Hard time 3

By: Beefy the Bull

-Prequel to 'Hard time'

Note: this story contains my favorite Characters, but is non-cannon with their main story line, and I don't much like the poor way I portray them in this story, they are much kinder, and really just two great and honest bulls.

A bar fight. Nothing more, a drunk punched 'the faggot bull'. Magnum turned him in to a pulp. The drunken man died that night in the hospital, and four months later, the judge sentenced him to life without parole in court.

Magnum knew he could handle it, he also knew Beefy wouldn't be able to. After six months the relation was strained, Beefy started to unravel more and more, faster and faster, he was bad at caring for himself, he lost weight, he didn't talk to anyone other than Magnum, and their only contact was the once a month visit, and only for a hour. Magnum watched helplessly as his lover changed in to a confused and lonely bull, desperate for attention. Magnum felt terrible, as it was his fault, being so reckless had gotten him put in jail, and now the one that truly had to suffer was Beefy. For Magnum prison wasn't that bad, he was mostly board, and lonely without his little buddy. They wrote letters profusely. Writing a letters back to Beefy consumed most of his time, with not much else to do it wasn't a problem... yet.

Until Magnum started to fall for his cell mate, a human that was in for 'embezzlement' apparently that was what they called it when you were a political enemy of the state. Magnum finally had a sexual outlet, and some one that understood him. And he was smart too- Not that Beefy was dumb, he just wasn't... the brightest... Beefy didn't know, he didn't need to, it would just hurt him, to know that Magnum was with someone else.

If things weren't bad enough, Magnum suffered a great blow, one that destroyed his ability to take care of Beefy, after his celly was murdered, he wasn't able to emotionally care for the other bull, how could he when his own heart hurt so? Stricken by grief, his letters to Beefy slowed to a trickle, then stopped. Mag's sorrow turned to hatred for the murders, he would have vengeance. Mag stopped having visitors, when he no longer had time to deal with Beefy, fighting a prison gang that numbered in the hundreds was a twenty-four-seven thing, he didn't have time for stupid stuff like that...

Mag decided to fight fire with fire- he formed a gang of the toughest and cruelest criminals. Men that had no remorse for killing were to weak. No, he wanted ones that would enjoy it - like he did when he killed the man whom took his cellmate's life. That was how the gang got its name: "Sadists"

Beefy was devastated, when the guard told him his lover didn't want to see him anymore. He was a wreck until that day, but after that moment he was destroyed, not even a shadow of his former self. After three weeks of confinement in the apartment where he lived, he decided he had to act, he had to see his lover. Taking one of Magnum's old guns, he shot and killed a random old man on the streets, and sat smiling next to the body- gleeful that soon he would see his love.

Between hearings, court, and transfers to and from a hospital for the criminally insane, Beefy -or Beef as they now called him-had to wait three years before he finally would see his love, his idol, the only person, the only thing in the world that mattered to him. His time in prison and the hospital left a undeniable mark on the bull, tormented, and tormenter, he was a nightmare to himself and others.

-Years later-

Today! Today was the day! He would see Magnum for the first time in almost three years! He dreamed and planed this day out. Every moment, his every word, his every action, had been the focus of his entire being for years and the moment was at hand! Beef sat smiling in the bus that was transferring him to the maximum security penitentiary. Sitting in the orange jumpsuit, he was an odd spectacle, his horns sawn off ( in the psyche-ward he was considered a danger to himself and others, and the horns had to go.) and rocking back and forth rhythmically, he could hardly hold in his excitement. When the bus stopped he complied whole heartedly with the guards, following their orders to the letter- he needed to be good in order to get transferred in to the same cell with Magnum- yes, that was the plan. And after a few weeks of good behavior, begging the warden, and wheedling the mental health professionals, he had managed to get the transfer of his dreams, he shook with excitement, after three years, twenty three days and seven hours, and thirty four minutes- he was finally going to be reunited with Magnum! As the guards walked him down the cell block, he smiled broadly, he couldn't hear anything, the walls seemed to glow, and he felt warm, warm like he had when Magnum had held him last- That was exactly three years, twenty three days, seven hours, and thirty minutes ago. He stopped, oblivious to the world around him, watching the door in front of him waiting for it to open to reveal his reward. All his careful planning came to this! The door opened, in shock he stepped in and the guards uncuffed him, and there! There Magnum stood before him, mere feet away, he could smell the familiar smell, he knew his every word in advance, He was with Magnum! As the door closed behind him he stepped closer to his lover, and called to the still figure standing with his back to him.

" M-Magnum!" Beef excitedly called out.

Mag turned, his expression flat, as he eyed the small bull suspiciously.

" The name's Mag." he coldly informed Beef.

Beef was put off some, but ultimately undeterred, he leapt to his lover, and hugged him, he wanted to smell the white bull, that was one of the things he missed the most.

But as he touched Mag, the white bull pushed him back hard, and threw a powerful punch, landing in the center of Beef's chest, he fell and hit the floor, shocked. What had happened just now?

" Don't touch me like that bitch!" the white bull yelled angrily, and tuned away, laying down on his bunk, uninterested in the brown bull.

Beef was destroyed by the words, he didn't bother to get up from the floor, instead he curled his legs close and cried quietly on the cold concrete floor for the rest of the day, and through the night. It had all gone wrong, what was wrong with himself? Why had he destroyed his relation by angering Mag? Why was he such a worthless piece of trash compared to him? His heart hurt so badly, both from the punch and the words. Through the night the cold concrete talked to him. It whispered things in his ear, it told him what to do. He thanked the concrete, whispering his thanks, and kissing it, giving it a quick peck... he didn't want Mag to get angry with him. Smiling he lay there and waited for morning.

