Foiss (Information)
Information on 'Foiss' a vampire spin off like creature that drains not only blood but everything you are.
(Please leave questions and I will do my best to answer them. Helps me form them more as well.)
Foiss
-Attaches to hosts blood to take control and infect.
-Takes hosts mind, body, knowledge, abilities, and powers but not their personal goals or memories. These in a manner can be retained if 'allowed'.
-"Pure Blood" Foiss are very rare and most are ancients, this category extends to second generation Foiss. They are much like a hive minds controller and command those under them.
-Injects a piece of itself or its 'blood' through a bite to either 'breed' through infection or they start to break down the victims powers to be drained soon after.
-When spreading their DNA to make new Foiss the hosts body is put into a euphoric catatonic state, trapped in a fantasy of their pleasures while they are being converted.
-When converted and all their powers aren't drain they most prevalent power will take a physical manifestation in the host. (Such as being on fire or a static field)
-Alternatively instead of converting they can drain the victim of their blood once their own blood has broken down all the powers of the host allowing them to gain them.
--When doing a drain they can still convert the victim into a host who will start out with no powers of their own and will have a set mental capacity. (self willed to mindless thralls)
-All Foiss do have a small amount of Hemomancy, the ability to control blood. This varies by the will of the victim and the power of the Foiss.
-Due to being made up of the blood itself they posses advanced regeneration. Lost blood can be pulled together again, cuts will instantly stitch back to new. The Foiss will always in time return it's host back to their first converted form always wanting to remain 'perfect'. Because of these the Foiss are ageless immortals.
-Use of their abilities will start to drain their energy and they will need to feed on victims to regain blood and energy again.
-When they become too weak the physical manifestation of power will fade till they feed. Another side effect that will eventually take hold is a frenzy and this way they will get something to feed on.
-As they start to get hungry their skin will start to pale more than usual and their eyes will slowly appear to fill with blood and glow in a frenzy.
-All Foiss are connected to their 'Patriarch or Matriarch' on an empathetic level so when a 'foundling' dies the others will know about it.
-One way to kill them is to drain them of all their 'Life Blood' which is much harder than it seems as it is trying to heal constantly at a alarming rate when threatened on this level. While they will slow down it will never stop healing back. Other Foiss can drain another to kill them in this manner. Records have found weaker Foiss trying to attack a Patriarch from another brood and ending up converting themselves to that brood because the Patriarchs 'blood' attacks the attacker.
-Another way is to use null magic, magic strong enough to make a void in existence. This is dangerous for the user though and should be avoided. Sometimes using elemental opposites will be strong against them but this doesn't always work.
-Most the time if brought low they will flee to heal back up over several days once too weak to fight back.
