Beneath my size 12 feet and my newly done tail..." the red dog flicks his tail which is done with yellow flowers dyed into his fur, "18 brand new teams are headed here for Saint Vincent Hospital for a new race all over the world. I'm your host, Toner McAlister, and this is season 2 of... The Amazing Race."

"Welcome to the Amazing Race 2. 18 spankin' fresh teams are headed here for Ottawa, Canada: the starting line for a bigger, badder, and awesomer race. Let's meet the teams right now."

Diesel & DeeDee (brown dogs)- Policefurs. "We're so gonna win this." DeeDee says. "There's no doubt. We're probably the toughest team here."

"I know." Diesel says. "We're so gonna rock this race. Just, don't get too crazy, ok?"

"No promises."

Joy & Pain (sky blue huskies)- sister and brother. "You better not mess us up like you messed me up at the talent show." Joy says to her brother.

"For the last time, it wasn't my fault the bucket dropped mud all over you!" Pain shouts.

"You set it up with your little buddies!" Their mom made them do this race together.

Griffin (orange and black striped tiger) & Zander (grey wolf)- Coworkers and currently dating. "I still can't believe they made me lose weight before we came on here." Griffin says. "I like my gut bigger."

"Griffin, you're still 395 pounds." Zander says. "You're not that smaller. They just said you couldn't be over 400 pounds to come on the show."

"Yep. Now I'm 395 and I'm ready for this."

Milon & Zax (grey foxes)- workers at a video game store known as Arcadia. "You ready for this?" Milon asks.

"You bet." Zax says. "Because we're not Samantha & Steven. We're not gonna get distracted by video game loss."

"Exactly." They're used to playing video games a lot; but they know how to give up a habit.

Zoe (pink tiger) & Patricia (black cat)- Book Publishers. "At least we're not working all day in that nasty print room." Zoe says. In case you can't tell, they don't really like their jobs.

"True." Patricia says. "And plus, how awesome is it to get to visit all around the world?"

"I'll answer that: very."

Shelly & Fran (brown wolves)- Bus Drivers for an elementary school in Toronto. "I hope we win," Shelly says, "do you know how much bus drivers get paid? Not much!"

"Who are you talking to?" Fran asks.

"I... don't know."

Kit & Kitty (white shepherds)- Twin Sisters. And yes, everyone realizes the irony in Kitty's name in relation to her species. "We were worried people couldn't tell us apart." Kit says. "But luckily we did."

"We had the fur around our eyes dyed black." Kitty says. "My black eye is on the right, Kit's is on the left."

"It seems weird; but hey, what're you gonna do?"

Miles & Joey (red foxes)- Vegetarians. "I'm a girl! Just so everyone knows!" Joey exclaims.

"They get that." Miles says. "My cousins Mario & Zelda failed the race last year; but me and Joey are gonna do awesome."

"I just hope we don't get kicked off first like them."

"We won't."

Barbara & Eddy (grey wolves)- Restaurant Critiques; both well known in Canada. "We've visited the restaurant Tommy & Regina opened after the last race," Barbara says, "we gave it 5 out of 5 stars."

"I still think the spices were a bit much." Eddy says.

"Whatever. You're just jealous they cook better than you do."

"No. You are just a sucker for Italian food." This is 9 teams so far; but there's still quite a few more left.

Also competing this season: Becky (orange vixen) & KiKi (blue vixen)- professional mountain climbers and tour guides. "We've conquered Mt. Everest and Mt. Kilimanjaro... twice." Becky says. "So we thought this race would be a piece of cake."

"Then again, it was tough for most teams last year." KiKi says.

"I'm aware. As long as we don't become one of this teams who stays behind most of the race, we'll be just fine."

Paul & Phil (yellow foxes)- Yiff Stars. "We're used to the camera on us." Paul says.

"But mostly when we have powerful sex, sometimes with other furs." Phil says.

"The prostitutes did well last year, so I'm sure a couple porn stars will do ok."

Amy (pink vixen) & Hector (red bear)- Porn Directors. "We're not used to being on camera." Amy says. "We're mostly used to being behind the cameras."

"Yep." Hector says. "But that doesn't mean we can't be. Besides, we needed a break from our job so we signed up for the race."

"And what better to do this with than your good friend."

Maxwell (brown fox/wolf hybrid) & Richard (white husky)- Mall Hooker and his #1 customer. "Richard and I have been through so much together." Maxwell says. "When we first met, I thought he'd be freaked out by our age difference. I'm 30."

"And I'm 17." Richard says.

"But I think we make a great pair and we can do well in this race."