Mag was confused inside, a lost love retuned, but neither of them were the same, Mag knew he was a monster now, Magnum was gone. He looked at the gang tattoos on his arms and realized, what they had once was gone too. He didn't have feelings like he use to, he didn't care like he use to. He wasn't weak anymore.

When the guards opened the cell doors the next morning, Beef was ready, the two bulls and a few other prisoners were lead to the showers and as they stripped and showered, Mag watched him some, and Beef noticed the white bull getting an erection, now was the time to move. He turned his back to the white bull, and bent over.

"Mag, I need you!" he lusted, humiliating himself, but for a good cause.

The other prisoners mocked him but he paid no heed to them, soon Mag would take him, and reawaken his love. The cell floor had told him to give himself sexually to the white bull, an offering to reawaken his God's love. The cell floor was smart... no Beef thought, the cell floor wasn't smart, it had just spent a lot of time with Mag, and knew what he wanted. Yes that was right. He smiled, so glad to have listened to its advice.

" You little slut!" Mag bellowed, grinning cruelly. Roughly he put his hands on beef's hips and took him, it was quick and impersonal, but that didn't matter, he would remember their love now! When the other bull finished with him, he pulled out and rinsed off. Beef turned around smiling, and he wanted to fall in to the grasp of the white bull. Mag's second rejection hurt more than the first... maybe he needed to give it some time, he thought as he watched Mag talking with the other five prisoners in the shower. Mag tuned and smiled at him! That was it! It was working! But wait, why was he leaving? Then the other men seized him, four of the men grabbing his limbs, the other standing before him, they were strong too- working out in the prison gym every day for years did that.. they forced him down to his knees, and as the fifth man stood behind him, Beef cried out to his lover:

" Magnum, Mag, help!" he struggled in the grasp of the four men.

Mag's response was his back disappearing through the shower door, leaving Beef alone with his rapists.

The cell floor had lied! No one should listen to the cell floor, it would mislead you, he thought he ought to warn everyone else about the floor and its ways, but he remembered what the doctors thought about secrets like that, no he would keep this to himself too. Just like that lamp in the doctor's office had told him to. That lamp was funny, and kind of ugly, but it told him what to say so they wouldn't give him the pills any more. What a smart lamp. Or maybe it too, was like the cell floor or that gray-and-white-moth... liars both of them... it was too soon to tell. He would have to be more careful as to what he trusted from now on.

Once the five men had their way with him, they left, letting him crawl to the corner of the shower. Depressed and confused, he knew he needed to find a good consultant. One he could trust. He would need to devise a test, to prove that whatever he consulted could be trusted. And he would need to administer the test several times randomly..yes. And think! They all thought he was insane! Insane people weren't this smart.. no he was quite sane, he was certain of that.

Later, in the prison yard he considered the last few days. His only success was Mag fucking him twice. It was a good start. But the white bull wouldn't talk to him -other than to tell him to stop talking to things. he had shut up, but he had wanted to tell the floor he knew that it lied to him, that he was going to warn the others if it didn't stop whispering to him at night. The gall of that dastardly thing! To try and confuse him like that, keeping him up at all hours of the night with its incessant words. He had to wait until Mag left the cell to finish talking to it.

Presently he looked around the yard, trying to find a good consultant, one that could give him good advice. Wandering around slowly, he placed his ear to various walls, doors, drains, and almost everything in the yard. It would take some time but he would succeed soon or later. Success was found three days later, when he gave up, and sat in the middle of the yard. Sitting there he lamented his in-ability to find an object that wasn't insane, and babbling incoherent words to him. But then sitting there he heard it, a faint whisper, words that spoke truths. Looking around for the source he homed in on a small pebble in the grass. At last! But he needed to be wary, lest it deceive him, like the others. He remembered his test, it was so clever.. he smiled to himself, he was always clever like that, after all he had gotten himself in to prison, with Mag for the rest of his life!

He took the pebble close to his ear, and listened intently, before he gave his test. Holding it in his open palm in front of him, he asked it-

" Why am I here?" He waited quietly for its response, its whispers twisted quietly in to a formidable response. He heard ten thousand whispering voices, deciphering it was easy for someone as smart as himself. All the voices had to be added and subtracted. He subtracted all the voices that said different things, and added all the ones that said the same thing... if he wasn't so smart, the voices probably would have driven him mad...

The pebble told him:

> Demons and angles fight and shaped the stars; The wind deflected around your horns <

He nodded in agreement to the words. The pebble was smart, almost as smart as him.

" Why is there blood?" he asked of the pebble.

> To make fearful slaughter; to bring vitality to life < it whispered in ten thousand gravelly voices.

Again the pebble proved itself. But now he was ready to spring his trap on the unsuspecting pebble:

" Why do I love Magnum?"

If the pebble was truly evil and wanted to mislead him, it would answer this one wrong. He waited.

> The universe; The cosmos ; The stars <

Beef smiled broadly, the pebble wasn't a liar!

" What should I do?" he asked it, still holding it in his open palm, wondering if he should have given it more time until he asked.

The deafening roar of voices filled the world around him, pushing reality, tearing it away, he floated in a scarlet void, the voices were so many the words were so strong, the pebble grew in to a spinning boulder in front of him, as he drifted around it, he wondered if he would be able to figure it out...

Fin.

End note:

Mag's sadistic bent and Beef's confused and pliable mind, bring the two close, and there love rekindles, but now as perverted form of its former beauty. And that leads up to the story: 'Hard Time 1'
