#4 of Renzyl's Worldswide Tour

One of my longest charity stories to day, we have Renzyl taking one lucky winner on a tour of the Nexus Realm in a style only he can bring. The third planet is an odd one where you're either the hypnotist or the hypnotized. Renzyl tends to be the hypnotist, which makes you wonder what Vivid will be?

I need to check and see if the commissioner wanted to remain anon or not.

Vivid stumbled out of the portal and onto the planet still exhausted from his encounter on the last one, his entire body swaying slightly as Renzyl reached out to steady the fox. Unlike the last civilization they had encountered this one seemed more like a modern day one, furs of all kinds walking about and conducting their own business. At that point Vivid was far too tired to notice anything else and before they could arrive at their next destination, he passed out in the rubber dragon's arms.

When Vivid awoke once again he found himself in a rather nice bed, his fur and clothes washed. It quickly became clear he was in the bedroom of a hotel as he slowly sat up and got out. Despite having felt like he had run a marathon before his normally sore muscles felt completely refreshed as he began to mill about the room. With his clothes already on him for the day he opened the door and looked outside to see the lounge of the suite where Renzyl sat on the couch. In one hand he had a bottle of drink with a straw in it that he absent-mindedly sipped while the other one flipped through the channels of the television.

As soon as Renzyl noticed that Vivid was up and awake he turned off the television and gave him a grin. "Well look who's back in the land of the living," the dragon smirked as he ushered the fox over to a table that had a number of dishes prepared on it. "Took the liberty of ordering breakfast, now that you're back on your feet you probably worked up quite an appetite running through the jungle like that."

"You can certainly say that," Vivid replied as his stomach growled while he made himself a plate. "So since you never got a chance to tell me before I passed out, where are we now?"

"This lovely planet is called Cintar," Renzyl explained between sips of his own drink. "Now two separate and distinctive sentient races seem to have evolved out of this place, though if you went down to the streets you'd be hard pressed to tell them apart. The main difference is that one group has evolved a high level of psychic abilities while the other group has not. Now as it usually comes to pass those with such abilities tend to rule over those who don't, which you'll see for yourself when we go out there and mingle."

"Well that certainly is a lovely development," Vivid said as he ate. "I suppose you had a hand in the development of those abilities?"

"Surprisingly no," Renzyl admitted. "They were like this when I happened upon them. Since I also possess some measure of mental acuity naturally we became fast friends, and from time to time I convert one or two that want a more tangible power. The ones that I transform here tend to become a subgroup of mine I like to call hypnagas, and it's because of them I'm here today since they've requested that I pick up a few crystals that help in both honing and containing their power."

"And I'm coming with you?" Vivid asked.

"Of course," Renzyl stated. "Just make sure that when we're out and about that you stay close to me when you can. Since you don't have any psychic powers they're going to look at you as a plaything for their amusement, so be on your guard. Other than that they have some amazing art and architecture displays that use their own resonance, I think you'll find it all quite beautiful."

Renzyl waited for Vivid to finish his breakfast before they set out from the hotel into the city proper. With his energy restored the fox could see the area in a new light that wasn't hampered by exhaustion and at first it did seem like a typical city. As they waited in line to get into one of the art exhibits that Renzyl had talked about; however, the differences could be more easily spotted, some of the furs talked to others the same way most would speak to a dog or a cat. Those on the receiving end of such talk didn't seem to mind, though, and as Vivid looked harder most seemed to have a goofy, slightly spaced out, or otherwise glassy-eyed look to them as they grinned happily at the praise. Some even had collars and leashes on them and were led along by the one that had no doubt hypnotized them.

The exhibits themselves were rather amazing in nature, most of them were crystalline in nature but had things like colors that bounced back and forth, water that turned in all directions, or some other physics defying quality that wasn't magically induced. Renzyl explained that it was due to the crystals being charged with some sort of psychic power that was then molded around, something that Vivid quickly caught onto as they continued on the tour. When they got to one section of the museum they found it was an interactive section of the exhibit, one that Vivid was more than happy to explore. As they went from exhibit to exhibit they found one where those who specialized in mental imagery were available, and when one opened Vivid eagerly took his place in the seat opposite the black-furred lioness.

"Well hello there, hun," she greeted. "What can I do for you today? Something thrill-seeking and dangerous, or something a little more kinky and sexy?"