Boomer (polar bear) & Joe (black fox/skunk hybrid- Teacher and student; secretly dating. Well... not secret anymore if they're on the show. "Joe and I have been secretly going out for a while." Boomer says. "I caught him watching the finale of last year and I asked if he wanted to do this together. Sure I had to lose some weight; but I can always just gain it back when I get back home."

"Boomer is the greatest guy ever." Joe says. "He is also a great teacher. Best thing about him is how cuddly he is."

"Awwwwwww."

Vince (red fox) & Sam (red wolf)- Cruise Directors for a ship, that mostly holds gay couples, off the coast of Canada. "I wasn't sure about doing this at first." Vince says. "What with leaving my son and his boyfriend at home by themselves; but I'm sure they'll be fine."

"You have no idea how long it took to convince Vince to come with me on the race." Sam says. "But, I'm happy it's with him." Sam laces fingers with Vince as they keep walking towards the hospital.

Jasper & Mitch (white hound dogs)- Fraternity Brothers and best friends. "This is gonna be so cool." Jasper says. "Now that we're done with college, I suggested to Mitch that we do the race."

"I'll admit: he had a good argument." Mitch says. "'What else are we supposed to do?'"

Jared & Cynthia (Beige fur)- Coyotes. "We're pretty shy." Jared says. "But we decided coming on the show would be a good idea to come out of our shells."

"We've been friends since grade school." Cynthia says. "I've always had his back and he's always had mine."

"I'm sure we'll do fine in the race. I just hope we don't end up like Cassie & Shawn."

And last, but not least, Tammy (red skunk) & Rachel (green cat)- Olympians. "We love a good competition." Tammy says. "We've mostly won gold on hurdles events."

"Except once." Rachel says. "We won silver once; but we're good enough to do better than third."

"But no one has any reason to worry: we're not Hans & Claudia so we won't be super competitive."

All 36 new racers make it to the front of Saint Vincent Hospital. Toner walks out the front door and onto the street where they wait for him. "Welcome, fresh meat." Toner starts out. "This hospital is the starting point of the race. However, there are somethings you should probably know. First off, last year was child's play; this year, it's gonna be big. Last year was a race the United States. This year, it's a race all over the world; plus, it's gonna be in 26 legs instead of 15." Toner walks over a few feet and places a paw on a black box. "As I'm sure you recognize, this... is the clue box. Press the button and it'll give you the clues that will lead you through the Amazing Race. Each leg of the race ends at a checkpoint. But, you might wanna be fast because the last team to reach each checkpoint could be cut from the competition. However, this year, I'm including non-elimination legs of the race. I'm just not gonna tell you when they are. Does everyone understand?" The crowd cheers and gets excited to start.

"Alright then," Toner says, "On your mark... get set..." Everyone gets ready to run. "RACE!!" All 36 players run for the clue box. Vince & Sam reach it first.

"Route Info: race on foot to the Peace Tower and find the next clue box waiting outside." Sam reads. "C'mon!" Vince & Sam take the lead with Kit & Kitty, Zoe & Patricia, Tammy & Rachel, and Diesel & DeeDee trailing behind them.

The Peace Tower is about a half a mile away from the hospital. "There's the next clue box!" Vince points out. He makes it there first and takes the clue. "It's a Detour. What's a Detour, again?" Kit and Zoe get their clues next.

A Detour is where the teams have a choice of two tasks. In this case, they either climb the stairs all they way to the observation deck just under the giant clock, or they can take the elevator and bungee jump off the deck. Do either task and a local Canadian (brown coyote) will hand them keys to an Amazing Race cab waiting just outside the tower.

"Let's do the elevator." Sam says.

"Elevator." Kit says.

"I'm sure if I can do heights." Zander says.

"It's alright buddy, let's head for the elevator." Griffin says.

"Easy: stairs." Zoe says.

"Stairs." Tammy & Rachel say in unison.

"Stairs. That'll be so easy." Becky says. While a lot of teams choose to take the stairs (Diesel & DeeDee, Joy & Pain, Shelly & Fran, Miles & Joey, and Barbara & Eddy), other teams choose to use the elevator (Boomer & Joe, Jared & Cynthia, Milon & Zax, Maxwell & Richard, and Jasper & Mitch).

"We should take the stairs." Paul says.

"Agreed." Phil says. "I don't think I'm ready to go and jump off a building yet."

"We'll take the elevator." Amy says. "I know how you're not a big fan of stairs."

"No I'm not." Hector says. While team who chose the elevator start to go up, teams who took the stairs start to have a lead.

"First place!" Zoe yells.

"Not for long!" Tammy says. Her and Rachel are right behind the Publishers.

