover cop or something looking for... I don't know what you'd expect to find on me in here.' Risa burst into a fit of laughter and shook her head. 'Wow you are a clueless bastard.' She made to step past him into the kitchen but was barred by Dienza's arm reaching across the doorway. 'Unless you were after something less law related.' He grinned. 'Put your arm down.' She said calmly. 'Or I'm keeping it.' 'Take it.' Dienza challenged. Risa stared back at him and her lips curled slowly into a smile. 'You know what?' She began. 'I'd love to. But I actually need to run an errand for my sister. So I'll have to come back for it.' 'I'd like it if you knock first.' Dienza smirked. 'There's no point coming for my arm if I'm not here now, is there?' 'True enough.' Risa shrugged. 'Alright then Dienza, I'll see you another time.' 'I look forward to it.' He grinned, lowering her arm and watching her as she walked slowly towards the front door with a deliberate wiggle of her rear. It was a few moments after the door closed that he realized he'd been staring, only snapped out of it by Val's impatient tapping on one of his toes.

'Like this.' Dienza repeated. 'Keep yourself low, palms spread to minimize noise, and try not to let your tail wander.' He spread his stance on the living room floor and showed the rattis the best way to get ready for a pounce. 'Like this?' Val mimicked the leona's pose, but the shape of her legs meant it was more difficult for her to match his stance precisely. 'Good enough I guess.' He nodded. 'So long as you can pounce at a moment's notice. Micen can be crafty and if they're desperate enough to get away from you they'll try all sorts of things. You need to be ready to pin them down at a moment's notice once you have them cornered.' 'Alright.' Val nodded, listening closely to all the advice she was given. 'Where should I look?' 'They'll hang around the kitchen.' Dienza shrugged. 'Close to the food they try to steal. Actually, I think I should suss out that situation myself soon. In the meantime pick yourself a spot and wait it out.' 'Alright.' Val nodded excitedly and stood up, reaching up and gesturing with her hands. The leona rolled his eyes and picked her up, before re-entering the kitchen and setting her on the counter. Once she had explored the counter and found a few holes in the walls that micen would use for access, she hid herself beside Dienza's new kettle and waited. The leona smiled and dropped a bread crust smeared with a little bit of butter on the counter. 'I'm going to do some practicing.' Dienza said softly. 'I'm gonna head over to visit Ma later as well unless she beats me to it and comes here. If you're interested. Have fun.'

Dienza was a few rhythms in by the time he heard the scuffle in the kitchen. Letting the music fade slowly, he placed his guitar on its stand and rounded the corner through the doorway back to the kitchen. Val was backing up towards the corner of the counter and clutching a trembling micen in her hands. Two more micen were advancing on her, bearing needles in threatening positions. 'Dienza! Help!' She called. 'What's happening?' The leona demanded, glaring at the armed micen and placing his hand protectively in front of Val. 'I caught one.' Val replied, still shaking. 'Then her friends took out weapons and tried to attack me!' Dienza looked at the two micen, one man and one woman both sporting sharpened needles as swords. They had stopped moving forward, but hadn't retreated either. 'Wanna... explain yourselves?' Dienza asked, leaning a little closer to them and smiling. 'That's... That's our daughter!' The man replied shakily. 'We want her back!' Dienza looked at the micen clasped in Val's claws, dwarfed by the rattis' much larger stature. She was breathing rapidly, gripped by fear of her captor and now of the leona who appeared to be on the rattis' side. 'Your daughter... looks to be adult age, right?' Dienza shook his head. 'Which means she was caught by a predator fair and square. Normally you'd be within your rights to defend your kin, but I'm not gonna let you hurt my friend. Also this is her first hunt. So, I'm inclined to congratulate her.' 'No, please!' The young woman in Val's arms cried out before being squeezed tighter against the rattis' own belly and silenced with a hand over her mouth. 'Is there a colony in this apartment?' Dienza asked suddenly. 'If I tell you, will we get our daughter back?' The micen asked. 'No.' Dienza shook his head. 'I wanna meet with your leader. Establish rules and agreements. Maybe we can reach an accord to limit the number of... casualties your colony takes.' '...Fine. Yes there is.' He murmured. The look on his face had turned from fear to sorrow, and his wife was looking equally distraught. Val refused to meet their gaze and instead looked towards the leona before the counter. 'There's a good mouse.' Dienza leaned forward and swept his hand across the counter, catching both of them in his hand. Before they could react his other hand had pinched their arms together. With two fingers, he easily pried the needles from their hands before setting them back down. 'I'm feeling nice, so you two can go. But your girl belongs to Val now. Get going.' 