"Oh my," Vivid responded as he grinned sheepishly. "I'm not sure honestly."

"Well I'll tell you what," the lioness replied with a smile of her own. "I'm going to be going on break here soon, and instead of having to break in someone behind you, I'll just give you a twofer and you can have both! Now I'm going to do a quick scan of your mind so I can see what to do for you... don't worry I'm not going to tinker in your noggin or anything, I just want get a feel for what you may like or not like."

Vivid nodded and the lioness instructed him to look into her eyes. As his blue eyes met her violet ones they seemed to flash with a bright light and for the briefest of moments he swore he could feel her thoughts until it quickly evaporated into thin air. Her grin seemed to grow bigger and she told him that she had everything she needed, so all he had to do was relax and stare into her eyes while listening to her voice. Almost immediately he could feel himself get pulled down, his body growing relaxed on her command as his gaze became locked onto hers. Those brilliant purple orbs became his only focus as the entire world grew dark around him, the power of the hypnotist seeped into his brain as she continued to pull him deeper... and deeper...

Suddenly the fox felt the air rush around him and it took him several seconds to realize that he was falling through the sky. He gasped loudly, though it was lost in the roar of the atmosphere around him as he continued to plummet. As he started to steady himself so that he wasn't tumbling head over feet through the air he quickly realized that the only thing he wore was his clothes, there was no parachute on his back nor any other safety gear. A voice inside his head said that it was completely natural; however, and to just enjoy himself, and despite knowing he was in a dangerous situation, he didn't feel that panic.

After about a minute or so he finally got the hang of falling through the air enough to move back and forth or to the sides as he looked down to see exactly where he was falling. His eyes widened when he saw an expanse of ocean that touched from horizon to horizon with the only thing that broke up the blue surface was an island directly beneath him. In the middle of the island was what he thought was some sort of landing target in a mountain, but as he continued to fall closer to it he saw that the bright orange dot was actually the opening of a volcano! He was directly over it and as he tried to move himself to drift away from it the shear wind pushed him back until he was once more directly over it. Soon details in the land became clear as he fell towards the center of the volcano, everything from the trees to the bubbling magma that he streaked towards.

Just as he held up his hands in a feeble effort to save himself he saw an empty pocket that the magma flowed around and he instinctively seemed to drift towards it. He let out a shout as he shot past the red hot shelf and fell into the volcano proper, waterfalls and rivers of magma sloshing and spraying around him as he flew by. It was intensely beautiful and insanely dangerous, as though one wrong move would cause him to become nothing more than a streak on the wall. Nevertheless he continued to fall and be guided by the air current until the magma disappeared and he was suddenly surrounded by crystals instead.

"Whoa..." Vivid said to himself as he flew by them, continuing to fall at a steady rate. What became clusters of glowing crystal soon became huge spires, more than once he had to shift his body in order to avoid a giant bridge of it that extended across the tunnel. It started to feel like he was in some sort of video game, especially as the scenery changed once again and the walls became covered in trees and flowers that he had to avoid as well. Every time he thought he would get squashed by something in front of him, he felt the draft in the giant hole push him just enough to avoid certain death.

Just as he got used to the bizarre falling through the world the scene around him changed once again, but this time the hole seemed to widen until he was surrounded by black space dotted with stars. His falling turned to floating as he looked out at the edge of the cosmos and saw stars close-up, planets, and bizarre anomalies he had never imagined before. It was a scene of breathtaking beauty... until he started to drift towards a black hole. He shouted silently as he began to try and swim away from it, but he only continued to float towards it, accelerating before he reached the event horizon...

Suddenly the scene around Vivid changed and he found himself in some sort of mansion, and when he looked down at himself he found he was dressed in clothes that a thief would wear. In front of him was a pedestal with a golden jackal mask encased in glass and something about it drew him to it. When he got to the glass case he carefully opened it and grabbed it, then placed the case back down. When he didn't hear any alarms go off he began to walk away from it while he examined the inside of the ancient artifact.

Just as he was able to put the mask back in his bag; however, the inside of the mask began to writhe, and before he could drop it tendrils rose up like snakes and wrapped around his head. With an unforeseen strength they pulled the mask out of his hands and onto his head, the thick rubber pressed against his face as his hands darted up to try and pull them off. It seemed to suction itself onto his head, and as the eye holes of the mask lined up with his own the edges began to glow with an unearthly light. He soon realized that it was his own eyes that were ones glowing as the rubber tentacles that had wrapped around his head began to slither down his body.

