Poor Chess! Fate really seems to have it out for him! You'll see what I mean.

A Teleportation Gone Wrong; Mission: Failed?!; A Forced Transformation; The Search Begins!

Well, today did not go as expected. When I woke up today, it was not peacefully like one would expect in the Hall of Origin where there was nothing living inside of it, except for Arceus, but instead, the ground was shifting, pillars were falling, the lettering on the walls was glowing! Trust me, it was terrifying! For fear that the Hall of Origin would collapse with me inside of it, I hurriedly teleported to a location that I felt was safe. I was trying to teleport back to Capital City, but something went wrong. Horribly wrong. As I was teleporting, the Plates fell out of my bag! As soon as the last one, I think it was either the Stone Plate or the Mind Plate, fell out of my bag, the "Tunnel of Teleportation" disappeared and I was stranded in the middle of a forest that seemed oddly familiar. Almost as if I had been there before, at least in my head. I spent what felt like a minute pondering where I could be, when I felt it. PAIN! It lanced its way up my spine, and all around my body! My ears, feet, and hands felt like they were going to fall off! The pain that I felt from those however, was NOTHING compared to the pain that came from the base of my spine, right above my butt. It felt like I was experiencing growth pains there, but it was hard to tell considering the fact that the rest of my body hurt as well. Then, my "Field of Vision" shifted drastically downward, almost as if I SHRUNK! In fact, that is exactly what happened! I had become a CAT! (...I really need to learn how to control my ability to transform.) As soon as I realized that I was a cat, I knew EXACTLY where I was. I was in the world of Warriors by Erin Hunter! ---Great book series. You should totally read it! i'll just go sit in this chair and be quiet...--- This was beyond my wildest dreams! Not only was I in my favorite book series, but I was also my favorite animal of all time, it still is my favorite! Judging by the scenery, dense forest with a lot of brambles, I would say that I landed in Thunderclan territory. ---If you are confused/want to know the approximate location of Chess, look-up "Warrior Cats map- Forest".--- Then I heard the whirring and shrill shrieking of a machine grinding something up resonating throughout the forest. With my ears flat against my skull, I pelted (ran) away from the noise.'OK. That had to be "Treecutplace", which places me in The Forest territories inside of Thunderclan Territory. It looks like I am on the edge of the forest, right by the "Twolegplace" (Twolegs are humans, so Twolegplace is any location that humans live).' I was forced to stop after a while because I tripped over something! Scanning (looking) around for the cause of my tripping, I spotted a pinkish rectangle on the forest floor. It was the Mind Plate! On the surface of the plate, there was an imprint, that I did not notice before, in the shape of a cat's paw! Putting my front left paw into the impression, I felt a surge of energy enter my body. After the surge left me, I felt intense pressure inside of my skull! My brain started to hurt! However, the pain and pressure faded almost as quickly as they arrived, taking the plate with them. 'Alright,' I thought, 'that was the Mind Plate, which boosts the power of Psychic moves. Maybe I have the ability to push my thoughts into other beings' minds.' No sooner had I thought that, then I heard movement in the undergrowth! It sounded like fighting, but there is no reason for fighting to occur in this part of the forest, 'Unless...' carefully stalking up to the noise, so as not to draw attention to myself yet, I peered over the undergrowth to see what was making the ruckus, and lo and behold, it was a cat with grey, fluffy fur, and a cat with fur the color of rust, light orange and dark orange, but looked like fire when the sunlight hit it! There were also two cats watching the scuffle, a male and a female. I could not interfere in the fight as it would alter the storyline, but I could convince the cats watching to want the rust-colored cat to be a part of their clan! I pushed the desire into the mind of the female to want this particular cat to join their clan. Upon seeing the two cats that were fighting, I knew that I had entered INTO THE WILD! I was in the beginning of the first book of the first saga of the series! Leaving the cats to the story, for now, I continued searching for the plates. Heading back the way I came, I went to a secluded spot in the territory, and sat down to think. I thought about where the plates could have ended up, and I could only come up with a few. 