'I'm so sorry...' The man held back tears as he took his first step backwards, his eyes painting a picture of agony as he tore them away from the girl he'd never see again. The mother was less inclined to leave, instead looking up at Dienza with a pleading expression. The leona simply shook his head in reply and gestured for her to leave. A thud could be heard as Val pressed her prey to the counter surface and sat herself down, immobilizing the micen and looking back over her shoulder as her former attackers retreated. 'Can we go somewhere else?' She asked. 'I don't feel as safe here. I never knew micen could be... armed.' 'Sure.' Dienza nodded, lifting the pair carefully in one hand and carrying them into the living room. He set them down on his desk and took a seat in front. 'So, are you excited?' 'Y-yes.' Val muttered, almost blushing through her fur. She lifted her shivering prey up close to her lips and gave the micen a slow lick across her face. 'No no please!' The girl begged. 'Shut up!' Val hissed. 'Be quiet or I'm gonna bite pieces off you one by one!' The micen complied, squeezing her eyes and lips shut and failing to hold back tears of sheer terror. Val rolled her eyes and sighed. 'Do they always... beg like this?' She asked. 'No. Sometimes they try to threaten you.' Dienza shrugged. 'It can be pretty funny. But micen are near the bottom of the food chain for a reason. Now go on. Or are you gonna have second thoughts?' 'No, I just...' Val paused. 'I mean, are you gonna watch?' 'Yes.' Dienza nodded. 'Why?' Val cocked an eyebrow. 'Curiosity.' The leona replied. 'I have a suspicion and I just wanna know something.' 'F-fine.' Val took a deep breath then exhaled. She lifted the micen so they were face to face again, but this time opened her mouth wide enough to fit the micen's whole head inside. The young woman opened her eyes at the worst time, trying to scream but being muffled just as the rattis' throat closed around her and she made her first loud wet gulp. 'Don't let her go.' Dienza giggled. 'Mmrrrrfff!' Val growled, tightening her grip on the now flailing mouse and pushing her in deeper, eyes watering a little from the effort as she made one swallow after another. Each gulp pulled the smaller body deeper until only a pair of twitching ankles and the tip of her tail was still visible protruding from the back of the rattis' throat. She closed her mouth and swallowed one more time, standing to use gravity to effect. Dienza smiled as he watched the last of the girl's bulging mass vanished from the rippling fur of Val's neck. 'How was it?' Dienza asked as Val dropped back to all fours panting. 'Ooh...' She murmured. 'That was amazing. I can feel her...' Dienza cut her off, lifting her in one hand while placing a finger on her belly. She blushed and almost squeaked at the odd attention. Dienza laughed softly as he too felt the micen's feeble struggles through Val's skin. 'How long will she last?' Val asked, suppressing a smile as a bout of muffled cries emanated from her insides. 'Only a minute or two at most.' Dienza answered, lifting the rattis closer to his own face and pressing his lips to her face. 'Oh... come on...' She said, but he could already feel her heartbeat becoming faster. He nuzzled her face a bit more firmly and smiled, holding her in place and feeling her resistance gradually fade. 'Just a little bit.' He murmured. 'Fine...' She relented, leaning forward as his lips parted. Her face brushed across his tongue and she reached her arms inside and took hold of two of his lower teeth. She managed to fit herself almost halfway inside, stopping herself just short of letting her head pass his throat. Dienza's lips closed around her midsection and he slurped slowly as if on a piece of ice cream. A rattis was not quite as sweet as a micen, but their flavour was not at all unpleasant. 'Is it true what Risa said?' Val asked between slow deep breaths. 'Would a leona be able to... swallow a rattis like me?' Dienza slowly pulled her out and held her close in his hand. 'Probably. But it would be a struggle. Kind of like you just had. Maybe even harder. Our bodies are a little different shape-wise.' 'So I could...' She looked down at the leona's belly. 'Yea but I don't think I could get you back out.' He shook his head. 'So that's a no on that.' 'Gimme another look!' She said suddenly. 'I... I feel so weird...' 'Hold onto your lunch.' Dienza grinned before lifting Val by her feet. He dangled her over his face and opened his mouth wide before lowering her inside, deeper than she had pulled herself before. Her startled and excited moan echoed in the tooth lined cavern before he felt her head pressing into his throat. He lowered her more and swallowed, hearing her squeaks of shock as his throat squeezed around her and tried its best to pull her down. He lowered her again, once more gulping her a little further. He repeated this twice more, until his throat had compressed around her hips and only the grip he had on her ankles prevented her from sliding all the way into his gullet. It was dangerous, but the thrill was incredible. With a slight deliberate retch, he pulled her out and set her back in his hand. She looked back up at him with a mix of fear and a blissful daze. 'How was that?' He asked, licking his lips and grinning at the drool soaked rodent before him. 'I...' Val could not form words. Clearly she had enjoyed the experience, but at the same time the thought of what could have happened had terrified her. Still, Dienza was at least able to see that the trust she had in him had not faded from her eyes. Following a quick wash in the kitchen sink, he set her down in the living room and resumed his practice.