As the rubber assimilated his fur and left him with smooth, shiny black skin he began to hear whispers in his mind, the mask's will pushing into his mental state while the rubber continued to cover his body. He held up his hands in time to see markings appear on them, ancient runes that slowly became more meaningful to him as they swirled around the rubber. In the back of his mind he knew that the mask was using them to somehow bring him under his thrall, but he couldn't stop watching the spiraling pattern as his claws lengthened and turned into a brilliant gold like the mask. When he flexed his latex limbs they had the strength of a hunter, or of a guard... yes, that was what the mask wanted him to be. He had been chosen, a timeless rubber jackal in service to the gods.

Vivid felt his longer rubber tongue slide past his lips as his muzzle lengthened slightly to fill out the mask, his features becoming more canine to better fit the role he was about to play. The tentacles that had wrapped around his arms and legs spread out over his form to finalize it and with it Vivid had been reborn, the golden runes on his body signaling the ownership of his form to the deity that had changed him. He could feel the presence of that being in his mind and his nose tilted up into the air as he received instruction on what to do.

Finally the transformation was complete and he was a proud jackal guardian, ready to find the deity that he was sworn to protect. His new limbs flexed with newfound power and strength as he bounded towards the door. As he ran forward; however, his body suddenly failed him and he fell onto his back, his vision growing hazy as he felt reality swirl around him. The scene around him dissolved away until he sank into blackness, hearing the sound of numbers counting up in the background before he finally lost hold of his consciousness...

When he blinked his eyes again he found himself back at the museum and in his normal form once again, the lioness grinning at him as he slowly came back to his senses. "I certainly hope that you enjoyed yourself hun," she said before she stood up. "I'm going to head up on my break now, I think I saw your owner browsing at the souvenir stand, you should be able to catch up with him there. Enjoy the rest of your day!"

Vivid nodded and thanked her for her time, though he could feel his body flush slightly when she mentioned Renzyl as his owner. He remembered what the dragon had said about the difference between those with psychic abilities and those without, so he didn't correct her as they shook hands. Once Vivid got his post-hypnotic bearings he stood up and walked over to the nearby gift shop where he saw the rubber creature trying on sunglasses that failed to hide his glowing red eyes. Renzyl saw him approach and put the glasses back on the rack, then said that it was just about time for lunch and the two walked to a nearby food cart in the pavilion that bordered the museum.

"You know I travel to these places all the time and I still marvel at how differently each society evolves," Renzyl mentioned after swallowing a bite of his hot dog. "You have this one where a dichotomous hierarchy came about because one simply had the power over others, while other planets can swing the other way and brand such people as evil or heretics. Then of course you have the hivemind planets; now I know that I have a connection to all of my minions, but there's nothing quite as surreal as asking one of those citizens a question and then having everyone in the general area reply to you."

"I can imagine," Vivid replied as he watched the people mill about while their hypnotized thralls followed like puppies, which was a completely normal thing for them. "Do you think they're happy, the ones without the power?"

"Most likely they are," Renzyl answered. "The thing about mind control or hypnosis or whatever is that the longer you have someone under your thrall, the more that thrall gets used to it. Now a willing subject will sink deeper into that state willingly and you have someone that's completely and utterly yours to mold and develop, but someone who was brought into the fold unwillingly will be able to muster more and more resistance, even if they aren't consciously aware of it. I have the feeling that if those without power weren't at least somewhat wanting this, then the whole society would have revolted by now."

As they continued to eat Vivid couldn't help but imagine what it would look like, the thralls throwing off their mental shackles and the ensuing revolution. Would it turn into the type of society that Renzyl had mentioned before, where those with psychic powers would be vilified, or even hunted? Such a thought might be why these psychics seemed to treat their pets with care, and now that it had been pointed out he did see that despite the difference in power the psychics treated their thralls with care and respect. Before he could go too far into their discussion Renzyl looked up at one of the clocks and said that they had to get going so he could pick up what he came to the planet for in the first place.

They threw away their garbage and headed over to one of the smaller shops that was in the shopping district, a sign with a gemstone cluster painted on it hung over the entrance as they walked inside. The two were suddenly surrounded by crystals and gems of all sorts; some of them glowed with an unearthly light while others remained dormant, a few even floated in the air and they all seemed to resonate with some sort of psychic power. At the other end of the shop a naga sat there with his elbows on the counter, idly flipping through the pages until he saw he had customers. When the shopkeeper looked up his muzzle brightened into a smile and he quickly slithered over to give the rubber dragon a hug.