'The Iron Plate was probably at the Lumber Mill, TreeCutPlace is what it will be referred to as the rest of this chapter, I probably had to wait for a thunderstorm for the Zap Plate, the Flame Plate would probably only show up when there is a fire, the Toxic Plate was probably either near some Deathberries (Yew berries) or near Snakerocks, the Splash Plate is most likely in Riverclan, the Sky Plate might be at the gorge where Skyclan will live, but it is more likely to be in the Twolegplace because it was their old camp, and the Dread Plate should be in Shadowclan,' I concluded. 'Alright, now that I know where some should be, I should head for the ones that I know where they SHOULD be.' Before I could start on my way to the Iron Plate, it was the closest to me, I was stopped. I was stopped by a Thunderclan patrol! By the smell of them, they were the hunting patrol because they smelled like mouse, squirrel, and the other animals that they hunt. "What are you doing on our territory?" a black and grey male cat asked me. "Just passing through," was all I said. "Then why are you on our territory?" the black and grey cat questioned. "Yeah, why?" a small dark brown cat, parroted. "There are somethings in this world that you do not understand," I stated, "and this is one of them Darkstripe, same to you Dustpaw." "How do you know who we are?" Darkstripe, the black and grey cat, asked, interrogating me. "All you need to know is that I know a lot more than you ever could." "That is not an answer!" Darkstripe hissed. "Do you really want to fight one of your warrior ancestors?" I asked, knowing that they would not fight me out of fear of inciting the wrath of Starclan, their warrior ancestors. Darkstripe said nothing in response, instead he just hissed at me. "How mousebrained do you think we are?" the third cat asked, finally speaking up. This cat was lightly colored, tabby cat with stripes along his pelt. 'Pretty mousebrained sometimes,' is what I wanted to say. What I actually said was, "What do you mean Longtail?" "Why can we see you if you are a Starclan cat?" "We can make our presence known to those we wish. I just didn't feel the need to hide at this time." "Yeah right!" spat Longtail, "You are probably a Shadowclan spy sent to observe our patrols!" "If I was, why would I be over here, by TreeCutplace which is by RIVERCLAN?!" "Then you are a Riverclan spy!" "I don't have time for this. Just stay out of my way. I am just passing through! I need to get to TreeCutplace before tomorrow!" "Well then, we will escort you. Dustpaw, stay behind us and run to the camp if it is an ambush." Dustpaw nodded in response. "I know where to go, so you can follow me if you want," I let them know. "Fine, if only so that we know that you are not trying anything shady," Darkstripe spat. After a while of walking, we drew near to the TreeCutplace. There was no sound coming from there, however I could sense that there we about ten living creatures inside of the Treecutplace. All ten of them were hostile! It was then that I sensed that were being followed by another TWENTY creatures. These ones WERE ALSO HOSTILE! However, I could sense a truly malevolent energy coming from the ones behind us. I could also sense the Iron Plate at the center of the TreeCutplace! I slowed down to try to formulate a plan really quickly, but when I did, the TreeCutplace erupted! The 30 creatures were engulfed by what was going on, and I encountered the first evidence of how dangerous the plates could be after being flung clear across the TreeCutplace!

BOSS TIME! YAY!! This time the boss is REFERRED to as both the Plate Cutter, mainly because it is made up of machines that are used to cut up trees and the Iron Plate, and the Iron Plate, but it will be called the Plate Cutter, or P.C. for short, for the most part. Now, this boss is not like the others! Partially because Chess DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A SWORD, and partially because he is not a humanoid creature! Now, Chess has to fight the TreeCutplace itself! The Iron Plate has possessed the machinery there and has turned it into a robot with the Plate covering the "heart" of the robot, which is the fuel tank of one of the machines. The impression is on the outside of the robot, so if Chess manages to touch the plate, the battle is won. Otherwise, the boss will not be able to be defeated!

