Once again, I do not own anything in this Chapter except for Chess. "Tiny" is owned by a good friend of mine who would prefer to be anonymous and is used with permission.

Upgrade! A New Face of Evil!

Alright, the journey here has been tricky. More difficult than it should have been. Something went wrong when Margret sent me here and I ended up in the middle of the Kokiri Forest! How this happened is a mystery. However, until I can figure out how to get out of here, I can't use telepathy between realms for now, I need to focus on getting what I came here to get. I came to this realm to get something that could help me pick up the hilt of the cleaver. "You know what," I said to myself, "I could have cut the hilt into pieces for easier transport. NOW I THINK OF IT!" "Who're you talking to?" a voice asked me from behind me. "Myself." I responded. "Is it fun?" "Not really." "Then why're you doing it?" "I have a lot on my mind and I needed to put it into perspective." 'Psst you're a silent protagonist! Act like one!' A mysterious voice rings in my head! 'Huh?' 'You're just lucky that this is not part of the game!' 'Wait, I'm before the start of Ocarina of Time?!' 'Bingo!' 'No wonder. Wait, who are you?' 'I am Navi! I break the fourth wall before the game starts so that no one knows about it. Now, GET TO BED SO THAT THE GAME CAN START!' Yeah, I was confused too, so don't feel alone. Anyway, for those of you who have played The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time in any of its forms, you know what occurred after I fell asleep. Sure enough, I had the nightmare. Then I woke up to Navi essentially attacking my head. The knowledge that she hit her head on the fence that is about three Kokiris high (seriously how did they build those fences? They are so short!) was enough for me to brush off the bruises that I received from Navi, seriously when I went to bed, I had FIFTY heart containers and now I am down to THREE! This didn't faze me as I ignored what Navi was saying because I already knew what to do and what was going on. As soon as she shut up, I ran out the door. After Saria, the cute Kokiri female that she is, accosted me because I finally have a fairy, Link was a fairy-less child amongst a bunch of people who were blessed by the fairies. I got enough rupees to buy the shield, I found the Kokiri Dagger (which is practically a butter knife) and got past the village fool. All that so that I could go into the guardian of the forest, kill the creature that we think was put in him as a parasite, get the Kokiri Emerald and leave the forest behind for a long time. However, the guardian didn't have the emerald anymore! A Like-Like, a shield-eating monster, had eaten it long ago. All of the races had something stolen from them by this Like-Like. So, instead of going after the great evil that I had dreamed about at the start of the game, I now have to go after this strange Like Like. "Wait! Great Deku Tree, do you know if the Goron Bracelet was taken by the Like Like?" "Half of it was, the other half was entrusted to us. Here take it." "... The Like Like is as good as dead." "Huh?" By the time the Great Deku Tree has responded, I was gone. As I was getting to Castle Town, I encountered a massive landmass! Knowing that the plains of Hyrule Field can be unforgiving to someone who is not an experienced explorer, I avoided the landmass. Luckily, I knew where everything is. However, as I headed towards Castle Town, I noticed that something was missing. Namely the drawbridge. Ok, first, I don't receive the emerald, then Saria can't give me the Ocarina, a landmass is in the middle of the path that shouldn't be there, and NOW THE DRAWBRIDGE IS GONE! Wait, is that Ganondorf? Ok now I am really confused. Running up to him, I saw that he was kinder looking, not as malevolent as he usually does. Upon my approach Ganondorf had asked me, "What do you want boy?" I said nothing because I am supposed to be a silent protagonist, but I did push what I wanted to say through thought waves, 'What are you doing out here?' "I was hoping to be able to extend the olive branch to the king of Hyrule, but the bridge is gone completely. However, this could not have been the Hylians doing." 'What do you mean?' "The bridge would simply be up if they did not want visitors." 'Good point.' "Hmm... what is your name?" I did not reply. "First our Ice arrows and our quiver disappear, then we recieve word that the Gorons had lost their bracelet AND their spiritual stone, and we also heard that the Zora had lost their spiritual stone as well. Is there a connection?" Ganondorf pondered. "I think so," I had said, breaking my role of a silent protagonist. "The Kokiri have also lost their spiritual stone. I have heard that the Royal Family has lost their Ocarina AND Zelda. The Great Deku Tree seems to think that a Like Like is behind all of these thefts." "So you can talk." "Of course I can talk! If I can yell in pain, I can talk. Also, you cut me off." "I'm sorry," Ganondorf had said cowering in fear. "Please continue." "As I was saying, I believe the Great Deku Tree. After all, why would a tree lie? Also, he is very wise." "I agree with you. However there is one flaw in thinking that a Like Like could steal all of that stuff." "What's that?" "They are not big enough." "Hmm. Now where would the culprit be located?" "Are you ignoring me?" "What is out of place?" "Stop ignoring me!" Ganondorf whined. "OH! I know where it is!" I exclaimed, "Follow me!" Off I ran, not checking to see if Ganondorf was following me. I ran back the way I came, towards the hill that shouldn't be in the middle of the path, but it was gone! "I knew it! Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to catch it." Suddenly the world went dark, almost as if the sun had been swallowed! Knowing that the sun should be towards my back, I had turned around. It was a Like Like! Based purely on the fact that this thing was big enough to BLOCK OUT THE SUN, I had assumed that this was the culprit. Unsheathing my sword, I had prepared for battle! ---Hello once again. It is I, the author! It is time for another boss battle! This one is against the dreaded Giant Like Like! This creature is of a very rare subspecies of Like Likes. Like the more common Like Likes, the Giant Like Like has an incredibly thick outer shell. It is able to suck unsuspecting creatures, and various things into its body with vacuum like inhale. The inside of this creature has a shell that has the thickness of a Dodongo's hide, which is very thick (a sword can't pierce them normally). It has a tendency to steal various objects when it tries to suck in food. These massive creatures will eat anything that moves, but have a strong dislike of shields interestingly enough. It can only digest plant life however. Normally, they do not absorb "shiny" things. However, when they are starting to reproduce, which they do asexually, they suck indiscriminately.--- I knew from playing the game that Like Likes have a thick hide, but for some reason Deku Nuts will cause them to be able to be damaged by my sword. Luckily, I still had some from inside of the Great Deku Tree. However I did not know how to use them properly, and still don't. This was important because Deku Nuts can cause blindness! I did not, and still don't, want to risk going blind. So, unless it bent down enough for me to slice at the "mouth" there was nothing I could've done! The Like Like could've just glide right over me and I could've done nothing to stop it! I was helpless! I asked myself, 'Why does being a hero have to be so difficult?' No sooner had I thought that, then the Giant Like Like had begun to convulse! Out came the half of the Goron Bracelet that the Like Like ate, along with the Master Sword! The half of the Goron Bracelet that the Great Deku Tree had given me had started to glow, as did the one the Like Like had spit out. They then fused together to become whole once again. "Hey buddy! Heard you needed some help," A mysterious voice had cried out. "Yeah! There was nothing that I could do to harm it until now! Who are you?" That was all I managed to get out before the entity left. Leaving only a simple wooden boomerang behind. Picking up the boomerang I couldn't help but laugh. If he wanted his identity to be a secret, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE ENGRAVED HIS NAME ON THE BOOMERANG! "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Tiny Tiny Tiny, heh. ... Thanks. I wouldn't be able to win this fight if it weren't for you!" I had then picked the Goron Bracelet up off the ground and put it on my wrist. I was suddenly flooded with an immense wave of pure, unbridled strength. I had felt like I could pick up Death Mountain, run around Hyrule Field, WHILE avoiding King Dodongo (second boss of Ocarina of Time)! I knew that I couldn't, but that is how I had felt! I felt like I was Over Powered! Then I realized something, I NO LONGER LOOKED LIKE LINK! I was myself again! Grabbing the Master Sword in the hand that had the Goron Bracelet attached to it, I stood up, ready for the TRUE fight. Now, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The Master Sword was supposed to be able to cut through the thick hide of the Like Likes without having to hit their "mouth". However, for some reason that I wasn't aware of at the time, the Master Sword bounced off of the Giant Like Like's flesh! That had confused me completely. It also made me really mad. I mean, this creature wasn't playing by the rules! The last thing I had seen was the Like Like bending towards me, then all I saw was... DARKNESS! When I came too, I was in a spongy, pink cavern. It only took me a second to realize where I was, and the mistake that the Giant Like Like had made. The Like Like had sucked me into its body! I was in the belly of the beast. LITERALLY! The mistake, the inner flesh was soft, pliable. That also meant that it was easily cut. I had a sword. I could cut it. However, the inner flesh would have to be tougher than it should be. As a result, I swung the Master Sword with all of my Power! The first thing I had heard, was the Master Sword BREAKING! ---This shouldn't be possible by the way--- Then, I heard a sudden whooshing of air! I had poked a hole all the way through the Giant Like Like! This was an impressive feat because the Giant Like Like had about 75 meters, or about 82 yards, of stuff between the inner wall of its stomach, and its hardened outer skin! The sheer amount of air escaping through the hole that I had made forced everything that was inside of the Giant Like Like out, including me. This should've been a good thing, and it was. Until you realize that everything was hurtling towards the fiery depths of Death Mountain, home to the Gorons in Hyrule. If something hadn't happened soon, my life would have been over! Suddenly, I was back in my castle! I was back in Capital City! I was in my bed! I had thought that the journey to the Legend of Zelda Realm was just a dream, but then I saw the Goron Bracelet on my wrist, and a broken Master Sword in my hand. I need to relay this to Margret now, so I am closing this entry here.