"Well if it isn't my favorite customer!" the naga said as they broke the hug, though the snake body wrapped a coil or two around the dragon. "It's been a while since you ordered that pallet of inhibitor crystals from me, how have they been working for you?"

"They were exactly what I needed," Renzyl replied with a grin as he leaned on the coils. "My subjects in the rooms next to the hypnagas also thank you now that they aren't constantly under their thrall when they try to go to sleep. I do believe introductions are in order, by the way. Vivid, I would like you to meet Caiaphus, Cai, this is my traveling companion, Vivid. He's been shadowing me while I run my errands and... taking in the sights as it were."

The naga eyed up the fox and Vivid could feel the presence of the other male's power in his own mind for a brief second as the reptile smiled at him. "Pleasure to meet you, Vivid," he said as he snaked his boy around to get a full look at him. "I love the pink and blue highlights on your fur, I've been thinking about doing something with my own scales and know of this place where I could get a tattoo that shifts based on my mood, but it's a little expensive. Renzyl offered me something similar, but this rubber rascal has a bit of a reputation so to speak, so while I'll certainly sell him anything he wants, I'm always just a little wary when he offers any sort of personal deal."

"Speaking of such," Renzyl interrupted the naga's tirade. "I know you just got in a shipment of targeted amplification crystals and my hypnagas have been begging for me to pick some up to experiment with ever since they found out I was coming here. Why don't we go into the back and conduct a little business?"

"Your psychics have good taste," Cai replied with a grin as he uncoiled himself and slithered towards the back. "Let me take you to the back and pull out some samples for you to see, I actually have several different styles for you to choose from. Will your new friend be alright in the store while you shop?"

The two looked at Vivid, who nodded and said that he would be fine. He watched as the naga and the dragon walked into the back of the shop. The fox decided to have a look around at the merchandise while he waited, first examining the raw crystals that hadn't been enchanted with anything before moving on. It appeared that they were actually able to create and harvest such gems like crops, which made sense to Vivid considering how much he had seen them utilized everywhere and even as part of the art installations. No wonder Renzyl went here to get such things, he thought to himself as he grabbed a floating crystal and rose a few inches off the ground himself, they were likely masters of the craft.

Once he was done with the levitation charm he moved down one of the aisles and was glancing at several pendants that would allow psychics to handle their thralls remotely when he heard a whisper that caused his ear to twitch. He looked around for the source of it and eventually came upon a display box with several crystals placed on holders. They glowed with a bright light and had wisps of ethereal energy that came off of them, and when he opened the door to the unlocked case they seemed to glow even brighter. He glanced around and couldn't find any indicator of what they were, so he decided to reach out and grab the bright purple one to see what they did.

"Freedom!" A voice rang out in his head as soon as his fingers made contact with the gem, the wisps of ethereal energy immediately wrapping down his hand and arm. As he tried to drop the gemstone he found his hand not responding to his commands as he back away from the display case. His other hand grabbed his bicep as he felt his arm flex, then stretch with muscle as crystalline purple scales began to grow over the black fur of his hand. When he tried to use the fingers on his free hand to pry the gemstone from his grip the transformation spread to them, as well, and both arms quickly started to change and expanded where the scales covered him.

"Renzyl! Cai!" Vivid shouted before his arms moved of their own accord and one of them went up to silence him. As soon as the corrupted flesh made contact with his muzzle he felt the scales grow there as his teeth grew out past his lips and he found himself unable to move them anymore. His mouth continued to move; however, as a deep, throaty laugh came from it while the gemstone scales continued to spread over his body.

"Finally a new body to call my own," Vivid heard in his own voice, though it had grown deeper as he felt the scales cascade down his thickening neck. "Just need to make a few adjustments before I take you out for a spin... And by a few adjustments, I of course mean a top to bottom overhaul..."

Vivid gasped internally as his traitorous arm took the gem and placed it against his throat and slowly ran it down his chest. The second the crystal touched his fur more of the brilliant purple scales sprouted from his body and his chest swelled out with muscle wherever they touched. As he felt his pectorals grow larger the creature that had taken control of his body continued to slowly move the corruptive crystal down with a deliberate slowness that tingled with pleasure wherever it touched. When it got to his flat stomach the crystals formed into a solid eight-pack that the creature flexed, then moved it further down until it hovered just over his already-swollen member.