The TreeCutplace's machines had become a robot! At it's core was the Iron Plate! Dustpaw, Darkstripe, and Longtail were laying on the ground at the edge of the clearing that we entered from and the Plate Cutter was heading directly for them! "Get out of here!" I yowled at them, "RUN!" They did not respond! I knew that if I did not do something and fast, the story would be changed beyond repair! I ran to get in the way of the Plate Cutter to try to stop it, but I knew that I would not be fast enough to stop it. In a desperate effort to save them, I had tapped into the power of the Mind Plate, the power of PSYCHIC! Using the psychic powers, I stopped the Plate Cutter by slamming a boulder into its "face". It stopped charging at them, turned around, and started charging AT ME! It was then that I noticed the impression on its chest. It was in the shape of a paw print! I needed to cause it to fall onto its back, with the saw blades unable to prevent me from touching the Iron Plate! While dodging out of the way of its attacks, I formulated a plan. 'The legs were not protected by saw blades, so I could smash something hard into them, like a boulder.' I knew that wouldn't work, because I was already feeling tired, so I had to find a different way! The only problem was, THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY! So, since being strategic was out of the picture, I had to go at it in a head on rush! Yes, I am aware that this was suicidal, but at the time I had no choice! Running as fast as I could at the Plate Cutter, dodging the saw blades all the way, I started to run VERTICALLY UP the Plate Cutter! Suddenly, saw blades popped out of the crevices on the Plate Cutter's body, giving me no paw-holds as well as giving me a lot of obstacles. It would appear that I had entered "Phase Two", not that I cared. I just kept on running, dodging out of the way of the blades until I reach the pelvis area of the P.C. I did not make it unscathed. One of the blades caught the tip of my tail, slicing the tip off! It was as painful as it sounds. I paused to catch my breath, only for a second, and I felt the blood pulsing out of my tail. I knew that I had to make a mad dash up the Plate Cutter to the Iron Plate now, or it would be too late. I ran as fast as I could up the rest of the Plate Cutter, almost losing the rest of my tail in the process. My paw slipped into a hole, causing me to trip and fall. The thing is, I TRIPPED INTO THE IMPRESSION ON THE IRON PLATE! The reason that I know this is because RIGHT AFTER I tripped, the Plate Cutter started to glow! There was a shrill screeching noise as the Plate Cutter started to fall apart. The Iron Plate continued to glow, despite the fact that the rest of the Plate Cutter had stopped glowing a while ago! It was a couple of seconds later that I felt the surge. The strength that the plate possessed was absorbed into me! My paws changed into small swords right before my eyes! That was all that I saw, because a second later, I collapsed due to a severe loss of blood. When I came to, I was inside of a cave, the air was filled with the scent of healing herbs, and my paws were paws again. "You're awake," a cat meowed, "How do you feel?" "Where am I?" I asked, gazing around blearily, the cat was a tortoiseshell (Calico) which meant that this cat was a female. "You are in the Thunderclan Medicine Cat den. How do you feel?" "Better now that I know where I am. Thank you Spottedleaf." "How did you know my name?" Spottedleaf asked. "Don't tell me that you are from Starclan because I would've seen you." "I am a very knowledgeable cat. That is all." "What is your name?" I wasn't sure what my name was. After all, that is an important piece of info in this world. 'Considering how crazy my claws are, my name is...' "Wildtalon. My name is Wildtalon." "I can see where you got that name." "I need to leave now. I cannot mess up your clan's lives anymore than I already have." No sooner did I get those words out, then I felt a sudden pull towards the back of the den. It was the kind of pull that could be associated with plates considering how powerful they are. "Although, you might have something of mine in with your herbs. A rectangular tablet like this one." I said, conjuring up an image of the Iron Plate in her mind as I spoke. "Just a different color." "Actually, I think I do. The dawn patrol found it by the Twolegplace and brought it back here for me to see. They think that it has some connection with Starclan, but I don't think that it is." "Can I please see it, so that I can see if it is what I am looking for?" "Sure, but how did you put that image into my head?" "If the object that the patrol brought back is what I am looking for, I will explain everything that I can." I promised. "Alright," Spottedleaf meowed. "But don't leave until I get back." "I am your patient." Spottedleaf darted into the back of the den, to retrieve the potential plate. Honestly, I had hoped that it was not one of them because then I wouldn't risk breaking the story. "Is this what you are looking for?" Spottedleaf asked, startling me. I looked at the blood red stone in front of me. There was the impression of the paw right