Spider-Girl: Hero or Menace!

This is a question that seems to be buzzing across everyone's lips these days. Is Spider Girl really here to help us? Or, is she using her anonymity to further whatever nefarious purposes and plans she has? We have seen so many of her kind use their powers for ill.

Do not the fine servants of this city keep us well protected? Have the police suddenly let the criminals run uninhibited? We all know this is a silly question, as the police and other hard working people that keep this city safe, do their utmost. The Daily Bugle stands behind the lawfully ordained civil servants as they face all the more trying times set about due to these, masked "heroes".

What do the citizens of New York think, though? Do you find Spider Girl to be a boon to our fair city? Or, is she a menace that needs to finally be put in shackles? So, I took to the streets and asked my fellow New Yorkers what they thought.

I asked one woman, who was getting her morning coffee, how she felt about Spider Girl. 'Spider Girl? Yeah, I've seen her in action. Stopped a car once from running into a shop.' She said, while others around her nodded in and shared words of the same sentiment of positivity.

I stopped by a construction site, and asked some of the workers who were taking a break, what they thought, and how they felt about New York's latest masked wonder. 'Eh, never seen her myself, so I can't really say.' Said one man, while his co-worker shared his point of view. 'Sure, she's been in a lotta mess. Always some buildin' breakin', and we gotta fix it. Don't think it's her doin' the bustin', but she's still there at the heart of the mess all the same.'

On the subway, I asked the busy traveler what they thought as well. The answers I received were quite positive, with a handful telling of their indifference, or disinterest. Overall, people seemed happy that she's around. 'I just feel safer knowing that she's out there, somewhere. Doing the things the cops aren't able, or allowed to do. Criminals are running scared, and that makes me feel better.' Said one, who wished to remain anonymous.

From the tone of The Big Apple, it sounds like a great many are glad she's here. Only time will tell if they change their tune.