"Bring it on!"

"Oh we will!" Rachel says.

"Policefurs for the win!!" DeeDee shouts.

"Keep it down DeeDee!" Diesel says. He turns around and sees the siblings are are half out of breath.

"We better not get in last!" Joy says. "Otherwise it's your fault!"

"No it ain't you cranky little shit!" Pain says.

"We've dealt with worse." Diesel mutters. Behind the siblings are the mountain climbers, bus drivers, and vegetarians.

"This is nothing." Becky says.

"I know!" KiKi says. "We've handled worse in Everest."

"You guys seriously conquered Mt. Everest?" Miles asks.

"Yep. We weren't the first but I was still incredible."

"Sweet. Wish interesting stuff would happen to us."

"All we have is a bad label." Joey says. "Nothing good ever happens."

"You're in the race aren't you?" Becky asks.

"True."

"Ugh. Do I have to hear this all day?" Shelly asks.

"Calm down, Shelly!" Fran says. "We've only been here one day."

"Well, feel free to drop out of the race anytime." Becky says. The trailing team on the stairs are the yiff stars: Paul & Phil.

"We're in last place aren't we?" Paul says.

"Currently, yes. But I hope we aren't the first ones knocked out." Phil says.

"Me neither."

At the top of the building, the 9 teams who chose to bungee jump got on separate elevators; but they all arrive at the same time. "There is it!" Sam points out. They run towards the observation deck where the local (Ethan) is waiting for them. He points to a bunch of bungee straps and opens the window.

"You can do this!" Sam says.

"I hope so!" Vince says. They get each other strapped in and so do the rest.

"I don't think it'll fit me." Griffin says. Zander's already hooked up.

"Suck in, babe." Zander says. Griffin does as he's told and Zander gets him strapped into the bungee cord.

"Will it hold?" Griffin asks.

"Oh yes." Ethan says. "These cords can handle up to 700 pounds."

"Ok." Griffin & Zander hold paws and step to the window.

"Ever done this before?" Kit asks her sister.

"No," Kitty says, "but how hard can this be? All we have to do is jump."

"This looks bad." Jasper says, looking down at the ground.

"I know; but it's just a jump and it's over." Mitch says.

"Alright. If you say so."

"Boomer, I've gotta be honest, I'm nervous." Joe says.

"Relax, I'm right here with you." Bomber holds Joe close. Griffin & Zander jump out first and then Vince & Sam. Boomer & Joe, Jasper & Mitch and Jared & Cynthia soon follow. The Arcadia workers and porn directors have trouble jumping but they eventually do.

"Wish us luck." Richard says and him and Maxwell jump out. As most of the teams fall and come back up, Tammy & Rachel reach the deck first.

"First!" Tammy gasps. Ethan hands her keys and a clue. "Route Info: take the elevator back down to an Amazing Race cab where you'll head to the airport." Once teams are done with the Detour, teams must head for the Ottawa Airport.

"Did we make it?" DeeDee asks. Ethan hands them the keys and clue and they head off. Griffin & Zander, Vince & Sam, Joy & Pain, Zoe & Patricia, and Becky & KiKi complete the task and they head off.

"Done!" Kit says. "Now give us the clue." Ethan hands it over and the sisters run off. Amy & Hector, Boomer & Joe, and Jasper and Mitch get the bungee task done too.

"That was crazy!" Jasper says.

"You think?" Hector says rhetorically.

"There's no time, c'mon!" Amy says. The vegetarians and bus drivers get their next clue soon after. Jared & Cynthia come back up and Milon & Zax and Maxwell & Richard soon follow.

"Great! Now we're in a race for last!" Barbara exclaims when she sees other racers get in cabs and drive off. Ethan hands Eddy the next clue as Paul & Phil arrive.

"To the airport!" Eddy says. The yiff stars and critiques run for the elevator.

"I'm here at the Ottawa Airport where the teams will head when their done at the peace tower." Toner says. "First team to come here gets first class seats for my private plane. The others will be stuck in coach."

Some cans pull up out of the airport and they go running inside to find Toner. "Tammy & Rachel, you're the first team to come here."

"Awesome!" Tammy says.

"For that, you get first class." Toner hands the Olympians the gold tickets for first class. "Griffin & Zander, team #2."

"Sweet!" Griffin says.

"Unfortunately you are guys are in coach."

"That's fine. C'mon Zander, let's get our seats."

"Vince & Sam, third place so far." Toner says.

"Really?" Vince says. "I thought the police were in front of us."

"I guess not." Sam says. They get their tickets and get on board. The seating arrangement on the plane in coach all depends on the order the teams arrive.