As he felt the energy already begin to encircle and stimulate it the creature continued to hold it tantalizingly out of reach while his transforming muzzle continued to have a grin plastered on it. By now the vulpine features of his face had been completely obscured by the reptilian muzzle of the creature that took him over as the transformation inside his maw began to travel down his throat. Strangely as his completely altered purple tongue licked over his lips he got a sugary taste in his mouth, like he had just eaten a piece of hard candy as the tingling of pleasure continued to spread over his body.

The encased fox's thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the crystal finally touched the sensitive flesh of his rod and a single smooth piece of crystal began to form over it. Vivid's cock throbbed with lust as it was covered with the hard, yet still flexible substance. As the scales grew over his groin and down his legs the hand not gripping the crystal began to stroke it and let out a loud grunt of approval from the sensation of it in his hands. It was a surreal sensation for Vivid as the gemstone dragon took over the rest of his body, his fluffy tail thickened with the heavy purple scale. Had he been able to the fox would have moaned as the dragon continued to stroke his rock-hard cock.

As the dragon continued to indulge in Vivid's body the fox began to see images of what the dragon was about to do... soon after his transformation completed he would set the crystal in his forehead and take complete control of his body. Then once his domination had been established he'd find another, someone that he could stick his new equipment into and turn them as well. From there it would be unbridled sex and transformation as Vivid felt his feet grow larger, the gemstone scales flowed over his toes and merged them into three heavy, clawed digits as the dragon began to rise up the crystal to his forehead to cement the transition-

"Faltus!" A voice suddenly shouted and the purple gemstone dragon turned his body to see an angry naga staring at him. "What did I tell you about changing people as soon as they touch your crystal?"

Immediately the demeanor of the creature changed and he rubbed his stony hands together as he looked away. "I'm so sorry, Cai!" Faltus apologized. "I was so excited when someone grabbed my crystal I just jumped the gun, you know, give them the full experience like you said! I didn't think that they would have grabbed it by accident, I swear!"

Cai sighed and rubbed his temples. "You didn't implant the crystal yet, did you?" the naga asked, and when the dragon shook his head again he held out his hand. "Give me the crystal and we'll call this an honest mistake as long as the fox you trapped or his owner don't feel like punishing you for such a misstep."

Renzyl shook his head and waved his hand and as soon as the glowing purple gem left Vivid's transformed hand, the glowing purple scales of his body went dark for a brief second before they melted off and out of his body. Once again all he could taste was sugar as he spat out the melted rock that had filled his mouth previously. At first the vulpine thought that his clothes would be ruined but was surprised to see that there wasn't a single stain or tear on them. Once Renzyl made sure Vivid was alright, he turned his attention back to the naga who put the stone back into the case and locked it.

"I thought soul gems were illegal," the rubber dragon asked simply.

"They are illegal," Cai replied with a smirk. "These are not soul gems, they are conduits that are linked to individuals who have a particular affinity for mental projection and possession. If someone wishes to get that sort of experience they can come here and get taken over by their choice of creature for a temporary amount of time, until the energy in the crystal is expended. We have the dragon you were unknowingly introduced to, we also have a demon, a fairy..."

"Why did it taste like sugar?" Vivid interrupted.

"Another safeguard," Cai explained. "The composition of the crystal is essentially rock candy. Not only does it deteriorate when exposed to psychic energy, but the bond is much weaker than an actual crystal or gemstone, which means that our possessors can't go off-script and take over a body permanently. Plus, as I'm sure you've guessed, it provides a better flavor profile than straight-up stone."

Vivid just nodded and waited while Cai and Renzyl concluded their business, then the rubber dragon escorted him back outside the shop and stretched. "Another day, another successful business transaction," Renzyl mused as he looked around. "There is a bit more to see but I think the time is right to move onto our next destination, which if my internal clock is correct we should be arriving there just as the sun is setting. Do try not to get into too much trouble on this next planet."

"Hey, that naga shouldn't have left that case unlocked if he didn't want someone poking around in it," Vivid shot back, which caused Renzyl to laugh.

"Too true," he responded as he slit open the fabric of space and time with a single claw, revealing another world on the other side. "Too true indeed..."