smack dab in the middle of it. It was the Draco Plate. "Yeah, it is one of them." "How do you know?" "See that impression in the center of it? The one in the shape of a cat's paw?" "No." "Exactly, to an ordinary cat, such as yourself, this just looks like a weirdly colored stone. But to me, it is much more than that. Watch." As I said this, I was lifting up my paw, and was setting it into the impression. As I had come to expect, the plate had disappeared when I put my paw into it. "Where did it go? What did you do to it?" "I absorbed its power, and it is no longer needed." "You have some explaining to do!" "Alright, listen because I will only tell this once." When I said that, I started to explain why I was there, leaving out the part about me being royalty of course. Spottedleaf was listening intently to the entire story. "Wow. I can understand why you told Longtail, Darkstripe, and Dustpaw that you were from Starclan. I mean, who would believe the story that you just told me?" "By the way, who brought me here?" "Longtail actually carried you here. According to him, the other two wanted to leave you laying there. He argued that they at least owed you the courtesy to bring you to the camp to try to save your life since you had saved theirs." "Where is Longtail? I would like to thank him." "Bluestar sent him to Sunningrocks to help defend it from Riverclan." "Then that is where I need to go next. I know that because I feel a pull from that direction." "Well, you have healed fast...Alright, you can go, just be careful not to reopen the wound." With that, I was off to Sunningrocks. I travelled quickly, because I felt a strong desire to find Longtail, and thank him, and to find the plate that felt like the stones around it. I knew this time that I was looking for the Stone Plate. Then it hit me, the Draco Plate did not give me a new power! Due to not knowing how long I was unconscious, I should have asked Spottedleaf that before I left, I hurried to Sunningrocks. Turns out that I had guessed the day right. I ran up to Longtail as he was not at the battle yet. "Longtail!" "Ah, the fake Starclan cat. What do you want?" "I wanted to thank you for saving my life yesterday." "Don't worry about it. You saved our lives..." "Look out!" I yowled cutting him off. I pushed him to the side as a Riverclan cat pounced at him. Somehow slipping my paw into the impression in the Stone Plate without realizing that I had found it until the strength of the Plate flowed into me! I felt myself becoming like the rocks themselves. I BECAME STONE! HOWEVER, I was still alive (Obviously. Otherwise, how am I writing this?)! The Riverclan cat was looking around confused, because I had seemingly vanished into thin air, even though I was standing right in front of him. Longtail was confused as well, I could feel it, probably because of the Mind Plate. As soon as I moved, they jumped back in surprise! With a jab of my paw, I sent the Riverclan cat skidding back a couple of tail lengths (feet for us humans). It is a good thing that my paw was no longer a knife because I cannot kill these cats! I do not know who is vital to the story and who is not! Then, I heard and felt the ground shake! The three of us looked at Sunningrocks, saw that some of the rocks had collapsed on top of where two cats were fighting! The Riverclan cat turned tail and ran back to Riverclan's territory. "Return to camp Longtail. Trust me, you don't want to be here in a bit. Besides, the battle is over," I told Longtail. Without a word, Longtail turned around and returned to camp. "Fight the cat that comes into camp with Lionheart today." I hollered. The only response I got was a tail flick. A little bit later, I heard a cat shriek in pain, but the shriek was cut short. Once the shriek stopped, I felt a pull from the direction of the river that marked the border between Riverclan and Thunderclan. However, I sensed an energy similar to the TreeCutplace, which meant that I would have another fight on my hands...er...paws. However, I also felt a tug from behind me! Pulling up a mental map of the area, I realized that the tug was coming from the Thunderclan Training area! There was no intense energy coming from this one, so I decided to go for that one first. It was a quick trot over to the training clearing. However, when I got there I had to hide because there were cats around it. Then, I heard a cat's yowl off in the distance and the cats pelted, ran, away to the Thunderclan camp. I darted into the clearing to find the plate. "So this is one as well?" Spottedleaf asked me, appearing out of nowhere, with a light green plate in front of her. "Yes." With that, I walked up to the plate and put my paw into the impression. I felt the strength of the plants flowing into me. All of a sudden, the trees surrounding the clearing grabbed me and held me high above the forest floor. From this vantage, I saw that I made the right choice. In the location of the other plate, there was a wall of water! I "decided" to spend the night in the embrace of the trees. I'll take on the Splash Plate, it had to be seeing as there is a WALL OF WATER and the Splash Plate boosted the power of water, in the morning.
